[00:13] Sentence to be a hero and Fate Strange Fake, an adaptation of a light novel series from the creator of Bakano, which finally brings Japanese multimedia's third most convoluted death game to America. Though for true death game
[00:27] connoisseurs, the real delicacy of the season is definitely Sheibbooui playing death games to put food on the table, which is best described as an avantguard psychological sports drama about a slightly too quiet girl on a personal
[00:42] quest to survive 99 different survival games. For mind games of a different sort, there's The Holy Grail of Aerys, a seriously intense political thriller in the guise of a villainess anime. And if you like more modern political
[00:55] thrillers, the Darwin Incident feels like an anime version of a Michael Kiteon novel. Chenon Witch, meanwhile, feels like an anime version of a grim fairy tale. One of many ways that Shojo and Jose enjoyers are eating the best
[01:10] they have in years right now. Journal with Witch, the story of a semi-successful, socially awkward novelist raising the orphan daughter of her estranged sister, might just be the best anime of the entire season. though
[01:23] it is facing some pretty hilarious competition from Taon's B-side, a rockous romcom about a J-pop fanatic housekeeper who's shocked to discover that her Bishi Oshi's biggest hater is himself. In The Clear Moonlight, Dusk
[01:37] offers a moodier, more thoughtful love story with some interesting things to say about gender roles and identity. Though, if you'd prefer a funnier take on those concepts, there's always Hanakimi, the long- awaited adaptation
[01:51] of a cross-dressing reverse horror manga that actually predates Oruron Host Club. If you want the reverse of a reverse harum, Mayonaka Heart tune is a voiceover themed one of those with one of the most entertainingly certifiably
[02:04] insane protagonists in the entire genre. And for those who prefer their shownen romcoms on the monogamous side, You and I are polar opposites is an absolutely adorable series that cuts out the will
[02:17] they won't they to get right to the good stuff. For straightup comedies, I recommend the easygoing territory defense of the optimistic lord and the demon king's daughter is too kind, which is the cuddliest piece of dad slop since
