Table gives us, this is going to be a
masterpiece. But that doesn't change the
fact that I'm still just a little bit
worried about
pacing. What is up everyone? Welcome
back to the channel and to another
video. Today we are going to be doing a
deep dive into the movie trilogy that
has been announced for Demon Slayer. Of
course, a couple weeks ago, it was
announced that the first movie is coming
out in July in Japan and then August and
September throughout the world. If you
haven't seen all that news, go to the
video right here. I'll I'll link it
right here so you know kind of
everything that's been going on. You can
stay up to date on all the Demon Slayer
news. I've made a couple videos where
I've talked a little bit about my
thoughts and my feelings on how this is
going to be adapted, but I don't think
I've done like a super deep dive into
how I think they're going to adapt the
rest of the story and how I think each
movie is going to be adapted. So, we're
going to do that in this video. I've
gotten a lot of requests for that
actually. So, no time like the present.
Right now, before we dive into today's
video, I'm doing a deep dive into stuff
that has not been animated yet. So, if
you are not a manga reader and you do
not want to get spoiled, this is your
chance to turn back now. I will be very
open about manga spoilers in this video
and talking about things that will
happen all the way at the end of the
story. So, please make sure that if you

Tok. But with that, let's get into it.
Okay, so I first really want to talk
just about how I think the rest of the
story is going to get adapted because
there is a lot of back and forth and
what I think is going to happen here is
going to affect my predictions of how
these movies are going to go. So I feel
like I have to first talk about that and
then I'll talk about where I think each
movie is going to end, what I think it's
going to have and that sort of thing.
So, it's first very important to note
that Eufotable and Anniplex have been
very upfront in stating that this movie
trilogy covers Infinity Castle arc.
Their entire time that they've been
doing this story since the beginning,
they have always said arc by arc. Come
out of Tanjido Unwavering Resolve Arc,
not season 1, Kamado Tanjido unwavering
resolve arc. Muggan train, not season
two, Mugan Train, Entertainment District
Arc, not season 3, Entertainment
District arc. so on and so forth. They
don't combine arcs ever. They literally
have never done that. Even Hashida
Training, which many people felt should
have been combined with Swordsmith
Village, got its own standalone arc.
Eufo Table and Anniplex, if they are one
thing, they are consistent. They are
always very consistent in how they do
things, in the way that they do their
marketing and the way that they release
their seasons and the way they announce
things. Everything is always the same.
And for this, they have been stating
that it is the Infinity Castle Arc movie
trilogy. For those of you who don't
know, which I hope you do if you're
still watching this video, since I
already put a manga spoiler, but I'm
once again reminding everyone, I'm about
to say huge manga spoilers. This is your
last chance to turn away now. But there
is an arc after Infinity Castle arc, and
that is the Sunrise Countdown Arc. These
are two arcs that are part of the same
battle technically. However, Sunrise
Count Arc is not Infinity Castle arc
because it doesn't take place in the
Infinity Castle arc. The final part of
the battle takes place outside because
the only way to defeat Muzan is to have
him in the sun, which they can't do in
the Infinity Castle. So, they got to get
out of it at some point, right? So, that
alone just tells me that the movie
trilogy is going to cover just Infinity
Castle arc just based off of Eufo
Table's history with how they've done
this show in general. On top of that, I
want to give you some numbers here. So,
we are at the end of 139, meaning the
first movie is going to start with 140.
And there are 205 chapters total in this
story, meaning there are 65 chapters
that we have to adapt still to go.
Muggan Train was 12 chapters and they
filled that with an hour and 40 minutes.
So, we're talking roughly 21 to 22
chapters per movie if they are planning
on doing Infinity Castle and Sunrise
Countdown in this movie trilogy. And
that just seems like a lot, especially
because Sunrise Countdown, while it is a
very good final arc, most people can
agree it was a little bit rushed. I
think they would be doing the story a
disservice if they squeezed all 65
chapters into three movies. Unless these
movies are two and a half hours long,
which I also don't really see them
doing. That's not super common. Like, no
matter what way I shake it, like it
makes me stressed thinking about them
trying to squeeze a bunch of battles
into one movie and squeeze all 65
chapters into three movies. Like in my
opinion, that will do a disservice to
this story and will make the ending more
lackluster than it should be because
they're just squeezing for time. And
that does genuinely worry me because for
those of you who don't know, the first
leak where someone that knew something
was production somehow, they tweeted
that Demon Slayer was getting a movie
trilogy, I think it was back in the
summer of 2023, they stated that that
movie trilogy would be the end. They
were saying that movie trilogy is the
end of the story. But this was before
even Hashida training had come out or
anything like that. So it was just kind
of assumed that there would be Hashida
training maybe a season that covers a
lot of Infinity Castle and then movie
trilogy or something along those lines.
But now that we know where Hashida
training ended within the anime, it just
doesn't seem realistic to me. I don't
think that that leak was perfectly
correct in saying that yes, obviously we
know it's a movie trilogy that they were
right there, but I don't think it's
ending with the trilogy. There is a lot
of question as to why they would do a
movie trilogy and then do a fourth movie
or a season after that. That doesn't
make a ton of sense. However,
pacingwise, that makes the most sense
because I don't think y'all realize 20
to 22 chapters per movie. That pacing is
so fast. Like that is just Eufo Table
loves to add anime original content. I
think there needs to be anime original
content at least in the Sunrise
Countdown arc. I just I'm I'm stressed
thinking about the story ending. And I
know like at the end of the day, I do
trust EUO Table and I think that there
is very much a way that it can still
work out if they do it that way. But I
do fear for the pacing. I do fear for
how rushed it'll feel when it already
felt rushed in the manga. To put this
into like to cement my opinion, I do
believe just Infinity Castle is getting
this movie trilogy and then Sunrise
Countdown will get something after that.
We are not going to know. They are not
going to announce anything along those
lines until like the third movie comes
out though because that's the way they
do things every single time. It's always
been the day of the season finale of an
arc where they announce how they're
adapting the next arc. So for reference,
the day of the season finale of
Entertainment District, they announced
that Swordsmith Village was going to get
a TV season. And then on the day of the
season finale of Swordsman Village, they
announced that Hashida Training was
going to get a TV season. The day of the
Hashida Training season finale, they
announced that Infinity Castle was going
to get a movie trilogy. So, we're not
going to get any announcements probably
till that third movie hits theaters,
which is probably at least 3 years away.
So, we're not going to know that answer
for a long time. However, I do think
after the first movie, we'll have a much
more solidified idea because we'll know
what that movie covered and we'll be
able to kind of do the math and be able
to determine if they got enough done
where it's just going to be a trilogy to
the end or if they didn't get enough
done. And it's obvious that Sunrise
Countdown's going to be its own entity.
My personal opinion is Infinity Castle
movie trilogy and then Sunrise Countdown
a
secondary season. I would like a season
honestly. I think it needs more than a
movie because again it's like 20
chapters long. Cramming that into a
movie is only going to make the most
rushed arc in this story more rushed
which would not be good. Okay, so with
the idea that just Infinity Castle will
be this movie trilogy, let's break down
the first movie. So, like I said, the
end of Hashida training ended with 139
and Infinity Castle starts with 140. The
chapter of 140 has a lot of check-ins.
We pretty much check in with every
character. It starts with Tanjido and
Gu. And they have to kind of work their
way through some lower ranked demons. It
says that they have the strength of
lower moons, but because Tanjido is
hosted level at this point, they're able
to get through them fairly quickly. Can
they add some to this just because they
want to probably spend a lot of time
with Tanjido to remind us that he's the
main character? Yes. But I don't think
it's going to take that much time. I
think that probably will be with Tanjino
and Guu at the very beginning for about
fiveish minutes. And then it just kind
of very briefly shows each character as
they kind of run to their respective
fights. It also shows Sonomy totally
crashing out, which I'm actually very
excited to see. Guyome also has some
dialogue where he's talking about
Kagaya, but then like Genya, Enoske,
Zenitsu, and all them just get a very
brief panel where we just see them
running somewhere before we get to the
heart of I think this first movie, Shobu
versus Doma. Now, Shobu versus Doma is a
fight that is fairly quick. It only
takes place about two and a half
chapters, but I can definitely see them
adding time to this one, especially
because we finally really dig into
Shobu's backstory. And if there's one
thing Eufo Table loves, they love
spending time on backstories. So, even
though it's only two and a half pages,
and I'm talking about from the time
Shobu walks in and sees Doma to the time
that Kana like starts to crash out. She
walks in, she does her first attack,
Doma teases her, we see her get angry,
but then we go to Zenitu. So, I'm
talking about from the time that it goes
to Zenitu, I still think that'll
probably take at least 30 minutes with
some added anime original content before
we head into Zenitu versus Kaku. Now,
when it comes to Zenitu versus Kaaku, a
lot of people on the internet think this
arc or this battle really deserves more
time and it needs a little bit extra
content than what it got in the manga. I
don't know if I necessarily agree with
that. I think thematically the point of
this 1v one is that Zenitzu claps Kyaku
very quickly because he pulled out a
move that Kyaku had absolutely no way of
predicting would happen. It is to show
that Zenitsu has gotten stronger than
this guy that thought he was stronger
than Zanitsu this entire time, which
then led him to become a demon. So, I
think that the whole point of this is
that it's supposed to happen quickly,
but I do still think that they will add
to the backstory. We see more of
Zenitu's backstory. We see Kaaku meet up
with Kokibbo, which I thought was
probably going to get a little bit more
time cuz that's important. And I do
think they're going to give it a little
bit more time when Zenitsu sees Gramps
like in the afterlife when he's close to
death. But from the time that Zenitu
shows up to the time that Yoshiro saves
him and we move on from it is also about
two and a half chapters with a brief
touch base with Tanido and Guu like in
the middle of that as well. So I think
that is also going to take about 30ish
minutes. And I forgot to mention that I
think altogether that brief check-in of
that first chapter is probably going to
take altogether about 10 minutesish. I
can just see them really taking their
time with checking in with each
character to remind us that this is a
battle of everyone, not just focusing on
the one person, like the one battle that
we're going to focus on for a little
while. So, we're already at an hour and
10 minutes of run time. And in my
opinion, those predictions are on the
low end. I really do think they might
add to it and might it it might really
be like 40 minutes for each battle which
would then add another 20 minutes to
that run time which brings us to an hour
and a half which is pretty much going to
be I think the runtime of the first
movie. Now, after the end of the battle
of Zenitu versus Kaaku, we do have Akaza
show up and then we see Tamayo begging
for for them to hurry up because she's
going to get absorbed and she's not
going to be able to hang on for much
longer. I think they could also space
that out. And I think that'll be the
end. I think that's the natural end of
the first movie, either with Akaza just
coming through and showing up or Tamayo
begging them to please hurry.
Personally, I think that both of these
battles do need the justice of having a
little bit of additional time,
especially the Shinoba versus Doma. And
I think that no matter what way I look
at it, because both of these fights have
a lot of backstory in it, EUO Table is
always consistent. They're probably
going to add a lot of runtime. And
backstories take a lot more time than
battles themselves because it's more
dialogueheavy than a battle where it's
action and it just happens very quickly.
So truly, if I can really predict here,
I think that the first movie will end at
the end of chapter 147, which seems very
short, but I think it makes sense when
we talk about the next ones. Okay, so
movie 2 is going to be focused heavily
on Tanjido and Gu versus Akaza. Tanjido
is the main character. Akaza is a demon
that we all have beef with and Akaza has
the longest backstory that Euo Table
loves to take their time on. Now, the
Tanjuno and Gu versus Akaza fight goes
from 147 to 158. Exceptionally longer
than the other two, that includes Akaz's
backstory. In the case of this fight,
this is one that I don't think they need
to add a ton. I think it's clear that
Goto really took their time with this
fight. So, I don't necessarily think
that this one is going to be that much
longer than Shobu versus Doma and
Zenitsu versus Kaaku because this one
doesn't need added content. That being
said, it still is going to take longer.
I think it's going to be the first hour
of the second movie just altogether.
Very important, very long. And also just
keep in mind from 147 to 158, we don't
check in with anyone else until halfway
through 157, which is when the fight of
Akuza completely ends because after that
we do see Kokoshibbo very briefly, but
then we get into Kano and then Enoske
versus Doma. And now I do think that
this second movie will end at the end of
chapter 162 when Doma is beheaded by
Kano and Enoske. I think that is a
fairly good cliffhanger. It's not the
type of cliffhanger where it's like
you're truly wondering where we're going
from here. It's pretty obvious that it
means that they defeated him, but it
still is a cliffhanger like, "Oh my
gosh, they got him, but what happens
next? Is he going to die that way? Is he
going to pull an Akaza?" So, I feel like
that's a natural end to it, which means
that the Doma versus Kano and Enoske
fight would take about 45 minutes. And
there we have an hour and 45 minutes of
run time. Covered movie two took a lot
less going back and forth because once
we get to that Tanjo and Guio fight, we
just sit there for a while. But I feel
like that's natural because I think
these two fights, unlike Shobu versus
Doma and Zenitu versus Kaaku, they don't
need as much anime original content as
those fights do. If that sentence made
sense. Now, that means for movie 3,
we'll get the tail end of that fight
where Doma gets like a little bit of
backstory and then Shobu is like, "Come
to hell with me, you little bastard."
Both Enoske and Cano have severe fallout
after this fight because it means so
much to them. We touch base once again
with Tano and
Guu. Shirtless Gu. Do I have to wait
till movie 3 for this? We'll see. We
very briefly touch base with Mitsuri and
Obanai versus Nakime, but I don't think
we're going to get a lot of time on it
because that'll be for later on in the
movie. And then we get the fight against
Kokosbo. The fight against Kokosbo ends
with chapter
179. So that means that the Kokushibbo
fight starts midway through 165 and goes
to 179. So it is chapter-wise the
longest fight of all of them. But again,
I think this one will take about an hour
of run time. They don't really need to
add anything to it. There's good mix of
backstory and action with this fight.
So, with the brief check-ins before
this, like the final little bit of Doma,
the check-in with Tanido and Guu, and
then getting to this fight through the
end, I think we'll be at about an hour
and 10 minutes. And after that fight, we
of course find Muzan, and we fight back
and forth a little bit. And then we get
above ground and there are two places I
can see this ending. One is a decent
cliffhanger and the other one is a
really mean cliffhanger and that is
either the end of 183 where it shows
them all like exploding above land after
they like Yushidto kind of gets them out
or the end of 184 with the declaration
from man that Tanido is dead. That would
be a very mean cliffhanger, but I think
it could work the way they wanted to.
But that's kind of how I see everything
shaking out. I really think that it's
just Shobu and Doma and then Zenitsu and
Kaaku that needs anime original content.
The rest of the fights don't need
anything original. I think Infinity
Castle is paced very well. I think that
both Tanjido and Guio versus Akaza and
Kokoshibbo versus all of them, I think
both of those fights should take about
an hour of run time. When you think
about when they have different arcs, you
know, you think about the fact that like
Entertainment District technically is
all one fight, right? From the time that
fight starts, which is episode 4, till
it ends, which is episode 10, that's six
episodes of 20 minutes. So, an hour
without any breaks really makes sense
for those two very important fights. And
that's why I think the run time is going
to be about an hour. Now, I'm going to
just throw it out there. These are just
predictions. I could be totally off the
mark and they could be throwing Sunrise
Countdown into this trilogy as well. I
just think that there's it it's going to
be rushed through if they don't pace it
the way I pretty much said. So, with it
ending, I'm going to just say it now. I
think they're going to be mean. I think
the movie is going to end with man
saying that Tanjido is dead. And that's
my final answer. The first movie is
really going to tell us a lot once that
movie comes out and I know where it
ends. I will definitely have a lot more
opinions. But those are my opinions for
