# It's Time! Mains and Alts Tier List for 12.1

> Source: [It's Time! Mains and Alts Tier List for 12.1](https://youtube.com/watch?v=jIybDBkRPzU)

## Summary

In this video, the creator presents a personal tier list for World of Warcraft's 12.1 patch, ranking DPS specs based on their preference for maining or playing as alts. They discuss each spec's current state, tier set bonuses, and gameplay feel, offering insights into what makes a spec engaging or boring for them.

### Key Points

- **Frost Death Knight as Main Candidate** [00:17] — The creator is craving to play Frost Death Knight and considers it a main candidate. They enjoy the spec's feel but have concerns about the potential removal of the 'Frost Been' mechanic, which adds variety.
- **Unholy Death Knight Simplified** [01:23] — Unholy has been simplified, making it less engaging over time. The playstyle is predictable and lacks player choice, which the creator finds boring for long-term play.
- **Vengeance Demon Hunter Main Potential** [02:17] — Vengeance is a main candidate due to the upcoming Void Blade playstyle in season 2, which involves leaping in with Void Blade during Hungering Slashes and using Reaps. The tier set incentivizes this playstyle, but there are concerns about Collapsing Star's damage.
- **Havoc Demon Hunter Main Candidate** [03:12] — Havoc is also a main candidate, but the creator is not fully sold. The tier set makes Essence Break do more damage but doesn't align cooldowns, so it might drop to alt if not addressed.
- **Balance Druid Fun but Similar to Unholy** [04:25] — Balance Druid is fun and mobile, but it has the same issue as Unholy: it doesn't try to be fancy. The creator is waiting for a new version of Balance that is more engaging.
- **Feral Druid Smooth Gameplay** [05:03] — Feral is smooth to play with baseline 30% movement speed, making it satisfying. Chomp feels like anti-synergy, and Feral Frenzy is being nerfed, but the spec remains enjoyable.
- **Augmentation Evoker Loses Appeal** [06:23] — Augmentation's balanced design between personal damage and buffs makes it boring for the creator. They prefer either sky-high personal damage or insane buffs, but the current middle ground doesn't attract them.
- **Devastation Evoker Passive Design** [07:44] — Devastation's talent design is passive and doesn't influence gameplay much. Despite the Flame Shaper and double Fire Breath, the spec feels unengaging.
- **Beast Mastery Hunter Improved** [08:24] — Beast Mastery has graduated from 'hell no' to a potential alt. The Apex talent change to Kill Command and more Nature Ally procs make it more interesting, though still simple.
- **Marksmanship Hunter Too Safe** [10:11] — Marksmanship has potential with Explosive Shot changes, but the creator feels they are not risky enough. The spec is an alt for now.
- **Survival Hunter Loses Dynamic Cooldowns** [11:05] — Survival lost the Flame Fang Pitch mechanic, making it more passive and less engaging. The creator is disappointed and considers it an alt.
- **Arcane Mage Main with Prismatic Bolt** [13:06] — Arcane Mage is bumped to main status due to Prismatic Bolt changes. The interaction with the tier set allows for massive damage, making it delicious.
- **Fire Mage Main Candidate** [14:23] — Fire Mage is a main candidate due to personal attachment, but the playstyle is repetitive (build hot streak, spend hot streak). The tier set adds some interest, but it may revert to boring after.
- **Frost Mage Alt Contender** [15:29] — Frost Mage is an alt contender, but Glacial Spike doesn't hit hard enough compared to other abilities, making it less exciting.
- **Windwalker Monk Alt Status** [16:22] — Windwalker is an alt due to lack of appealing mechanics and past disappointment. The creator is scared they might like it if they try, but currently has no desire.
- **Ret Paladin Drops to Alt** [17:06] — Ret Paladin started as a potential main but dropped to alt because the tier set's decision-making was removed, making it passive and boring.
- **Shadow Priest Main Plus** [18:02] — Shadow Priest is the closest to a main, with the best tier set and fun gameplay. If the Shadowy Apparitions build remains viable, it's a 100% main.
- **Assassination Rogue Alt** [19:10] — Assassination is an alt because the new talent doesn't add engaging gameplay, and energy pooling doesn't matter anymore, making it less rewarding.
- **Outlaw Rogue Potential Main** [20:17] — Outlaw is a potential main due to its complexity and difficulty, which the creator enjoys. They hope for both Ambush and Preparation builds to be viable.
- **Subtlety Rogue Close to Alt** [21:11] — Subtlety is close to dropping to alt, but the Goremaw's Bite rework gives some hope. However, the damage seems inconsequential without shadow synergy.
- **Elemental Shaman Least Favorite** [22:15] — Elemental has dropped to one of the least favorites due to passive design and loss of engaging mechanics.
- **Enhancement Shaman Close to Main** [23:10] — Enhancement is very close to being a main, with exciting gameplay, but needs more testing. It might be better than Frost Death Knight and Fire Mage.
- **Affliction Warlock Alt** [24:07] — Affliction is an alt because Seed of Corruption lacks priority damage, and the talent design doesn't allow for competitive single-target or AoE builds.
- **Demonology Warlock Tier Set Disappointing** [25:31] — Demonology has one of the worst tier sets, which works passively in the background. The creator can't see maining it unless it becomes meta.
- **Destruction Warlock Boring** [26:22] — Destruction has a boring design with uninteresting cast times and a passive tier set. It's one of the most boring specs in the game.
- **Arms Warrior Alt** [27:00] — Arms is an alt with an uninteresting tier set, though execute buffs are appreciated. The creator misses the execute weave from Dragonflight.
- **Fury Warrior Close to Main** [27:56] — Fury is close to main but lacks talent diversity. The tier set allows extending Recklessness, but the spec is otherwise straightforward.

### Conclusion

The creator's tier list reflects a preference for specs with engaging, decision-based gameplay over passive designs. Shadow Priest and Outlaw Rogue stand out as top choices, while many specs are relegated to alts due to simplification.

## Transcript

because of course we have to change every season cuz life is fun when you enjoy all of the flavors of the rainbow. Skittles, they could sponsor our videos to be honest, but we're going to be talking about DPS today and rank based
on my personal preference in terms of what I would like to main, what's most will not touch with a 10-ft pole. And let's start it. This is the first version of this tier list by the way because I still need to play a little
I'm going to be putting frost death knight up in the main category. I am craving to play some death knight and it's likely going to be with frost. Spoiler alert for unholy. It is very fun. It hasn't changed almost
at all and I have never really mained this new version of frost. I've never version of frost that we've had since the world within has been really fun all of this time and it just feels like it gives me all that
I need from a melee DPS spec. My kind of only real issue that I'm not 100% convinced on it is that frost been is going to go away and I feel like frost things to play for frost death knight cuz otherwise it kind of feels like it
plays the same. It's kind of like the only reason why I'm not 100% sold, but it is a main candidate so far. As for unholy, I was going to go harder on unholy than frost, but they keep kind of taking away and simplifying the game
boring. I would love to play unholy and I'll probably play it occasionally, but mythic plus key here and there on stream, on twitch.tv/MarcelenandFlame.
watching this video, so the streams will resume once I'm back and we will notify you on our social media platforms. Back to unholy, it's playing really well. The fantasy's definitely there. The play style is just very
for this type of class design where the specs kind of just play themselves where there's no real player choice as long as you don't cap your resources and your and there are no exceptions to your rotation, which makes it a little bit
predictable. It's fun for the first, I don't know, 20, 30 minutes, 1 hour, 2 hours, that's great. But playing it for 6 months, I don't think I'm going to be Oddly enough, since this is still the first iteration of this, the Vengeance
is still a main candidate, particularly because in season 2 it's looking very heavily like the Voids card play style will be what we're going to be version of the Vengeance that we just haven't been able to play in season 1
cuz you just had the caster version. Now, if you don't know what I'm talking Vengeance is basically you leaping in with Void Blade during Hungering Slashes, leaping out during the hunts, a lot of Reaps because that tier set
really incentivizes Reaps. It has one of the better tier sets out there and I'm because as it stands right now, as of recording this video, I don't know if it, the Vengeance doesn't play the epic sounds at all. And I don't know if
does mean that Collapsing Star is a wet noodle. You might fire it occasionally part of its fantasy and its flavor, so I don't know how they're going to balance that one out. I hope they make Collapsing Star still hit good.
Havoc is also a main candidate. These guys in probably the final version or the next version of this uh video, uh one of them 100% will drop down to an alt. I don't know which one yet because with Havoc, I'm not sold on it. So, what
better tier sets as well, Demon Hunter seems to just be a winner overall, makes your Essence Break take advantage of Cycle of Hatred, which is whenever cooldown up until you get it down to 20 seconds, right? That's for Eye Beam. But
takes it down to 30 seconds, which means it makes almost no difference whatsoever because you will hold Essence Break the same amount of times to match it with you've had before. So, it actually doesn't matter at all. The tier set just
makes Essence Break do more damage. So, unless they they address the cooldown of a limbo for me. If they make Essence Break align with Eye Beam, cuz you want you're just going to hold it, then I'm probably going to drop the Varo down to
alt. We'll see how it plays out. Another class I am super craving to play is Druid. And I don't know if I'm going to start with Balance Druid. I've I've missed playing a Druid. I'm normally a Druid at heart. I just feel like the
bit uh And uh definitely not with Balance Druid. Balance Druid is fun. It's kind of like Unholy. It's maybe a little bit more interesting than Unholy, although it it still has the same thing where it
kind of Balance doesn't try to be fancy or anything like that. I mean, it's a caster and it's very mobile. It's very satisfying to spend Astral Power. I
Balance, cuz it didn't really change much. I'm still waiting to see if New because that has been the most fun version of Balance that I've played uh coming into Midnight. Also the most engaging. Also the most uh sweaty,
because you just have so many buttons that you have to juggle. Uh so, until then Feral, baby. Weird, because also Feral hasn't really changed. They're buffing Chomp and I don't know if that's going
to matter. I feel like Chomp is a little bit of an anti-synergy. It wants you to be low energy to be able to use it, because um maybe initially its design find yourself on low energy, then you can just use Chomp, because you never
want to be low energy. You're kind of pulling energy, right? I mean, your Ferocious Bite have to be casted with like at least 50 energy anyway, even though it costs 25. So, you never really want to be on low energy. And if you're
on low energy, you probably messed up somewhere, right? So, champ feels a also nerfing a little bit frantic frenzy, which I don't know if I necessarily care. I mean, it's a cool ability, but it's just feral frenzy
a little bit boring. However, feral is just so smooth just so smooth to play, man. Having baseline 30% movement speed as a melee DPS is so good. No frontal ever hits me. That is
so satisfying. I cannot I cannot tell you. And I just misdrew it. Um it's it's going to be with feral for now. We'll have potentially healer one at some point. Augmentation, to be fair, I kind of like
Augmentation, to be fair, I kind of like the going into into midnight. I thought its apex sounds were were interesting. It doesn't attract me as much anymore. This is a paradox. I feel like the only reason I would really enjoy playing
augmentation is either if its personal damage was just like sky high and I was just like an earth dragon cracking earthquakes underneath my enemies, or the buff style of it would be really good to just like buff people by a lot.
like, "Oh [ __ ] we have an augmentation, right?" But they're they're actually designs. They're wanting something balanced balanced in between, which I understand. They want to keep it, you know, a little bit more consistent, but
that's just boring for me. Like I neither have personal damage that's really great, and I neither do really insane buffs that just make the party go explode, right? Which we had that. And that made augmentation kind of broken
for two or three seasons in a row. And probably we don't want to go there they can manage these two play styles and make them obviously different and time, I don't know if I can main augmentation outside of the fact that
we talked about the visual style of dracthyrs for way too long. Although I kind of like its play style. Flame shaper seems to maybe make me want to play it as an alt. But I This is the last class I've leveled so far, so it
to how less interested I am in playing uh Devastation. And to be fair, I had a lot of good things to say about it coming change. But, that was mostly because of Flame Shaper in the double Fire Breath
time, and it's still there. But, I still feel like the overall talent design of be really great, it just ends up in very being very passive and not something
that will influence your gameplay almost at all. At least, I haven't been able to here. You can let us know in the comments section down below. comments section down below. Beast Mastery is next. Now,
Beast Mastery is next. Now, I'm about to eat my own foot. Beast Mastery has successfully graduated from hell no. I have been wrong. Although, listen, I In my defense, I'm a dumbass. No, in my
defense, I don't know when they changed the Apex talent to be the Kill Command That that definitely makes Beast Mastery a little bit better. I was never really hoping that Beast Mastery is going to be like this complex, in-depth spec with so
wanted that. Beast Mastery was always supposed to be simple. But, I feel like the initial Midnight version of it just completely put me off entirely, and I And to be fair, in 12.1, that is a little bit better. They're making the
Obviously, that's the Apex talent. But, with the Cobra Shot changes in in your tier set, you get a lot a lot more Nature Ally procs than you would normally get, so you don't need to focus too hard on spending each one. You
Nature Ally procs than you have Kill Command charges. I don't know if that's a gameplay error that I'm making, where I'm not, you know, resetting my Kill did have to do that, then the rotation will actually become more boring,
predictable. It would become a Barbed Shot, Kill Command, Cobra Shot, Kill Cobra Shot, Kill Command type rotation, and the occasional Wild Thrash. Uh uh forth. And then that's just really boring. But, having bloodshed be a
making sure that an AoE you activate more interesting for me. Beast mastery has more depth than red paladin. Can you [ __ ] believe it? I was wrong, I'll admit it.
I told you at the very beginning, I'm the first one to jump on the BM train if is a little bit more interesting, but only as an alt. Speaking of, marksmanship is also on an alt. It's looking interesting with the
explosive shot, but I have a feeling that they're not risky enough with it. of recording this video is that they made explosive shot do more single target damage to your main target and then do kind of the same AoE damage.
Overall, this 50% of its damage in AoE, but it has like double the single target damage. That is actually really cool. If that actually turns into reliable and meaningful priority damage, I love that
and that might actually bump marksmanship into even potentially higher. I want to play hunter as well, very very badly. And marksmanship is they're way too safe, and I still have a bitter taste left in my mouth after
their initial Apex challenge reveal for marksmanship that just got completely neutered and made it to some boring passive [ __ ] that's so boring and passive [ __ ] that's so boring and passive it doesn't really have
survival was very close to being a main, but the the recent announced the time to properly play it enough, I will admit, because that would keep it
as of as of as of now, survival is potentially an alt for me. we had leading into midnight where you played flame fang pitch and boom stick,
and you would rotate with these ends to reduce cool down reduction to reduce the Bombs reduce cooldown on Boomstick and then Boomstick reduce cooldown on reduce cooldown on Wildfire Bomb and you just used Wildfire Bombs to reduce the
constant weaving of dynamic cooldown that's gone that's gone. We don't have Flame Fang Pitch anymore. We just have passive Wildfire Bombs. This is terrible in terms of in terms of gameplay and
fantasy. I understand that Flame Fang Pitch wasn't picked and the devs said are we supposed to god damn pick it if us it doesn't really matter. We're people just going to pick whatever deals
the most damage. Cuz at that point remove like a third of all of the game cuz nobody's ever going to pick them but they just had to attack Flame idea why that just feels very arbitrary at this point and it was an extra bundle
survival had. Maybe that's what it It's very hard not to feel like they really wanted to simplify the specs as much as possible. I understand it. We just going a little bit too hard. We're just just losing buttons every time and
okay it maybe works for some. I just I just don't care too much for it. Granted version of survival. It could just be the bee's knees the the creme de la creme and I will have to test a little bit more until the final version of
to make. So until then it remains an alt. Arcane has been bumped to main status with the Prismatic Bolt changes. Oh my god. Talking about adding more buttons. Well it's not really a new button.
Arcane Blast changes to Prismatic Bolt but the way it interact I feel like this way it interacts with the tier set is just delish. The problem is that I feel like the Prismatic Bolt was added because of what the tier set does where
Arcane Missiles just buff your next Arcane Blast by I don't know however much for each missile hit which of course So, what you want to do is after using every clear casting, you kind of want to
make sure that you spend those buffs on a prismatic bolt. And prismatic bolt, I believe it has Was it a 5% chance per salvo consumed to proc after using like it wasn't 100%, so you wouldn't always get prismatic bolt. But, you
would probably have like after using a clear casting proc with it with high voltage and all of the missile talent, you'd get full overpowered the missiles that is. You'd get full arcane salvo, and spending all that arcane salvo would
you prismatic bolt. You wouldn't always have it, but you would mostly have it. buff of the tier set to just absolutely do 1 million damage per prismatic bolt. That is That is delicious. I would love that in
tier set, I feel like this is just becomes boring again. And then, we're going to probably get another arcane mage rework because why not? Every patch is arcane mage patch. Fire
is also a main candidate. [music] And this is mostly because I'm the kind of person that attaches itself to toxic relationships that I've had in the past. I actively think about all of my No, I don't. But, what I'm thinking about is
that I miss playing fire mage so much. And finally, we have a more interesting candle to arcane, don't you worry. It's mostly my personal attachment to fire mage. We will have to play pyroclasm, and pyroclasm is the only thing fire has
that's just not built to hot streak, spend hot streak, build to hot streak, spend hot streak. That's That's it. That's all it has. And it's also because of the tier set. And once the tier set goes away, we're back to square one.
I feel definitely that fire mage needs a little bit more. Maybe Maybe if if fire mage gets a lot of positive feedback this season with a more the slight more slightly more intricate play style, maybe that will push the devs to juice
it up a little bit more in season 3. But, one can only dream. And because I have mage so high up, Frost is definitely going to be an old contender, but I definitely enjoyed playing Frost as well. I don't know if
main potential. Like if for some reason I end up on Mage, I wouldn't mind I end up on Mage, I wouldn't mind meaning Frost Mage. And that you said interesting with back-to-back Glacial Spikes if you're if you're lucky. That
don't hit hard. And it's not a very exciting button to press. It's the hardest hitting single ability that you have, but that doesn't say much when it's about, I don't know, five times less than your overall shatter damage.
video. I don't know if it's published by the time you're watching this one. If soon, so don't worry. Personally, I like Glacial Spike to hit more. It has to hit more. It's the biggest ability that Frost has, and it and it just doesn't.
When Prismatic Bolt does 1 million and and Glacial Spike does 200,000, it's and Glacial Spike does 200,000, it's it's this is something where I have to come clean. I played close to zero amount of
Windwalker. And maybe I should put it into hell no. But alt status, okay? I have close to no desire of playing anything. I just don't see anything appealing to it. It's the same with Fire
Windwalker because of its mechanics. It lost a lot of it of those mechanics going into into midnight, but it did get a couple of new tools that I just I'm I'm scared that if I end up playing Windwalker, I will end up liking it a
had I associate Windwalker with disappointment, unfortunately. But it another test until the next video, and I might have some final conclusions. It's very it's it's a very steep composition to get it into the main, but maybe I
to get it into the main, but maybe I won't dislike it as much. Ret Paladin started 2 weeks ago as a potential main, and now it's a potential This is why it's very hard to do these during the course of the PTR because it
started with one of the best four-set tier bonuses out of all of the specs where you had actual decision-making power and skill expression your decision, but as I predicted in our red
uh they took that away completely. And now you just now it just happens. It's You don't even need to think about it. You don't even need to respond to it. You just play normally and it just does its thing. I so despise this style of
class design. This feels worse than mobile games. This is what I mean by a personal thing, okay? You don't have to agree, that's perfectly fine. You can fun and flashy spec. I just cannot see myself meaning it, and [music] that's
why. Now, shadow priest is if there was a main plus, maybe that would have been shadow priest. Shadow priest is the closest that I have right now to having a potential main in season two.
It recently uh changed its uh four-set proc, so tentacle slam doesn't give you a free vampiric touch to launch uh shadowy apparitions that explode for double damage. Instead now it gives uh tentacle slam a chance to give you a
void volley charge that does more damage. Uh void volley is really fun. I like shadowy apparitions more than void volley to be fair, and I feel like the lifting to pushing shadowy apparitions builds out there. And if with the new
tier set uh we don't play shadowy apparitions, shadow might actually drop does, then it might remain there. They did do a lot of balance to bring in uh void weaver closer to arcan, and if shadow ends up uh having competitive
and I can play shadowy apparitions, I think it's a 100% main. Nothing else nothing else can come close. It is the best DPS spec in midnight in terms of fun, and it has the best tier set in midnight in terms of fun so far. I still
need to test it a little bit more, but we'll see how that plays out. Assassination is on alt. Actually, assassination is very close to becoming as the opposite with midnight. I don't know what they're doing with
Ugh, I cannot care for the new talent it adds any uh engaging in venom gameplay with uh you know, lowering the window of in venom, but just buffing it. I feel like the buff and whisper, one of
the theory crafters for um for assassination. I said this as well. The the buff is just enough for you not to feel bad, but if the buff was bigger, to kind of play around with in venom times, dropping in venom, bringing back
and so on. And I think they've addressed the apex talents where energy pooling doesn't matter anymore. So, once again, we go into the thing where any decision gameplay is not rewarding you anymore. So, you just play normally no matter
what. And it feels like assassination is edging closer and closer to that style of design. So, for me, it dropped. But, what raised?
potential main that I have right now. Oh my god. I've been playing Outlaw as it was severely under tuned, and it's probably right now the most complex and difficult spec to play correctly in in World of
Warcraft, and I am a fan of that. I've been a fan of that for a very long time, the only one that's uh that's able to do it. And the devs are definitely pushing opportunity talents, which are my favorite Outlaw, which is ironically the
simpler version of Outlaw to play, but similar to Shadow Priest. If I have the option to play both ambush builds and both preparation builds, I would absolutely love this. I would actually have probably two mains, cuz I don't
Priest in that way. But, that's the Outlaw that I'm kind of hoping we get, tuning, again, as of recording this video. Subtlety has It's Subtlety is also very close to assassination to dropping into
hell. Now, they did rework Goremaw's Bite. I've played a little bit and that gives me a little bit of hope. I haven't played enough to see how how deep the optimization of Goremaw's Bite goes because you want to use it to empower as
many finishers as possible to deal that extra shadow damage. The fact that you know what it was called the rotten what damage just leads me to believe that the damage just again was so inconsequential
that it doesn't synergize with shadow damage procs for subtlety. So, subtlety seems to have at some point in time some shadow damage focused builds where you just focus on turning your finishers into dealing more and more shadow damage
or playing other style of builds with probably more builder damage in Shadow necessarily the duality, but it was an interesting duality that could have been a thing. And if we play the shadow damage, but without shadow synergy just
it once again it doesn't even matter what talents you pick. Synergy is not a thing. It's just whatever maths out as most damage we just do that. So, I feel established with subtlety for me to actually main it.
I have to sadly say that I have close to no desire to play elemental as it stands. [music] Um I recognize it's it's decently fun.
Again, this is like a like a 180 from what I saw elemental at the beginning of midnight. The more I play elemental, the more I realize what has been lost and everything just being passive and working passive in the background. I
just I just can't. I I feel like I'm just really pushing back against this this design more so than I thought initially and maybe this is the uh the result of playing this version of WoW for the past six or so months. Elemental
has just dropped as used to be one of my all-time de facto uh caster spec to Um it's now probably one of my least favorites. Enhancement is very close to being a main. It's one of the Dude, there's so
going to be such a long ride and it's only a couple of weeks until the season problem right now. Um it's not close to to Shadow and Outlaw, of course, and I feel like uh everything from Frost Death Knight is
very close to dropping down into alt with only Outlaw and Shadow being there, but I've played the Frost to in to Enhancement on the specs so far and Enhancement in particular very little so far where it it it got me really
excited, but I haven't had the time to play them more to kind of see if I fan of Shaman for a very long time and I want to play Shaman as well. And let's say, than Feral, for instance, right? We're going to keep Enhancement a
little bit further in. Probably better even than uh than Frost Death Knight, if I'm going to be completely honest here. Definitely better than Fire Mage in debatable whether it's uh ahead or below Arcane,
this point. Affliction has had a hit to its um Seed of Corruption spread. I feel like right now it can only be an alt. ironically, is the talent that I've praised in the beta for Midnight that
back as a tier set. Funny how that works. Where um Seed of Corruption just puts uh unstable Affliction out. That's not the talent. The talent was that unstable Affliction gives you a spell power boost
per unstable Affliction you have out and you can have multiple on the same target until I think it's like 6% spell power or something like that. What changed with with Affliction and what worries me and why it's not a main
uh Seed of Corruption to have any priority [music] damage. Now, I can agree that Seed of Corruption doesn't have to have priority damage. It's uh its identity is just pure AoE blast, but affliction doesn't have priority damage
almost at all right now because there's no incentive in you manually using unstable affliction in AoE for more priority damage. It's just not rewarding And the fact that they don't want priority damage to exist, period, as as
worrisome. And the fact that they haven't addressed affliction's major issues with its talent design where you cannot path into having competitive uh have pure AoE or pure single target and nothing in between is just a big problem
that uh will not change until affliction is reworked. Demonology has been my second main in season 1 cuz I had one for raid and one for dungeons, and I've so so so enjoyed it uh very much this season.
Unfortunately, it has one of the worst tier sets in the game. It's the epitome of just give me flat 10% 15% damage increase and it's the exact same. It's It works passive. Your imps implode on
their own and it spawns big imps and they implode on their and it's It just they implode on their and it's It just plays itself. It's just You log in into target, and then the tier set just works on the background. You don't even need
to think about it. You just do your own thing. I, again, don't like that and just because of that it it I cannot see myself maining it unless it just becomes meta and [music] my friends want me to play it, but uh
Destruction has definitely been a big disappointment for me uh testing it in the tier set, it has uh probably an even worse tier set than uh than demonology. Again, it just works on its own in the background. It doesn't even matter. As
will, but you don't want to press incinerate any more than than before, it destruction as a whole design is just one of the most boring specs in the game. All of its cast times are incredibly boring and uninteresting. Uh
spec that I've mained in the past [music] and that has just been completely neutered uh as it stands. Arms is going to be an alt as well. Tier
set is not particularly interesting, although I do want some spice and change in maybe making slam an interesting ability, but I don't see that happening uh as it stands right now. They have been buffing executes. Um
know if it was for arms, and I do miss execute being a being a big thing. And I have seen arms warriors do really great. I miss the execute weave of of my favorite arms to play ever, and that was back in Dragonfly. And we
haven't had that since. Um I do like the concept of spamming really don't like it. I feel like that's just very arms-like, and I've enjoyed case. I mean, you're still going to be using cleave. It's not It's not like
it's going to go away. But uh it's just it's just a slightly less interesting than season 1, but I probably have to test it a little bit more. And lastly, fury was one of the closest ones to becoming a main. I have to put
of becoming a main, and I don't know if it really matters which part of the alt spectrum it is in unless it gets an interesting buff. So far, the tier set of the tier set where you can extend your recklessness and also give it more
crit chance by using uh bloodthirst and raging blow or bloodbath and crushing blow. They have shortened the gap between the two abilities cuz you would or crushing blow, and I think they still need to tune that even better cuz raging
the problem with fury is it just doesn't have a lot of talent diversity as far as diversity. The only interesting thing that you do differently is that you actively want to extend your recklessness. So despite bloodthirst
you probably never pressing crushing blow otherwise, you will want to press to extend uh recklessness by its maximum one. I total of 15 seconds, something like that.
And then you just probably ignore crushing blow the rest of the duration, particularly enjoy in a spec. But this is how it is as of recording this video. Of course, things will change as I will get to play more and more of these in
the coming weeks after I come back from uh from the vacay, by the way. And until then, you need to check our Shadow Priest video to understand why Shadow has the main materials that every spec should emulate and copy ideally. Just
copy-paste. Just copy-paste into destruction. Shadow is the best.
