## Summary

A successful Twitch streamer shares the key pillars to growing a channel from scratch, emphasizing that communication and attitude matter far more than gameplay skill or production quality. The video breaks down why most aspiring streamers fail and how to stand out.

### Key Points

- **Communication is Key** [02:01] — Success depends on how you communicate, not what you play or how skilled you are. People watch for entertainment, not gameplay.
- **Attitude is Everything** [03:43] — A winning attitude, even when things go wrong, is crucial. Laugh at yourself and keep energy high.
- **Show Personality** [04:10] — You must be energetic and engaging, not chill or passive. The game matters less than your personality.
- **Stream as a Hobby, Not a Job** [05:05] — Only 0.01% succeed. Treat streaming as a passion, not a path to profit, to maintain authenticity.
- **Don't Obsess Over Production** [06:26] — Frames, panels, and overlays are secondary. Focus on your ability to entertain, not visual polish.
- **Learn from Top Streamers** [07:10] — Watch successful streamers like El Cangrejo, Rebe, Jao, Santomé, Destri. Observe how they constantly talk and narrate.
- **Camera is Essential** [08:50] — A camera is mandatory for modern streaming. Non-verbal communication adds value.
- **Value = Knowledge + Skill × Attitude** [10:10] — Content value is knowledge plus skill, multiplied by attitude. Attitude is the most important factor.
- **Quality Over Quantity** [13:29] — Stream fewer hours with high energy. Streaming too long kills passion and quality.
- **Discipline and Community Management** [15:53] — Punish bad behavior in chat even if you lose viewers. Maintain a positive community.

### Conclusion

To grow as a streamer, prioritize communication, attitude, and passion over production quality or hours streamed. Treat streaming as a hobby and give it your all every session.

## Transcript

this video helps clear up some of the questions you've been asking me in my streams. You mostly ask me privately during the streams, but many of you also comment on YouTube and
obviously, since I'm a Twitch streamer. So people ask me on Twitch and Twitter about Twitch and what I consider important to be a good streamer, what's needed to
things go well for you. Well, over the past year, my stream has grown tremendously. I've gone from being a nobody to a streamer with an average of 400-500 viewers in a year, to having an average of
700-800 subscribers and around 15,000 followers on Twitch. And I've also created a YouTube channel... I upload videos from time to time and re-upload my streams because that's what I do, right? And many of you ask me how I managed to
year starting from scratch. What have you done? I mean, because I put in so many hours, I put in so much time, and I'm not growing, I'm not growing, people aren't staying on my stream. Why? What do I
bit complex, not easy to define. I'm going to talk about a series of pillars, ending with the final and most important one, which I'll talk about at the end. It's a reflection on something I read online, which is
very true, which is what I've been saying all year: about what it means to create content, at least for me, and for what I see as a viewer, because remember that besides being a streamer, I'm also a viewer. And the
content I watch is the one that has a certain affinity with me. So, where does the key lie? For me, the key lies in
communication. What does communication mean? Communication means being there communication mean? Communication means being there for you, not in what you play, not in what you... It's not what you know that matters, it's how you
you know that matters, it's how you say it, it's how you act, how you say it, it's how you act, how you game or how skilled you are, unless you're a world-class player,
nobody will watch you for your gameplay because nobody cares about your gameplay. People care about you because a stream is entertainment. People are looking to be entertained and
learn, but above all, to be entertained. If they learn but aren't entertained, it's not enough. On the other hand, if they are entertained, to the stream because the important thing is knowing how to communicate, how to
entertain. What does this mean? It means you have to be constantly talking, constantly
moving because you have to be talking all the time. You have to be at full throttle on the
surrounding communication that make you a better or worse communicator, but most of them are trainable, and almost everything depends on
and almost everything depends on attitude. Attitude means that through thick and thin, you always give it your all. Go all out, you have to have a winning attitude because people like
winners. That means even if things go wrong, you have to learn to laugh at yourself and learn to overcome streams. That's the most important thing. You
show your personality; you can't be here like you've smoked four joints playing a game of League of Legends because nobody cares about that, you understand? You can't be here all chill, like, "Oh yeah, I'm going to win," or "I'm going to do this," or playing WoW, or
whatever game it is. The game isn't relevant, as long as it's a game that's actually watched, as long as it's in the top 20 games, that's enough. Obviously, if you want to grow, don't play very small games.
Soda Popping can do that, but not you. At the beginning, you shouldn't do that. If you want to grow, and you want to do well and maybe one day dedicate yourself to this, you have to play a game that's more or less watched, but above all,
have good communication. Don't see this as a job, don't see this as something that's going to make you profitable. See it as something you enjoy, a hobby, a way to spend your
time, something you put a lot of effort into because your ultimate goal is perhaps to be able to dedicate yourself to it. Remember, only Remember, only 0.01% of the people who try to
dedicate themselves to streaming actually succeed. So it's very but if you do, it certainly won't be because you're thinking, "I want to dedicate myself to this, I want to achieve it, I want this." It's not about
wanting to do it well, wanting people to be entertained in the streams, wanting people to have a good time in the streams, regardless of the gameplay level. What matters is your communication skills. Okay,
many of you have asked me, "This video isn't because that damn Chocas guy has delusions of grandeur, this kid's an idiot." Well, I think I'm in this now, and it's something you ask me a
lot. Every time you ask, I'll post this video, which might clarify most of your doubts. doubts. Communication is something many
people worry about. Too much for adding a little frame, for adding a [unclear], for improving a little frame, for adding a [unclear], for improving the [unclear], the emoticon or emoticons, for improving the panels below Twitch, for improving the [unclear]... no, no, no, that's
secondary, that's something that will come later. Don't think that you're going to grow because of that. I clean design, hiring a designer two or three months ago because it's not relevant, it's not relevant. What's relevant is you, what's relevant is your ability
to entertain people, not the frame, not the panels, not your description of what you are. Do n't change it. Put what you are in four
lines, that's it, there's nothing else necessary. Don't think about other things, focus on watching the best, watching people like El Cangrejo, watching people like Rebe, like Jao, like a lot. There are many
good streamers, Santomé, many good streamers, Destri, there are many. streamers, Destri, there are many. Focus on seeing how they do it, see Focus on seeing how they do it, see what the key is. That's where you're going to
constantly, who are always talking, narrating the game. It doesn't matter how good they are, it doesn't matter, the important thing is to
truth is that money is irrelevant. Even though Twitch currently gives me money, a lot of money, I still do it out of passion. I'm still working. I've been working all year at Real Madrid, and when I get off
work, I come and stream for 4 hours. I work 14 hours a day. I've been doing this all year. Why? Because I still don't see it as a job. I see it as my passion, my hobby, something I love to do. I enjoy
doing it, and I put a lot of passion, effort, and enthusiasm into it every day after work. That's how you grow. I don't want to make a video that's too long; it's not really that
difficult. The thing is, you can't take it lightly. If your goal take it lightly. If your goal really wanting to grow, if you simply do it because you have fun and because you
like it, fantastic. But if your goal is to grow, improve your communication. Talk all grow, improve your communication. Talk all the time, try to have a wide vocabulary, try to convey things with non- verbal communication, gestures, etc.
Having a camera is essential; you can't stream without one. We're not in 2008, please. It's not that hard to try to add some A lot of enthusiasm, a lot of passion that shines through. Remember, a streamer lives off
charity, lives off people wanting to be part of their community and wanting to contribute. Nothing more, nothing less. If people do n't subscribe, if people don't donate, if people don't spend bits, you don't make a living from
good enough and have a personality have a personality to attract viewers. You have to be to attract viewers. You have to be strong, and it's not about talent. Talent is very
little; what's really important is the drive. I'm not going to teach you now, since I 'm already talking about this topic. The pillar on which all
this rests, for me, lies in this: a person who streams, a person who generally plays a game, when they
stream—obviously, people generally don't chat anymore, they play a game—has to stream something that has something that has value. When something has value, it attracts
people. Value, as they say in English. What is value? Well,
knowledge plus knowledge plus skill. That is, for your creation, in this case, the creation of content, to have value, what you need
value, what you need is to know what you're talking about, to have certain knowledge about the game. Or about the topic you're discussing, if you don't know, do Or about the topic you're discussing, if you don't know, do
And also, having a certain level of skill. These are two factors that accompany content creation. If you, for example, are a teacher and know a lot about
teacher and know a lot about teaching, at
communicating, you'll have a value of 100 out of 100 in knowledge. If you're excellent, but you're going to add 20 in skill because you're not good at communicating, therefore the result will
be 120. You're very far from 200 because no matter how much you know, if you 200 because no matter how much you know, if you 're not able to transmit it, it's worthless. But to this, we have to add something else. This equation
is incorrect, it's wrong, because what are we wrong, because what are we talking about? Attitude. Where is talking about? Attitude. Where is attitude? Attitude is here, and it's a multiplier.
multiplier. If you put attitude into it, if you put your heart into it, you're positive, you're full of energy in the streams, that's a multiplier. You increase the value of what you do. Imagine, you don't know much about the game,
do. Imagine, you don't know much about the game, you have 30 in knowledge of the You're more or less good at the game, 40%. I'm not that great at it, but you put a lot of effort into it, damn, you put a lot of passion into it, you're all in on the damn
passion into it, you're all in on the damn streams. You're a [ __ ] 50 here. What's the result of this? Much more than the 120 before, much more. Why? Because attitude multiplies everything you
do. Attitude is everything, it's everything. 99% attitude, 1% talent. Attitude is a multiplier. If you know a lot about a
game or are good at playing a game, it helps. But what helps the most is having a good attitude, being all in. Don't stream for 8000 hours, don't be an idiot. It's not about
streaming more hours, it's about the hours you stream, the hours you stream, stream with fire. I streamed 30 hours a day and look at my
growth. 30 people subscribe paying money every day in 4 hours of streaming or less because people want to support me, they want me to keep creating content, they want to
keep being part of my community, they want me to keep creating entertainment because I try to put in all the effort I can. After getting home from work, I try to leave all the Damn, if I stream for 12 damn hours, I can't
put any meat on the grill because it's rotten along the way. I ca n't have fresh content. How are you going to create fresh content if I stream for 12 damn hours a day? That's not good, it's counterproductive. You lose steam, you lose motivation, you lose
counterproductive. You lose steam, you lose motivation, you lose passion, you lose attitude. passion, you lose attitude. Quality is always better than quantity. Do Quality is always better than quantity. Do
hours you're going to grow more. It's better to stream less and stream with a lot of enthusiasm, try to be at your best all the time, communicating, talking for better or for worse. When something goes well, when something goes wrong, it's irrelevant.
when something goes wrong, it's irrelevant. The important thing is to be at your best, okay? There isn't much, I mean, there's no other way. In my opinion, there's no other way, I mean, for me, that's the key to being a good streamer, guys. I'm
speaking to you as someone who may have been of the year, having started from scratch on Twitch Spain. I'm speaking to you from the point of view of someone who has given their all.
Damn, life after coming home from work every day and still growing like this. I every day and still growing like this. I as a job, don't see it that way. I want to live like they do, damn it! I want to
living room like Rebe. Rebe has been creating content for a long time. Rebe is very good at what he does. Maybe that day will come for you, but until then, attitude, desire, passion, of course, effort, of course, discipline, of
course, skills, but communication, talk all the time. Strive to make a good gameplay narration. Strive to communicate, have good feedback with the community,
punish those who have bad behavior in your chat. Even if you lose viewers, punish them for bad behavior in your
chat. That's my opinion, that's what I see as lacking. Attitude is what you need if you want to grow. That's lacking. Attitude is what you need if you want to grow. That's fulfilling a dream. So I hope that many of you have found it
useful and that it has encouraged you to continue creating content. It's a fantastic world. I've met a lot of great people and it has really been for me. 2018 has been the best year of my life, and I encourage all of you who
want to try it to do so, but with enthusiasm and a positive attitude. Cheers guys, thanks for watching the video, see you later guys, bye!
