[00:02] something that can happen at any time and it is very scary especially if you or you are making money from your Facebook pages or if you have a lot of followers on that account. A friend of mine lost her Facebook account. She [00:18] mine lost her Facebook account. She owned multiple pages on that account and some of those pages were used for business. So when she lost the account, she was very sad. So I offered to help her out. I did some research on [00:32] her out. I did some research on Facebook, YouTube and Google and I found a lot of solutions. So if you can't access your Facebook account anymore, maybe your account was hacked or you lost your phone or you no longer have [00:46] access to your phone number or email address that you used to open that account. In this video, I will show you proven methods that people use to recover their account and trust me, the process is easier than you think. [01:01] Welcome to GJ Ends. The first thing you need to do is to not try to log in on the normal Facebook app. [01:46] I'm talking about both normal Facebook app and Facebook Lite because the solution will be done on the Facebook website instead. So close your Facebook app, then go to one of your browsers. Anyone will work. [02:02] As for me, I'm using Google Chrome. Just long press on the app, then click app info. This is where you can configure the app. Click on permissions, then turn on the camera option. Also, turn on the storage permission, and [02:19] lastly, turn on the location option. After that, go back and open the browser app normally. Click on the search box and search for Facebook Help Center. Then, click on the first option. This is [02:34] where you can learn about recovering Facebook accounts. When you arrive here, just scroll down a little. You will see some options you can choose from. Click on the login and password option. Now, everything you need is on this [02:49] page. Just scroll down again. On this section, you will see recover a hacked account, recover an account, and confirm your identity. Click on recover an account option. But, if you don't see the option here, you [03:04] can click the search option and search recover an account. You will see it there. And on this page, you will see a lot of options again. The one you need is this one that says recover your Facebook [03:18] account if you can't access your account email address or phone number. This option is best if you have lost your phone and can't access your email and phone number. Or maybe you currently don't have access [03:32] to the SIM card or email that you used to set up the account. Even if someone hacked your Facebook account, this option can help you recover the account. Click it. When you do, new information [03:45] will open up. Scroll down a little. You will see two clickable links. The first one says "Reset your password." And the second one is a link to second one is a link to facebook.com/hacked. [04:00] or email address that was used on your account, then the first option will work. But if your account was hacked or you lost your phone or can't access your phone number or email, then the second option is best. [04:15] Let's first begin with the first option. Just click the link. Then you will be taken to this page. Scroll down a little, then click this other link. On this page, you will see two links. [04:30] Ignore the first one. Scroll down a little and click the password." Please make sure you follow along carefully because of the many pages we [04:42] have visited, you can easily get confused. So, if you are taking action while watching, make sure you follow along carefully. And you can always take the video back a little to be sure you are [04:56] taking the exact steps. After clicking that link, you will be taken to where you will be asked to search for your Facebook account using phone number or email. Just paste your phone number here. Make [05:09] sure it is the number that was linked to your Facebook account. And if your account was created using email, then click here to search using email instead. In the search by email option, you can also search by your [05:23] Just enter your Facebook full name and click search. After that, you will see a bunch of Facebook accounts that uses the same name as you. Look for your own account here. [05:35] Sometimes you will not find your account. Maybe the hacker have changed the name and the profile picture, but sometimes Facebook can limit the results, which means your accounts may not appear here. Most times the accounts [05:49] not appear here. Most times the accounts that appear on the top are old accounts. So, if your Facebook account is new, it may not appear on the top. In that case, click these three dots, scroll down and click desktop site to enable it. [06:05] On the desktop view, scroll down to the bottom, you will see this button that bottom, you will see this button that says I'm not on this list. Click it. On this page, you can search with the name of one of your Facebook friends. So, if [06:18] you have a friend on that account that you remember, you can search their name. Let's hope their own accounts have not been hacked or restricted. Just click here and enter their name and click search. [06:32] What Facebook will do is they will use both the name you searched earlier and then the name of your Facebook friend to look for your account. After that, you should see your account in the list. If you do, click it. [06:46] Facebook will send a code to your WhatsApp chat. All you need now is to copy the code in WhatsApp and paste it here to recover your account. This is possible if you have already linked your WhatsApp account to your [07:00] Facebook. But, if you have not, then click try another way. You will see other options that you can use to recover your account. But, what if you don't have access to your email and phone number? [07:13] Or your account was hacked or you lost your phone. Then we can use the second option. Just go to Facebook Help Center again. Click the login and password Then click on the link that says facebook.com/hacked. [07:32] can begin with the first step to getting back your hacked account. This is going to be a lot easier and straightforward if you are using the phone that you normally log in to your Facebook account with. But, don't worry. [07:46] Even if your phone was stolen, you can still recover your account. Now, click this option and enable this option again. After that, you will see this section. Just click next to begin the main [08:00] process of getting back your hacked Facebook account. Here, you can search for your account again using phone number, email address, or your full name. Just enter it here and click search. You will see some [08:14] accounts here. If you find your account, then click it. You arrive on this page that says, "Complete the security step to recover the account." Because Facebook needs to be sure that [08:28] you are the real owner of the account. Just click recover. On this page, you will choose how you want to recover your account. This option says, "Take a video selfie." This option will ask you to make a short selfie video of yourself. [08:45] If you are helping someone else, like your friend or family member, then they will need to record themselves. Just make sure the area is bright enough errors. After that, they will ask you to enter a [09:02] new email address that you want to use for your account. If you prefer to use number option. The best thing to do here is to use your old email address. Not the one that was once linked to the account, but at least [09:18] an old email. If you use a brand new email, then it And if you don't have access to an old email, you can always choose the phone email, you can always choose the phone number option. When I say a new email, [09:32] I'm talking about an email that was created just 2 days ago or something that was created a few minutes or hours ago. Even a 2-weeks-old email will work as long as the email is active. After entering your email address, click [09:48] continue. Facebook will send a verification code to your email address. All you need now is to copy the code and submit it and successfully. If you don't receive a code, check and [10:03] make sure you entered the correct email address. Then click get a new code and they will send you the code again. After that, you will be taken to this page. As you can see, it says confirm your identity with a video selfie. Facebook [10:19] just wants to compare your identity with the one that was used on the Facebook account before. Some people don't like uploading their photos on Facebook. If you don't have your own photos on Facebook, then this may be a little bit [10:34] complicated. That is why it is advisable to have at least one or two of your own photos on your Facebook account. But if you only upload your cat photos But if you only upload your cat photos or photos of places, art, and so on, and [10:49] your own photos are not on the account, then recovering the account will be more complicated. Though it may work, but having your own photos on Facebook account would be better. [11:01] Just scroll down and click use face recognition technology. On this page, click start selfie. Your camera will open and your face will be seen in the middle of this cycle. Just follow the simple instructions Facebook [11:16] give you. They will tell you to move your head, maybe blink, smile, or nod. All those things are just to confirm that you are the owner of your account. Again, if you are helping a friend, you need to to with them and direct them. [11:32] Or you can just share this video tutorial with them. In a few seconds, the process will be completed. After that, on the bottom center of your that, on the bottom center of your screen, click submit. The selfie will be [11:45] submitted to Facebook and they will review it. On this page, click finish to finalize the whole process. The verification process normally takes 24 to 48 hours. And if your account was recovered, they will send you an email [12:00] earlier. In the email, they will ask you to create a new password for your recovered Facebook account. Make sure you are entering a very strong password that contains at least a capital letter, [12:15] small letter, a number, and also special character. Simple passwords like your name, date of birth, your favorite thing, and all those are not advisable. Also, after getting back your account, make sure you avoid clicking on links [12:31] you don't understand. Avoid entering your Facebook password on strange websites. If you are logging in on a browser, make sure you are on the official Facebook website with the HTTPS option enabled. Because hackers [12:48] can use phishing to send you to a website that looks like Facebook. And once you enter your details, they can take your account.
