[00:15] The first reward you get after going through Onimusha are a couple of silly costumes. The first one is an Onimusha staple, the Panda costume, along with a Panda sword and Bamboo Scabbard. Samunosuke could unlock his own Panda costume in Onimusha Warlords, and in Way of the Sword,
[00:29] Musashi can do the same simply by beating the game once. You'll also unlock the Wataru-kun costume, which is a real-life mascot of Arashiyama's retail district, complete with a literal bridge on its back meant to welcome customers in.
[00:42] The big thing that unlocks after your first playthrough is Carnage difficulty, which essentially doubles as both a hard mode and a new game plus. You're able to carry over your Oni armaments, the Awakening meter, all of the skills you
[00:55] purchase on the skill tree, your charms and charm enhancements, any of the outfits and cosmetics you've unlocked, and any of the collectibles you found over the course of your first playthrough. What doesn't carry over, however, are your gear upgrades, so you'll be starting the
[01:08] new playthrough fresh in terms of your health, Oni Armament Gauge, and damage stats. As you would imagine this also means you don carry over your upgrade materials red souls nor the selection of items available in the shop You also don have the Oni Bow unlocked from the start either and will need to pick that up again through natural progression As for Carnage difficulty
[01:28] itself, the main difference is that enemies hit a lot harder, and certain bosses gain new moves. For example, Ganryu now has his Oni Send that he'll occasionally use to counter your attacks. Standard enemies are more likely to parry and counterattack as well, so you'll need to have
[01:43] your deflects and defensive techniques on point even in standard enemy fights. Why yes! You can reload your save to the point right before the final boss battle and finish up any extra side quests or collectible hunting that you still want to do before you make the
[01:57] jump to Carnage mode. There are a number of unlockables tied behind Carnage mode, including a new sword skin, another Haori coat, and another outfit, all of which are
