# Demon Slayer Trilogy Breakdown and Prediction! (SPOILERS)

> Source: [Demon Slayer Trilogy Breakdown and Prediction! (SPOILERS)](https://youtube.com/watch?v=X60_G8kIYGg)

## Summary

The video analyzes the upcoming Demon Slayer trilogy, predicting how the final arc will be split across three movies. The creator discusses which fights will be in each movie, the need for anime-original content, and the potential runtime and release schedule.

### Key Points

- **Trilogy Prediction Introduction** [0:00] — The creator predicts how the Infinity Castle arc will be split into three movies, noting that the first two-thirds lack a clear middle point.
- **Anime-Original Content** [1:30] — Expects significant anime-original content to expand fights and clarify story points, similar to the Hashira Training arc.
- **Movie Structure Strategy** [2:49] — Each movie should have one major and one minor fight to avoid overshadowing, with updates on other characters.
- **Movie 1 Fights** [3:26] — Zenitsu's fight (minor) and Upper Moon 3 (Akaza) fight (major) will be in the first movie. Shinobu's encounter with Upper Moon 2 will be moved to the end as a cliffhanger.
- **Movie 2 Fights** [7:10] — Upper Moon 2 and Upper Moon 1 fights, with Tanjiro and Nezuko absent. The movie will be a bloodbath with major character deaths.
- **Movie 3 Fights** [9:38] — Muzan reappears; Upper Moon 4 fight as an opening scene, then the final battle against Muzan and the sunrise arc. Expects the most anime-original content, especially for the epilogue.
- **Runtime Predictions** [12:34] — Movie 1: ~2 hours, Movie 2: ~1 hour 40 minutes, Movie 3: ~2 hours 20 minutes.
- **Release Schedule** [16:46] — Predicts Movie 1 in February 2025, Movie 2 in October 2025, Movie 3 in April 2026, with 6-8 month gaps to maintain audience interest.

### Conclusion

The creator believes the trilogy structure works best with specific fight placements and anime-original content to enhance the story, and predicts a rapid release schedule to keep the audience engaged.

## Transcript

so Demon Slayer season 4 or the hash
training Arc is over we know where it
ends I was exactly right in my
prediction that I made a few days ago
exactly what chapter it would end
exactly the scene it would end and now
I'm going to try to predict how they're
going to split the movies apart so
spoiler warning I'm going to spoil not
exactly everything I'm going to spoil
some like what fights are going to take
place what the order of those fights may
be and just some general details like
that uh if you want to go in completely
blind to these movies then uh fair
warning I will be giving up a few
details but if you already know the
story and you just want to kind of enter
this discussion on what chapters will be
covered in which movies out of the three
Trilogy that we know we're getting now
uh then this videoos for you so I have
mentioned before that I think the idea
of a Trilogy is fine and I think it
works except for there's one big problem
and that is that the first like
two-thirds of this story really have no
Middle Point there's a kind of further
into the story point you could do but
that would leave the second movie being
very short so today what I'm going to
try to do is I'm going to take all the
fights that are in this
final Saga here and then I'm going to
split them up and to put them into each
movie that will make the story make
sense cinematically make sense and I
think we'll just make the best story and
the best
thematic experience that we can possibly
get now obviously uh one big thing is
that we're going to probably get anime
original stuff we have already uh some
of the stuff at the end of the hashira
training Arc is original uh the stuff to
where it basically sucked in all of the
other uh demon Slayers that really
wasn't in the manga we knew it happened
but it wasn't there especially to the
extent that it was uh we get kind of
this few panels but that's it with this
we got multiple minutes of seeing this
uh same thing with muan arriving at the
ubay yashi Mansion we got multiple
minutes of him getting there we got some
extra bits there like I said in my one
video the explosion that was one panel
in the manga is a whole sequence and I
think we're going to get more like that
as the story progresses we're going to
go from what was one chapter will now be
maybe 10 minutes of screen time and I
think that's warranted and I think some
fights are going to be much longer much
more drawn out and not in a bad way I
think they're going to be put more you
know effort into them and I think
they're going to be made even better for
the TV or now theater experience so
let's start off with movie one now to me
to make the movies the most enjoyable
all the way through we need to have one
big fight and we need to have one minor
fight uh if we have two big fights in
one movie I think they're going to
overshadow one another we need to have
one that kind of is a background fight
and one that is a major fight and I
think also we're going to add in in each
movie we're going to kind of give a
update as to what our other characters
are doing now can't do that on all of
them we'll get to that but I think for
Simplicity sake that makes the most
sense until we get to that third movie
that third movie Just changes everything
so let's start off with talking about
what fights I think will be covered in
the first two movies movies so the first
one of those is zenitsu's fight uh
zenitsu encounters someone from his past
and uh we find out more about why he is
the way he is right now those the
discovery he found out in the letter we
discover all of that so the fight with
him is a major point in his character
Arc it is pretty much the final Arc of
him and uh we I think that will be in
the first movie I think that's going to
be the minor fight of the first movie
and I think it will be a very important
scene and I think this is the fight that
can be the most added on to I think we
can get a lot of interesting stuff in
this fight uh it's probably the shortest
fight out of the entire uh
manga Infinity Arc Infinity Castle Arc
but I think this one we can kind of make
it a little longer because we're going
to cut between this fight and the next
fight which I had to debate do I want
there's there's the upper Moon two and
then there's the upper Moon three which
is aaza
do I want to put the upper Moon 3 in the
first movie or put the upper Moon 2 in
the first movie I think the better idea
is to put the upper Moon 3 aaza in the
first movie and by doing that we're
going to move everything from the upper
Moon 2 fight to the second movie that
means we're going to have to rearrange
some of the chapters because uh shobu
encounters the upper Moon 2 very early
on is before pretty much anything it is
like two chapters into where we are now
we are currently at chapter 140 uh the
upper Moon 2 fight starts at like
chapter 142 so it would be immediately
the upper Moon 2 fight and I don't think
that really works because the upper Moon
2 fight actually goes on for quite a
while until chapter 164 and I don't
think we can put 24 chapters into one
movie and I think it's it's obvious the
zenitsu fight is going to have happened
in the first movie that's just it it
makes the most sense so we're going to
have to put that there so there's no way
we can put the upper Moon 2 and the
upper Moon 3 in the same movie so by
doing that I think upper Moon 3 works
much better in that first movie we get
arono and guu fight in that movie and
then we get the uh Kane or cono and U an
oske fight with the upper Moon 2 in the
second movie I think that just works you
know much better I think then we can
maybe this shobu stuff is the final
scene of the first movie I think that
would be a great like Cliffhanger and
this is where I think we're going to
have the biggest change from the manga
to the anime and that we're going to
have to rearrange stuff we're going to
have to add some scenes so that we can
we got a cliffhanger from the higher
training Arc into the movies now we're
going to have to have another point to
where it's like hey guys we're not done
this was just the first movie time for
the next movie and I think this is where
we're going to end the first movie with
uh we're going to move the scenes with
shinobu meeting the upper Moon 2 we're
going to move them from the beginning of
this Arc we're going to move it to the
end of the first movie and shinobu will
walk in she'll have her things and
spoiler here shinobu is going to be
killed in the end of the first movie and
then I think we will have uh cono come
in and she will be able she will begin
her fight at the end of the first movie
leading us into the second movie so then
we get to the second movie and this is
the most interesting part of the story
because pretty much this second movie is
not going to have Tano in it at all and
I think that's a very interesting thing
because pretty much Tano is our main
character Tano has been our it's your
bread and butter when you think of
demons say you're thinking of Tano or
you're thinking of nezo neither one of
them are going to be in this movie
pretty much at all because they just
aren't in these two fights so what we're
going to do second movie We're going to
have the upper Moon 2 and the upper Moon
one and we're going to have to split it
up a little bit because it's if we load
the front end with upper Moon 2 and then
the last half is the upper Moon one I
think it will seem a bit kind of hard to
do that so what I'm thinking is we start
with upper Moon 2 but then we cut to
Upper Moon one and we start to have the
upper Moon one fight we end about the
upper Moon two or we we the upper Moon
two fight will end about three4 of the
way through and then the final like 20
minutes is just upper Moon one fight
because that is the big climactic scene
of the movie I think it's fine if the
upper Moon 2 fight ends pretty quickly
so that way we can get on with the final
the big fight there now this does mean
that the second movie will be pretty
much a blood bath uh and it will be the
uh deadliest movie of all of them um
because it does not go well and we get
obviously like I just said shobu will
die in the first movie so I think we're
g to you know it'll cover that again
kind of like how we're going to cover
the entrance to the infinity castle like
the final scene of the hashir training
Arc will be the first scene of the first
movie I think we're going to get the
final scene with shinobu will be the
first scene of the second movie and I
think then obviously we got one that's
already dead with shobu and then we're
going to have more and more and more
characters that just start biting the
dust throughout that and I think this is
the movie where you're kind of start to
realize we're not going to get out of
this without some major character deaths
so going through the upper Moon one and
the upper Moon 2 fight we end those and
so now we have to figure out how we go
from the second movie to the third movie
and I think this is the easiest part I
think this was very obvious to me as to
where you start that third movie and
it's pretty much muon reappearing uh
muon kind of disappears for the first
like two-thirds of this story um and
then he reappears and that's whenever we
kind of get all of this you know what's
happening and everything and this is
where I think we are going to end the
first movie is mus on reappearing and
then we will just cut there now I think
there is a few spots you could cut um I
think the best one is if you just say
hey all right upper Moon one is dead
upper Moon 2 is dead but muan still
there here's muon final movie here we
go I think you could also end it with
the infinity Castle being destroyed um
which would mean the upper moon for is
is defeated um the upper Moon 4 fight is
very very brief uh it's pretty much the
same length as the zenitsu fight um and
I think uh it it works best as just
being a first scene of the movie so I
think you know it or the third movie I
think that works the best I think as a
thematic thing it just gives you this
kind of okay brief fight we're not going
straight into the mus on fight I don't
think that really would work so it's
kind of an opening scene we get the
upper Moon 4 fight and then that's the
final upper Moon that is gone uh we get
that one defeated and then we the
infinity Castle is completely destroyed
at that point we are outside and then we
are pretty much in the sunrise Arc so
this would mean that the final three
volumes of the manga are all in this
final movie and I'm not going to go into
Major Spoilers here about what happens
at the very end but obviously you can
kind of assume that muan is defeated so
I think all of this is going to happen
in the final movie but I think the final
movie is going to have the most anime
original content especially the epilog
especially the final stuff because there
is some questions that have never really
been answered uh especially with the
fact that uh it's pretty much we've
heard it before that if you get the
Demon Slayer Mark you are going to die
before a certain age and that plays a
role in this final uh Arc here but it
never is explained that if whenever muan
is defeated if that still Reigns true or
if that Cur is broken so I think that's
where we got to really look into it and
see if they make any changes to clarify
that or if they change it because right
now a lot of people assume they still
will um but I think some people might
say no uh they that's all gone once M on
is defeated so I think either way I
think that needs to be explained and I
think it will be by an epilog so as for
like runtime of these I would say first
movie you're going to look at probably
right at about two hours I think two
hours makes the most sense you're going
to introduce the characters the world
again um just get the general audience
if they haven't been here since M Train
you're going to kind of get them up to
speed where we're at and then all right
here we go again we're in the infinity
Castle do the zenitsu fight do the upper
Moon three there you go and I think
think that way putting the upper Moon 3
fight in that first movie if you do have
people that weren't here since mugan
train they're like I remember that guy I
don't like that guy we're going to kill
him and there you go and then they're
hooked for the next movie so then moving
on to movie two I think that one you're
probably talking about an hour and 40
minutes I just don't think you could
make it much longer and my reasoning is
is because that upper Moon 2 fight is
probably a little longer than the upper
Moon one fight yeah the upper Moon one
fight has got a lot lot of just it it's
really good it's a really good fight now
I personally I think the best fight in
this entire Arc is the upper Moon 2
fight that's a separate fact but I think
that upper Moon one fight has some
really interesting details it's got some
really hard hitting moment I think all
of that is a great point but I still
think that that whole point there is
still going to only be probably the
upper Moon 2 fight is probably going to
be right at about 40 minutes the upper
Moon one fight is going to be right at
probably 40 minutes as well that gives
you about 20 extra minutes to introduce
uh muon as well as well as you know
having the shobou scene from the
original or from the first movie that
you're going to put on this one I just
think that works the best but then that
gets us on to the final movie and I
think the final movie is going to be
like two hours and 20 minutes I think
it's going to be quite long and I think
the biggest reason for that is Anime
original content you're just going to
have a lot of stuff I think they're
going to want to add on to the end of
this story nothing that is unnecessary I
think it's all going to be necessary
stuff that probably was not thought of
for the manga or just stuff that they
want to clarify from the manga like I
mentioned before so I think all of that
will be put into the final movie I think
it makes most sense there you're going
to have a lot of like kind of I don't
want to say grieving
but like celebration and I think I think
you need that at the end of that movie
so I think the
first hour and a half is going to be the
fight the Muson fight and then the final
like 30 to 40 minutes is going to be
talking about the end of that wrapping
up nezo wrapping up Tano wrapping up
everything like that going over the
characters that have died we're going to
have to have all of that and then we're
going to talk about the epilogue I think
the epilog will be pretty much identical
to what we see in the manga except I'm
going to go out on a limb and say that
we're going to get a narrator for the
epilog the epilog's got a lot of panels
that are just
like this is who this is this is who
this is this is who this is we can't
really do that and the way the
characters are designed in the epilog
you're going to need a little bit of a
description because some of them may be
confused with other characters I was the
first time I read it so I think you're
definitely going to have to have a
narrator to kind of just go over
everything and I don't know who you make
the narrator do you make it uh you know
one person from the past do you make it
one of these new characters I don't know
uh this is something that I think we'll
have to look into as we get closer maybe
it's something that I'm completely off
on and we don't need a narrator maybe
they'll just put little speech bubbles
or something I don't know but I
definitely think you need some sort of
narrator at the finale and I think that
will really make that movie just so much
better and that's about it obviously we
are probably about a year away from this
first movie I think it will be early
next year that we get that first movie I
think the second movie will be fall of
next year and then I think the third and
final movie will be summer of 2026 I
think we're going to get them probably
about 6 to eight months apart being that
it's June now I think probably February
will be the first one then we're going
to get another one probably around
October is and then the final one will
be probably around April so we'll see
how all that turns out um obviously I
know that there have been uh people
saying that Demon Slayer production is
way ahead of where they need to be so
they probably could release all three of
them next year if they wanted to I don't
think that's in their best interest I
think their best interest is to do them
kind of spread out not very far uh you
can't do them like Star Wars to where
you do one every like three years or two
years because people would just lose
interest they would get bored of it and
your audience right now you're you've
got a younger audience so younger
audiences move on to new things very
quickly so if you keep them like hey
remember this from you know a year ago
here's the next movie here's the next
movie here's the next movie if you split
it out over six years you're going to
lose a lot of your Audience by that
final movie so you're going to have to
Bam Bam Bam get them out and I think
they're going to do that so anyway
that's pretty much it um what did you
think do you think uh it will be what I
said do you think they're going to move
the fights do you think they're just
going to split it up we're going to get
the first half of the upper Moon 2 fight
in that first movie and then we're going
to get the second half of it in that
second movie I just don't see how that's
going to work that's going to be so much
content in that first movie and then a
very
upper Moon one heavy second movie and I
just don't think that'll work um do you
think the upper Moon three fight will be
in the first movie or the second F or
movie let me know down below what you
think I think I think what I laid out is
the best possible way you can do it but
like I said I don't know I I was right
about the hasher training stuff but this
is a whole another animal um but if we
get any more information on this um I
will make another video or I will talk
about it on my podcast so go ahead and
like And subscribe and I we'll talk
about that whenever it comes up we've
got a lot more stuff coming especially
Demon Slayer uh we've got a a bunch of
merch here you can see nezo there so we
will have more merch and everything like
that so if you want to like And
subscribe and to check that out whenever
it comes out I would greatly appreciate
that um but anyway until next time bye
