## Summary

This video breaks down the Screen X version of the Avengers: Doomsday trailer, revealing new details hidden in the expanded frame. Eric Voss from New Rockstars analyzes everything from Latverian witches to a red sky that hints at Battleworld, plus official merch that teases key locations.

### Key Points

- **Screen X Explained** [00:50] — Screen X is an immersive format by CJ 4DPLEX that expands the frame using peripheral screens. For Doomsday, the Russo brothers shot with wider frames, revealing elements not in standard trailers.
- **Latverian Witches Revealed** [02:14] — The widened shot of Dr. Doom's throne room reveals up to five Latverian witches, including two new figures that might be Doctor Strange variants (possibly codenamed 'Boris').
- **Kate Bishop's Apartment Confirmed** [04:35] — The scene of Scott Lang kissing Cassie Lang is confirmed to be in Kate Bishop's apartment, suggesting Cassie and Kate are roommates and that Hailee Steinfeld and Iman Vellani may appear in Doomsday.
- **Hailee Steinfeld Cryptic Confirmation** [05:40] — Hailee Steinfeld's cryptic answer on The Tonight Show ('I actually am') when asked if she's in Doomsday suggests she will appear in at least one of the two Avengers movies.
- **Red Sky Hints at Battleworld** [08:05] — The Screen X trailer shows a deep red sky during Thor's fight with Doom, which in Secret Wars comics indicates another Earth appearing on the horizon — hinting at Battleworld.
- **Pyramid in the Void** [09:02] — A possible pyramid sighting on the peripheral screen suggests the fights might be set in the Void as it transitions into Battleworld, referencing Loki Season 1.
- **Sentinel Tour Locations** [09:45] — Official NYCC merch lists Sentinel tour stops: Avengers Mansion, Sanctum Sanctorum, Bethesda Terrace, Baxter Building, Yancey Street, Times Square, and Outer Space.

### Conclusion

The Screen X trailer for Avengers: Doomsday offers more than just a wider view — it reveals key story details like a red sky hinting at Battleworld, a confirmed Kate Bishop/Cassie Lang connection, and a Sentinel tour map that teases major locations. These clues point to a massive, multiversal conflict that will reshape the MCU.

## Transcript

The sky is red in Doomsday! Latverian witches are everywhere! King Bishop and Cassie Lay living together? And they were rude. Oh my god, they were rude, man. Welcome back to New Rockstars, I'm Eric Voss,
and this is a breakdown of the Avengers Doomsday trailer shown in Screen X format. And a whole bunch of new things we just learned about this movie, from this and new locations like the Sinctum Centaurum and Avengers Mansion, confirmed with official merch that's going to be released for this film.

The best way to support us at New Rockstars. It was so cool seeing so many of you rocking New Rockstars here while going to rewatch Endgame Encore in theaters last weekend. Like all of these awesome folks. Thank you all so much. So this Screen X trailer for Avengers Doomsday
is the same D23 trailer that we got in August, but it now includes expanded versions showing peripheral screens for a number of shots. Now, if you've never seen Screen X before, It's an immersive film exhibition experience created by Korean company CJ40plex,
using peripheral screens that expand the frame as it was shot by the filmmaker. For most films, the movie is retrofitted to project new expansions on the side screens to make the viewer feel surrounded by the film. For some parts of the movie, the side screens just stay black.
For some parts, it shows expansions of the walls or background surfaces of a scene using the effects. Sometimes it bleeds over characters and elements on the sides of the frame, but Spider-Man Brand New Day was the first movie ever shot with screen X in mind, So Destiny's Day of Cretin and his crew shot a number of action scenes with some of Spider-Man's webbing action happening on the peripheral screens,
like Peter's whole fight with the Hand Ninjas in the BODC prison was designed to look very, very cool in Screen X. Maybe that sounds fun to you, maybe it's not your thing. But another way Screen X films fill in the size of the screens is using different angles of shot from the studio
that show elements that were just not included in the frame of the trailers as you've seen them on YouTube. Trailer post-production finishing houses will often export different aspect ratios of trailers with taller frames of the shot, as is the case with IMAX version of trailers, and now wider frames of a shot for ScreenX.
So ScreenX didn't, like, make up this stuff. It all came from Marvel Studios and what the Russo brothers actually shot for Doomsday. The first major new detail is this shot of Dr. Doom that angles down on him in his throne room, and it's our best shot yet of the Latverian Witch behind him.
We started to see this in August with the D23 trailer. Not just one Latverian Witch directly behind him on that specific tiled region of the floor with the Latverian runes, I think that's the green cloaked one that we saw at Comic-Con, but also there's two more right behind them,
the brown-cloaked witch on the left, and maybe even the purple-cloaked witch on the right, just behind them in the middle section. But now, on the left peripheral screen of Screen X, we see two more witches, or witch-like figures, bringing the total to five.
I think these two might actually be what we thought was the male witch design with the hole in the forehead, the costume design that we saw going around in August that so far has never been confirmed by Marvel, and was claimed by someone online to be codenamed Boris.
If this costume design is legitimate, we assume this might be Doctor Strange or a variant of him meeting that hole in the mask for the third eye on the forehead in order to see out of it. But the idea of there being two Morrises is a bit confusing.
Would we then take that to mean that both Doctor Strange from Earth-616 and his variant Sinister Strange from that post-incursion universe that was destroyed by Earth-838 and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, both of them could be serving Doctor Doom in this movie?
Or could the second one of these side figures actually be Charlize Theron's Clea, leaving the other three witches to just be completely different figures entirely Hey you It okay if you playing games on your phone while you watch my video but you should know there an app where you can earn money while you do it TesterUp is the platform we mentioned in other videos that helps people make more money by testing apps and

Well, the next shot with added context is right here. Scott Lang kissing Cassie Lang on the forehead. Before, we weren't sure what kitchen this takes place in, but now, thanks to ScreenX, we can see a specific ladder staircase on the left, making this unmistakably the apartment
of Kate Bishop, seen in the Hawkeye series and in the post-credits scene of the Marvels. So, this would suggest that Cassie Lang and Kate Bishop might be roommates, and that Hailee Steinfeld might also make an appearance in Avengers Doomsday, and that, perhaps,
Iman Vellani's Kamala Khan might also appear in Doomsday, because that post-credits scene from the Marvel suggested that Kamala and Kate were going to team up in this location. And when I interviewed Iman in 2023 after this movie came out, she told me that there was a version of the scene where two or more other characters were also going to be there.
You did say in another interview that originally the scene with Kate Bishop was scripted to have Kamala meeting someone else. Was it the other person, the daughter that Kamala had said, or someone else? Someone else is plural.
old. There was a few people. But you know what? I like this version better because I want to see Kamala collect her Infinity Stones. So I think this now confirms that one of those others was going to be Cassie Lang after the
events of Quantumania and that the other one might have been Dominique Thorne's Riri Williams Ironheart because in Marvel Zombies it was Kamala, Kate, and Riri together. And I think Marvel at some point planned that grouping of them to be together in live action.
On the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon last night Hailee Steinfeld was super cryptic about her possible appearance in Avengers Tuesday. There's a rumor that you might be in Avengers Doom today. Just saying. You don't have to say.
But then when they announced the cast list, I didn't see your chair there. So maybe you're not in it. Well, I didn't see it either. My husband actually called me the other day and was like, are you in this?
And I was like, you know, I actually am. I don't know. You don't know if you're in it? I have no idea. Time will tell. Wow. All right, all right. I tried, I tried, I tried. Taylor, you actually have no idea?
What does that mean? I mean, if she hadn't shot anything for Doomsday or Secret Wars, there was an easy denial right there. So her answer tells us that she will be in at least one of these two movies. Iman has so far had to play coy about any possible involvement with Doomsday.
During a Dunkin' interview last April, Andy Perkins and Iman Balani had this exchange. I'm excited for Dallas. I'm excited to see you in Doomsday. That's a wow. No, you can't do that. Oh, I can't.
Well, if Thursday doesn't be the chance to see you. If there's a chance to watch the Tuesday episode. Yeah but God happening for Thursday Well just in the meantime Iman has been great on the Countdown to Tuesday podcast Iman and Frank come on New Rock Stars let do another crossover
You know it's going to be awesome. Now, the next widened shot shows a shot of Loki and Steve Rogers in Peggy Carter's house. Over on the right side of the peripheral screen, we can see what looks like a wedding photo of Steve and Peggy. But here's the odd thing about all this.
The Avengers Endgame Encore extended final scene suggests that Loki knocks on Steve and Peggy's door right when Steve gets back, like moments after he reunited with Peggy and started dancing. But in the July 20th trailer that added this shot of Loki handing Steve the TVA calling card,
and in the August 14th D23 trailer, which is the version we're seeing here, Steve had a wedding ring when we see him holding the card. That's how we knew it was Steve. So that would suggest that Loki visits Steve several times in this movie, like comes back.
Or it could say that Loki visits him once and then does whatever he does to help Steve and Peggy here, and then leaves Steve with his TVA card, And then, years later, after Steve is married, with a wedding ring, and a baby, something happens with that baby.
And then we see Steve pulling out the old card, meaning that the card close-up that we see in the trailer shots is from a different scene. But the coolest new context we get from the Screen X trailer reveals that in the scene where Thor fights Dr. Doom,
while this version of the shot sadly does not yet have the Kirby crackle that we pointed out from the Silence Your Phones promo in yesterday's video, we do see on peripheral screens that the sky is a deep red. Whoa! So a red sky is something that we haven't had that pronounced yet in the Doomsday Trailer?
Shots have shown an orange-tinted sky that could just be the sun shining through a red sky when it's dark or on other parts of it. The angles of Thor battling Doom have so far stayed in tighter close-ups, angled downward, or with only a cloud-covered background horizon,
or just the shot illuminated mostly from the lightning from Stormbreaker. But now, on the side, this is a red sky, folks. In Jonathan Haidtman's Secret Wars comic crossover event, the sky would turn red when another Earth was appearing in very close proximity on the horizon.
It was an effect of that atmosphere beginning to collide with this atmosphere. So I can't wait to see this on the background of many of the shots in Avengers Doomsday. And one additional possible detail from the Scream X trailer, in the shot of Doctor Doom flying through that breaking window and landing wearing the alternate suit,
user CreepSeas on our subreddit spotted that you might be able to see a pyramid on the left peripheral screen. though you do really have to brighten up that part of the shot. You may remember the Pyramids of Giza being among the wonders of the world
that had been preened to the void in Loki Season 1, Episode 5. So this could suggest that all of these exterior fights with Doctor Doom that we're seeing, including the shots of the Sentinels rising, even with the red sky in the background, might actually be the void as it's transitioning into Battleworld.
We know from Deadpool and Wolverine that there was a Sentinel ray that was left in the void. That's how Deadpool and Wolverine initially escaped to Tantra Nova's compound. But the potential sightings of a masked Latverian witch form of Doctor Strange brings up this interesting bit of news from some official Avengers Doomsday merch that's going to be sold at New York Comic Con.
The theme of these is a Sentinel tour that shows where the Sentinels are going to be making stops in Doomsday. Locations including Avengers Mansion, New York, Sentim Sanctorum, New York, Bethesda Terrace, New York, 42 Baxter Building, New York, Doomsday, Latveria.
And then another yellow shirt adds a few more locations, including Yancey Street, New York, Times Square, New York, and Outer Space. Yeah, these sentinels are getting around. Avengers Mansion was originally the home and base of operations for the Avengers in their
original run from 1963 onward. The former family manor of the Stark family located at 890 Fifth Avenue in Manhattan Stanley actually based it on the Henry Clay Frick House on Fifth Avenue that he used to walk past on his way to work While the Avengers have been known for their base of operations being Avengers Tower built on the corporate and
showy infrastructure of Stark Tower, Avengers Mansion has always been right there as another more residential base for various eras of Avengers and new Avengers. I think we could look at this as the potential base of operations for Captain America Sam Wilson's OG
Avengers, the faction who's suing the new Avengers aka Thunderbolt. This could be where Sam Wilson, Joaquin Torre, is. Scott Lang, Shang-Chi, and Thor all had their meetings. Maybe it's a mansion left by Tony in his will to whatever Avengers would be left after he died in Avengers Endgame.
We actually might have already seen the interior of that mansion all the way back in 2016's Captain America Civil War. Tony Stark's bar of memory of the last time he saw his father Howard and mother Maria. The Russo brothers already saw that scene. Maybe they're going to revisit this location in this movie.
Or, since we know Kate Bishop is going to be joining the mix apparently, maybe she donated that fancy penthouse of her mother Eleanor Bishop for Clint Barton and the other Avengers she's in contact with to use. Now, Sanctum Sanctorum pretty much tells us that the Sentinels are going to attack the mansion on 1778 Laker Street,
where Doctor Strange resides, the same place where the Ancient One warned Bruce Banner in Avengers Endgame that they would be defenseless and doomed, to use her words, if the Rogers did not properly return the Infinity Stones to their proper point in time.
But that's the terrace in the area in Manhattan where, at the end of 2012's Avengers, Thor took a captured Loki and used the Biprox to blast both of them back to Asgard. In our recent revisitation of Endgame, I pointed out how, in that branch timeline during the time ice,
after Loki vanished with the Tesseract, that was really moments away from being pruned by B-15's reset charge over in Mongolia. Now, I don't know why these shirts say 42 Baxter Building. Earth-42 obviously has its significance to the Spider-Verse movies,
and 42, of course, is the all-important number to the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. But it sounds like Doctor Doom is going to bring those Sentinels over to Earth-828 to attack the Baxter Building of the Fantastic Four. That structure is at the Suffer Galactus, and now these assholes.
I assume that battle is going to spill over to Yancey Street and Times Square in Earth-828. Now, while we are seeing the interior of the Doomstats in these trailers, it blows my mind that we still have not fully seen, in any marketing, the Marvel heroes battling Doctor Doom's forces in Liberia.
I think that's going to be a huge part of the final battle in this movie, and we are still not seeing any of it in trailers yet. So that leaves us with outer space. Is the battle with the Sentinels going to spill outside of the shared atmospheres of these planets?
Is Johnny Storm going to leave the Sentinels on a chase in space? I mean, remember Ned Spidey Trunker outfound another Spider-Man seemingly just in space. If that isn't Peter Parker having been collected by Doctor Doom in the way Bruce Banner was and relocated to the newly forming battle world,
maybe we'll see Spider-Man in the Sentinel battle in outer space. Comments down below! And a special thanks to one of our In Our Underground subscribers, Bro, for supporting us at the executive producer level. You can get all of our exclusive bonus content
