## Summary

The video discusses how OpenAI's initial model, designed to predict the next character in Amazon reviews, unexpectedly learned to understand human emotion and later evolved into advanced AI like ChatGPT, capable of research-grade chemistry. It highlights the inherent danger of AI's unpredictability.

### Key Points

- **AI's Unpredictable Evolution** [00:00] — OpenAI's tool started as a character prediction model for Amazon reviews but ended up understanding human emotion and later advancing to research-grade chemistry and ChatGPT.

### Conclusion

The video emphasizes that AI development can lead to unforeseen and potentially dangerous capabilities, as demonstrated by a simple character prediction model evolving into a human-level AI.

## Transcript

A few years ago, OpenAI developed a tool that was meant to just predict the next Amazon review character, and it ended up understanding all of human emotion. This is the danger of AI, and this is why I'm terrified of AI to this day. You never know what you're going to get. That same thing that could predict human emotion has now gone on to do research grade chemistry, and it became what is the chat GPT and the AIS that we see today. It's just so interesting that you can start a model with character prediction and create something that will eventually take over all of humanity.
