[0:00] What's up everybody? Damon here and for [0:01] today's daily fix, we have a free GTA V [0:04] upgrade for PS5 [music] and Xbox Series [0:05] and a new heist in GTA Online. This is [0:07] your daily fix. [0:19] Presented by Universal Orlando Resort [0:21] and [music] its newest theme park, [0:22] Universal Epic Universe. [0:26] If you own a digital copy of Grand Theft [0:28] Auto 5 on Xbox One or any kind of copy [0:30] on PS4, you'll be entitled to a free [0:32] upgrade to the current gen versions of [0:33] the game starting tomorrow, June 18th. [0:35] As has been the case for years, you'll [0:37] also be able to migrate all of your [0:39] progress over, ensuring everything [0:40] you've earned transfers with you. GTA V [0:42] costs 40 bucks on current gen platforms, [0:43] so this is a good deal. If you haven't [0:45] yet double or triple dipped, Rockstar is [0:47] making things easy on you. The current [0:48] gen versions of GTA V have been [0:49] available since March 2022. And while it [0:52] isn't a wildly dramatic leap from last [0:53] gen, it does provide a much smoother [0:55] experience thanks to things like 60 [0:57] frames per second. Of course, GTA 6 is [0:59] finally coming this November. Makes [1:01] sense to give GTA 5 one last big push [1:03] before that. As of right now, Rockstar [1:05] has yet to release any details about GTA [1:07] 6's online mode, so it's hard to say if [1:09] any of your progress will carry over [1:10] from that. Given that people have spent [1:12] 13 years building a life in GTA Online, [1:14] some fans are hoping they'll get to [1:15] bring some goodies with them to Vice [1:16] City. But it also wouldn't be surprising [1:18] if everyone got a fresh start when the [1:20] mode drops. The next look at GTA 6 is [1:22] expected to arrive this summer. It [1:23] wouldn't be surprising if Rockstar waits [1:25] until after the release of a new update [1:26] in July, so it doesn't distract anyone [1:28] from the new content is trying to push [1:30] to fans. Speaking of that new update, [1:33] GTA Online is getting its next big [1:34] update in just a few weeks. The new [1:36] update, known as the Courts Center [1:37] Heist, will let players ransack Los [1:39] Santos most prestigious art gallery. The [1:42] building has been in GTA V since launch, [1:43] but has largely been unused for any [1:45] significant content outside of a [1:46] standoff between various law enforcement [1:48] agencies in the story mode. It's never [1:49] had an accessible interior, and there's [1:51] not much reason to go visit it, but that [1:53] will all change in July. If it's [1:54] anything like other GTA Online updates, [1:56] this will likely be quite expansive and [1:57] feature new vehicles, weapons, clothing, [1:59] and potentially gameplay mechanics. [2:01] Previous heists are also highly [2:02] replayable thanks to different [2:03] approaches, which allow you to take on [2:04] these high-risisk jobs in a wide variety [2:06] of ways. Details are still scarce on [2:08] what exactly the update will feature [2:09] beyond this heist, but Rockstar will [2:10] likely give fans a rundown a few days [2:12] before it launches. Fans may also want [2:14] to start preparing as you'll need a fair [2:15] bit of money and assets to partake in [2:17] this heist. Players will need to own one [2:18] of the mansions that were added in the [2:20] last major GTA online update as the [2:22] mansion's art studio will be renovated [2:24] into a heist planning room. If you don't [2:25] have a mansion yet or you're broke, [2:27] Rockstar will be offering ways to earn [2:28] bonus GTA bucks in the coming weeks. [2:30] Additionally, GTA Plus members will be [2:32] able to get a $2 million discount on the [2:34] mansions very soon. All in all, it seems [2:36] like a perfect time to jump back into [2:37] GTA online if you've played it before, [2:39] especially as anticipation builds for [2:40] GTA 6's release this November. And that [2:43] is your daily fix for Wednesday, June [2:44] [music] 17th. Now that you're caught up [2:45] on the news, watch the Unreal Engine 6 [2:47] reveal overview. I'm Damon Hatfield, and [2:49] for all your video game news, stay [2:50] tuned. [music]
