## Summary

The video announces a free GTA V upgrade for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S owners who have digital copies on Xbox One or any copy on PS4, starting June 18th. It also introduces a new GTA Online heist, the Courts Center Heist, set for July, which will allow players to rob Los Santos' most prestigious art gallery. The presenter discusses the significance of these updates as anticipation for GTA 6's November release builds.

### Key Points

- **Free GTA V current-gen upgrade** [0:00-0:07] — Owners of a digital copy of GTA V on Xbox One or any copy on PS4 get a free upgrade to the current-gen versions starting June 18th. Progress transfers, and it's normally $40.
- **Update availability and benefits** [0:26-0:34] — Current-gen versions have been available since March 2022. The upgrade offers smoother 60 fps gameplay, though not a dramatic visual leap from last gen.
- **Context with GTA 6** [0:59-1:03] — GTA 6 is coming in November, so this free upgrade gives GTA V a final push. No details on GTA 6 Online progress carryover have been released.
- **Courts Center Heist announcement** [1:32-1:36] — GTA Online's next big update in July features the Courts Center Heist, robbing the previously unused art gallery. It will have new vehicles, weapons, and clothing.
- **Heist replayability and requirements** [2:01-2:06] — Heists are replayable with different approaches. Players need to own a mansion (added in the last update) and will have an art studio converted into a planning room.
- **Incentives for players** [2:30-2:34] — GTA Plus members get a $2 million discount on mansions. Rockstar will offer bonus GTA bucks for broke players in the coming weeks.

### Conclusion

The video positions June/July 2023 as an ideal time to re-engage with GTA Online, offering a free current-gen upgrade and a major new heist, all while building hype for GTA 6's November release.

## Transcript

What's up everybody? Damon here and for
today's daily fix, we have a free GTA V
upgrade for PS5 [music] and Xbox Series
and a new heist in GTA Online. This is
your daily fix.
Presented by Universal Orlando Resort
and [music] its newest theme park,
Universal Epic Universe.
If you own a digital copy of Grand Theft
Auto 5 on Xbox One or any kind of copy
on PS4, you'll be entitled to a free
upgrade to the current gen versions of
the game starting tomorrow, June 18th.
As has been the case for years, you'll
also be able to migrate all of your
progress over, ensuring everything
you've earned transfers with you. GTA V
costs 40 bucks on current gen platforms,
so this is a good deal. If you haven't
yet double or triple dipped, Rockstar is
making things easy on you. The current
gen versions of GTA V have been
available since March 2022. And while it
isn't a wildly dramatic leap from last
gen, it does provide a much smoother
experience thanks to things like 60
frames per second. Of course, GTA 6 is
finally coming this November. Makes
sense to give GTA 5 one last big push
before that. As of right now, Rockstar
has yet to release any details about GTA
6's online mode, so it's hard to say if
any of your progress will carry over
from that. Given that people have spent
13 years building a life in GTA Online,
some fans are hoping they'll get to
bring some goodies with them to Vice
City. But it also wouldn't be surprising
if everyone got a fresh start when the
mode drops. The next look at GTA 6 is
expected to arrive this summer. It
wouldn't be surprising if Rockstar waits
until after the release of a new update
in July, so it doesn't distract anyone
from the new content is trying to push
to fans. Speaking of that new update,
GTA Online is getting its next big
update in just a few weeks. The new
update, known as the Courts Center
Heist, will let players ransack Los
Santos most prestigious art gallery. The
building has been in GTA V since launch,
but has largely been unused for any
significant content outside of a
standoff between various law enforcement
agencies in the story mode. It's never
had an accessible interior, and there's
not much reason to go visit it, but that
will all change in July. If it's
anything like other GTA Online updates,
this will likely be quite expansive and
feature new vehicles, weapons, clothing,
and potentially gameplay mechanics.
Previous heists are also highly
replayable thanks to different
approaches, which allow you to take on
these high-risisk jobs in a wide variety
of ways. Details are still scarce on
what exactly the update will feature
beyond this heist, but Rockstar will
likely give fans a rundown a few days
before it launches. Fans may also want
to start preparing as you'll need a fair
bit of money and assets to partake in
this heist. Players will need to own one
of the mansions that were added in the
last major GTA online update as the
mansion's art studio will be renovated
into a heist planning room. If you don't
have a mansion yet or you're broke,
Rockstar will be offering ways to earn
bonus GTA bucks in the coming weeks.
Additionally, GTA Plus members will be
able to get a $2 million discount on the
mansions very soon. All in all, it seems
like a perfect time to jump back into
GTA online if you've played it before,
especially as anticipation builds for
GTA 6's release this November. And that
is your daily fix for Wednesday, June
[music] 17th. Now that you're caught up
on the news, watch the Unreal Engine 6
reveal overview. I'm Damon Hatfield, and
for all your video game news, stay
tuned. [music]
