[0:00] We've all seen the debates. Goku vs. [0:01] Saitama, Naruto vs. Luffy. But when we [0:04] introduce characters powerful enough to [0:06] delete timelines, as we'll see later, [0:07] you learn there really is levels to [0:09] this. When we break it down, what [0:10] characters really are the most powerful [0:12] of them all? What characters strongest [0:13] in their own verse look like side [0:15] characters compared to others? Where [0:16] will your favorite character rank? Join [0:18] me today as we break this down and [0:20] discover the seven levels of anime [0:21] power. [0:23] Level one, weaklings. Starting at level [0:25] one here, this is the weakest of the [0:27] weak. Behind every planet-busting [0:28] Saiyan, god-level being, and [0:30] universe-saving superhero is a crowd of [0:32] people who need that saving. Characters [0:34] on this level are weaker than the [0:35] average human. Whereas these characters [0:36] might have brilliant minds or emotional [0:38] support, maybe even comedic relief, or [0:40] have any of the other redeeming [0:41] qualities, you put them in a boxing ring [0:43] with Hobo Dave over here and you better [0:45] hope there's no spare change in their [0:46] pockets he can steal once he knocks them [0:48] out. A perfect example of this level is [0:50] Shinji Ikari from Neon Genesis [0:51] Evangelion. Obviously, outside of the [0:53] Eva. Shinji's a kid. He's also not in a [0:55] verse where humans have any sort of [0:57] special powers. He's barely 2 years into [0:59] his teenage years, and if you round up, [1:00] probably only 110 lb soaking wet. [1:02] Whereas he is chosen as an Eva pilot due [1:04] to his compatibility, the most athletic [1:06] thing I've seen him do is fall while [1:07] playing Twister. On top of this, he's [1:09] fighting off breakdowns every 5 minutes, [1:11] earning Shinji the coveted spot of [1:12] poster boy for this level. But hey, [1:14] against what many might think, there's [1:16] nothing wrong with being on this level. [1:17] Without level one characters, beings in [1:19] the higher levels would be less [1:20] impressive, so we have them to thank for [1:22] that. Some other examples of this [1:23] include Coby from the beginning of One [1:25] Piece, Okarun from the beginning of [1:26] Dandadan, this bunny girl from Beastars, [1:29] and these anime babies. I also want to [1:30] add in farmer from the beginning of [1:32] Dragon Ball Z, minus the shotgun, of [1:34] course. What's your power level, little [1:36] human? [1:37] Five, huh? PROTECT ME, GOOD. [1:40] HEY, NO. BAD HUMAN. [1:43] DAMN IT, I'M GOING TO BUSH. [1:46] BAD. NOW, get back up and tell me you're [1:49] sorry. [1:50] Human? [1:52] Human. [1:54] Level two, average humans. On the level [1:56] two, we come across the most saturated [1:58] level, that being the average human [2:00] power level. No intense training, no [2:02] special gimmicks, no quirky powers, no [2:04] ki or inner energy, this level is where [2:06] most humans reside. 99% of us in real [2:08] life would fall into this tier. Examples [2:10] of this level can be found in every [2:11] anime. Background characters, side [2:13] characters, and even most main [2:14] characters if you look past shonen, [2:16] you'll find them here. These characters [2:17] aren't fighting to save the world, [2:19] they're fighting their alarm clocks and [2:20] homework due dates. My pick for the lead [2:22] of this level is Ryuji from Toradora. [2:24] Ryuji doesn't do any fighting throughout [2:26] his anime. In fact, this guy's the one [2:27] taking the beating most of the time. At [2:29] least that shows his durability. Ryuji [2:31] is strong enough to weather a snowstorm [2:33] and carry Taiga on his back. So, this [2:35] earns him a solid spot in the average [2:36] human tier. Others on this level include [2:38] Kaguya Shinomiya from Love is War, Light [2:40] Yagami from Death Note, and even Tanjiro [2:42] Kamado from Demon Slayer. [2:45] Before training, of course. [2:47] Level three. Peak realistic human [2:49] ability. On our next level is the peak [2:51] of power that could be achievable in the [2:52] real world, albeit borderline [2:54] impossible. Just absurd amounts of [2:56] discipline, talent, and years of [2:57] training. My favorite example for this [2:59] level is Mr. Hercule Satan. Well, well, [3:01] well. I hear what some of you are [3:02] probably screaming at me for right now. [3:04] Mr. Satan, isn't his gag about being [3:06] weak? And to that I say, yes, but he's [3:09] weak for the Dragon Ball verse. Compared [3:11] to Goku, Mr. Satan loses to his aura [3:13] alone. Police officer Krillin? Yeah, Mr. [3:15] Satan is toast. But compared to other [3:17] non-ki trained humans, Mr. Satan clears. [3:20] Unless saiyan, child saiyan, ki trained [3:22] human, android, or evil sea cucumbers [3:24] are present, this guy is winning the [3:26] World Martial Arts Tournament, which is [3:27] a one-on-one tournament featuring the [3:29] strongest fighter from across the world. [3:31] Also, don't forget, he was the one who [3:32] beat Perfect Cell. Despite it not being [3:34] realistic as this level's title [3:35] suggests, I would also throw lower level [3:37] characters who make up for their power [3:38] gap from the top of this tier with [3:40] powers. Nothing crazy, of course, just [3:42] small boosts that help them level the [3:43] playing field. I'm thinking of someone [3:44] like Mineta from My Hero Academia. He's [3:47] far from a master of martial arts, [3:49] doesn't have years of training, yet his [3:50] sticky ball quirk can help him close the [3:52] power gap with someone like Hercule. [3:53] Other than him in this level, I would [3:55] include Ayanakoji from Classroom of the [3:57] Elite. And at the peak of this tier, [3:58] Levi Ackerman from Attack on Titan, [4:00] minus his swords and ODM gear, of [4:02] course. [4:03] Level four, powered humans. [4:05] This is the first level where the [4:06] fictional properties of anime can bring [4:08] us to a level of power that non-fiction [4:10] simply cannot touch. The characters in [4:12] this tier are superhuman plus. While [4:13] humans at their core, abilities, [4:15] transformations, supernatural boosts, [4:17] and other things of that nature, [4:18] alongside their training, push them into [4:20] this tier. This is the level where [4:21] characters start to feel like [4:22] superheroes. My choice for the face of [4:24] this tier is none other than Yuji [4:25] Itadori from Jujutsu Kaisen. At the [4:27] beginning of JJK, Yuji is an [4:29] athletically gifted person, but at the [4:31] end of the day, still a high school kid. [4:33] After getting a boost in power from [4:34] Sukuna's fingers, he's able to achieve [4:36] power past that what of a regular human [4:38] could do due to his new ability to [4:40] access and utilize cursed energy. Using [4:42] cursed energy reinforcement, Yuji is [4:44] able to increase his speed, strength, [4:45] durability, and other physical stats, [4:47] putting him easily above what is [4:49] achievable by normal humans. Now, as we [4:51] go along, I want you to know that there [4:52] are scales within these levels. Not [4:54] everyone on this level, or any level for [4:56] that matter, is going to be equal in [4:57] power. Especially as we get into the [4:59] weeds of different versions of [5:00] characters and all that. Just keep this [5:02] in mind. Do you think a character I [5:03] mentioned belongs on a different tier? [5:05] Did I miss one of your favorites? Make [5:06] sure to comment that down below. And [5:08] hey, while you're down there typing out [5:09] your comments, please make sure you [5:11] subscribe as only 2% of you watching [5:12] are. Thank you. Now, back to level four, [5:14] there are a lot of characters that fit [5:16] in here. I would include the likes of [5:17] Midoriya and some of his strongest [5:18] classmates from My Hero Academia, Gon [5:21] and Killua from Hunter x Hunter, and the [5:22] Straw Hat Pirates pre-time skip, [5:24] emphasis on pre-time skip, from One [5:26] Piece. [5:28] Level five, planet busters. As we move [5:30] further and further into our more [5:32] powerful characters, level five is where [5:34] things really get serious. Whereas these [5:35] characters are not on universal [5:37] destruction or even god level, this is [5:39] where we first get into our planet [5:40] busters. These characters are on the [5:42] power level of threatening planetary [5:43] destruction. From attacks so fast they [5:45] can't be observed by the human eye. To [5:47] durability so fortified they could have [5:49] buildings crash down on them and still [5:50] come out scratch free. To strength so [5:52] large it's planet busting. Despite all [5:54] this hyping up, these characters are on [5:56] level five for a reason and not higher. [5:57] Despite how crazy it sounds, there are [5:59] larger tests of strengths out there than [6:01] the ability to destroy a singular [6:02] planet. These characters still have [6:04] limits. Whether it be stamina, [6:05] abilities, or just straight up skill, [6:07] there are still levels to this. The [6:09] characters the front man for this level [6:10] is six path sage mode Naruto and [6:12] Rinnegan Sasuke. Basically the strongest [6:15] version of these characters from [6:16] Shippuden. Hyped up on insane levels of [6:18] nine tail chakra from the strongest of [6:20] the tailed beast, as well as the six [6:21] paths sage mode granted by one of the [6:23] Naruto versus most powerful beings. [6:26] Alongside a Sasuke who has access to the [6:27] Rinnegan, the most powerful of the [6:29] Uchiha jutsu, as well as his perfect [6:31] Susanoo, a giant power ranger type robot [6:34] looking suit made out of pure energy. [6:36] These two fight and beat what is [6:37] essentially the god level being in their [6:39] own verse. Now alongside them, I want to [6:41] throw in Krillin from Dragon Ball Super [6:42] specifically into this tier. Whoa, whoa, [6:44] whoa. Stop yelling and stop typing out [6:46] that hate comment and listen. I know [6:48] those of you who haven't seen Dragon [6:50] Ball, or maybe even some of you who [6:51] have, are fuming. Krillin? The human [6:53] with no transformations? The one who is [6:55] essentially the laughing stock of the [6:57] Dragon Ball verse? Behind Yamcha? Yep, [6:59] the Dragon Ball universe in general is [7:01] just on a whole 'nother level of power. [7:03] Even all the way back to the beginning [7:04] of Dragon Ball Z, we had characters on [7:06] this planetary level. Vegeta, Nappa are [7:08] obvious examples, but look even just at [7:10] Piccolo here who is weaker than Goku. He [7:12] destroys the moon with one key blast [7:14] just to stop Gohan's transformation. Now [7:16] many people point out this scene as [7:17] being an outlier in early Dragon Ball [7:19] power leveling, and that's probably [7:21] true. But this was still early Dragon [7:22] Ball Z where everyone was way weaker [7:24] than they are now. Krillin has spent his [7:26] whole life training, minus some years he [7:27] took off for police officer duty, but [7:29] he's still strong enough to keep up with [7:31] base form Goku way later on in Dragon [7:33] Ball Super. He's also chosen as one of [7:34] the 10 strongest Universe 7 fighters for [7:36] the Tournament of Power, and he's not [7:38] even the weakest in that lineup. And if [7:39] we want to talk abilities, Krillin has [7:41] arguably the most hacks ability in all [7:43] of Dragon Ball. That being the Kienzan [7:45] or Destructo Disc. Most energy blasts in [7:47] Dragon Ball are about overwhelming your [7:48] opponent with immense amounts of ki. [7:50] Krillin's just slices you in half, even [7:51] opponents multiple times stronger than [7:53] him. Just look at Vegeta telling Nappa [7:55] not to get hit by this blast, even [7:56] though Nappa was toying with him just [7:58] seconds before. I will say that the [7:59] opponent can't be way out of his league, [8:01] or the blast will have no effect on [8:02] their strong, thick, [8:04] meaty perfect [8:08] uh um neck. Also, Frieza in the Namek [8:11] saga destroyed the planet in the [8:13] infamous five-minute scene, and [8:14] modern-day Krillin is immensely more [8:16] powerful than that. Even humans in the [8:18] Dragon Ball franchise grow at [8:19] exponential rates when it comes to their [8:21] power. [8:22] Level six, universal threats. On to our [8:24] sixth level here, we have universal [8:26] threats. Despite this level's name [8:28] sounding ominous, it just means these [8:30] characters have the power to destroy [8:31] universes if they so desire. When it [8:33] comes to fights, these characters are [8:35] undoubtedly the best in their field. [8:36] Now, I hear you saying, "But this is [8:38] only level six. What do you mean by [8:39] that?" Well, you'll see when we move on. [8:41] From speed so fast fighters look like [8:43] they're standing still, to durability so [8:45] stable they could be crushed in between [8:46] planets, and I would feel sorry for the [8:48] planets, to strength so powerful they [8:50] could destroy entire planets with [8:52] singular punches, we are truly at the [8:54] universal level of power. My choice for [8:56] this tier is Goku and Vegeta from Dragon [8:58] Ball. I swear I could have a Dragon Ball [8:59] character for every level. These [9:01] characters don't need introductions. [9:03] They have fights so intense they destroy [9:05] planets. Abilities so busted they have [9:07] multiple transformations that multiply [9:09] their power. Not just add on to it, [9:11] multiply. They're at the point in Dragon [9:13] Ball Super where they're fighting, [9:14] training, and learning from literal gods [9:16] and angels. From Ultra Instinct, an [9:18] ability that allows Goku to dodge [9:20] attacks subconsciously, to Ultra Ego, an [9:22] ability that allows Vegeta to get [9:24] stronger when he takes more damage, to a [9:26] genuine love for the game that allows [9:27] them to devote their whole lives to [9:28] fighting, these two are perfect examples [9:30] for peak warriors. There are a lot more [9:32] Dragon Ball characters I could put on [9:34] this level, so I'll restrain in that [9:35] sense. Other characters I have on this [9:37] tier are Kaguya Otsutsuki from Naruto, [9:39] Sung Jinwoo from Solo Leveling, and [9:41] Saitama from One Punch Man. [9:44] Level seven, omnipotence. And here we [9:46] are at the peak of our climb with level [9:48] seven, omnipotence. At the start of each [9:51] level I've gone on and on about all the [9:52] things that show these characters power, [9:54] speed, durability, strength, and such. [9:57] Well, characters on this level are above [9:58] those metrics. What is speed when you [10:00] can be wherever you want, whenever you [10:02] want? What is durability when no one can [10:04] hurt you? What is strength when you [10:05] don't even need to punch? My lead [10:07] example for this level is none other [10:09] than Zeno from Dragon Ball Super. Beerus [10:11] is a god of destruction. Whis is an [10:13] angel guardian. The Grand Minister, [10:15] stronger than all of them, is the [10:16] personal aid to Zeno. Zeno is a small [10:19] child-like being. Yet, in his presence, [10:21] these characters quake in fear. Zeno's [10:23] fearsome power can be seen multiple [10:24] times throughout Dragon Ball Super. From [10:26] erasing multiple universes during the [10:28] Tournament of Power to erasing universes [10:30] overrun with evil, all Zeno has to do is [10:32] lift both his hands. Other characters [10:35] that belong on this level include the [10:36] Truth from Fullmetal Alchemist, Kami [10:38] Tenchi from Tenchi Muyo, and the [10:40] Anti-Spiral from Gurren Lagann. Now, I [10:42] haven't seen every anime. There's plenty [10:43] of characters out there that I missed. [10:45] Tell me where your favorites would fit [10:46] in in the comments down below.
