## Summary

This video offers a comprehensive guide to making gold with leatherworking in World of Warcraft: Midnight, covering profession equipment, specializations, and money-making crafts. The creator shares tips on mass crafting, stat priority between multicraft and resourcefulness, and realistic expectations for profit margins.

### Key Points

- **Best Methods Overview** [00:01] — The video promises to show the best ways to make gold with leatherworking, including profession equipment, specializations, and real money-maker crafts.
- **Free Spreadsheet Announced** [00:14] — A free crafting gold-making spreadsheet is available in the creator's community Discord, with the link in the description.
- **Leatherworking Crafts Overview** [00:27] — Leatherworking offers reagents, drums, leg armor kits, and armor (leather and mail). The creator prefers mass crafting over orders.
- **Reagent Count Reduction** [01:11] — Midnight reduces reagents to four (down from five or six in The War Within), which may impact crafting depth.
- **Drums Profit Potential** [01:25] — Drums are a good seller but use no leatherworking reagents, so margins are tight. Creator made 50-100g per craft in The War Within.
- **Armor Kit Integration** [02:06] — Armor kits use crafted reagents (Synindor Armor Bandings, Infused Scale Woven Hide), offering better profit potential than drums.
- **Leatherworking Tier Ranking** [02:44] — The creator ranks leatherworking low for mass crafting due to few reagent/consumable options, but it's good for gear crafting due to many armor types.
- **Stat Priority for Mass Crafting** [03:10] — For mass crafting, prioritize multicraft over everything else. For gear crafting, prioritize resourcefulness to save materials.
- **Resourcefulness for Gear Crafters** [04:08] — Resourcefulness gives a chance to save materials on crafting orders, generating extra gold on top of fees.
- **Concentration and Ingenuity** [04:22] — Concentration is considered bad for leatherworking due to lack of attractive concentration crafts. The creator advises against a concentration build.
- **Profession Tree Strategy** [05:18] — The profession tree requires 15 points in the top node (ingenuity) to unlock multicraft or resourcefulness nodes. Rushing multicraft for reagents is recommended.
- **Flawless Forge Tree** [06:41] — This tree increases skill for reagents and profession equipment. Skip the profession equipment node unless specializing in that area.
- **Point Efficiency Tips** [07:35] — Prioritize nodes that give stats before skill nodes. Unlock sub-specializations for recipes but delay filling them until top nodes are maxed.
- **Safeguarding Scales Tree** [08:52] — This tree is straightforward: max the node for the specific armor piece you want to craft (e.g., boots) to guarantee max skill crafts.
- **Real Money Makers** [09:20] — Reagents (uncommon and rare), armor kits, and drums are the main money makers. Crafting orders for gear also provide steady income.
- **Crafting Orders Potential** [10:16] — Crafting orders for leveling gear and profession equipment (especially epic quality) can be profitable. Cross-realm crafting is also viable.

### Conclusion

Leatherworking in Midnight may not be the top goldmaker, but it offers steady income from reagents, armor kits, and gear crafting orders. Focus on multicraft for mass production or resourcefulness for gear crafting to optimize profits.

## Transcript

And in today's video, I'm going to show you the best ways to make gold with leather working. We're going to go through the best profession equipment to use, the best specializations, and also what crafts will be the real money
makers. But before we continue, I just quickly want to say that I will have a completely free crafting gold making spreadsheet in my community Discord. You can go ahead and find the link in the description. Much love. But let's
couple of things that you can do. You have the reagents that you can craft. You of course have the iconic drums that has been in the game forever. You have the leg armor kits and you also have a lot of armor that you can craft. I would
the best professions in terms of crafting gear because it has so much options to craft both the leather armor and the male armor and like it's so many also do have the professional equipment of course that is also going to be a
strong thing here in Midnight. But looking at the things that I am most interested in of course is mass crafting and not crafting orders for other people. So I'm mostly interested in crafting stuff like reagents and the
consumables. So looking at the reagents this time around they have actually decreased the amount of reagents we have. We have four different reagents now. I think in the war within we had five or six. We do have the drum, as I
said, which is going to be a good seller. However, one thing that is kind of sad for the drums is that it is using no leather working reagents. So, you're any like compound effects here, like crafting your own reagents to then put
into the drums. They are just base materials that you can just buy off the auction house, and that is the cheapest way that you can craft them. This one will definitely drop in margins quite fast and be pretty tight in terms of
gold making. Same as it was in the war within. I still did craft quite a lot of them in the war within for like a 10% margin because they were quite highly priced. So you were still cutting like between 50 and 100 gold each depending
And they were selling quite well which they are going to do again but probably not going to cut you the most amount of gold per craft sadly. Looking at the armor kits, however, here we have at least some integration that we can do.
We have the synindor armor bandings and we do have the infused scale woven hide. For the armor kits, we can at least craft some of our own reagents to make them, which is really nice. Probably going to be able to make some nice
profit on these armor kits. I hope. Leatherworking is not a profession that I've personally put high up on the tier list because I think it's going to be kind of meh. Honestly, in terms of mass crafting, if you do gear crafting for
good because, as I said, you have a lot of alternatives, but in terms of reagents and consumables and stuff, it's not really that much. And I think the margins is going to go quite bad quite fast. Same as it was in the war within.
However, this time around, it's a little bit harder at least to max quality rank the reagents, I think. So, hopefully that can make them a bit more stable. equipment that we need for leather working. So, as we know, if a craft can
multicraft, we need to be absolutely minmaxed on multicraft. It's going to be the outstanding stat if we can multicraft. And you can see in the crafting details right here, if there is a multicraft in the crafting details,
the item can multicraft when you craft it. And then you need to prioritize multicraft over everything else. So for crafting reagents and the consumables, armor kits and stuff, we're going to of course want to minmax multicraft and
well. So make sure you get the best possible quality and the best possible be doing crafting because it's going to be really important to all the time stay minmaxed. If you're looking to be a gear crafter for other people, of course,
gear crafting. So then you're going to want to max out with resourcefulness. So then you get a tool with resourcefulness and shaunted with resourcefulness instead. So you minmax that if you're a gear crafter because then you have a
chance to save materials on craft and even if you do crafting orders for other people if you hit the resourcess proc on the craft that you do for other people, you are saving the crafted materials. So that's one way that you will make some
extra gold on top of the fees that you take that you will resourcess proc and maybe sometimes save those expensive materials that you then can sell on the minimaxed on that. In terms of concentration and ingenuity, I think
it's going to be one of the worst professions because there isn't really any attractive crafts that you can do with concentration and save a lot of going to be pretty bad. I'm not fully sure but it looks like it. though having
any kind of concentration build in your leather worker I don't think is any crafts with like concentration with your multicraft setup etc that you're going to do of course to increase your margins whenever you can but uh focusing on like
an alt leather working for concentration I think is going to be generally really recommendation so I would just go with multicraft or resourcefulness I think okay but let's have a look at the profession three here in leworking It's
was in the war within. It's pretty straightforward. You have the learned basically is going to give you all of the crafting stats that you need. In the top node, you get a lot of ingenuity, which we don't really like. We don't
before, I think concentration is going to be bad, but we're sadly going to have to put 15 points into this node so we can learn the multicraft node here to the right, which we absolutely going to want to rush to get maxed out if you're
going to do any reagent crafting. The resourcefulness node here to the left is what you're going to want to rush if you only do gear crafting. But if you do multicraft and then rush resourcefulness. So 30 points in
mastering multiccraft, 30 in the resourceness, and you're sadly going to otherwise you can't unlock both of them, right? So that will be a total of 75 points, but then you will be pretty much maxed in terms of stats for your crafts.
something that you're going to be able to do very early if you're doing this in doing this in the beginning of midnight, you're going to easily be able to do this in just one day of playing. Like you're going to be able to get 75
you have these notes, as I said, you're fully maxed on the stats. You can get concentration, but this is something that I would prioritize absolutely last think it's going to be bad. But let's look at the flawless forge tree here
increase your skill for crafting reagents and stuff. So, this is the second important tree. This node here is going to increase your skill of crafting profession equipment. So, if you're into
that, go ahead and get this node. But if you're not into that, completely skip this node. Complete waste of points. So do not go into this node. Pretty much here in flawless force is going to be 10 points into this. You can unlock your
subsp specialization, which is going to unlock the commanding commodities. And this one, you can immediately go into one of the subsp specializations here. If you're into making armor kits, you're going to want to go into crucial
consumables. If you're into making the reagents, you go for the brimming optional reagents, you go into notes is only going to give you skill. So, it's only needed when you're going
to craft quality two stuff. So, in the beginning, like before you can craft quality two, there's not really any need to feel like you have to rush this because until you're maxed in all of it, you can't craft rank two either way,
guaranteed without concentration. So, this node here is giving you some stats. five resource here and five resource here. So, this node is something that you can go into first if you want to because it's actually giving you some
stats. So, it's better to go into this before filling out, for example, this because this only gives you skill, right? So, I would prioritize finishing getting the max stats out of it before you go into the next node that gives you
a lot of skill because you're still going to need this node maxed to be able to quality to craft anything. So it's the points here in this crucial consumables for example is just wasted until you have maxed both nodes here in
the top. And since they are giving you a little bit of stats, it is better to prioritize both here. Just know that you should definitely like unlock this one because you get a recipe here, the blood knight's armor kit. So don't sleep on
just unlocking it, but then you can prioritize the top nodes first because either way. And same with this one. It's going to learn you the devouring one too unclear. It's a little bit
messy, but just prioritize top node, second node, and then the third node for whatever you want to craft. So, the safeguarding scales tree here is for the straightforward. For example, if you want to be able to craft the boots, you
just go max into the boots and fill everything out so you can craft them guaranteed at max skill. So, it's very straightforward. just go into the piece And you get a recipe here in the start of every single node. And it's just
lasting leather, but for the leather armor. So that is really straightforward as well. Then we're here at what crafts I think is going to be the real money makers in leather working. And as I've been saying, I think all of the reagents
is going to be able to make you some gold. Probably the uncommon ones might probably is going to be able to net you a little bit of gold, which is nice. If check those out, but make sure you are maxed on multicraft and also
resourcefulness. The drums is also going to be something that can make you gold. throughout the entire expansion. But as I said earlier, probably going towards the slimmer margins and that is maybe something that I expect all around with
leather working that the margins might not stay the best cuz it feels a little bit too easy. But we will see where it lands. It might have more potential than it did in the war within or maybe not cuz a bit of fewer crafts. But I still
think it seems a little bit harder to max stuff. So I have hopes that it's least. And then same with the armor kits. They are going to be used a lot of well because I think they're going to be making gold. Then of course all of the
make gold with crafting orders in the entire expansion if that is what you like to do. It's going to be really simple. Everybody basically needs straightforward. They are always going to be selling in some way or another.
You of course also can go into crossrem selling or just selling on your realm something that I like to do. If you know, I'm quite big into the cross realm stuff, like crossrem flipping and crafting. So, I will definitely later on
check out crafting, like all of the different leveling gears for a lot of different realms and try to rake in some profit that way. That I did in the war within and it seemed to work out pretty good. Same of course goes with the green
profession equipment and the blue equipment, of course, making crafting orders for other people and the purple ones as well. I'm not sure if this is going to be in the game on launch or not. It's starting to look like it. I
have been a doubter. I don't understand why the epic equipment is in the game from the start since it is really easy to craft them. If they are, you should really try to prioritize getting the epic equipment and not the blue because
the epic is just better. Even though they are a bit more expensive to make, they're just way better. So, keep that in mind when you're building out your equipment for your character. I hope you learned something about leather working
