[0:09] storytelling within the game in fact the
[0:11] world is so full of that law that
[0:13] sometimes it can be a bit overwhelming
[0:15] so for that reason the aim of this video
[0:17] is to provide a summary of the law
[0:19] behind the World of Warcraft up to the
[0:21] beginning of the world Soul Saga we'll
[0:23] cover stories from the origins of the
[0:25] universe the great sundering and the war
[0:27] of the Ancients all the way to
[0:29] significant events like the fall of the
[0:31] Lich King and the rediscovery of the
[0:33] Dragon ises so sit back grab a pint of
[0:36] Thunder brw out and get ready for a
[0:38] summary of the law of World of Warcraft
[0:41] for many of us the story of World of
[0:43] Warcraft begins in the 25th year on the
[0:46] universe's timeline when us adventurers
[0:49] were Unleashed across Azeroth for others
[0:51] it started on the very first year of the
[0:53] timeline when the orcish horde traveled
[0:55] through the dark portal and raided the
[0:57] kingdom of Stormwind however as we know
[1:00] this wasn't the beginning of the
[1:01] warcraft story with the timeline split
[1:04] into two sections the period of time
[1:06] before the dark portal and then the
[1:07] period After the Dark Portal there are
[1:10] hundreds of thousands of years of law
[1:12] predating the modern events that us
[1:14] adventurers have experienced so on that
[1:16] note let's start at the very beginning
[1:19] the origins of the universe the warcraft
[1:22] Universe can be explained using this
[1:24] diagram which illustrates all Cosmic
[1:26] forces and the entities born from them
[1:28] within the game here we need to focus on
[1:30] two primary energies the light and the
[1:33] void initially light expanded throughout
[1:36] the endless universe as it spread
[1:38] pockets of nothingness formed giving
[1:40] rise to its opposite the void which
[1:43] sought to consume the light their Cosmic
[1:46] battle caused catastrophic explosions
[1:48] leading to the formation of the warcraft
[1:50] Universe the Great Dark Beyond as these
[1:53] energies clashed matter merged into
[1:55] primordial Worlds the most unstable of
[1:58] these energies created the twi exting
[2:00] nether an astral Dimension linked to the
[2:02] Great Dark Beyond but existing outside
[2:04] of the physical Universe alongside this
[2:07] shards of light scattered across the
[2:09] Great Dark Beyond and spread life across
[2:11] these newly formed planets some of the
[2:13] first life forms created were Elemental
[2:15] beings of fire water Earth and air
[2:18] occasionally light shards formed
[2:20] powerful beings like the Naru who used
[2:23] holy magic to nurture life and even more
[2:25] extraordinary the light would coales
[2:27] into beings known as the Titans whose
[2:30] Spirits called world souls formed within
[2:33] the cores of certain planets these
[2:35] Titans slumbered for ages their energies
[2:38] spreading across their planets some of
[2:40] these Titans eventually awoke as
[2:42] Celestial beings with the first Aman
[2:44] Thal driven by a belief that more of his
[2:47] kind existed he searched the Great Dark
[2:49] Beyond and successfully found other
[2:51] Titan world souls once more Titans had
[2:54] risen from their slumbering state
[2:56] together they formed the pantheon a
[2:58] group of Titans dedicated ated to
[3:00] shaping Worlds overseeing the universe
[3:02] and seeking out more Titan world souls
[3:05] however as we know where there is light
[3:07] there is also Darkness from the very
[3:10] moment the cosmos began dark Spirits
[3:12] known as the void Lords sought to twist
[3:15] reality into eternal torment envious of
[3:18] the pantheon and their abilities the
[3:20] void Lords aimed to corrupt a Titan
[3:22] unable to manifest physically in the
[3:24] Great Dark beyond their energies warped
[3:26] some of the new life forms throughout
[3:28] the Universe targeting slumbering Titans
[3:31] the void Lords hurled dark creatures
[3:33] Across the Universe hoping to hit a
[3:35] world Soul these creatures became known
[3:37] as the old gods the Titans were aware of
[3:39] these void energies but not of the Void
[3:42] Lords or the old gods and they were more
[3:44] focused on a more important and Sinister
[3:46] threat forming in the universe the
[3:48] demons in the twisting nether who were
[3:50] set on destroying all life these demons
[3:53] fueled by their Furious passions
[3:55] recklessly explored their powers many
[3:58] indulged in fell magic breach the
[4:00] physical universe and wreaking havoc on
[4:02] Mortal worlds these demons took various
[4:04] forms from two-headed void hounds to
[4:07] monstrous infernals mindless fusions of
[4:10] matter and fell energy among the more
[4:12] cunning demons were the Nath resim also
[4:14] known as dread Lords from the
[4:16] shadowlands a hellish realm that existed
[4:18] alongside the physical universe and a
[4:20] place for The Souls of the Dead who had
[4:22] passed on from the world of the living
[4:24] we will come back to the shadowlands
[4:25] later in this tale these masters of
[4:27] Shadow Magic the Naim could cross
[4:29] crossed the barrier into the worlds of
[4:31] the Great Dark Beyond and they began
[4:33] infiltrating mortal societies sowing
[4:35] Discord and transforming innocence into
[4:38] demons the pantheon aware of these
[4:40] demonic invasions feared that they would
[4:42] interfere with their mission to find and
[4:44] awaken other world souls so they sent
[4:46] their Greatest Warrior sargeras to purge
[4:48] the universe of demonic influence as he
[4:51] vowed to cleanse creation of these
[4:53] chaotic beings sagaris ventured into the
[4:55] Great Dark witnessing civilizations
[4:58] destroyed and inhabitants to turned into

[5:02] despite their vast numbers the
[5:03] disorganized demons were no match for
[5:05] the Titan and he slaughtered countless
[5:07] foes on his Divine Mission he discovered
[5:10] some demons wielded void energies
[5:13] revealing the existence of the Void
[5:15] Lords and the corruption they were
[5:16] capable of troubled by this news he
[5:19] continued on with his War allowing the
[5:21] pantheon to continue their search for
[5:23] nent Titans realizing demons were reborn
[5:26] in the twisting nether after death
[5:28] sagaris created the prison Adam to
[5:30] contain them permanently with agar's
[5:32] assistance they fought demons for
[5:34] Millennia saris discovered a world
[5:36] consumed by void energies where old gods
[5:39] had corrupted a slumbering Titan
[5:40] learning from theth regime the void
[5:42] Lords aimed to corrupt the Titan into an
[5:44] Unstoppable force sargeras in fear and
[5:48] rage destroyed the world and the nent
[5:51] Titan within it to prevent its
[5:52] corruption returning to the pantheon

[5:57] actions they believed the Titan could
[5:59] have been saved but sagaris fearing void
[6:02] corruption suggested that destroying all
[6:04] creation to stop the void Lords was the

[6:09] helping him opposed him urging a
[6:11] different solution feeling betrayed by
[6:13] the other Titans sagaris left the
[6:15] pantheon choosing a path of Destruction
[6:18] to save the universe from the

[6:22] develop and Elemental spirits of fire
[6:25] earth air and water waged apocalyptic
[6:28] battles on its surface each element was
[6:30] ruled by a powerful Lord alakia ragnaros
[6:33] thezan and neptulon who all struggled
[6:36] for dominance in a chaotic cycle the old
[6:39] gods yashar cun yaron and Nao arrived on
[6:43] the planet and corrupted Azeroth they
[6:45] set about their task by creating the
[6:47] faceless ones and the AKA they built the
[6:50] black Empire and Enslaved the elemental
[6:52] Lords causing endless suffering on the
[6:55] planet while aiming to corrupt azeroth's
[6:57] slumbering World soul to combat the
[6:59] corruption the pantheon created Titan
[7:01] forged constructs known as the keepers
[7:04] to restore the order amanul empowered
[7:06] the high keeper raah and keeper Odin
[7:08] kazgaroth gave his skills to the keeper
[7:10] aradus ganth granted storm Dominion to
[7:13] keeper thorium and hodia Iona gave
[7:16] keeper Freer control of azeroth's Flora
[7:18] and FAA nanon shared his intellect with
[7:21] Keepers lokin and mimon and agramar
[7:23] imparted strength and courage to the
[7:25] keeper Tia The Greatest Warrior among
[7:27] them together they crafted the Forge of
[7:29] wells and the forge of origination to
[7:32] stabilize Azeroth creating new life
[7:34] forms and reshaping the world the
[7:36] keepers then used the forges to create
[7:38] the Titan forged and with their new
[7:40] armies they launched a successful
[7:42] campaign against the old gods and their
[7:44] minion the keepers and the Titan forged
[7:46] launched a successful campaign against
[7:48] the old gods and their minions
[7:50] imprisoning the elemental Lords but when
[7:52] the Titans attacked yashar Raj they
[7:55] discovered a grim fact Aman thul reached
[7:57] down to the Skies of Azeroth and he the
[7:59] old God yashar from the planet but by
[8:02] doing so he inadvertently ripped open a
[8:05] wound in azeroth's surface and the world
[8:07] Soul's Arcane lifeblood flowed to the
[8:09] surface it was then that the pantheon
[8:11] realized that the old gods had embedded
[8:14] themselves so deep that they could not
[8:15] be slain without destroying Azeroth
[8:17] itself and instead they resolved to
[8:19] imprison the remaining three old gods
[8:21] rather than killing them outright once
[8:23] the old gods had been imprisoned
[8:25] together they managed to stabilize
[8:27] azeroth's wound transforming it Into The
[8:29] Well of Eternity a lake of scintillating
[8:32] Arcane energies and Limitless power that
[8:34] would accelerate growth of life on the
[8:36] planet's surface though the black Empire
[8:38] had been defeated its corruption left
[8:40] lasting scars the keepers continued
[8:43] their quest to help Azeroth and created
[8:45] various titanforged beings and set up
[8:47] new sanctuaries including ulo and Alam
[8:51] to maintain balance and oversee the
[8:53] world despite their best efforts not all
[8:55] life forming on the planet would be
[8:57] peaceful a Proto dragon named galacon
[9:00] became a threat galacon was defeated by
[9:03] the forces of other Proto dragons and
[9:05] the Titan Keepers chose five of them to
[9:07] empower alextraza Naran malagos isera
[9:11] and nozdormu turning them into the

[9:43] Universe was irredeemable and resolved
[9:46] to destroy all creation to stop the void
[9:48] Lords beginning the burning Crusade
[9:51] sarara sought power from Madam the plane
[9:53] of banishment that he had created
[9:55] Millennia ago filled with fell energy
[9:57] and Demons by shattering during Mam's
[10:00] prison he Unleashed fell energy that
[10:01] transformed him into a being of pure
[10:04] hatred this act tore the veil between
[10:06] the Great Dark Beyond and the twisting
[10:08] nether flooding the universe with demons
[10:11] these demons United under sargeras
[10:14] formed the burning Legion the legion's
[10:16] first Target was a Titan shaped world
[10:18] and they devastated its civilizations
[10:21] when the conell overseeing the World
[10:23] arrived sargeras killed it agrar
[10:25] confronted sargeras demanding an
[10:27] explanation sargeras declared his plan
[10:30] to purify the universe through complete
[10:32] destruction agramar challenged him but
[10:34] despite fighting valiantly he was
[10:36] outmatched by saris' fell magic wounded
[10:39] agramar retreated to the pantheon the
[10:41] Titans shocked by saris' betrayal
[10:43] prepared to confront him the pantheon
[10:46] and sargeras battled near a planet named
[10:48] nilum and they struggled against
[10:50] sargeras's fell fueled might sargeras
[10:53] then Unleashed a f storm to destroy them
[10:55] but nanon used Arcane energies to
[10:57] protect the Titan's spirit launching
[10:59] their Spirits into the Great Dark Beyond

[11:07] turned his attention to finding and
[11:09] conquering Azeroth before the void Lords

[11:13] sought to strengthen his demon Army
[11:15] realizing their lack of strategic
[11:17] thinking as a weakness to address this
[11:19] issue he identified a race known as the
[11:21] erida who were native to the planet
[11:23] Argus as ideal beings to be his

[11:28] killed Jaden and and Von were hyper
[11:30] intelligent beings sargeras disguised as
[11:33] a radiant being promised them knowledge

[16:34] by the name of Deathwing fled leaving
[16:37] his black dragon flight nearly extinct
[16:39] deathwing's betrayal during the war of
[16:41] the ancient devastated the night elves
[16:43] and then idan's mysterious disappearance
[16:46] only added to their despair in reality
[16:49] Idan had deserted the resistance his
[16:51] rivalry with his brother malfurion
[16:53] rejection by teranda Whisper wind and
[16:55] manipulation by the SATA xavius drove
[16:58] him to seek power with the legion Idan
