## Summary

This video tests the viability of arbitrage betting in today's market, concluding that while the math behind it is sound, the edge has been killed by high-frequency bots and sportsbook limits. The creator then demonstrates that the real opportunity has shifted to plus EV betting in thin, niche markets where bots don't operate, and shows how to find these opportunities using automated tools.

### Key Points

- **Testing Arbitrage Betting** [00:00] — The creator tests arbitrage betting live for one hour using a scanner across multiple platforms, finding that despite real guaranteed edges, net profit was $0 due to bots and limits.
- **Example of an Arbitrage Opportunity** [01:09] — A specific arb example: Hard Rock under 0.53 at -130 and Zovid over at +170, splitting $100 60-40 yields $106.88, a 6.88% risk-free profit, highlighting the theoretical appeal.
- **Bots Eat the Edge** [02:01] — A 3.79% arb appeared but liquidity on one side was under $1, consumed by bots before human reaction. Kalshi data shows 29 trades per second with 10ms gaps, proving machine dominance.
- **Sportsbook Limits Cap Profits** [03:16] — The best arb of the day (6.88%) was capped by Hard Rock at a max bet of $4.30, yielding only 29 cents. Sportsbooks limit profitable bettors quickly, making arbing unscalable.
- **Edge Moves to Thin Markets** [04:28] — The edge has shifted from deep markets (bot-infested) to thin markets with low liquidity, where bots can't operate profitably. Example: a tennis market with only $51 liquidity, where a $39 bet moved the price 4 cents.
- **Plus EV Betting in Thin Markets** [06:27] — In thin markets, you can find plus EV bets (prices wrong vs sharp books). A tennis bet with 26.9% EV made $6.39 in seconds, more than the entire hour of arbing.
- **Thin Alone Isn't Enough** [08:15] — A thin market only pays if real sharp books are pricing it. The stream compares prices to sharp book fair value (de-vigged) to identify plus EV opportunities.
- **Demo of Plus EV Sniper Tool** [09:16] — Upside.Tools' Plus EV Sniper scans niche markets (e.g., stolen bases, pitcher strikeouts) showing plus EV plays with low liquidity, like a $1,500 Novig bet vs half odds elsewhere.
- **Three Steps Before Betting** [11:49] — 1) Pick thin markets in niche sports (tennis, college props, esports). 2) Check fair price against sharp books; if you can't name it, you have no edge. 3) Bet small (0.5% of bankroll) to test long-term.

### Conclusion

Arbitrage betting is dead for retail bettors due to bots and limits, but the edge has moved to plus EV betting in thin, niche markets where bots don't operate. Using automated scanners and betting small can unlock consistent profits.

## Transcript

I wanted to know if arbitrage betting was actually legit. You've seen the videos. Risk-free money, bet those sides of the same game, and profit no matter what. Math doesn't lie, right?
So, I tested it. One hour, live. Every pregame arb my scanner could find across Calci, Polymarket, Novig, ProfitX, and even some sportsbooks. I even properly sized them, located them, and even had one quick betting to my advantage.
One hour guaranteed Rift Free Profit came out to be $0 and total profit in one hour wasted. And here's the thing, the math was never wrong. Every R by click was real guaranteed edge.
Arbitrage isn't fake necessarily, it's just dead. And those two things are different. By the end of this video, you'll know exactly what killed it and where the edge moved. Because honestly, this new edge paid me more than Arby ever did.
Real quick so that we're all on the same page. Arbitrage betting in ARB is when two books disagree hard enough about the same bet that you can take both sides and lock in a profit either way.
This was the best one my scanner found during the test. Hard Rock has Angel Reef under .53 at minus 130. Zovid had the over at plus 170. Split your money 60-40.
$60.41 on the under and $39.59 on the over. And either way, you collect $106.88 on $100 state.
That's $6.88 in risk-free profit, right? Keep in mind, that's also 6.88% in one night. The S&P does 10% in a year on average. On paper, this is the closest thing to free money that exists in betting.
Five years ago, people genuinely built bankrolls doing exactly this. So with an hour full of these kinds of opportunities, how did I end with $0 in net profit? And there are actually two reasons.
I watched those happen in real time. This popped up mid-test. A 3.79% ARB, both sides on exchanges, real guaranteed profit. Look at the liquidity on the under, however.
$0. That's under $1. There was less than $1 of it left when my stream refreshed. And keep in mind, my stream refreshes every second. Somebody ate this trade before a human could even react, and I can prove who.
Because Kalshi's trade API is public. This is one Kalshi market this afternoon. 14,698 trades in 8 and a half minutes. That's 29 trades per second.
The median gap between trades is literally 10 milliseconds. Go ahead and try to click twice in 10 milliseconds. Those aren't people, though. Those are machines trading with machines. And when a real gap opens anywhere bots patrol, an order is already sitting there waiting for it.
And this day and age in AI is only going to get faster. So I know what you thinking I just need faster bots and faster software right No And this is the part nobody says out loud You cannot out every single machine you against Speed is simply their edge Finding number two The ARBs you can bet
you can barely bet. That beautiful 6.88% Angel Reef ARB, it was sitting right there. Real liquidity, and I went to put $100 on it. Hard Rock said no. Why is that? My wager exceeds the maximum bet I'm
allowed. My max bet is $4.30 because Hard Rock limited me a long time ago for winning too much, like they do to every profitable sports bettor, usually within days. I actually recently showed
a friend how to ARB and he lasted an entire weekend on Hard Rock before being banned. So go ahead, run my math on the best ARB of the day. 6.88% of $4.30 is 29 cents.
There is my risk-free money, 29 cents, and an account they've already flagged. Gone in milliseconds or capped to pocket change, those are your options. And that's exactly how an hour of guaranteed profit adds up to less than a sandwich.
I mean, think about it. That was the most profitable hour for an entire hour, and it paid 29 cents. I would be lucky if I made $10 in an hour. The arbitrage sports betting strategy at this point just doesn't seem scalable.
And yes, the reality is if you live in a state with access to a ton of different sports books, you can ARB and ARB with max limits, but only for a limited amount of time. Fandle, known to be one of the sharper books and not limit as hard,
still limits you to less than $50 for the sharpest of sports bettors. And I hate to break it to you, but these sports books are only going to get sharper. Let's take a look at the liquidity on this no big line.
$227 total. That's the most money this market will even accept. And that's why the edge still exists right here. A bot is an engineering project. Servers, co-location, developers.
A machine that can only extract a couple hundred bucks from a market that doesn't pay for itself. So the bots simply don't show up because it's not worth their time. The people who build these bots need size, and thin markets can't give it to them.
The industry word for that is also known as liquidity. how much money a market can absorb. And low liquidity is bot repellent. Here's a market on the exact same exchange. The Atlanta-Washington game market.
Let's take a look. A trade every five minutes. The median gap between trades, 56 seconds. That's comparatively to 10 milliseconds over on the market we were looking at earlier.
The bots simply aren't in this market because there's nothing in it. Nothing big enough to feed the big fish. So the edge didn't die, it moved. Out of the deep markets where the machines are fed,
into the thin ones where they can't follow, nor do they want to. And in those markets, you're not hunting arbitrage anymore. You're hunting something better. Positive expected value otherwise known as plus EV Betting a price that simply wrong against the sharpest books on earth say it should be One side not both sides like an arc And no not a bot race So the edge lives in thin markets
And let me show you what thin actually means, because I don't think the number lands until you actually see it. This was a tennis match on Cal Sheets. Look at the liquidity on the best price, That's $51. That's not $51,000. That is the entire amount of money available at that price.
And I bet $39 of it. And watch what my $39 did. The price on the stream was minus $142. And then once I was able to enter it, my average bill came back at minus $167.
$39 moved the entire market four cents. Just to be clear, that doesn't happen with major league sports market. Now go back to those bots for a second. 29 trace a second. That's 10 millisecond
gap. That whole operation exists to move millions of dollars through markets where nobody notices. Now point those bots at a machine in a market where $39 moves the price 4 cents and it has
nowhere to put its money. It can't get in without becoming the price. So when the bots aren't looking at prices like these, it just sits there and allows me to take advantage. Because guess what? $39 to make a bet that is incredibly plus easy is still worth it in my eyes. If you run a
quick math on me real quick on how much I made in this trade, considering the EV is around 26.9%, I made just over $6 and it literally took me seconds to look up this bet. The $6.39 that I
made from this trade made more than the entire ARB session that took an entire hour. The best part about this trade is that I had no idea who this tennis player even was. Some international tennis match that I've clearly never watched. The only thing that I noticed is that this was wildly
mispriced comparatively to the market. So, thin is where the money is, but thin alone isn't enough. And this is the part people get wrong, so stay with me. A thin market only pays you if somebody
real is pricing it, not some automated bot. And that's what this stream does. It scans every bet I can place across every book I have, and then compares each price to what the sharp market says
it should be. Take the sharp book's odds, strip out their built-in fee or VIG, and what's left is the fair price these sharp books are willing to pay. Your asked line beats that fair price,
that's called positive expected value. And that's exactly how I found this low liquidity, very plus EV bet on tennis. Thin enough markets that the box won't come. Real enough that fair value actually means something.
And when both of those are true at the same time, that's when a profitable sports bet shows up. So now what I'm going to do is I'm going to demo to you real examples from niche markets that you can service at any point in time
here with automated software. This is a plus EV sniper from Upside.Tools. And what you notice at the top all these plus EV plays especially at the top are coming from niche markets We have data stolen bases here showing really good value on Kalshi and Novig Novig
at $1,500 plus $1,500 when the entire market is viewing us at essentially half the odds here. Plus $920 on Fandle, a very sharp sports book. We have DraftKings here, nearly cross market with a very sharp book in DraftKings when pricing player props because they get
a ton of liquidity. And again, this kind of passes all the checks for me. It's $9 worth of liquidity to bet on this bet. So a really good example here at the top. And then we have pitcher alt strikeouts, right?
A literal ARB sitting right here that, again, the bots have no interest in taking just simply because there's only $29 of liquidity here and then $44 of liquidity. But you can bet those sides and guarantee profit if you have access to PolyMarket.
And as you can see, there's no other sportsbooks that are pricing this alt line here. So this price, Blades, Tidwell, under 1.5 strikeouts, yeah, it's a long shot, but it looks mispriced.
And then if we look further down here, we have Minnesota United minus 1.5, and that's the spread for them to win at plus 1,200, and nearly cross-market with the other ones.
And as you can see here, wildly awesome comparing to the sportsbook market and exchange market. And I can just keep going down and down and down. And as you guys can see, once you get closer to the bottom of these plus EV plays, you'll start surfacing more relevant markets from major league sports,
and you'll see more niche markets with low liquidity at the top. And that is your edge here. The really cool thing about this is, hey, if I find one with an edge here, this Miami Dolphins play at minus 161 looks relatively good.
What I can do is one-click bet this over, take advantage of it immediately before anybody is available to take advantage instead. And again, another example, we are currently in the preseason, so nobody's paying attention to these markets.
So another opportunity here. If you want to grab access to the Plus TV Sniper, each one of the plans on Upside.Tools come with a five-day free trial. I'll go ahead and link it in the description. Finding these on your own means de-vigging sharp lines
across dozens of books every morning, every second of the day. And this automatic scanner does it for me. And honestly, that's the only way this can work at scale. Now, before placing your next bet, go ahead and do these three things.
One, pick a thin market in a niche sport. Tennis or college football props, esports, not major league sports, mainline markets where the bot is already beating you before you even look at the odds.
Two, before any bet, check the fair price against the sharp books. If you can't name a fair price, then you don't have an edge. And that would be gambling. Number three, buy small on purpose.
If you actually want to see if plus easy betting works long time, this is the most important thing. So half a percent of your bankroll of bet is plenty. And if you're playing with, I don't know, 500 bucks, you'll be able to enter all these bets no problem.
The bots killed the edge with Arbing, however, they just showed you where the next edge was with plus easy betting.
