## Summary

This video provides a comprehensive guide for beginner YouTubers on how to generate significant income through content creation. It covers affiliate marketing, selling digital products, offering services, and emphasizes the importance of viewer intent and trust.

### Key Points

- **Passive vs. Active Affiliate Marketing** [00:39] — Passive affiliate marketing involves placing affiliate links in video descriptions, while active affiliate marketing involves creating content specifically to promote products, such as review or list videos.
- **Viewer Intent Matters** [02:42] — To generate real income, consider viewer intent. Search-targeted videos (e.g., product reviews) attract viewers with high purchase intent, leading to better conversion rates.
- **Finding Affiliate Programs** [04:24] — Use Google searches and ChatGPT deep research to find affiliate programs relevant to your content. Amazon Associates is a good starting point for most niches.
- **Recurring Commissions** [05:05] — Software-related content can earn recurring commissions, which can rapidly increase income as you continue to make sales over time.
- **Promote Only What You Trust** [05:47] — Only promote products you genuinely stand behind. Recommending poor products damages trust and reduces future conversions.
- **Selling Digital Products** [06:28] — Create and sell digital products like PDFs, graphics, merch, guides, e-books, and courses. Platforms like Gumroad, Fourthwall, and Thinkific can host them.
- **Offering Services** [09:26] — Offer services like video editing, graphic design, or consulting. This can provide immediate income and help you go all-in on YouTube.
- **Simple Service Setup** [11:38] — You don't need a fancy website to offer services. A simple landing page with an email signup, mentioned in your videos, can attract clients.

### Conclusion

The video emphasizes that making life-changing money on YouTube requires a strategic approach, combining affiliate marketing, digital products, and services, while focusing on viewer intent and building trust.

## Transcript

of the biggest opportunities available right now. for almost 20 years on YouTube. with the creator economy,
But it's not easy, and you don't know how any of this stuff works. that you can make money as a content creator,
And even if you don't get a ton of views, that you have complete control over, in your very next video, and we're starting right now.
The very first method for making money on YouTube it's simply where you get a commission for referring people there is passive affiliate marketing,
and you just hope people go down there And then you also have active affiliate marketing. because you're making content decisions
to those links that you have available. is going to end up bringing you more sales. then you can take the passive approach.
then in that case, you are literally making videos Those can be review videos, they can be list videos, they can be included in any content that you make,
and then you mention that you have it available For example, let's say somebody has a woodworking channel. They've got clamps and tools
And since they have all that stuff in there, whatever it is that they're using, they could go And if it is, they could sign up to be an Amazon associate,
And while they were making the video, It's by a company called Pack Saws. And then they would get back into the video.
and it's non-interruptive to the video The person that would be interested in checking out They will click on that link,
to earn a commission if they end up purchasing that saw. then that creator would actually get commissions that that person ended up buying off
But if you are trying to generate real income on YouTube to consider this next thing, which is viewer intent. of getting a sale based
So, for example, let's say and then somebody's searching for a review on that product. there's a really good chance that they're in the process
in that product in some way. the intent of that viewer in possibly making a purchase when you're talking about something else in the video.
with your video ideas for the videos "Okay, do I wanna catch somebody that they had no intention of even considering,"
"or do I want to make a video that is more search targeted?" something like that that would bring attention to this So when it comes to the topic of the videos
of affiliate marketing, then in that case, it's important So you can just ask yourself, "Okay, if the person then I might not convert as well.
then I can't really be upset about it. and that video is showing up in search, then in that case, maybe I need to work
to bring attention to as an affiliate. "Nick, I'm on board with everything it is but I don't know where to start when it comes
for my type of content." and type in affiliate programs for, Next, you can go to ChatGPT, go into deep research mode
on your type of content And in addition to that, if you meet their requirements, 'cause they sell pretty much everything on Amazon.
for most mainstream types of content. If you happen to be a content creator around things that have software involved,
that you can also get recurring commissions. to really balloon your income very rapidly and then you make that commission
but then you're also making money on the people then you can see the trajectory there So I would look for those first.
make sure that when it comes that you don't truly stand behind is because if you give people a thing and you're like,
and they're not happy with it, and they're gonna be like, "Oh, I tried that thing However, if you recommend things and they're really good,
And then the next thing that you recommend, make sure that you're only promoting good stuff. it doesn't matter if you're doing woodworking,
You can create products in the forms of PDFs. Sometimes it's just merch, sometimes it's other things or spread awareness about those things through your content.
I have a website called Tuber Tools where I sell graphics. that you could load into an iPad, and that made sales. It's an iPhone app called New Creator.
It just helps you with a bunch But basically, those things by themselves and it's already generating like real income.
But you can do merch, which is free to set up. or Fourthwall. and you can put it on coffee mugs, hoodies, pillows,
you can put together guides A friend of mine, he does travel content But the idea for those things
you have it as part of your YouTube account, You can write e-books, that kind of thing. and then you can upload it to services like Gumroad,
But how those work is once you have your PDF, maybe you upload a graphic or something. to that item in your video description,
Another really common personal product where they take whatever they know about a certain thing just like you make for YouTube
for somebody to follow and all that. And for the courses, once you have the videos made, to a service like uscreen.tv, Kajabi or Thinkific,
to those things as well Now, when it comes to pricing and things to where people buy one time,
around the course and things like that. that you can put together are guides, books, merch, digital art, music, presets,
itineraries, any kind of printables and so on. you are creating additional things. and things like that.
plus the creation of the thing. to affiliate marketing where all you have to do instead of having to build them and maintain them.
is through services. to ways that you can make money through content. which is user-generated content.
that all they do is they post on places and they will get work from people looking Unfortunately, I believe that a lot
if you know how to make good content. you can also offer any area of expertise that you have So, for example, when I first started this channel,
and that channel wasn't monetized, And I got hooked on YouTube But the first way that I had to go all in
And then I also, as a part of that, was offering services So, you know, if people would come to me for a kit, it would be like a lower third graphic,
so that they would have a nice branded look and more clients, allowed me to go all in on YouTube and I was learning how to drive more affiliate traffic.
I added a membership side to my graphic site. to stop offering the services as well And then consulting came along, which is lucrative.
So I was like, "No," and then I kept on that and all of that was great. there is this kind of place that you get to
I'm doing well, but this is taking up all of my time." and things like that that are not based on the time of things come in really handy when it comes
you don't even need a fancy website for that, on the services that you're offering, of course. to where he wanted to get into fashion consulting
and I was like, "Hey, do you have anything available And he said no. that you have these plans for,
Put your email address and then mention it in your video." he got his first consulting client from that. that you can help people shorten their learning curve,
if you have time to offer it. of consistent view counts coming in and things like that. that will take you into a lot of details about sponsorships.
Thank you so much for watching. I'll see you next time.
