## Summary

In this livestream, hosts Jack and Mark discuss their recent and upcoming automotive projects, including the Integra Type S film, NSX docufilm, and Lamborghini STO piece. They also answer viewer questions about car reliability, comparisons, and the challenges of creating high-quality automotive content.

### Key Points

- **Livestream Kickoff** [0:03] — Jack and Mark start the livestream, checking audio and introducing their moderator Chin Face.
- **Project Updates** [3:15] — They discuss upcoming videos: Integra Type S docufilm (Monday), NSX docufilm (shot in Japan, needs translation), Z06 GT3 film, five-way hot hatch comparison, and Lamborghini STO engineering piece.
- **NSX Project Deep Dive** [8:28] — Jack explains the NSX project: Acura shipped a Gen 1 and Type S, they interviewed key engineers in Japan (Uehara-san, etc.), and discovered a technical book written by Uehara-san that nobody knew about.
- **Engineering Challenges** [10:58] — Mark reflects on the complexity of car engineering, the disconnect between enthusiasts and OEMs, and the importance of understanding the development process.
- **GR Corolla Long-Term Plan** [16:10] — Jack bought a GR Corolla to modify and test if it can become the car Toyota promised, addressing cooling and dynamic issues.
- **Content Creation Struggles** [24:00] — Mark discusses the high cost and time investment of producing comparison videos, noting that returns are often low despite massive effort.
- **Lexus GX Reliability** [32:49] — They answer a question about the new Lexus GX twin-turbo V6, noting it's more complex to work on but likely reliable due to Toyota's quality focus.

## Transcript

Jack we're live so we are live it has
been several months since the last time
we did this so hopefully you are ready
for a several hour live stream where we
do our best to answer all of your
questions and a gentleman named Zach
Peterson has already jumped the gun but
before we answer his questions and many
more we should talk about oh I don't
know why are we talking about anything
we should be saying hello to people and
making sure that they can hear us first
right that is a good call
can you guys hear us
oh and we have a lovely moderator named
chin face who is helping us out chin
face can you message me and let me know
if you can hear us
about you Mark can they hear you today's
sponsor is Kirkland organic fruit and
vegetable pouches we're supporting the
apple and strawberry spinach uh sector
there's a lot of farmers out there that
are not getting a lot of money for
spinach so if you buy two cans today
well actually at Kirkland or Costco you
can only buy 700 cans when you eat all
that spinach I'm gonna donate point zero
zero zero seven cents to Jack's favorite
charity his Corvette fund oh perfect for
new tires he'll get a new set of tires
in about 20 years for that thing okay so
it sounds like most of you can hear us
loud and clear chin I am waiting oh yes
I had I do have a fifth grader lunch by
the way somebody said that looks like
I'm eating like a fifth grader uh you
absolutely do my mom made me this
beforehand I I got out of the basement
today just for about five minutes to do
this I had to sweep the chimney first
and get get her uh old rugs cleaned so
I've just spent 12 hours of this [ __ ]
driving back and forth from Detroit all
this guy wanted to do every couple hours
with poor chin face in the car was stop
and get Scoops he's like Jack I can't
believe you made me drive all this way
can we get Scoops that was with three
days in a row literally this man eats
this guy he's a small child well I
didn't want to go because I had so much
stuff to do and Jack's Jack pulled out
every stop like every time I said no
he's like oh but I did this and this I'm
like yeah but I can't do this and then
it's like oh I did did this and this I'm
like no I still got to do this and then
he's like I I made the Sun the moon and
stars revolve around you and I couldn't
say no and then I wound up going and
then every
ounce of energy you stole out of me I
had to replenish it back with a hot
fudge sundae a strawberry shake uh and
I'm not supposed to eat dairy so it was
I would I could literally feel the water
pressure in my hotel from four floors
down change yeah the guy I I woke up at
three in the morning and uh I had some
stomach problems and the guy next door I
could hear in the hotel room he's like
oh my God what is that smell well
anyway so that's uh we're just warming
up here so that's that's what's been
going on with us let's get some other
housekeeping done we have done many
projects we have a Integra Type S
docufilm potentially coming out on
Monday by some luck luckiness maybe Mark
and edit all together tomorrow he's been
working on it for the last week we got
back from Japan a couple weeks ago where
we finally more or less wrapped up the
shooting element of our NSX docufilm so
many of you guys have been waiting on
that video and it will take about five
years to edit together five hours of
people speaking Japanese and mind you we
don't speak Japanese so it's gonna have
to get translated out and then subtitled
and all that other fun stuff so that'll
be
um interesting oh it's going to be
interesting I'm going to lock the door
just in case my mom brings me oh dessert
perfect you can't let her do that and
she's gonna bring you a bucket as well
yeah she's gonna bring me a diaper and a
banana split what else have we done we
we finally did our Z06 GT3 film we did
the five-way comparison with Carlos laga
which was uh hopefully you guys have
seen that video it's right up your alley
it's got all the hot hatches that are
not all four cylinders despite what I
say in the intro yeah this guy said the
wrong thing like three times or four
times in the video cylinders and then he
actually did call him five cylinders I
don't know where that came from he's
just confused yeah I I have to add
cylinders like I add inches in height
well let me put this banner up here just
so
uh speaking of testosterone we are
planning on shooting a e-ray video like
we did for the original Z06 film and our
M2 M2 Supra video
uh is out and we've been working on a
dark horse docufilm as well so we have
quite a few projects in the background
for you guys and we're about to do our
first ever uh Lamborghini film we have
an sto that's being shipped out to us
and Lamborghini is going to have us do
an engineering piece on that video kind
of celebrating the end we're not
celebrating sort of bemoaning the end of
the V10
and sort of talking about their future
products for the three people on planet
Earth who can actually afford a
Lamborghini but how much is that car I
think it starts in the low 300s and
really the point of it for us is because
that's what I'm going to be able to
afford oh yeah just you know you're
sitting on a gold mine so your organs
I'll be closer to being negative 300 000
for 300 000. but really I mean you get
to see how a Lamborghini is engineered
and most of the time in the past no one
has talked about the technical
attributes of that vehicle is just like
look at me and my Instagram models there
are you know there's actual engineering
already that goes into those cars and
it's sad that no one talks about it so
hopefully we get to talk about a little
bit of it yeah so it's the hardcore
viewers that are appreciated I think
that's that's what it'll come off as I
have my severe doubts that anybody's
really gonna watch that video just
because I do feel like that space has
been dominated by a whole different
subset of Internet creators uh who do
mostly street racing and whatever what
else do internet creators do with
Lamborghinis Jack crash them jump them
over things because of one guy who jumps
them all that's cool yeah it should be
yeah we I don't know as we as we sort of
see what we can accomplish while we have
good weather hopefully these will become
some unique and interesting projects
things we finished what else did we do
Mark let's talk about let's let's talk
about the big ones right I mean I know
you brought it up already
um before we get into this question and
answer Zone that goes on for quite a
while
um
the Integra video also has some special
stuff in it which I guess it is pretty
cool we got to film them get built uh we
shut down a track Audubon Country Club
continues to be a valuable asset for us
so we we put them out on track and we
downloaded as well so I'm pretty sure
we're the only Outlet to track or dyno
and so yeah this this one's interesting
because yeah we did the we did the
factory again so we to your point the
track part but that's also it's got some
really interesting data in there about
what's different about the car like real
data to show like how it's different
um the dyno numbers are clearly
interesting and then of course uh the
other part is we did audio testing on it
we did decibel testing on the interior
to see like is it actually quieter so
there's a lot of stuff in there along
with trying to talk to Acura about what
they were trying to do with the car uh
for real like what they were trying to
do and I think they did a great
explanation of what it is and what it's
not
um I'm excited about because it's really
it's what I set out to do when we start
when I started this I wanted to take a
new car have manufacturers help us
explain what they're doing so we then
can learn about it and then explain it
back without being marketing and that's
what I really love and I love to see the
start to finish the manufacturing the
assembly process I mean it's just so
cool and then to be able to have the
skill set now to understand what the
hell is going on behind the scenes
mechanically with the car and to get
into all those details it's just it's so
much fun it's just there's never enough
time to do this stuff it's that's the
biggest problem there you can't just
spend endless times on time on this one
thing but I'm really looking forward to
that one and I know the Japan trip you
mentioned that
um do you want to talk a little bit more
about that Jack because that's that's
kind of a big deal too so the NSX
project something we've teased for
almost a year at this point those who
have been following the channel or any
of our Instagram accounts we started
this project nine months ago Acura was
kind enough to ship us a gen 1 and a sax
and a NSX Type S as they were killing
off the car
and initially uh this is something that
we'd pitched several times in the past
and after just a lot of going back and
forth with them and trying to figure out
how to make a project work for both of
us they finally agreed to it and then we
got some of the American side of Honda
involved in the MSX project we had John
Ikeda John Rivers he did product
planning he's also an Integrity type
best video Peter Cunningham the only
American to race one in Era on a factory
supported team John vasos who is a
mechanic who built a shop and basically
dedicated his life to these cars but
after interviewing all these people
getting the cars we realized pretty
quickly that this is a Japanese story
not an American story well we appreciate
the car and what it has to offer all
these guys who worked on it none of them
were here right all we did was resell
them in this market and race them yeah
so after going back and forth with Japan
and Honda North America and realizing
that some of the people working on this
are quite elderly
you know sort of a Time imperative as
well you know you want to be able to
tell the story from these people's
mouths before they're either too old or
physically unable to tell the story so
after going back and forth for eight
months we finally got all the key team
members involved uhara-san the chief
engineer we put him on camera he
answered our questions uh who made a son
who kind of organized this all from the
Japanese PR side of things uh
tsukumotasan watasan a couple other
gentlemen everyone from the aluminum
Body Works to the chassis Engineers who
worked on every iteration of the NSX
including the type RS are all on camera
for us to interview and tell the story
we got to go to the Honda Museum where
they gave us free access
yeah we I mean I got to climb around
Earth and Santa's McLaren which sure it
has nothing to do with the NSA story but
arathon does have something to do with
the NSX story so we we've really tried
to put something together that you know
after you and I are no longer doing this
and God knows how many years someone can
go back and watch what we're hoping is
going to be the definitive NSX video if
you want to learn about what the car is
today and from the people who designed
it almost 30 years later yeah it's uh
this was again like when we talk about
or you know we start talking about the
things that you want to accomplish doing
this and obviously this is quite
self-serious right now I apologize that
there's not a lot of comedy in this
story but the
when we started doing it I'm like I want
to do an NSX video because people are
like okay you've done these other ones
why don't you do this and it was strange
to get to a place where you realize
there is no story without the real
people that did it did the work because
this is what happens all the time you
never really talk to the people that did
the physical work and all the hard work
on the back end and I'm like I couldn't
I didn't want to finish the video unless
I had that part and the naivety of doing
it this way of not really understanding
what that meant was the only reason we
got to this point because if I would
have known what in all of this how it
would have played out in the amount of
time that it's taken I would have
probably never done it but to be able to
have had them be on camera like you
mentioned and to be able to tell their
story granted it's all in Japanese so
there's a huge language barrier and
translation issue that's going to have
to go into to making it work you know
you have four hours of interviews that
are all in Japanese and I don't speak
Japanese I can barely speak three words
because I'm American and uh we only know
English but to have that translated back
for a video that's cohesive for a viewer
to understand and then getting all the
technical stuff that we didn't know
existed that was the best part
uh UE horoson wrote a book that he spent
20 years writing about the technical
stuff with S2000 and the NSX that really
nobody knew about even the closest
people to him so we find this out when
it's there it's all in Japanese we have
him sign the book and then later we're
like hey did you write this thing yeah
we had him sign a book and he like I had
no idea this book was even his so that
that's really what we walked into and in
some of it's Japanese culture right
they're not self-congratulatory they're
not people that will unlike you yeah I'm
always out my front yard with my shirt
off like just just flexing at everybody
that walks by but that that's that's
exactly it we didn't know what we were
walking into and I don't think that they
particularly knew what we were walking
into and it's just it's crazy how it's
all turned out and if I get through this
and the video ends up being good I will
be very very happy it's one of those
things
um you can retire your jersey finally
yeah I can hang up my my number zero
jersey for zero wins up in the rafters
and it'll get uh bird crap on it but
yeah I was I'm really I hope this turns
out well and it's one of the things I'll
look back on and if I could accomplish
this I did what I set out to do when I
started this and there's I mean there's
all other things to do clearly but that
was one of the things for me that was
super important I think really the next
step for us is to be a part of a
development process for your car earlier
on and get to show people in a
non-marketing BS way how something is
developed the trials and tribulations
from an oem because something that a lot
of the engineers tell us all the time is
that there's a huge disconnect from
people who love cars and people who
design cars and a lot of people who are
fanboys of cars or like certain models
don't fully appreciate how goddamn long
it takes to engineer a product I mean we
we sort of touched on it in our C8 video
and we've touched on it now in our
upcoming Mustang video but it takes
years of unbelievable amount of hours to
put something together it's not only
just designing the cards going back and
forth with you know thousands of people
on a team suppliers the government
manufacturing not only you have to
design something you have to be able to
build it and you have to deal with the
unions who build these cars and training
you know hourly employees to assemble
these things I mean it is vastly
complicated and I don't think people
fully appreciate it and how would they
without doing it themselves or at least
being able to visualize it and see it
for themselves let's be honest I don't
think I appreciated it until this last
year to be honest getting inside and
talking to some of the people that are
actually doing the work and then seeing
the difficulties of their job even you
know off the Record stuff you hear
stories from the people that are leading
projects and just it's their corporate
jobs right like you're one person in a
large team and the bigger than
organization the more red tape and when
you get these bigger vehicles that
management and then upper management has
to have their fingerprint on everything
and then the budgets right like the
budget part is is hilarious to me when
we've seen cars where there was no
budget like the Z06 had almost no budget
like they just had a a blank check and
that's why the guys are so excited like
what you saw and you said like look at
no budget is they had no money they had
unlimited no yeah that's what yeah
that's what I mean like a blank check so
they could do whatever they want and
that's why when you saw the engineers on
camera they're like they're they're
oozing everything they wanted to do they
finally didn't have somebody breathing
down their neck they got off the leash
and then you you see other projects
where you're like well why is this so
it's because we had five dollars yeah
like we literally had to pull it out of
here to put a big screen in the car and
that was the priority and that took most
of the development budget for this part
and it's seeing this on the back end and
understanding where the money is going
um you know in in in seeing like
production numbers two was another
interesting part of the Enthusiast cars
like I was editing the Integra video
today and I was going through all the
Japan Chinese stuff because there's more
St obviously on a Japanese car
you would think we would have all the
information but we never do but the
Japanese clearly said for fl5 Type R
their goal is to make no more than 400 a
month period that was their production
limit was 400 a month and nobody really
ever talked about that but then you see
that and you go to some of these other
esoteric cars or like specialty cars
it's the same thing for GR Corolla they
have a hard cap they don't even care if
they make more than that it's not about
building a lot so it's funny that we see
it on expensive cars that have become so
limited or serialized and now we're
seeing it on the budget like cars that
in my mind I'm still not wrapping my
head around like how the hell is like an
Integra like a specialty car now or a
Civic or you know like a Mustang even
um it's it's really strange place to be
in the automotive world and somebody I
saw a comment here does Mark even love
cars anymore like cars anymore and I'm
like I do my perspective is just
completely shifted on them though it's
not like how it used to be for me oh so
Jacob and Yuri the straight pipe says
well I talk about my Corvette and of
course 24 seven yeah I'm surprised uh
actually let me hear uh Jacob can you
talk about your Z06 too and your your
Fox body should you do that all right we
put the banner up go ahead all right
well you know why don't you put your
update about your Corvette so we can get
it out of the way you know it's it's
never seen rain I only take it to
nursing homes and I win and I get to
yell at Applebee's waitresses when I
pull my Z06 and I demand that they valet
park my car can you fit a lawn chair in
that thing uh yeah of course dude I I
can either fit my T-top or my lawn chair
in the truck what about both
I can't well you know
I I pull a Corvette trailer with my ZO6
oh really yeah it's just incredible so
why don't you tell them about the real
story about your ZO6 because you had
some drama with that recently yes so
um in a moment of seriousness the the
problem with Corvettes is anyone who
owns a GM product knows is that GM
dealers are not always the most capable
and servicing said uh uh GM product as
you've probably seen on other uh from
other YouTubers who've owned z06s or own
them a lot of dealers can't deal with
their wheels and tires so that's
exciting took almost uh two maybe three
weeks to get one tire changed after one
wheel was destroyed by a dealer who
tried changing the tires so
you know it's uh it's exciting times so
what you are not getting when you pay
six figures for a Corvette is a
six-figure dealer experience that said
the service people are nice they're just
not used to necessarily dealing with
esoteric sports cars and I don't
entirely blame them they deal with
trucks and equinoxes all day and you
have some tech who doesn't get paid a
lot of money and some [ __ ] shows up
with a six-figure cars like fix it
they'll be like go [ __ ] yourself but
we're not talking about fixing it we're
talking about changing a tire yes fair
point so they couldn't change your tire
and then they damaged the wheel trying
to change the tire then they sent you
away like yeah
oh we couldn't do it and then in the end
they they replace the tire and the wheel
and another AFA helped Mount the tire
for them which was was exciting yeah and
like why don't you talk about AFA real
quick so if you do live in Illinois and
for the three people who who uh live
there because I think there's a lot
about okay yeah
um if you live in the northwest suburbs
and you need tires mounted or weird like
it's called performance work done or
service work done AFA performance in
Downers Grove has been our go-to shop
they've helped with a lot of the
five-way or basically any of the
comparison tests we've done they'll
mount the tires they do brake pads for
us when we don't have time to do it
ourselves or we're feeling too lazy
great job to work with it's a huge shout
out to them yeah definitely it's it's
one of those when you have cars and you
don't have time to work on them it's
like a load off when you have a place
this is not sponsored but this is
nothing it's not even really a plug I
just wanted to bring it up since you
talked about the tire stuff because
they've really gone and bend over
backwards because they love cars it's a
shop that actually the guys that do it
like cars they don't open until they
work their regular jobs they're I.T guys
then at 5 PM when they get off work
they're like you know what I want to do
with my evening I want to go work on
some junks yeah so they open up their
shop at like five or six pm and they
work till like midnight they go to work
the next day and restart it's crazy but
to be fair it's it's Enthusiast cars
mostly right they're not like I will do
anything oh they will do anything we'll
do anything I just feel like I always
see like BMWs and gr86s and all that
stuff there it's the I that's what their
specialty is and they're primarily a
referral shop okay oh cool anyway
um what else to talk about five
comparison Carlos we you got to cross uh
another one off the list yeah we got to
work with Carlos Lago who's every bit is
amazing in person as he is on camera
he's such a nice dude yeah that was one
I know a lot of people if you're a
little bit older you know I'm like now
that I hit 27 I just had my 27th
birthday and uh
you know when I was like four years old
I used to watch Motor Trend on YouTube
and he was like on there and I always
loved his relatableness it what he was
never do she he was just really matter
of fact and not I don't know not he
wasn't abrasive so I loved his approach
so it was kind of funny after all of
this time from him going to Car and
Driver we met him at a press event I
don't gr86 it was gr86 okay we met him
there and I just it was kind of weird to
talk to him and then he realized like
he's just a normal guy that likes cars
and works in the car industry it's it's
it was just as simple as that and I
don't know how you could I think you
reached out to him for this didn't you
yeah one of us did I think yeah I might
have and he said absolutely and he the
real gentleman drove all the way out
here uh was accommodating to our sort of
our workflow and he genuinely is a nice
nice guy funny and very professional
he's the perfect person to bring in for
a project he's so charismatic I mean
it's hard on video because you know like
he didn't do any of the film work and
stuff he just was like the personality
on there but I I feel bad that it wasn't
as you know I don't know it was a good
video to put him in honestly he was he
was not just a cameo or like that was my
goal with that is not just to make him a
third wheel or a fifth wheel
um to actually have him a part of it and
I know it's weird just throwing him in
but I felt like it worked pretty well
for her first time doing it and that
would be my idea of people like oh why
don't you collaborate and collaborations
are hard because to get somebody that's
on the outside in and namely like car
and driver right that's like a very very
structured old school even though
they're trying to change a lot of that
you still have to bring that brand in
and be safe to the brand and accessible
while still doing your own thing and I
felt like that was totally accomplished
with that video so I was very happy with
it
you could always do more it could have
been better in other ways but I really
enjoyed that one if we had more time I
think you know maybe incorporating a
street element of it I just felt that
using the track
allowed us to drive the cars at whatever
rate or Pace we wanted to so you could
simulate and we did what it was like to
putt the thing around right and no
traffic on the track and just sort of
enjoy the Dynamics of the car and also
go flat out and obviously we brought in
Brooke Casey who's been working with us
now for a couple years super good guy
racing instructor there former pro
driver and he said all the laps and
honestly that was getting him in and out
of every one of the cars after he set
his four or five laps and got us flyer
than remounting the camera here in each
one of the cars it took a lot of time
but the dude never complains and he
works really hard and he's as articulate
as he can be he doesn't do this for a
living right but he can speak to the
nuances of you know what a race car
driver is looking for in a vehicle like
that
um hopefully you guys enjoyed the video
because that was really for you guys as
much as it was for and on the back end
I'm just I I just want to cover this
real briefly for people that are
watching you know
um part people are like obviously I'm
starting to seriously my battery is
really low with this I'm like I'm
questioning a lot of this and some of it
is because to do what you want to do
like what I want to do that comparison's
a perfect example Jack is like always
like shooting much higher and that's
that's really how A lot of this happens
when you shoot higher and you push the
boundaries you do better stuff but at
the same time it's like we've hit a wall
or I have personally hit a wall where
you're throwing five cars at me you know
five cars with two people to film this
entire thing it's incredible that it
even got done and Chris Andrew Chin base
he does help logistically and and I got
to get him more involved with other
stuff too but you know essentially two
people doing the technical work and me
doing all the editing I sat down and
edited and I told Jack I'm like it took
me five days literally five days
straight because it's five Cars Plus lap
times plus all this other [ __ ] plus
trying to make Carlos look good and like
you know make sure he's happy and he
already looks good yeah it physically
looks good that's not an issue but you
know that it it it's not representing
bad but it's so much work it's not does
this what we're trying to do is not
designed for two people it's not and
we've been forcing this and then the
worst part is there is not the return
that there was on this the the costs are
really high the time is really high and
you know like from the business end
right like anybody that's done this and
I'm starting to really realize this it's
hard for Jack because he's like let's
get this thing let's get let's get in
he's great at it and then I have to do
the work on the back end I'm sitting
here thinking I'm like okay I spent 80
hours in a week editing this and then we
probably spent me you and Chris
uh what 50 hours and shooting it and
then all the planning that was done
probably another 20 hours so you're
literally blowing three weeks of time
and overhead uh and Logistics Fuel all
that crap to shoot a video that comes
out one day disappears has a couple
hundred thousand views and maybe makes a
couple thousand so the the return is not
there when you look at these things like
oh it's cool but why didn't you do this
I'm like I sit there and think why did I
do this you know and there's still
somebody's like do you like cars and I
love cars I'm just trying to figure out
how to survive doing this [ __ ] the way
that we want to do it like trying to
trying to do more uh instead of just the
cardboard stuff because if I'm not if
I'm not doing this I really don't want
to do it I don't just want to shut stuff
out and it's so difficult now but
um I'm really really proud of some of
these projects that are coming up I
think not saying they're going to be
great but I'm really proud that we were
able to do it with the resources and
that the companies the companies
honestly he thought that we were worth
their time to devote resources and
energy and people coming out like the
NSX thing these guys came out of
retirement to come here and do
interviews because it could be the last
time they're all together on camera that
to me is the Pinnacle of this right like
that's the best it gets yeah when the
oems themselves are invested in uh the
projects you're doing and it's not just
some PR person phoning it in because
they need to talk about a product when
they actually care and hopefully some of
these projects we're going to do you get
that that vibe from the people involved
that they they give a [ __ ] it makes for
a much better
experience at least putting it together
I don't know how it translates to a
viewer and then some of the the pain of
this is you know I when I when we
re-watch the video primarily we're
trying to watch the video to make sure
there's no [ __ ] errors yeah and it
makes sense the enjoyment part doesn't
really exist on our own our own end it's
like
I don't really watch car videos outside
of a couple Outlets more because they're
my friends in real life yeah because I'm
hyper interested now so it you know it's
a weird place to be
um speaking of projects we bought
another long termer the the gr86 was
sold as we sort of alluded to a couple
months ago and then as a new long-term
or a lot of it because what you guys
asked us to do and I think the five-way
comparison sort of cemented it for me we
did the gr Corollas any long term we
worked with the same dealer in the same
town Toyota St Charles they they only
sell the locals and they're a no markup
dealer which is great they just don't
get a lot of cars because they're a
smaller dealer tremendous to work with
and the point of us doing the gr Corolla
is despite it finishing either fourth or
fifth in our you and I yeah fourth or
fifth in our comparo test I guess bread
too right and Brit
um it presents a vehicle that is you
know it's great on the street and it's
not necessarily great on the track due
to cooling issue and some Dynamic
problems but it's also one of the more
Simple cars on the test so I feel like
it's the perfect candidate to see if
modifying it with higher end dampers
breaks cooling solutions basic alignment
pads tires and wheels turns it into the
car that all the marketing and the
bravado from Toyota said it would be so
that's sort of the plan for this video
is unlike the gr86 but there really was
nothing wrong with that car you just
make it faster because you wanted to get
more out of it the gr Corolla does have
some genuine deficiencies so I feel like
this is one of those cars where I'm
actually genuinely really curious to see
if you can or I can turn it into that
car that I wanted it to be because when
we went to the launch program we drove
it in Utah and it was like 100 degrees
out so the car was already you know sort
of heat soaked as soon as you got into
his already pulling timing so it didn't
feel fast and you combine that with a
track that then
really play to its no it was like fun
you know it was like a Miata when you if
you have anybody's ever done eye racing
and you take the Miata on like Suzuka or
something like the cop car miati just
sitting there falling asleep and I'm not
saying you're falling asleep driving the
Jerry Corolla but you could literally be
foot to the floor on the entire track
there's no oversteer there's understeer
you can't get it to rotate no matter
what you do and if you really want to
try to Chuck it into a corner it just is
like it's so safe feeling that there's
something no Edge yeah there's no Edge
to it and that's not what we went in
expecting so when we did our comparison
test I think there and you saw this on
the forums people were a little bit
upset that we like the lap time was like
at the top but how is it possible that
the car was the worst and I think it was
a combination of factors that even
though the lap time was quick it wasn't
particularly that engaging to drive it
didn't feel like there was nothing going
on and we don't need the gr Corolla to
be fast we need it to feel fun to drive
and it just wasn't as fun as the other
cars and then on top of it the interior
not as good it's still expensive and
then to have Brit go out for what is
essentially three laps to come back
where it just goes into front wheel
drive mode only not saying not saying
that that can't be fixed but from the
dealership and buying a new car it's
kind of a it's a big disappointment it
is a big disappointment so Carlos's
point was the jira Corolla is best
bought As A Streetcar that you're
driving in all seasons putting snow
tires on it you can have fun in the
winter it's got a manual parking brake
you can do all the things that you want
as an all-wheel drive car and to me
that's going to be the Redemption when
Jack told me he was getting a gr curl
I'm like why don't why are you doing
this it's like you know we don't even
really like the car but at the same time
we've only driven it in conditions where
the best parts of it potentially are not
coming out so as Jack drives it and we
get it in inclement weather wet in the
winter especially the winter in the
midwest this might go from like okay
it's kind of sedate to it could be one
of the most fun street cars for the
price I don't know we'll find out but
that's the whole point of this I guess
the only other projects I want to
accomplish the Summers I want to do
something with some of our other friends
out there in the world like the straight
pipes either go out to Canada have them
out here shoot a project with them do
something with Annie the lab and of
course see something with everyday
driver and some other Mica yeah yeah
that's right yeah as well from uh Kelly
Blue Book
um I think it's time now that we answer
some of these lovely people's questions
and for those who have have asked
these are not shrimp they are lobsters
yeah Jack's got lobsters on his shirt
um
I don't even want to go there Jack all
right
so the very first question we got asked
this was before we even went live was
Zach Patterson what are your thoughts on
the new Lexus GX specifically in regards
to Future reliability of the new
powertrain V6 twin turbo
thank you by the way thank you very much
thank you very much
I am going to pull up the comments here
so I can see what the hell I can send
all my glasses on because I want to be
cool I don't want to be uh
he's asking about the new GX what do you
think go to the starred thing oh yeah
where's the star thing above right there
oh thanks
perfect uh Zach
um thank you for the five dollars and uh
we had our chance our first experience
with the twins turbo V6 was in the LS
uh the the Lexus LS and we talked to uh
the head mechanic who had been working
I don't even know what they call them
the he's he just does escalations at
this point he'd been a Lexus tech for 20
years and he's worked on the five liter
the Kick-Ass five leader they have which
they never have to work on the v6s all
like all that stuff and he said yes the
new twin turbo is an absolute pain in
the balls to work on compared to the
other engines it's far more complicated
by Design it's not going to be like the
other engines because it's not the other
engines it's a Next Generation car much
like many brands that have you know
turbos and all the other electronics and
all the hoses and all the you know the
plumbing that the cooling and all the
crap that goes along into it and yes
it's not it it's probably going to be
reliable
um and it could be very reliable it's
just when it comes time to actually do
the work it's going to be a bigger pain
Point than the older cars and that's
what I'll say I don't think it's going
to be that big of a worry and with
Toyota as they Mass produce it more and
more and send millions of well I don't
know it will be in millions of cars
probably you'll have the part supply
where the the cost of these parts will
come down
um and it yes it's going to be more
labor to work on it but the parts aren't
going to be like esoteric and expensive
um so that should be the Saving Grace I
I think it's going to be just as
reliable oh they still have toys QDR
yeah exactly or quality durability and
reliability well that's what they said
their focus is so I mean I don't know
we'll see the LX though if the if the
g-axis is is substantially cheaper than
the LX the and it's a little bit more
rugged and definitely more that like
luxury off-roader where I know those are
the LX is trying to accomplish but in
the space the LX exists is so
you know it's so underperforming and
underwhelming compared to all the other
big body gun frame like luxury SUVs
someone buying an LX isn't buying an
Alex to go off-road like they would
maybe in the GX they're buying because
they want a pimp SUV and if you want a
big pimp SUV you buy an Escalade or some
you know some big body on frame
monstrosity to be fair the Lexus and
Toyota buying public is probably the
most unique buyers because they're not
buying traditionally for like you're not
going to see some guy uh like Greg with
his uh Forerunner right like he wants to
get another one it's like it doesn't
make any logical sense and you say like
oh why don't you get an X5 or something
like that like that has zero interest
you could be better in almost every way
but the drivetrain the reliability the
crap that's tried and true not crap but
the things that are tried and true about
Toyota just have a unique customer base
they don't value the same thing so I
think
although the GX and uh the TX and
whatever the hell they start naming all
these things I think they're still going
to have the good Toyota stuff they're
just they focus on different things than
the other luxury Brands and that's what
makes them unique yeah the problem with
Toyota's are better for worse is because
they are insular and some of their
approach they chase what they want to
and they're often on paper behind yeah
but you know their their buyers really
care I want to quickly go back to the
five-way comparison because as chin has
pointed out a lot of people asked why we
didn't include the Focus RS and how it
would have done in that test from a lap
time perspective I don't have a goddamn
clue I don't know I mean it has the it
has a huge horsepower advantage or not a
horsepower Advantage but it has a lot of
power it makes a lot of power it's got a
torque vectoring rear diff I I think it
would probably be right at the top of
the list in terms of drivability fun on
the track right like as we know we don't
like it as a streetcar for just it's an
old car right interior you know the way
they tune the suspension it rides the
complete ass it rides like ass because
it's not it wasn't designed for the you
know they didn't redevelop it for the
United States
designed for a German Market yeah so it
just they they didn't redo the
calibration they needed to do on the car
to make it more friendly for the US
which anyway it would have been really
good on track why we didn't include it
because we didn't have access to one and
it was also a much older car and we had
a relationship with the viewer with the
s209 Tom who's very very kind of giving
it to us in the process that that I said
to myself like we need a Subaru here
because everybody's like why didn't you
put the WRX it's a car you can buy now
that car is not in that same class it's
not it's been softened up it's just a
much it competes with the with the
previous side yeah it's more of an
outside competitor more of a GTI
competitor not the not the track Focus
car so the s209 like I wanted to put it
in there to represent Subaru because I
think it's the best car they ever made
and the rest is history sorry uh for the
Ford Fanatics maybe I'll try to get one
during our gr Corolla series to see if
it's better or worse well at least we'll
lap it maybe maybe just throw it on the
lap times try to find a day that's
similar in temperature and maybe get it
on the same tires for a leaderboard
perspective I know it doesn't mean much
and I don't care too much about that
either but maybe people would like to
see it in terms of like okay here's
here's our list of stuff yeah I I don't
even know what they're like from a used
perspective it's just not a car
to be entirely honest I've given a lot
of thought too I mean I went back and
recently when we before we did this Ford
thing with the the Dark Horse I I went
back and re-watched the Focus RS video
because I was curious to see how I did
it back in in the day and like what our
approach was
um and obviously A lot's changed but I
think in retrospect like again it's
experience and time if I would go back
to that car I would judge it far less
less harshly than I did during that time
period but in that time period I'm
thinking to myself I'm like
there's other cars there's other cars
that are have more thought given to them
they could do this better and now we
realize like nobody's really done it I
bought a Mustang GTA yeah exactly cars
were also cheaper then too you know
there was a lot more options we wouldn't
be having this debate
um so anyway it's different time
different areas cars next question Pavel
Jones thank you for the uh ten dollars I
got my fl5 in April congratulations for
getting an fl5 and it's been wonderful
Mark you are you planning to modify
yours like wheel suspension Etc also do
you know how long you're planning on
keeping your fl5 much love from from
Australia thanks Pavel I appreciate that
uh yeah and thank you for the ten
dollars so when I got the fl5
the the short and long of it is I didn't
really I wasn't looking forward to
getting the car I got an allocation for
it and I'm like okay I drove it on track
during the Press event I'm like yes okay
I'm like this is one time when I'm like
okay I really like this car and then
when I got it I was like okay I got it
in the winter I didn't drive it and I'm
like it's set and then when it came out
of storage like in whatever March or
April I drove it around and I'm like I
really like this car more than I'd care
to admit I like looking at it I like
sitting in it I like driving it as a
daily driver is it a rear-wheel drive
car no is it ever going to be as fun as
some of that no but it doesn't have to
be I like that it's a real car so I
didn't want to mess with it and
unfortunately not unfortunately but we
wound up having to use it for two
comparison tests I didn't want to use my
own car for this stuff because every
time we use something like that's why we
use press cards because you don't have
the stress of it
you know I took it out first thing you
know I got a stain on the carpet uh I
know something else I got a scratch on
the steering wheel somehow I don't know
how it happened it probably was me
um I dropped two wheels off like almost
four wheels technically it was four
wheels but dropped two wheels off hard
when we when I was trying to set a lap
time in it when we were doing the
Integra stuff and you know I scratched a
wheel not the end of the world but this
is the stuff you know when you start
using these cars for this in mounting
cameras I scratch my tint on the
passenger window from the magnet mounts
like I have like six things wrong with
this car now just from using and filming
and I'm really really tired of having my
own cars getting messed up for the sake
of this outside of her camera right
outside of our camera cars right like it
just I want a car that's not are you
planning on modeling yeah I'm rambling
uh yes but not a lot I'm gonna do wheels
and tires brake pads uh I have Essex who
sent me their J hook rotors to replace
the original OEM rotor so I don't trust
trash those
um and I do want to do a custom Olean
Stamper for the car to get rid of the
Adaptive dampers but other than that I
really like the car as is so just Basics
like really minor brake modifications
again pads is the main thing I don't
even need to do the rotors uh Wheels
tires and then the dampers which I
basically do on all the cars I just
don't want to mess with anything I
really think the engine's good as is the
gearbox is good as is you just have to
change oil you know fluid a lot for the
manual trans like any Honda just super
enjoyable oh and the the pins before I
do suspension I'll pull the the pins out
of the struts to get more negative
camera in the front because it would
really help the car even if it's like
half a degree but yeah that's it I do
I'm not I don't want to get rid of it
but the only reason I'm gonna have to
get rid of it is if I start going broke
like I really that's the only way I'm
gonna have to sell it and I'll be really
sad to do that the next question we have
is from Mr foof82 it's 1978.
crossovers are 25 years out suggest me a
5 000 pound eight mile per gallon Coupe
for personal luxury I deserve even if
it's a personal luxury Coupe in name
only props if the engine output is under
30 horsepower per liter Lincoln Mark IV
oh dude I was going to give them the
6000 sux
the science fiction car well that would
work too if if we lived in that yeah but
the 6000 su-x wasn't
in 1978 oh yeah for a point RoboCop was
in the 80s it was like 185. so you're
you're 10 years okay so if you're in
1985 6000 sux if you're 1978 Lincoln
Mark IV that truck's almost had one
right yeah she had one a yellow one with
yellow interior it got four miles to the
gallon I think it made
I think four four yeah and I think it it
made holy [ __ ]
what the hell do you know what the
engine size of that thing was I think
that was four was it was it the XM
Valdez underneath the hood this is
really really funny actually let me look
this up uh
I got a laptop here I'm gonna go look it
up no she got four miles per gallon she
had to ever okay guess this engine size
of this thing
seven liters 7.5 liter of horsepower no
no that's the best part ready I gotta
find the horsepower I don't wanna I
don't wanna underrate it
holy [ __ ] come on baby
sorry I should know my horsepower five
liter V8
two valves per cylinder rated at 365
horsepower oh it made that much power no
that can't be right
the 460 carryover for Mark 4 f-197 read
it under one a numeric decrease this 212
horsepower
50 at 7.5 liters it hits the box for a
low displacement versus or high
displacement versus Power and then four
miles per gallon just you know keep that
carb clean man if you want better power
all right Mr foof 82 go buy yourself a
Lincoln Mark IV what color was your
mom's
my Grandma had a champagne color one a
rose with rose interior my mom had a
yellow on yellow
um
those things is that why you don't like
V8s now Mark let me tell you one story
about that card all right that's my dad
this is like a classic story this is
like the best thing that ever happened
to my family my grandpa had a stroke
no that wasn't the best that's not the
best part he had a stroke you know he
was he lived a fast life uh and he
constantly fought with my grandmother so
he had a stroke he just couldn't handle
her anymore
so she left them
after he was debilitated
so he got put in a nursing home
unfortunately for him and I remember
going to visit him and he he recovered
but he couldn't he could never really
walk again he had a walker unfortunately
where does this story get amazing the
story with the car it comes in it's
pretty cool
so he he regained some of his ability to
walk but he was you know he was screwed
up from it thank God he's cognitive
function he could think and every while
it didn't it didn't do any damage up top
but yeah my mom would pick him up to do
some family stuff and she he would get
in the front seat and it took forever
but the the that wheelchair and a walker
could fit inside this Mark for I mean
you could fit like three wheelchairs in
this thing he sat in the front seat
and because he couldn't swallow properly
he always had these nasty loogies like
he would constantly keep coughing up
like a handful of snot and me and my dad
are in the back seat and he has one of
his coughing fits on the highway he
rolls down his window we didn't have air
conditioning in the car he rolls down
the front window and he's coughing and
he caused this huge loogie out and my
dad was sitting by the the back window
and the loogie flies out my dad's like
desperately trying to do the ones on a
crank he's desperately trying to roll
the window this thing this snot globule
hits the window just as it's closing and
it's covered the whole side of the
window my dad's like oh
[Laughter]
I remember
Mike because I was so young I'm like
just to see his sheer Panic that was the
closest thing he ever came to to the the
the fear since he was probably in
Vietnam
that was really the only memory I had of
the the Lincoln I was sitting in the
back for that Masterpiece that's [ __ ]
incredible all right anyway that went
long but all right next uh Mr foof 82
hope thank you again for the you got
your money he won you won trivia he gave
you five extra dollars for guessing that
card oh wow oh thank you sir you're
you're a good man is that the one he was
really talking about yeah bonus is
Promised Mark wow I would never get
they're ready per leader
I expected from someone in the heart of
my last country thanks Mark well Mr
foof82 you're more than welcome mark
thank you for for getting that trivia
right uh Jordan reader thank you for the
five dollar donation mobster thanks for
the two dollar donation thoughts on a
gently used condom business uh Jordan
thanks for the five bucks and um officer
I would not play with that that field at
all unless you're getting the condoms uh
from trusted sources uh
I would call me just call me after this
okay uh uh Paul uh uh Kim
anyway Paul thank you for the ten
dollars what are your thoughts comparing
the gr super manual to the current
Cayman GTS and the new Lotus Amira super
seems like a bargain at 40K or less I
you know it wouldn't say you guys super
for less than forty thousand dollars no
it's fine oh no forty thousand dollars
listening to the cards oh yeah I I would
be really surprised if the super wasn't
faster than the mirror around the track
I think it would be I bet you the super
is probably faster than they came in GTS
too you think so pretty close I bet you
just really cool alarmingly close I mean
the Supra makes so much power no okay
here we go let's let's okay you want to
know why it makes so much power mark
because the b-58 yeah that was like this
dude set you up for that
the Amira is a beautiful car I just
watched everyday drivers three-way
comparison between the Cayman GTS the C8
Corvette a wonderful wonderful car built
in Bowling Green Kentucky and naturally
of course the Amira the Emira is
probably the most beautiful car you can
buy for under a hundred thousand dollars
our PR rep and I saw this question
earlier are we ever going to do in a
mirror maybe we were supposed to do a
mirror a year and a half ago it got
delayed three separate times we asked
the factory for footage they sent us
something shot on an iPhone it maybe one
day we'll do an Amira video but so far
the Lotus experience dealing with the
company is like I imagine how it's like
to own an actual Lotus and get it
serviced it is an interesting experience
there's two different Lotus mentalities
there's the people that live in the
where the Home Market where that car is
and thinks it's the best thing ever
probably because there's dealerships to
support it and then there's Lotus
Fanatics in the US that will make every
excuse for those cars because there's
nothing else like it
and that's really fair you know when I
had the Exige it was a special car until
I actually had to have it fixed and
that's what did it for me they just
didn't care they didn't you know it just
to me that's not a good that I don't
want a car where I can't get support on
it and you're gonna need support on it
and it's uh next even though it's not
really a Next Generation car it's an X
Generation car for Lotus and it's really
our only car they don't have a lot of
dealerships you're having five hundred
thousand dollar car problems like 300
300 000 car from like Ferrari
Lamborghini problems really more McLaren
problems in a hundred thousand dollar
car yeah if you can deal with that the
Amira is amazing nothing else like it
otherwise you know Supra versus Cayman
the Cayman GTs for a leader I met
someone who wants an Audubon driving
school and bought one Cars engines
amazing gearbox is great it looks good
it's gonna hold its value is it forty
thousand dollars better than the Supra
would you you don't like the Supra so
it's probably the wrong person asking
would you mind would you buy a Cayman
for the manual
I will buy in my current position I'd
buy a Supra because I think that what
you're getting in the GTS 4 liter even
though it's great is a lot of money it's
really a lot of money for what that is I
mean it's a great car though it's hard
it just depends on what if you have
disposable income and you can afford a
GTS 4 liter you're gonna buy that yeah
honestly a question and gentleman is
asked a couple times that is a non-paid
question and I'm sorry it's trying to go
through like super chat and regular
questions and I'm trying to make sure I
hit as many people as possible gentlemen
asked something about is an M2 or a
Supra a good like
first fast car
if you've never been in a performance
car before would you buy a like a super
hour or a M2 do you think that's too
much card at first like your first
performance go jumping right into an M2
or yes it's too much if you're gonna
track it and enjoy it it's probably too
much car if you're just gonna drive the
street it's fine an M2 is a fast car oh
it's really it depends how old you are
and what your Driving Experience is but
you don't if you don't have a lot of
driving experience it's it's I would not
recommend it I personally I just I think
that car is you're asking for trouble if
you don't have any driving aptitude to
do it and yes there's a ton of
electronics it's not to say that that's
not going to save you but you're not
going to get a lot out of it if you
don't know how to drive that car so if
you buy either of those cars go do a
driving school immediately yes
um yeah don't don't I'm not saying don't
buy it I'm just saying if you buy that
car you better tune up your own driving
ability to to really do what you need to
do with it and you're just going to be
more safe too and you'll get to actually
enjoy your car
next question any word on the e92 M3
after owning it asan Khan thank you for
the two dollars uh you know I go up and
back on that car and I think it's a
great car personally if you're gonna if
you really are passionate about and you
love it just buy one and keep it because
it's going to be probably you know like
everything else a collectible
um the the retrospect for me is I would
never buy one again
uh only because it's like it's the right
engine in the wrong car that's it that's
the best way to sum it up it just feels
like such a special engine in a car that
is just so cardboard
I know it's got great Dynamics and all
that stuff but really what that car
should have been is like 500 pounds
lighter it should have been far more
focused it should have been edgy and it
just feels like a boat like I don't know
how to put it it just there's something
wrong with like two different teams like
oh we got to put this V8 in here that we
have it's going to be amazing and the
engine is amazing but the car is so so
it's just I don't know that's how I feel
about it it's a hero it was a hero car
of mine in high school so like my my
dream car in high school was a 997 gt34
lead not surprising you I grew up
watching Porsche's race but the other
cars like my dream obtainable car one
day I'll have an engineering job and
I'll be able to buy an e92 M3 I drove a
bunch of them in college as my friends
owned used ones and it was first car and
yours which I watched all of your
problems like I'm never buying one and
then I've driven modified them you know
Matt from obsessed garage I've driven
one of afa's cars and for how much money
they are now particularly used [ __ ] no
get something else and that's yeah and
that's the thing price is a big factor
like when I got mine I got mine at the
top of the market like it was way
expensive and that was like what forty
thousand dollars or something like that
that was expensive uh because I got a
2013 but now like they've gone up by
another fifteen thousand dollars I think
right yeah like a really really clean
low miles one can be like 60 or 70 yeah
that's just not worth it no no if you
can if you could have got it in like the
thirty thousand dollar range and you're
gonna do rod bearings and all the other
crap that you need to do and then
suspension work and all that other
things that breaks of course you still
need to do brakes it's like you're
getting like an eco car that you have to
do like you won't get enough baby get a
new M3 get an E46 I think that's a more
special experience you go on an old BMW
pile you get a GT350 with the world's
longest warranty and roll the dice
Corvette I mean there's a lot of cars
for that kind of money the engine is
really special though like you're buying
that car for that I don't disagree uh
Brosnan in Paris thank you for the two
dollars why is there a limit on patreon
it doesn't make sense well we're bad at
managing patreon and I promise hand on
my heart that chin face and I Chris and
I will finally activate the Discord
after saying this for three years for
patreon and I will re-change the tiers
once again so more people can join it
just
patreon's amazing we couldn't at all do
some of our big projects without a
genuinely patreons why we can be like Oh
I'm gonna spend four thousand dollars to
shoot a video like that's the only way
we can do it is through patreon
otherwise he and I would be living in a
shoebox that's true and honestly I've
said this before but this is like these
past three months is the first time
where like when I cash out patreon to go
like it's critically important to the to
this operating because we've done so
many Big Brothers yeah it's it's
literally has to be there and without
that support this is done that's how bad
it is and not bad but you know what I
mean that's how important it is to us
right now so yes Jack will update it and
patreon is actually redoing their layout
and stuff to help with that so you can
see what things are easier so I think
it's actually a good time to do it and
like I get all these emails from patreon
all the time like we're making this
better we're making it easier for you do
you want to hop on a call do you want to
do this [ __ ] and it's like I'm gonna be
up till two in the morning tonight
editing the last thing I want to do is
Hop on there it's just a matter of time
it's it's we need it but we also need to
spend more time with that part and I I'm
not the world's greatest businessman but
I'm trying my best to maintain the
business side of things as well as
typically if you do deal with someone on
patreon and stock market it's me yeah
and I do my best I do look at every
single thing that comes on there
it's just it's hard it's just hard like
you've got you got to pick and choose
what you're actually doing and for me
it's how do I keep the content how do I
keep things going uh wild frames let's
start with hello hello wild frames thank
you for the five dollars BGN best car
views in the world thanks wild frames
yes I really appreciate it thank you
wild frames and thank you uh Bros in
Paris and Asha Khan and everybody else
thank you Ginger hermit thank you for
the 25 for one of those peanut butter
jelly wedges they're almond butter
because Mark is weak
I'm not going to get into why it's
almond butter I don't have a peanut
allergy Jack if that's what you're
getting at but uh it's not health
reasons really it's just a preference
and he's wrong peanut butter is better
uh sell uh Michael turning thank you for
the two dollar donation
uh who Scoops for ten dollars oh I like
this name selling my
997.2 C2 six-speed and my 981 GTS six
speed sadly just totaled by hail any
suggestions for replacement trying for
sixty thousand dollars and Below fomer
M2 BRZ owner in M2 gr86 right now for
daily slash autocross and One Track day
a year
and the daily part makes it harder so if
you had sixty thousand dollars Mark what
would you buy
it's hard man
the problems you're coming from a 997.2
C2 six-speed like a really great Porsche
and a 991 GTS six-speed also a really
great Porsche getting into an M2 and
coming from before show you're gonna be
like oh man
I just downgraded but you're gonna need
to drive both um to see it's m2cs or M2
competition M2 comp oh M2 comp I would
take the gr 86
I know that's so weird but it's going to
be the most it's going to be the slower
car but it's going to have the same good
feeling of the Porsche in some ways and
the the porschos yeah I hate to say it
too I mean if you want a real driver's
car the gr86 is probably I mean it's
gonna feel like a [ __ ] box compared to
those two Porsches you're getting out of
and the engine's gonna feel like a
garbage can because it kind of is a
garbage engine
but yeah and if you want a driver
connection it's the best car for a drive
for other than like a Miata that's like
but you're gonna have to do tires and
stuff like you have to literally do
tires and GT350 with a really long
warranty when it blows up don't message
me
drive them both drive them to
competition in the gr 86 and you're
gonna know right away like you're gonna
know what talks to you more and I'm sure
that the power is going to talk to you
C7 Grand Sport that's another car if you
were just dealing and you came in the
c7s are I think I've sold mine at 2019
which is the most desirable year in
color for like 62 Grand so you're right
there that car is amazing like I'm I
many ways still prefer the C7 over the
Z06 the current one the manual is not
the best but it's a manual you feel like
you get some of the old car feel out of
it because it's really you know just an
iteration of a C5 you're not going to
talk to you're not going to talk a
Porsche owner that's looking at a German
car and a grd6 into a Chevy but it
wasn't built in Bowling Green turkey
where was I born built no their car
those cars weren't this this car oh yeah
oh I see it was built by America's
Finest crafts you know what's funny I
was thinking about the ss1le when he was
saying that because that would have been
another option yeah it's a badass ZL1 is
a badass card see that car is hilarious
yeah but you're talking about it's
probably not in this you know it
wouldn't be in on in my radar either
Fair Point hopefully that helps who
Scoops will Matt thank you for the five
dollars my grandma Tess drove a stelvio
quadrifoglio and loved it but it's been
going back and forth between the Julia
and Sylvia what would your what's your
opinion would your grandmother sounds
like a badass by the way yeah that's
kind of a weird thing like do you want
an SUV or a sedan no the grandma wants a
quadrifoglio that's what I'm saying but
a stalvio or a Julia are two totally
different cars like if you don't need
the space like if you don't need the SUV
the Julia is way better that's one of
the coolest sedans in the world like by
a long stretch like I know you never
drove it no I did oh I did I drove it I
wrote America and I lost brakes that's
right okay as a streetcar I would take
the Julia let's just leave it there yeah
the Julia is super cool and it sounds
good yeah you roll down the windows and
then just hear that thing rip oh
Michael turning thank you for the one
dollar super sticker once again
oh and he's asking how old I am I am
735.
now I'm 28. where did you see this
question it's down here Michael turn him
he just answered you know he managed to
ask a question at the same time oh I see
I have like multiple versions of her
stream coming up including regular
questions don't ever say that to me
again so I'm horrible alphabach Brackley
you are a gentleman sir long time patron
of ours for 223. if the NSX video
succeeds a Prelude video next year I
would love to do a Prelude video I know
you would I'd like to do the Prelude
before the last one not the last I don't
even know what Geno is the not the sh
all-wheel drive with what the hell did
they call it no not always drive sh
super handling yeah but what the hell do
they call it it was something else
anyway not that one the previous one
where it had the electrical elimination
Dash across the whole Center that's
that's the premium one we are Scott at
King Motorsports has continues to offer
us his K cars we are going to do a k-car
video Yeah and those are badass that's
going to be a hilarious video I look t
for five dollars any updates on the
Mazda 3 I bought one I'm very pleased
one point five thousand miles later
wanna hear keep hearing your experience
and thanks experiences thank Jen thanks
gents wow I just had a stroke like your
grandma your grandma yeah you're gonna
spit on me now
um so the Mazda 3 long-termer is mine
Mark has the MDX we're both getting to
the end of our tenure with these cars
I'm shooting that sort of wrap-up video
uh in next week I've put 14
000 miles and as a sort of disclaimer my
my girlfriend put most of the miles on
that car because she's in medical school
she did her rotations in it and I've
driven it a lot we've serviced it I
think this will be probably the most
comprehensive look I can do
in six months we put as many miles on
this thing as possible but a Year's
worth of miles in six months I talked to
dealer tax figure out what breaks on
them and it's not a bomb proof car there
are problems with it
hopefully you like it in the end
um it's a great car though I think it's
a car that the more time I spend in it
you know initially I was sort of down on
it but now it's a car that I get into
like I drove it here I drove an hour to
get here and I'm like
I don't think about it it's a great like
pseudo luxury car that looks good it's
comfortable enough Nimble enough and
it's not like a car that you ever I'm
like man I don't want to be in this
thing yeah I think of it as like as
we've done this comparison I thought of
it more as like a good GTI competitor
it's it's like the layout compared to
the golf is so much more intuitive and
it just feels so easy and effortless to
use that car on the inside
um and if you don't need the space part
like if you don't need you know a big
back seat and a huge hatch space like
some of the newer cars it is it's a
special car in its segment it just you
know again there's trade-offs Mazda
needs you know they don't have unlimited
money otherwise it would be even better
but it's a really good car for what they
set out to do
actually you want to know how old I am
Mark I'm b-58
oh yeah yeah that's how old I am that's
an amazing comment in the regular
comments just that's how you I mean if I
had time I would have Aid you this whole
thing uh AJ for 220 Canadian
um Genesis
G80 V8 or Genesis G80 V8 so 2013 or 2015
G80
the Genesis wasn't
the 2013 wasn't a Genesis was it wasn't
a G80 in 2013. whatever the VA Genesis
was in 2013. the first one didn't that
motor of a ton of problems wasn't it I
don't remember no it was a Genesis you
could do the regular Genesis sedan which
was a Hyundai had a V8 in 2013. I knew a
friend of mine in
I know yeah I know I didn't think I
didn't think it wasn't a j they didn't
switch over to the G G80 moniker until
like
anyway if you're gonna I don't know when
they cut it off because they made
revisions to that engine and I don't
remember when they made the revisions
sorry you know we gotta get on here it's
100 it was just called a Genesis in in
2013. but yeah it wasn't a Justice
yeah the first one versus the later like
the 2015 V8 what would you get
uh they made improvements from the
previous gen to the new one and then
they made updates again so the the
engine got changed three times and then
the trans got changed like probably yeah
this is the body style for the 2015.
personally I I'm I would just say 2015
because I think it's a far superior car
it's on the a way better platform it's
like the platform is like night and day
better so just go with the 2015
um and just be ready just in case have a
warranty on that engine
it's a great car though I love it Andy
and Abby the lab it's pleasure seeing
you guys both Joe and Deb
paying for Jack and Mark to hold hands
to the rest of the stream I will I will
grab Mark's hand right now the reason
the way I met Mark was that a singles
pottery class that's really how I did it
I wonder when do we have to stop holding
hands oh we have to hold hands for the
rest of the stream sadly uh your T
levels are too high for me and I have to
use my other hand so I'm gonna take it
back Andy and Abby the lab I'm sorry I
can't these dogs all they want to do is
touching all these dogs want to do is
cuddle and leave their hair everywhere
how could you have two animals like that
that you spend 90 of your life cleaning
up here
[Laughter]
yeah my T levels went up I started
shedding and now I don't have to deal
with it again now those those two
woofers Andean which is the one that
mauled me
uh I think it was it was Abby Abby yeah
it was sitting on the couch and
and Abby came up to me because she was
not trained properly and she clawed my
leg right through my jeans and I had a I
have a scar on my leg from that animal
now I can't be a model for the the
Kirkland catalog uh Colin nikritz for
seven dollars uh well thank you Colin
for your seven dollar donation thank you
Colin and thank you you had a question
yeah Jack would hold hands Mark uh I
would hold hands with you the whole
stream if you were the b-58 I would just
stroke you the whole time I should have
had a b-58 model here oh
um
Rick cule
uh wait what is this Mark no Arby's beef
and Cheddars blasphemy if you ask me
yeah I thought about ordering it I
really because I needed food because I
haven't eaten any of the peanut butter
and jelly sandwich wound up coming
because I can't you know
I want broke my all my gift cards ran
out
um Rick thank you for the 10 donation
noodles extra MSG it's an amazing name
thank you for the two dollars one is the
AI Jack uprising
uh the last AI Jack was out of control
in the last video which was probably one
of the most
physically exhausting videos I ever made
the Ram 2500 Ram video that three people
watched yeah check out the Jack AI in
that video if you want to see the future
of where he's going
um and I'll just leave it at that uh
Andy and Abby again for twenty dollars
what's with these animals what do they
want from me thank you Joe and Deb when
is the Carlos goson interview gonna
going to go in Live Well I I too have to
get smuggled into Palestine
I can't remember all this useless
knowledge anyway you know who I I will
figure out a way for us to get sponsored
for like 10 million dollars and we will
do a documentary on the Murano cross
Cabriolet and we will fly to whatever
country he lives in we won't survive
that
do you think his wife's gonna kill no no
we will get executed if we do
it's not worth it for a Nissan uh I
don't want to do it uh 10 for two
dollars uh why don't you guys or if you
review the Ford Taurus Show
I'm going to be honest which one the the
2010 one the one that people think not
the Conan O'Brien one but the the 2010
one the Yamaha one or the new one the
new one EcoBoost the one with EcoBoost
uh you know what funny enough Scott had
a guy that came in who was a viewer and
he reached out like six or seven
different times and this is when I was
like really getting started with this
stuff and it just it never happened
um
so yeah I don't know that it's gonna
happen I'd be curious to do the old one
more personally for me just because of
the I think it would be funny
and I could pretend to be robocup it
just they wouldn't survive your driving
oh no
dude you'd rip the shifter right out of
that column it would just rip off in
your hand the dude 365 continuing the
tradition of donating to Mark's
washboard abs yeah thank you by the way
thank you Tim thank you Deb and uh Deb
and Joe and thank you noodles extra MSG
Rick and now we're dealing with the dude
365. are you gonna get washboard abs
so I was looking at his uh his Avatar uh
did I am I gonna get washboard Rams I
already have washboard yeah that's why
you lost your hair all your teeth you
can't see my six-pack I'm sorry eight
pack under all this hair that I'm
wearing on my chest
that's by that's on purpose because
really I'm having trouble with all our
female fans lately recognizing me I'll
go places and they're like they call the
cops because they think I'm a serial
killer
there's this creepy guy walking around
the
the ice cream shop again the Cloudy view
uh for ten dollars thank you cloudy
gotta add them sponsors we are working
on it we are will we are going to try to
get an actual outside of Dell we're
probably trying to get an automotive
base sponsor this here thank you though
we are doing our best to make sure this
channel still continues to make
Financial sense I'm going to need a
sponsor for all my uh Scoops yeah
foreign sponsorship that would be my
dream no it had to be a real ice cream
place that's like corporate no I
wouldn't want to do corporate I'd want
to do something like so my old man is a
ice cream connoisseur like a genuine ice
cream connoisseur and he will tell you
about the different ways they're made
and what places he should go to or what
places you should you should go to
apparently his favorite place in this
area is graters which is surprising oh
yeah yeah he loves the uh the one
graders location in like Northbrook I
don't have to head over there yeah all
right Oleg thank you for the twenty
dollars thank you uh Graham Daughtry
thank you for the ten dollars I have a
launcher and manual and love it I have
an opportunity to buy a new RS3 and MSRP
do uh should I do it I can afford it
will primarily be my daily
if you can afford the new RS3 is a
badass car as a daily not as a track car
but it's a daily uh I'm behind here
thanks Andrew for the 10. I really
appreciate it thanks for sticking in
here and then of course Oleg thanks for
the the twenty dollars
um and that your your avatar has
a really Kick-Ass motorcycle jacket that
I would look good in
I'm sorry and uh Graham let's do it
sorry what's what's the RS3 should you
buy should he buy an RS3 he can afford
it
would you say it's a substantial enough
upgrade over on a launch around yes I
agree the RS3 the engine I don't care
about anything else but the engine is
great you get it I've this is one car I
haven't told you about that I thought
about getting an RS3 yes because because
the engine I really love that car for
whatever reason is like it's like the
same reason I like the type R because
it's a normal car with an amazing engine
and you can do everything with it it's a
little You could argue it's a little
small and a very expensive for what it
is but it is a special car if you can
afford it get it in [ __ ] green lime
green and then tear it up come peel down
my neighborhood and drive through the
grass and then flip me off like an Audi
driver and I'll salute you sir you know
on the track it's a bit numb I will say
you will feel like you've lost some feel
who cares yeah you have the engine the
five the five cylinder is pretty
spectacular yeah just put some stinky
tires on there and figure out how to get
more cambers and you're not driving it
on the track you're driving down the
street at 200 miles an hour
uh
tsukia for twenty dollars thank you for
the twenty dollars and Graham hopefully
that answers your question when are we
getting a Lotus Emir review I don't know
if so when things have an amazing
content one day I I've already talked
about this in this live stream once like
a year and a half ago a year ago we
approached Lotus they said yes then they
said no and then they tried to get into
the car in three separate times and now
they only have two in the entire United
States on the west coast I'm not going
to California to do
car
I'm not I'm not going out of my way I'm
gonna drag you in my luggage to go and
now I just don't care yeah I think it's
getting burned three separate times by
lotus trying to put this together it
means I just don't care as much
um that's the thing like I don't want to
do it unless they want to do it and they
don't want to do it so I'm not gonna
waste my time I got other I got the I
got dibs on the new rogue update
[Laughter]
um the other part of it too is I think
the thing that burned us is we had
friends who worked at the Lotus dealer
here and hearing what they were like to
deal with from a corporate perspective
you know you're like Gibran good good
dude you know loves cars we'll put up
with a lot of [ __ ] but you know he's in
a position because he owns multiple cars
despite buying a car 100 Grand you know
he has deeper Pockets than that that for
him if it goes down it's not a big deal
if you're a regular person who's put
together his his ducats to buy uh a
Lotus of mirrors that final like this is
the car I always wanted you're buying a
hundred thousand dollar car that you're
not going to be able to get parts for
your your dealer experience is gonna be
a joke if you even have a dealer locally
it's gonna be a huge pain in the ass
like it's sad because I love the way the
car looks I everyone I've met who's
driven it says it's you know navora it
means it drives great
you know it's hard to be like yeah buy
it unless you have a high tolerance for
BS
yeah that would be like my fourth car or
fifth car I think if I had to have one
and I wouldn't care if it broke because
I would never drive it
mk3504 thank you for the twenty dollars
I have learned a tremendous amount from
this channel love you
um that was the point of this right is
to teach people things about cars
and uh
sorry
Suka thank you for the 20 and the the
the Lotus of mirror review I and when I
do when this does happen by the way to
be serious if they if we do reconnect
with them and they're gonna willing to
give us resources other than just being
like fly in your own dime to California
and do a great video for us so we can
Market this car if it's not that I will
do it because I really do I love The
Vora I'm sure I'm gonna love the Amira
for what it is
um and in terms of
mk3504 I've he's he's obviously learned
a lot because I'm on this channel
thank you I appreciate it oh my God
because of me or it was everything
unless they're speed routing through
this because we have 10 billion
questions and I promise that I wouldn't
be here till the end of time Jonathan a
boot for 10 11 Canadian time to treat
myself with a toy option one Audi R8
with gated manual would like your
opinion V8 versus V10 in terms of value
proposition experience option two Lotus
Samira would you look at that another
Lotus Amira question Audi V10 R8 V10
done deal easy that car is [ __ ]
amazing the engine
whatever deficiencies that car has with
interior and all the other stuff that
that engine is a special experience and
as soon as you wind it out on a road and
you're cruising around you're not going
to care about anything else that 3.5
liter Toyota engine doesn't matter how
they make the exhaust sound is not going
to match it nor is a V8 although the V8
is also very good and the V8 and the V10
both go click clack when you shift
because it's gated shifter I think the
R8 with the manual is cooler than the
Lotus Amira by far I mean maybe it
doesn't look as cool but I don't know
yeah I mean they're both really good
looking cars but yeah the V10 is going
to hold its value anybody that has money
is going to want a V10 or if you've got
a coupe with a manuals V10
you could put miles on it it probably
sold that's all this value it's just
going to be a maintenance [ __ ] for sure
Andrew Ellis
um thank you again for that thank you
for the five dollars would you care to
share how you capture such high quality
audio it's a eyed all our audio is AI
yeah it's all yeah it's perfect yeah
we're not even here people yeah we've
been Auto generated by the Auto industry
and the Computing Computing industry
right now we're on a high compute
cluster running at 20 teraflops a second
the way we capture audio is through a
lot of effort this [ __ ] is like I
need to capture audio he's out there
with a microphone for like four hours
he's like Jack more I need more like
it's see Jack has the idea in his head
of what he wants to do but because I
have to edit it I know what it takes
well mostly what it takes to try to get
stuff done and when you actually have to
do the work of recording it I see one
Jack's on the card going back and forth
I just see the life sucking out of him
like Jack I need you to do it again he
drives by like so angry just like I
don't wanna do it again so it is it's a
combination of so here's the trick I'm
gonna tell you this you need to have
microphones that are high or low
sensitive look have a lower sensitivity
that don't blow out if you're if you
have a microphone that's too sensitive
it's going to clip whenever you do
anything so you need to make sure that
and they always need to be at the lowest
setting possible once you have all of
that you need to make sure that you have
good stereo Separation on them so it's
not just a Monaro is fine but if you
have a monorail mic then you need stereo
mic something to left and right and cut
it together and then really a lot of it
once you have the recording a lot of it
is just editing you have to be creative
enough of like how do I splice it
together and you'll see this Integra
video coming up
um I can't play it for you right now but
when you see the entire video look at
the beginning sequence and you'll see if
you Stripped Away and just listened to
the audio it's just a lot of clever
editing of like okay I have all these
sound clips and I'm gonna puzzle piece
them in how do I get them to sweep over
how do I get them into rear channel
because it's YouTube's two channel like
how do I get them to sweep to the back
channels if you have surround sound like
to give that effect of spatial less and
I also started cheating and using a
spatial mic as well which really helps
that experience but anyway think in your
head of what you want to see and what
you want to hear and how you would put
the sound in and it doesn't have to be
one-to-one it can be like creative and
that's that's how it works I'm not
saying I'm the best person at doing it
but a lot of it is just how do I make
something that's not the greatest into
something way better and that's how I
approach it Merrick D for fifty dollars
Mary thank you very much for the fifty
dollars love you guys my favorite sub on
YouTube when will you review the new
Lexus TX
I don't know that just got announced in
it yeah typically I mean we're we try to
be on everyone Alexis
um press launches we'll definitely go to
that one
um if you have any you know huge
questions about it find Mark or i on
Instagram and hit us up and we will do
our best to make sure we address those
questions on our review
and again Merrick thank you very much
for the fifty dollars Merrick it's not
marriage
excuse me why don't you use it properly
you don't ever slob jeans cooking over
there
it's Mark his name's Mark if you wanted
to ruin it for him oh hey Mark hey Mark
no thanks man I appreciate uh as soon as
we get it usually we didn't we're
probably not gonna I'm not gonna go to
the launch for it but personally for me
I'm really interested in it because the
grand Highlander is kind of like it's
cool but I'd like to have the Lexus part
of it so I think it's going to be great
especially when they actually get real
what your big complaint was what can you
do with standard dampers on the grand
Highlander you're stuck with
non-adaptive dampers and that's
something the Lexus is gonna fix this
ride quality hopefully it doesn't wallow
and Bob I mean even it does it'll have a
comfort mode but it'll ten to one it's
gonna ride a lot better than the grand
Islanders so I'm kind of excited for
that Michael turning thank you for the
five dollars Dale mcloyd will when will
you review the cx-90
we have put this will be the longest
cx90 video that anyone puts out with
like four hours interviews I just
finished shooting b-roll in a second
cx90 because the first one we got sent
was a pre-pro and there's something
wrong with it see I mean we we've
already reviewed it we've we've shot the
video now it's just up to us editing it
our goal is to have it out sometime this
month so the the story was is Jack went
to the launch he got all the interviews
that's what he focused his time on and
there's a lot
and then we're like we need the car
separately so we could do it so we got
the car and it it wasn't right there was
something wrong with it and we know this
is a pre-pro card yes so it's not
accurate to the car we told them like
we're not gonna do a video on this car
because we don't want them to we don't
want to hurt the car if that was just a
one-off so we waited to get a second one
which unfortunately took like what a
month and a half now yeah yeah so we're
like now we're way behind because we had
to wait for another one and Jack says
there's some of the same stuff but it's
better overall right yeah it's not the
the other car was massively messed up
okay all right so that that's the story
behind it you'll see the video soon
enough our London for twenty dollars as
I'm trying to accelerate through these
questions because we have so many of
them uh how's the engine in your X7
holding up any reliability issues our
London thank you for the twenty dollars
I'm considered trading my gheebly for an
m550i which I believe has the same
engine don't worry about it as long as
you get the m550i from the up the last
update yeah because there was the the V8
that
didn't it's like technical update too
when they went to technical update three
which was started in 2020 I think it
might have been in the Five series
before that I've had zero problems with
the engine zero problems yeah it's got
42 000 miles on it so yes it's going to
be expensive to repair I will warn you
that but so far this last updated V8
before they went to the hybrid one uh
because they just went to the hybrid one
M60 whatever it's been solid and most
people I haven't seen any complaints
about it at all so don't I would say if
you're worried about a Ghibli versus a
yeah zero issue
um Conor McMahon for five dollars what
do you think about the 2012 20 2013 Boss
302 Mustang would you consider doing a
review of one as the most track capable
live axle Mustang I love
the boss 302. I know you you always I
love that car I also love the
2013-2014
GT500 with 665 horsepower that does not
drive properly those cars are not the
best cars in the world but they ooze
charm if we ever had one
where the owner was all right with me
making my kind of video
but yes I would love love to do a boss
302 or really
any performance
version of a 13 or 12 Mustang yeah you
got an affinity towards these American
cars man like these muscle cars like
that I drove the Boss 302 and I'd agree
it's a cool car I'm sure I'd be just
curious because I drove it when I was in
Era yeah so I don't know how well it's
going to age because now all the new all
the new tangs are like they're so fast
so I don't know is it still gonna be fun
is it gonna be good if they're they I
don't know what Kobe did the prices are
well they're like 30 grand for 30 grand
that's a lot of yeah
the GT500 I think would be hilarious
because it's a bad car yeah yeah just I
think from a comedy perspective it would
be funny uh Christopher Keach I'm glad
he joined the loogie story Mark oh yes
thank you sir I put my heart into that
story uh
Krone 151 for 20 long time patreon
subscriber I've been using your car
reviews lately
since I have two friends in the market
for automobiles thanks for all the hard
work hopefully they find Value in these
videos man yeah and thank you Osa for
being a patreon subscriber that's deeply
helpful yes thank you so much really
appreciate it
uh Darian Mayers for twenty dollars I
bought a 991 career T CX-5 and now a
cx50 because of you guys referring to
the crarity specifically on paper the
992 doesn't seem like that much of an
upgrade so I'm curious to know what Mark
likes so much about the 992 versus the
991 I'm a Porsche guy so you know I'm
not probably the best person to ask why
do you like the new interior or new car
versus the old car well a lot of it is
interior exterior styling I I I I know
that's not a really great explanation
because you can speak to the mechanical
part of what's different better than I
can because I don't remember they're
literally it's it's a portion of my
Kodak my code activated I mean how much
different is it mechanically
I mean honestly because it's not the
double Wishbone car like the GT3 the
next one yeah
it's probably 10 15 better to drive
maybe from a mechanical perspective
objectively the one place that's worse
is actually the gearbox I think I think
the bushings because they took the
mechanism out of the GT3 from the 991
Carrera T but all they did for the 992
was shorten the gear knob the gearbox
isn't as good but mechanically again
lace generation dampers it's the
iterative learning process of you know
just making a car for a long period of
time it's like when we drove the 3.8 GT3
and the four liter GT3 bumping 991s you
know could you say it was 50 Grand
better no but was it a lot better yes
because the damper technology got better
the iterative design the the
the steering tuning the engine was
better it's like subtle changes to make
it a better
product are there I just I don't know if
I so to be honest it's not worth it no
God no I mean if you were if you were
trying to decide between both of them at
the same time then yeah the 992 is
better but the 992 is mostly better
because to your point it's an iterative
a little bit better mechanically just
overall but the styling for me is
objective and the interior is mostly
objective the interior is better the
layout is much better on the 992 it's
more cohesive it feels like a more
special space less generic but that's
not worth dumping that car forever a new
one over that you know you're Cross
Shopping it for like some really high
horsepower variant 911 sure but I don't
think the 992 is worth the Delta over a
991 career the only time the 992 is is a
big upgrade is in the GT3 because of the
suspension it's a much GT3 RS right yeah
you're talking about but you have to go
way high up and so to answer your
question you don't have to don't get rid
of your cards it's going to be the same
thing for you Chef Randy Marsh for ten
dollars glad to see my two favorite
takumis back on the live stream horse
yeah I forgot how long these were too
yeah I know I know my deodorants failing
again
what danger to manifold wasn't that the
uh yeah that's the Fast and the Furious
movie by the way you guys should
definitely check out that new Fast and
the Furious movie you know a stroke well
yeah I'd go in with a bottle of Etc and
ready
uh Bruce view if you started your own
car brand what would it be called what
would your first model be it'd be some
alpha numeric [ __ ] be like
azbd4 what was your first model B A zbd
would it be I like that question SUV car
Cub CUV for sure it would be all touch
screens because as we just found out
from a designer people like touch
everything yeah we don't even need to do
our reasons it would use the Unreal
Engine for every everything would have
the Unreal Engine yeah well at least the
marketing part of it no no everything
you don't need Don real you can just say
it has it
you know what I mean like just just say
it's got the owner you would have swipe
to steer because that's the next it
would have it would definitely have a
screen and the steering wheel with a
yoke it would have a the biggest Grill
possible yeah it would just it would be
no the grill would be a screen that way
you can change the grills oh yeah you
know you can change the grills digitally
you don't be I don't have to be stuck
with one Grill I mean you don't need a
physical Grill anymore Jack and it would
be like ten thousand pounds
well to start you could get the weight
package too that's the thing like you
could add well in your case you could
have the bullion Club package where it
just adds gold bars in the back
anyway that's and it would definitely
have exterior speakers that someone
brought that up that would definitely
have exterior exterior speakers for sure
so people can hear you talking your
business calls you can just hear me
outside
yeah you're already integrated speaking
of amazing cars you know the car that we
saw in Japan that I still dream about oh
here we go the Alphard the Alfred the
Alfred the Alfred van is tremendous and
if you own one I'm jealous all right
send it to the US I will dominate the
world with that uh Ryan Howard or rain
Howard sorry thank you for the twenty
dollars thank you sir AJ for 220 how was
the X7
great
uh we answered that question no I I
honestly I I like it I just don't like
how much it costs that's my only
complaint is it's all it's a lot to run
it's expensive in terms of fuel uh
consumables are [ __ ] insane did we
talk about the tires Jack yeah they cost
as much as your Z06 Corvette tires
they last like 50 like 50 000 miles yeah
on an exode which is like horrifying in
the insurance my insurance went up to
2500 every six months
X7 is more than on a Z06 I have to get
rid of this thing just purely based on
that I gotta actually call other
insurance companies because that it went
from if you go to the general with Shaq
yeah I'm gonna have to go to Shack I'm
just gonna drop the insurance off of it
and uh yeah I'm gonna tell an Ultima
behind me just or no tow it with the
Ultima I should
um yeah that no that car is going away I
can't I can't I just can't afford to
keep it Raphael for ten dollars in
September my car will be three years old
I was planning to replace it with a
Lexus is 500 but I'm loving the Integra
Type S what would you pick
I can't we can't talk about how the
Integra Type S drives yet but I'm sure
yeah that's that's a tough call do you
want a V8 or do you want a manual
gearbox which you know do you want a
driver's car or do you want a V8 boat
that's what you got to decide
man I can't they're totally two
different cars they're not even the same
you want drivers boat with so you want
driver's car manual you know Nimble
you've focused in the driving part but
also a good daily or do you want the the
type S is not a luxury car so if you're
expecting it to be like an is-500 in
terms of like that luxury car thing
that's not what it is
so yeah
get them both keep them both I think
you'd love them both I mean if you can
afford to have them both do it do you
want a manual do you want a V8 yes yes
that's the big thing if you want a
manual car then of course the Integra is
going to be way better forget full foot
for five dollars forgetful foot good to
see you again love the 987 review
looking forward to the 97.2 we'll
probably do that in full
um also picked up my first s2001 owner
for 24 000 US Dollars bargain
congratulations forgetful foot hopefully
you love your s2000.
yeah that that should be a a fun car for
you to experience uh Ginger Herman he is
team almond butter mark thank you for
the almond butter way more expensive
than the plebeian or plebeian peanut
butter peasants I know I should know as
I'm coming from a fancy gentleman I I
should have known coming from a fancy
gentleman such as yourself yeah the
almond butter is from Trader Joe's
though and I get this the one that's
extra salt or I guess it's sausage
that's I think that's that doesn't extra
salty but it's a taste it tastes extra
salty I like it because it actually has
flavors that's what you have wardens
cans throughout your year yeah I just I
just pour it I use it I don't even buy
salt I buy the water softener salt and
put it in my food now the pellets
God it's like just a horrifying picture
Morgan asked for fifty dollars Morgan
thank you very much which is a better
buy a new manual Camaro SS convertible
convertible or a Porsche Boxster SS
starts at 47 Boxster starts at 70. seems
like the Camaro on paper is a lot more
car for the money interested in your
thoughts
man
I don't think the Camaro is a great con
I know you want a convertible
um
Boxster
I would take the Boxster I hate to be
that guy if you want a Camaro loss I
mean it depends if you really want a
manual
um
if you can afford a Boxster oh they're
not even this they're not even like
comparable cars the box is really 70 by
the time you're done it's like in the
Box you're so Nimble and like light and
like quick feeling and the Camaro is
going to be like a boat with a
convertible it's just gonna be like V8
muscle I I don't see them being the same
I mean if you're if cost is not an issue
you buy the Porsche 10 out of 10 times
save money and get a C8 yeah but that
looks it looks horrible I agree like
this the narrow body car does not look
good you get a C7 convertible with a
manual yeah that makes more sense yeah
if you're already looking at a Camaro SS
convertible why don't you just get a you
can get a C7 Coupe pull off the target
top and you have a convertible
experience with a V8 it's a better car
and a manual he's probably doesn't he's
probably not in the lawn chairs like you
are no you know my weakness my weakness
for launchers
um I know man that's that's a hard one I
I wish I knew more I would definitely
choose the Porsche
it's not a better value but it's a
better car yes for sure thank you though
Morgan I appreciate it man thank you or
if you're female or male or thank you as
a human being a human being right sorry
I don't I don't want to cause any static
with people uh and we already answered
that one hey how old is Jack I'm b58
years old this guy he just turned 40. uh
rev Nation for two dollars how do you
grow
Ain't No Way Jack is a Zoomer jack is
not a Zoomer that I can tell you
did I just lose that question whether
the question yeah oh I probably how do
you crap [ __ ] sorry man oh that was my
fault
the question was how do you grow a
channel if you're new uh that was the
question yes that's all I remember about
the question
um how do you grow a channel if you're
new that is hard it's not like it used
to be everybody's gonna tell you oh you
just got to be unique
yeah persistence I honestly I don't know
we're just sort of it depends on what
you're doing right like it depends on
what you're doing such a broad question
how much uh
if it's car related
it's going to take a lot of work a lot
of work you're gonna have to start with
your own cars you're gonna have to start
with borrowed cars or something you're
gonna have to have a unique angle that
nobody else has or you're stuck doing
The Tick Tock Instagram reels thing
where you're trying to churn out
something in a minute and then it's got
to be different again like eye-catching
funny or
um from the YouTube perspective you're
gonna have to devote a lot of time and a
lot of Heartache to try to get out as
many videos as possible probably four
videos a week
um I don't know what you do
but this would be a sidebar conversation
if if you if you want more info just
um hit hit us up on email through the
website and the website has been updated
in 16 years or hit us up on patreon and
I'll try to give you a more detailed
answer
James Adler and that is a tremendous
photo James Adler uh Corvette Z06 or an
Arby's franchise thank you for the
twenty dollars but I did buy in a
launcher and partially based upon your
experiences pairs well with the Town and
Country
[Laughter]
amazing Amy Bowen uh thank you for the
twenty dollars Amy keep being Savage
geese love you guys your fad video is
still a fave despite
um it's shortcomings the car I love mine
I the f-80 is a car that I've grown to
appreciate even more and more well when
you see the new BMWs like you don't you
didn't know what you were missing I I
said this to Jack he's like oh I'd love
a new M4 I'm like just kidding f80 he's
like oh it's so much money
you're lucky if you have one honestly
it's probably like in terms of like the
e92 everybody gets nuts over the e92
that's like this generation e92 it's all
the modern stuff and good looks and
uh yeah you're lucky thanks
uh future clubs in the Horizon uh
something with Micah we're trying to do
I'd love to do something with everyday
driver Nacho Libre and also thank you
for the five dollars yeah thank you for
the five
um everyday driver yeah so it was
throttle house we got throttle house
straight pipes and Micah and uh Andy the
lab and these are nothing's planned but
those are the that's what we're going to
be doing I don't know what time frame I
can't even give you that one right now
Lane this is a man who who lives the
life that I want to live thank you
Elaine uh thank you for the 50 after six
years of living vicariously through your
review I purchased my dream car a 2019
gt350r thank you for keeping the dream
alive through school saving and
delivering the best car content on
YouTube congratulations on your purchase
line that's really it's such a badass
car we just had we just talked about
this car for like the past three days
Jack would just randomly have outbursts
man I would love a G2 just like randomly
he would say it I'm like dude what the
[ __ ] are you first in Europe because we
were working on the Mustang project yeah
that's true again it triggered all that
I mean I it is it's probably one of the
most memorable cars I've ever driven in
recent like modern history in the past
seven years we worked with a Ford
performance engineer we worked with
everyone who worked on the car but I did
the shop segment with the Ford
performance and our Ford engineer who
worked on the Mustang Dark Horse and he
pulled me aside on one of the best
driving car we've ever built is a gt350r
that car is so special it blows up you
might blow up your car Lane and if you
do I'm sorry but at least you have a
badass car in the meantime just make
sure you have some engine stockpiled
yeah that's what I told the engineer I'm
like you got to buy that car and two
crate engines to go along with it like
brake pads
but yeah I mean it's it's still still an
amazing experience and now you know
internally that it blows up they're like
yep that car has got some problems you
just roll the dice well in five years
when they don't have to warranty them
anymore they're like oh man we made some
mistakes on that one
[100:04] uh do you have any opinions or thoughts
[100:06] on the new Mazda hybrid rotary with the
[100:08] sin gas ethanol being the savior of ice
[100:10] over the next 10 years
[100:13] I honestly I I know they've been working
[100:15] on synthetic feels but I I really have
[100:17] not followed the details of it so I I
[100:19] don't know I mean
[100:22] I feel like every week something pops up
[100:24] about some savior of synthetic fuels or
[100:28] uh solid state batteries or urine from a
[100:32] donkey that comes from space I don't
[100:35] know like I I would love to see it
[100:37] because if that happened
[100:38] we would have some really cool cars
[100:40] again for sure
[100:42] sorry I don't have a better answer yeah
[100:44] I feel bad it's just something I haven't
[100:46] given a lot of thought
[100:48] um can uh Chris walks fast thank you for
[100:51] the two dollars can you talk more about
[100:53] the STI engine failure was the owner mad
[100:56] uh Dom is actually somewhere in the
[100:59] comments he's the guy with the ss209
[101:01] nameplate he told me today I forgot to
[101:04] tell mark this at first off Tom is the
[101:05] nicest guy in the world I'm not just
[101:07] saying this because we blew up his car
[101:08] he worked with us on the original STIs
[101:10] 209 video super good dude uh he wanted
[101:14] the car to be there as Marcus Beat to
[101:15] Death at this point and the reason it
[101:17] failed
[101:18] is did he get back to you yeah rod
[101:20] bearing on the fourth cylinder one was
[101:24] what failed and um prior to that the
[101:26] only issue he's had and this guy is like
[101:28] hyper and the whole car was ppf'd you
[101:31] know he's never tracked the car he's
[101:33] done all of his maintenance at
[101:34] dealerships prior to the car losing its
[101:37] engine like in the last Thousand Miles
[101:39] and Dom will probably
[101:40] be more accurate at least in the
[101:42] comments is that it uh it lost his
[101:45] Catalyst which probably means it was
[101:47] running rich and then you know this was
[101:50] the slight or eating through oil yeah
[101:52] one or the other well no he never had
[101:54] any burning oil problems oh he didn't
[101:55] nope probably like this I mean Brit only
[101:58] ran three laps and we're not talking
[102:01] about yeah and it's not on super sticky
[102:02] tours it wouldn't have been a GE load
[102:04] issue so it was probably it was already
[102:06] worn through the bearings it was just I
[102:08] just needed yep the small shove it
[102:10] needed Subaru problems they did warranty
[102:12] the car do I think they would have
[102:14] warrantied it if we towed it yes well no
[102:16] well I don't want to get into the
[102:18] nitty-gritty of it but we did it the
[102:20] right way like I think we did it the
[102:22] right way it was handled professionally
[102:24] he did the right thing with the
[102:26] dealership and we we talked about this
[102:28] beforehand or I had you talk to him
[102:30] about it like make sure the car has had
[102:31] its maintenance done there's no
[102:32] modifications they did a service before
[102:35] we did it ever he did everything you're
[102:37] supposed to do with a car like that to
[102:39] make sure that you get the any type of
[102:41] warranty work done properly without any
[102:43] fight and there should have been zero
[102:45] fight with it and even on our side our
[102:47] super reps agreed and they made sure
[102:49] that they hand hold the back end to make
[102:51] sure that the engine was coming from
[102:52] Japan that you know the process of it
[102:54] even the dealership was hand selling the
[102:56] process well and he's you know he really
[103:00] is the type of person that you would
[103:01] love that's the person you love as
[103:04] somebody that buys your cars he doesn't
[103:06] just care about the STIs he wants a
[103:07] regular Subaru he'll own multiple new
[103:09] Subarus like he really loves the brand
[103:11] and you know you could say what you want
[103:12] about Subaru they have their following
[103:14] and he it does the way that they handled
[103:17] this is exactly the reason it's going to
[103:20] keep him around as a customer it's a
[103:22] good lesson for Brands to build equity
[103:25] with people by doing the right thing if
[103:27] in his case he did the right thing with
[103:29] this car I'm not talking about somebody
[103:30] that went out and had you know E85 and a
[103:33] tune and like you know running you know
[103:36] different uh boost pressures and all
[103:38] this stuff no this car was stuck and was
[103:40] treated well and done all the
[103:42] maintenance so he deserved to get the
[103:43] treatment he did uh Flat 6 Fiesta for
[103:47] five dollars 80m going anywhere rs3s are
[103:49] going for seventy thousand dollars is
[103:51] 500s are going to seventy thousand
[103:54] dollars and two competitions are 60
[103:55] Grand car prices are through the roof
[103:58] you see this as the new normal until we
[104:00] all go broke in the finance and there's
[104:02] a huge financial crisis for the
[104:03] foreseeable future
[104:05] maybe yeah it's yeah I would say it's
[104:08] going to stay this way uh until the the
[104:11] credit prop credit thing blows up you
[104:15] know if you have banks that stop lending
[104:17] or interest rates start to get really
[104:20] really out of hand and they cut off
[104:22] lending kind of like they did that I
[104:23] know I brought this up before but they
[104:24] they did some cutoffs during covet Banks
[104:26] stopped loaning over fifty thousand
[104:28] dollars for cars just as a security
[104:30] measure big Banks so if they start
[104:32] capping car loans and people are like
[104:34] the only way to get car loans is like 10
[104:36] interest or something you'll see that
[104:38] that bomb drop but until that I I for
[104:41] this crazy inventory again right right
[104:43] crazy I don't see the inventory going up
[104:45] on specialty cars we've already talked
[104:47] to all these brands that are making the
[104:48] fun cars and they're making them in
[104:49] limited quantities and they've done that
[104:51] on purpose to protect themselves by
[104:54] making sure that they have a supply
[104:55] chain for the next like two or three
[104:57] years for a limited quality not they
[104:58] don't make money off the cars being
[105:00] marked up they don't they are so
[105:02] conservative in product planning they
[105:03] don't want to build more cars and have
[105:05] them sit and not get sold they'd rather
[105:07] build less cars and guaranteed they get
[105:09] sold someone I hate to bring up the ZO6
[105:11] again but they they make 50 a day they
[105:14] make approximately between 44 to 50 a
[105:16] day like 150 c8s regular c8s every
[105:19] single day they're building a lot of
[105:21] cars but also there's only so many
[105:23] buyers out there and they've planned out
[105:25] the the building of these cars years in
[105:28] advance that's how you get a supply
[105:30] chain right type R is the same way you
[105:32] said 400 400 a month that's it maximum
[105:35] so that's I didn't do the math I think
[105:37] that's under 5 000 units a year that's
[105:39] it that's all they're doing and they
[105:41] have no ability to expand the capacity
[105:43] out because they've already set up the
[105:44] supply chain for that number for that
[105:47] specific year now granted whenever their
[105:49] renewal is they can up it or down it but
[105:51] really for the foreseeable future a lot
[105:53] of this stuff is locked in
[105:56] okay that's a depressing statement to
[105:58] say but it's the truth uh tentra oh wow
[106:02] the question holy [ __ ]
[106:04] uh I just uh tentra 002 I'm debating
[106:09] between a Golf GTI SC base model and a
[106:13] golf r
[106:15] uh is the r worth the extra ten thousand
[106:17] dollar premium mainly as a spirited
[106:19] daily driver no track I'm in the
[106:21] Northeast so five to ten snow days a
[106:23] year
[106:23] I would take a Golf R over a base GTI
[106:26] any day of the week particularly if you
[106:28] see snow yes it's a better car there's
[106:31] no question about it and in any way the
[106:34] Golf R is a better car yeah yeah so it's
[106:36] a lot more money but it's a better car
[106:38] and you're gonna have a much better
[106:39] Driving Experience there's no way you
[106:40] would drive those back to back and be
[106:42] like yeah I'm gonna go for the GTI
[106:45] um point of view garage patreon here
[106:47] thank you for being a patreon thank you
[106:49] for the 10 donation
[106:51] uh thank you for the content have a 2021
[106:54] STI that I enjoy but I'm but I'm
[106:56] undecided between trading it for a
[106:58] manual Supra Camaro ssle for track work
[107:00] which you suggest Camaro
[107:05] he's coming from a Subaru though
[107:08] Camaro
[107:09] come here is a better car but he's
[107:11] probably gonna like the Supra better
[107:16] I would I don't know I but the super
[107:18] isn't like more analog car and the
[107:20] Camaro is more analog
[107:22] you feel more
[107:25] the super though like an STI you can
[107:28] tune to your heart that's dude that's a
[107:30] really hard one you you literally have
[107:31] to drive them both you you have to drive
[107:33] them both to really to know you'll love
[107:36] the V8 sound and the gearbox which you
[107:40] won't love
[107:41] is the fact that it's harder to tune you
[107:44] can't make 10 000 horsepower like you
[107:46] can in the Supra and the styling of the
[107:48] Camaro is kind of [ __ ]
[107:53] that's all the birds man there are no
[107:54] nuts out there
[107:56] uh hope so hopefully point a point of
[107:59] view garage that helps you I you're
[108:01] never going to be able to tell in a test
[108:02] drive either but the basic inputs and
[108:05] whether or not you like the manual one
[108:06] card versus the other or the character
[108:08] of the engines you'll be able to figure
[108:09] out on a test drive
[108:11] um Justified
[108:13] uh for five dollars a launch for ndct
[108:16] Wow or a Lexus ES 350 I live in Los
[108:20] Angeles is it worth getting a sporty car
[108:22] or should I just get the reliable boat
[108:23] and sit in traffic
[108:26] uh by the way thanks for being a patreon
[108:28] and I know that the SS question is a
[108:30] hard one but yeah thank you I appreciate
[108:32] it uh
[108:34] they're these are like completely
[108:36] different cars
[108:38] I mean if you're sitting in traffic
[108:41] and you never drive the canyons and you
[108:44] never go out and have fun
[108:46] you're gonna feel a lot more calm in an
[108:48] ES350 you're going to feel constantly at
[108:52] on edge in that Elantra and like you're
[108:54] gonna you're gonna be hating life in it
[108:57] it's also going to ride much rougher
[108:59] like I don't care you know the launcher
[109:01] end doesn't ride bad but it's not a
[109:04] smooth car and you're going to regret it
[109:06] in traffic if that's all you do just get
[109:08] an ES350 and find some other fun weekend
[109:10] car
[109:11] uh Chris walks fast for two dollars
[109:14] thoughts on the whistling diesels
[109:15] Automotive Channel
[109:17] I know little about that guy and I've
[109:19] never watched this stuff
[109:20] so I have no opinion yeah I have I
[109:24] honestly I've never seen one of the
[109:25] videos before I know that's bad but I
[109:27] apologize to him personally so you know
[109:29] maybe it's I I'm sorry I don't know [ __ ]
[109:31] about it
[109:33] have you seen that dude's baloney
[109:35] Channel he just puts bologna in his
[109:37] mouth
[109:39] is that a thing yeah it's my sub Channel
[109:41] no I don't know
[109:44] edgy for once TT it doesn't really I
[109:49] could picture there's someone being a
[109:50] baloney Channel yeah that's true yeah no
[109:52] it's not so far-fetched anymore uh my
[109:55] favorite new weird YouTube channel that
[109:57] I enjoy it's funny because I don't
[109:58] really watch car content Caravan of
[110:01] garbage they're two Australian guys that
[110:03] sort of do a podcast and they talk about
[110:04] old films
[110:06] it's it's actually pretty [ __ ]
[110:08] amazing
[110:09] um yeah you'll have to send it to me
[110:11] yeah I think I think you would genuinely
[110:13] appreciate it it's like our perspective
[110:14] on Films is it like modern stuff or old
[110:17] stuff it's old new all the above oh it
[110:20] does it does everything yeah they talked
[110:21] about Blade the original blade film they
[110:24] Revisited they talk about production and
[110:25] some garbage trivia associated with it
[110:28] blade still has my favorite stupid quote
[110:31] it's what is it some [ __ ] are
[110:33] always still trying to ice skate uphill
[110:35] he has just some nonsensical stuff God
[110:37] that movie's incredible dude don't get
[110:39] me started with movies right now because
[110:40] you know what I'm gonna bring up
[110:43] Wild Side Oh my God all right uh TT uh
[110:47] for ten dollars thank you for the 10
[110:49] donation I ordered a ranger raptor have
[110:52] you guys heard anything about press
[110:54] Vehicles when you might review one how
[110:56] much owning a raptor will boost my T
[110:58] levels well we saw one in person while
[111:01] we were at The Ford Place
[111:03] and Mark slug I rather drive a Prius no
[111:06] I don't know I mean you don't really
[111:07] like trucks
[111:09] honestly I I don't know what it is man
[111:11] like I can't
[111:13] I just it's it's just another truck if
[111:16] it's half as good as the Bronco Raptor
[111:18] you will absolutely love it I don't know
[111:20] when the Press Drive is gonna happen we
[111:21] pitched them on a documentary film on
[111:23] that car I doubt they're gonna it's a
[111:25] Bronco with a truck bed right I mean I
[111:27] don't know what it is Bronco Raptor okay
[111:29] it's a Bronco Raptor with a bed
[111:31] Bronco raptor is great you'll probably
[111:33] love it yeah if you like the Bronco
[111:35] Raptor I mean it's going to be the same
[111:36] crap right yeah same not crap you know
[111:38] what I mean it's gonna be the same
[111:39] Dynamics I mean it's not gonna be that
[111:40] much different maybe with the back end
[111:42] kind of unloaded it might be more fun to
[111:44] drive like I don't know but how much
[111:46] different can it be uh we'll probably be
[111:49] at the Press launch probably Jack will
[111:51] be at the Press launch Mark will be
[111:53] asleep I'll be on the beach
[111:55] when will different size geese t-shirts
[111:57] be available uh not for a while I I need
[112:00] over ten thousand dollars to order them
[112:02] and that's not happening anytime soon
[112:03] love your content from MN from Minnesota
[112:06] your CX-5 video got me into crossover
[112:09] what are your thoughts on the new
[112:10] eight-speed transmission jack tell them
[112:13] uh even according to the engineers they
[112:16] wish they had more money to develop it
[112:17] it's not bad it's not great it's just
[112:20] there and there's some weird smoothness
[112:22] issues with initial takeoff both in the
[112:24] p-have and the regular inline six I like
[112:27] the P have better than the base in line
[112:29] six
[112:30] do I think the Turbo S is amazing I
[112:32] still probably would take the P have I
[112:34] think in a vehicle like that I know they
[112:37] wanted to have the deck you're going to
[112:38] see it on a review there's a lot great
[112:40] with that SUV there's some things I
[112:42] would definitely have done differently
[112:43] but I get why Mazda did what they did
[112:46] and I appreciate that they developed
[112:47] their eight-speed in-house is it a cf8
[112:49] speed absolutely not
[112:53] um Edgar thank you for the 10 Ron by the
[112:56] way thanks Jaden
[112:57] Daniel Dowd thoughts on tracking a car
[112:59] with traction control on versus off I
[113:02] want to learn to correct slides at high
[113:03] speed but the risks seem so on track
[113:05] compared to autocross don't learn to
[113:06] correct high-speed slides on track do it
[113:09] on an autographs
[113:11] I love drifting cars around and the way
[113:13] I got good at it is through autocrossing
[113:16] cars like up constantly upsetting cars
[113:19] and correcting them on an autocross
[113:20] taught me car control
[113:22] at least you know in a non going to a
[113:24] driving school setup and then obviously
[113:27] the bottom round things that are
[113:28] cemented the ability to slide cars
[113:29] around when you drive with traction
[113:31] control off but you drive it not so you
[113:33] can drift the car around
[113:35] I drive it to the car doesn't interfere
[113:36] so the problem with modern cars is the
[113:39] traction stability control system is
[113:41] always using the brakes always using the
[113:44] brakes so like what a natural behavior
[113:47] of the car would be with everything off
[113:49] where the car might rotate or understeer
[113:51] more if you don't have it off
[113:54] the car is just always electronically
[113:56] controlling it so it's not the natural
[113:57] state of what it is so I turn it off so
[114:00] I can feel what the car is doing and
[114:01] having its natural rotation you're using
[114:03] the mechanical grip all that stuff you
[114:05] know what's going on if you're trying to
[114:06] drive hard with stability control on it
[114:09] will destroy your brakes 100 percent
[114:11] pretty much if you drive fast and if
[114:13] you're driving it fast and trying to
[114:15] slide the car it will destroy the brakes
[114:17] and tires within it will I mean
[114:19] literally it's just turn it off but to
[114:22] Jack's Point don't try to slide the car
[114:24] around until you know how to do this
[114:26] quickly recover the car learn how to
[114:28] recover the car from a slide before
[114:30] you've tried sliding it because you need
[114:32] to what you need to understand is like
[114:34] Jack does this all the time you need to
[114:36] understand how to stop a slide from
[114:39] getting out of hand so when you reach
[114:41] that point of no return you need to know
[114:43] how to settle the car down and stop it
[114:45] so you don't wind up continuing that
[114:47] slide into a fixed object so you need to
[114:49] be quick hand moving the car or looping
[114:51] the car especially if there's other cars
[114:52] on it so learn how to do the slowest
[114:53] feed stuff first learn how to correct a
[114:56] car and how to stop a car and then learn
[114:58] how to spin it or like drift it yeah and
[115:00] I would like outside of what we do on
[115:02] camera there's no one else on track I
[115:04] would never drift a car on a track day
[115:06] with other cars on track it just seems a
[115:08] good way to totally well yeah and if you
[115:09] if you lose it that's the problem like
[115:12] if you have somebody behind you that
[115:13] doesn't understand what you're doing or
[115:15] doesn't kind of like comprehend like
[115:17] placement of a car and you go and loop
[115:20] it in front of somebody and they just
[115:21] T-Bone you I mean it's just yeah you
[115:23] ruined your day and somebody else yeah
[115:24] anyway learn how to do it at slow speeds
[115:26] first man and then always leave the
[115:29] stuff off unless you're a horrible
[115:30] driver if you're trying to drive with
[115:32] the stability control system on it's
[115:34] just you're not going to learn anything
[115:35] you're going to learn nothing yeah
[115:37] I
[115:39] like if you have a really Advanced
[115:41] stability control setup like some crazy
[115:43] NDM mode or the the the PTM and of that
[115:46] it will save your ass and you will be
[115:48] fast it depends I think from an old car
[115:51] perspective like your type R or an old
[115:53] car but like an older less sophisticated
[115:54] system turn everything off if it's a
[115:57] really competent system like when they
[115:59] the PTM pulls spark and timing and uses
[116:02] the diff it doesn't use the brakes to
[116:04] save your ass
[116:05] if you're not confident in the car is
[116:07] terrifying to drive then sure leave some
[116:09] of it on I won't I don't blame you for
[116:11] it but I wouldn't turn leave anything
[116:13] totally on this is a complicated topic
[116:17] it's it's a complicated topic you can't
[116:19] learn how to drive a car with all the
[116:20] systems interfering because you don't
[116:21] know what the car's doing and you don't
[116:23] know what it's doing for you and you
[116:24] don't know like where the limits of a
[116:26] car is if it's constantly breaking for
[116:28] you so I mean again you have to do some
[116:31] type of driving school in a controlled
[116:33] environment where you're not putting
[116:34] your car yourself or somebody else at
[116:35] risk and a lot of that is starting at
[116:37] slower speed Maneuvers learning the
[116:39] learning how to stop slides and all the
[116:41] safety stuff before you go high speed
[116:43] and try to spin a car
[116:45] um and that's where I'll leave it but I
[116:47] I guess we can argue that for a while
[116:48] Tim thank you for your thirty dollars
[116:50] collectively between both your donations
[116:52] yes Jack and
[116:54] check Joe it's a guy who swings into
[116:56] your private DMS on Instagram spam to
[116:58] you but you guys uh spammed you with
[117:00] people sticking up the middle finger
[117:01] please accept my thirty dollars
[117:03] Collective leads compensation for your
[117:05] pain by the way guys you rock well thank
[117:07] you Tim Brown I appreciate it and
[117:09] continue to spam us on on Instagram it's
[117:11] it always gives me a slight chuckle
[117:14] Edgar thank you for the ten dollars
[117:16] what's the ideal Poor Man's four-door
[117:18] fun daily thank you wild frames again
[117:21] thank you Tim Brown thank you uh for for
[117:25] doing that
[117:27] um we're gonna try to get through all
[117:29] the last questions that we have please
[117:31] stop donating Chen please tell everybody
[117:33] to stop donating we'd like to go home
[117:35] and see your families
[117:36] and hopefully you guys have appreciated
[117:38] or enjoyed I don't want to see my family
[117:40] I want to edit I need to edit otherwise
[117:42] you're not going to have a video on
[117:44] Monday of artwork all right let's let's
[117:46] uh let's start going through these
[117:48] faster Mark let's do it
[117:50] uh poor what's the best four-door fun
[117:54] daily for someone who doesn't have a lot
[117:55] of money
[117:58] Civic SI yeah probably like an older
[118:01] City yeah I would say so that's pretty I
[118:04] don't know how much they are but yeah
[118:05] that would be good like like a K20
[118:07] equipped one that's a great inexpensive
[118:09] four-door car
[118:10] uh Fiesta ST Focus ST
[118:14] uh yeah if he has to St I don't like the
[118:16] fiest would be far more fun uh Nacho
[118:19] Libre for ten dollars what shot is the
[118:22] hardest to capture slash edit with
[118:24] interviews probably
[118:27] no I don't think so is that it to edit I
[118:30] mean well depends on what the interviews
[118:32] are is it some canned trash the hardest
[118:35] one is going to be that effects because
[118:36] it's in a different language
[118:38] um but I I would prefer to sit and
[118:41] interview somebody than standing out on
[118:43] track hanging out of the back of a car
[118:44] trying to get like all what's the
[118:46] hardest to shoot
[118:47] the track stuff yeah that's really good
[118:49] it's it's really hard it's like it's a
[118:51] lot it's just insane amounts of work and
[118:53] it's exhausting yeah it's rough dangling
[118:56] on the back of a car to get some of
[118:57] these shots I think the most frustrating
[118:59] part about these track things is you
[119:00] would think oh this is going to be so
[119:02] much fun because we have cars on track
[119:03] like I get when that was a perfect
[119:05] example we were rushing to get the
[119:07] Integra video done I'm like I'm gonna go
[119:09] spin some laps in the type R to set
[119:10] times and get data and I spent
[119:14] like six minutes stressed out trying to
[119:16] do it and then I got one lap in the
[119:18] integral one which is one lap and that
[119:20] was the that was all it was and anytime
[119:23] we do these big track comparisons you
[119:24] don't even get to drive the only thing
[119:26] you're doing is shooting these cars like
[119:28] not you're just trying to get every
[119:29] single shot it's just a time crunch so
[119:32] um I would say that the track stuff and
[119:35] then trying to edit uh the story stuff
[119:38] the Z06 video that you wanted to do with
[119:40] the factory was really really hard the
[119:43] the other comparison to the GT3 was
[119:46] really really hard that was it probably
[119:48] took two to three weeks to do that video
[119:50] just editing yeah it was a nightmare
[119:52] speaking of edits when you open the hood
[119:54] and speak about engine suspension parts
[119:55] can you please somehow highlight the
[119:56] parts you were actually talking about
[119:57] some of us don't know what control arms
[119:59] are etc etc uh we will do our best yeah
[120:03] the straight answer is why I don't do it
[120:06] and it's not that I know that I
[120:07] shouldn't do it is because I never have
[120:08] enough time to go through and that's my
[120:10] fault I'll I will admit that it's
[120:13] Corner cutting because I've gotten lazy
[120:16] with it and I don't want to take any
[120:17] more time to do it but if it's a
[120:19] technical video I will do my best to do
[120:21] it I've been working in After Effects
[120:23] and other stuff more recently to do
[120:25] graphical things that I need to do so
[120:27] you will see more of it the last uh oh
[120:31] [ __ ] super bash for ten dollars can you
[120:34] hear about the Integra Type S better
[120:35] than your type R better daily the
[120:36] Embargo drops Monday Honda will skin Us
[120:39] Alive yeah I can't talk about the
[120:41] driving part of it um you'll find
[120:43] everything else honestly you know on
[120:44] Monday yeah I'm sorry
[120:46] um the last for five dollars love the
[120:48] technical side content love to listen to
[120:50] your views while at work genuinely helps
[120:52] me to pass the time I work uh work 15
[120:54] hour shifts Monday through Friday man
[120:56] thank you that's a lot of work
[120:59] um yeah thank you man I'm glad we bring
[121:02] you at least a little bit of Joy
[121:03] hopefully you get fit one week on or one
[121:06] week off or something speed reader nine
[121:08] are you guys going to the Run sport
[121:09] reunion at Laguna in September probably
[121:12] not we typically don't travel for car
[121:14] shows just being honest uh thank you for
[121:16] the 10 speed reader it's not that we
[121:18] don't want to go we just don't have time
[121:19] if this was in a different life right
[121:21] now or like out of this I'd probably be
[121:23] more involved in that when I can
[121:24] actually enjoy some of it versus this
[121:26] grind that we're in
[121:28] blogmon332 is the vsst worth current
[121:31] market uh oh I would still have my
[121:35] uh 2016 Mazda 3 2 liter six-speed
[121:39] automatic as my daily yeah if they're
[121:40] not super expensive the fiesta sees a
[121:42] lot of fun man
[121:43] the same guy who talked about the 350r
[121:45] with us he dailies if he SSC because he
[121:47] loves it that much yeah that that it is
[121:49] those cars are really fun they're like
[121:51] there's not much else like them it's
[121:53] like the modern equivalent of like a
[121:55] really hyper aggressive CRX where you
[121:58] have spring rates of like 3 000 pounds
[122:00] it's just such an edgy fun car to drive
[122:03] uh your content uh iframes for 10 your
[122:06] content is inspiring in so many ways
[122:08] well you see a manual F-Type v6s rear
[122:12] wheel drive review also Emmanuel 987
[122:14] asks if Jack can somehow drag Mark into
[122:16] another Porsche the likelihood of
[122:19] getting a V6 F-Type manual is like
[122:21] non-existent I'd love to do a video in
[122:23] one we're probably never going to do it
[122:24] the 987 s the problem is the GT4 is so
[122:29] similar
[122:30] uh it's a 7 or 981 98 sorry 981s
[122:35] maybe it's just the the GT4 is so
[122:38] similar and we've done so many Porsche
[122:39] videos it's almost a derivative I think
[122:41] you know eventually we're going to go
[122:42] back to trying to find some older cars
[122:45] to do stuff because the new car stuff is
[122:46] just it's just so difficult to do some
[122:49] of these projects I think we're going to
[122:51] go back to it
[122:52] um just keep reminding us if you could
[122:54] Tim Brown for two dollars Boss 302 uh
[122:58] how about a Cobra R I love that car chin
[123:01] face who's our moderator loves that car
[123:03] if I could do a video on a cobra arm we
[123:05] can make it as ridiculous as our
[123:07] original hours the independent rear
[123:09] right I'm pretty sure it's independent
[123:10] rear and a giant wing on the back it was
[123:13] the same body as The Terminator
[123:15] Alpha back Brackley thank you again what
[123:18] if what viewer question or comment
[123:19] really most impacted your approach and
[123:22] career
[123:25] man that's a hard one what viewer
[123:27] comment here what viewer question I
[123:31] gotta give that one thought I think we
[123:32] both do like I don't understand the
[123:34] question what question did someone ask
[123:37] you that made you change your approach
[123:40] or impacted your career
[123:44] that yeah that's there's not one uh
[123:48] that's really hard though
[123:51] yeah I I would want to say to Jack's
[123:54] point I'd have to think about that more
[123:55] because I don't just want to give you a
[123:57] half-assed answer I think a lot of it
[123:58] has to do with the people that we talk
[124:00] to like viewers obviously in these
[124:02] questions that we get and adversity I
[124:05] think I would say that more as a general
[124:07] statement is like if I screw something
[124:09] up and somebody comes back and says you
[124:11] did this wrong or you should have done
[124:12] this
[124:14] um or even positive feedback I look at
[124:16] that as a sum or a whole of like how can
[124:18] I do things differently
[124:20] um
[124:22] I I think a lot of what I get feedback
[124:25] from is people's experiences where I can
[124:28] learn from people's experiences of what
[124:29] works and hasn't worked and what they're
[124:31] going through because that's that's
[124:34] definitely more helpful for big picture
[124:35] so I get a because you get in your own
[124:38] head I think all of us get in our own
[124:39] head of like Our Daily Grind but if you
[124:41] can hear other people's experiences and
[124:42] have them share like what they're going
[124:43] through it makes things much easier to
[124:47] think like oh okay this person's going
[124:49] through that or how are they dealing
[124:50] with it you've learned these tidbits of
[124:52] how they've dealt with situations that
[124:54] you maybe have never thought of so I
[124:56] think it's just the overall interaction
[124:57] with people that really helps and good
[124:59] and bad comments as well so many people
[125:01] have been asking us for is an NPC car
[125:04] shootout Mark I know I've wanted to do
[125:06] that forever the dream what what's the
[125:08] dream lineup for an NPC shootout is it a
[125:11] tracks an ecosport
[125:13] Equinox yeah like Equinox ecosport uh
[125:18] tracks there's got to be some other
[125:20] piles in there
[125:22] uh we never did in uh Luke thank you for
[125:24] the five dollars the reason we never did
[125:26] an all track Sport Wagon review is
[125:28] because we never had one as a press car
[125:31] it's just simply that I mean I think
[125:33] it's a great car A friend of mine
[125:34] personally actually owns one when she
[125:35] proceeded to blow up
[125:38] Kevin if you're watching uh
[125:41] you're an idiot
[125:42] uh what is the next question we have
[125:46] holy [ __ ] we have a lot of questions
[125:49] loud oh God I thought you like questions
[125:52] I do I just I need to find where we're
[125:54] at in the questions uh uh Herbert
[125:56] Martinez for five dollars currently own
[125:58] a 2018 Focus RS considering a trade
[126:00] anything in the current class and Market
[126:02] worth the swap for example Golf R or
[126:04] type R the only thing close to the Focus
[126:07] RS in my opinion is the gr Corolla but
[126:11] you the type R is better and the
[126:12] elantraan is also great
[126:14] yeah just put it in that list of order I
[126:16] I would drive a focus or sorry I drive a
[126:19] gr Corolla first and then the type R the
[126:21] golf bar is way too soft gladio 2 for
[126:24] five dollars if the WRX is a rally car
[126:26] meant to go off-road wise reportedly so
[126:29] stiff shouldn't it be soft to make
[126:32] off-roading smoother
[126:33] the streetcar is not a rally car
[126:36] hashtag
[126:38] marketing
[126:39] that's it it's it's zero percent a rally
[126:43] car I mean you could take it off-road
[126:45] and you'll end up on a tow truck
[126:48] will do a better job going off-road to
[126:50] recover you uh next question mark
[126:54] bullion boys Andrea uh isk 750 keep up
[127:00] the great work bullion boys thank you
[127:02] I'm sorry I asked I I never thought it
[127:05] was part of his name thank you 750 isk
[127:10] Andrew thank you Michael turning do you
[127:13] and Jack have more uh do you jack and
[127:16] Mark have kids we have kids together
[127:17] we've adopted a small family adopted
[127:20] Jack's Corvette
[127:22] we have Corvettes uh where uh just to be
[127:27] straight about this stuff I don't like
[127:29] to get into the personal life thing it's
[127:30] no no offense honestly just in a public
[127:32] forum like I'll talk to you somebody
[127:33] one-on-one about stuff but I don't I
[127:35] don't like talking about uh our personal
[127:37] life except for your child Diversity
[127:39] Program yeah with one kid in every state
[127:41] well yeah and I'm having some trouble
[127:43] with that recently is this that why
[127:45] you're bankrupt yeah pretty much the
[127:46] payments are getting out of hand I
[127:48] thought it was a good idea at first I
[127:49] mean Elon Musk is trying it but I
[127:51] definitely don't have Elon muscles Al
[127:52] Pacino and uh Robert Redford Robert Joni
[127:56] no yeah De Niro De Niro and uh Al Pacino
[127:59] both have inspired you to have kids in
[128:01] your late 80s yeah I hope yeah no thank
[128:04] you the last thing I want to do is that
[128:05] docs why docs the lamanca thank you for
[128:09] the five dollars why are the LX 570s and
[128:12] LCS still so expensive all the used ones
[128:15] I don't know because it's Lexus pretty
[128:18] much yeah I mean it's there aren't a lot
[128:20] of them and people love them the the LC
[128:22] is a good question because we're looking
[128:23] at the numbers of production and the the
[128:26] numbers they were supposed to sell 450 a
[128:29] month that was their target when they
[128:30] made the LLC and it's there were months
[128:32] where it did it but overall they're
[128:34] lucky if they sell like 100 a month so
[128:36] the inventory is really low and the
[128:38] people that have them are usually
[128:39] holding on to them or you have to wait
[128:41] for leases to come up yeah it just sucks
[128:44] I I agree they're way too expensive Sony
[128:46] Triple C thank you for the fifty dollars
[128:48] yes Tony Triple C thanks for the 49.99
[128:50] this guy couldn't even afford to give me
[128:52] the extra value he's an [ __ ] no Tony
[128:54] thank you very much thanks man I
[128:56] appreciate it you guys set the standard
[128:58] best car reviewers period thank you
[128:59] given the e-fuel efforts say it's
[129:01] perfected tomorrow do you think any ice
[129:03] manufacturer would continue once EB
[129:05] becomes the norm exotic and or more
[129:07] attainable brands
[129:09] yes I think as soon as there's some
[129:12] alternate fuel that works you're gonna
[129:14] go right back to having ridiculous
[129:15] internal combustion cars because these
[129:17] companies already have insane
[129:19] development history and experience with
[129:21] doing so so to throw all that away after
[129:23] 100 years or whatever it is
[129:26] um like yeah it's they're going to want
[129:29] to do it immediately they'll be like
[129:30] yeah who's going to be the first person
[129:31] to make another thousand horsepower
[129:33] internal combustion they'll be high
[129:34] dollar cars yeah they will but it'll
[129:37] trickle its way down to normal cars
[129:38] again I mean I hope it happens
[129:40] uh thoughts and reliable Ethan thank you
[129:42] for the ten dollars thanks I thought
[129:44] some reliability between the Civic SI
[129:46] versus the type R like two liter versus
[129:50] 1.5
[129:51] more displacement less PSI for the win
[129:54] is the two liter more reliable than the
[129:56] one five
[129:57] uh yes I think
[129:59] the initial 1.5 is with the dilution
[130:01] issue dilution issue
[130:04] um but the the 1.5s are more tunable you
[130:06] can make a lot of power out of them but
[130:08] they're still like the the issue with it
[130:10] is you have cooling problems then right
[130:11] I mean it's it wasn't designed to be a
[130:14] performance application it was designed
[130:16] to be an Eco setup so you have to do all
[130:18] this side work to make it more reliable
[130:19] whereas the two liter was already that
[130:22] already built for cooling and at least
[130:23] to a certain extent so reliability there
[130:26] I'd take the two liter uh mobster for
[130:28] two dollars I want to buy a B12 Aston
[130:30] Martin which do you like I like all of
[130:32] them as long as they have a manual
[130:35] DBS and V12 manager yeah I mean that's
[130:38] where that's where you spend the money
[130:39] on Aston is that type of thing Uh Kevin
[130:42] Patrick goulette
[130:44] uh cool hva Scirocco in the news this
[130:48] week question could you see a 18 GT V6
[130:52] with similar performance mods as an HPA
[130:55] Scirocco sorry not Soro Scirocco a
[130:57] Sleeper Car cool and not to be a thief
[131:00] magnet here in La you guys rock thanks
[131:03] I've been the facade gtv6 the problem is
[131:06] I've never driven one I think the
[131:07] chirocco is really cool but it's really
[131:08] just a
[131:10] to golf
[131:13] it would be a cool Sleeper Car
[131:16] but besides gtv6 I think this the the
[131:19] Passat has a really sleep regard aspect
[131:21] to it it's like it's sleepers you can
[131:24] get nobody would give it a second look
[131:25] and it would be a fun car I mean it's
[131:27] still based on all the same cars that
[131:28] are good from VW if you do the right
[131:30] stuff to it I just don't know man that's
[131:32] that's a tricky call if you want to
[131:34] spend the money on doing all that but
[131:37] there is something to be said about
[131:38] sleeper cars they're for sure that's why
[131:41] people like things like the Taurus Show
[131:42] yeah yeah for yeah I would
[131:45] I could see it definitely Luke Kramer
[131:48] for ten dollars hey guys if both are
[131:50] sixty thousand dollars would I get a
[131:52] manual Supra or a manual V8 R8 with
[131:55] higher mileage coming from a 10th gen
[131:57] Civic SI
[131:59] manual Lamborghini guard was my dream
[132:01] car and the super scares me with
[132:02] rear-wheel drive
[132:04] uh
[132:06] man there's a way can you afford to fix
[132:09] your manual V8 R8 if when it goes bad
[132:12] that becomes your question you can't
[132:13] it's gonna cost you sixty thousand
[132:16] dollars
[132:17] yeah the thing is when you come from
[132:18] front wheel drive you know to rear-wheel
[132:20] drive you essentially if you're driving
[132:22] like a monkey it's not going to go well
[132:24] it's it's going to be hard you're gonna
[132:26] you're gonna have to really switch your
[132:27] mentality and you got to do driving
[132:28] stuff you got to do auto garage or
[132:30] driving schools with it to learn how to
[132:31] to control the rear wheel drive part but
[132:33] once you do it's it's a really good
[132:35] skill set to know how to wheel a
[132:37] front-wheel drive car because there's
[132:38] some skill to it and you know when you
[132:40] switch over you'll you'll be very very
[132:42] happy that you did let's just put it
[132:44] that way the manual V8 R8 to be clear is
[132:46] cooler than the Supra but okay only
[132:48] afford sixty thousand dollars it means
[132:49] you probably can't afford to fix it
[132:51] exactly
[132:53] um
[132:56] oh crap
[133:00] nah man I'm sorry let me find it
[133:04] find it that's my fault I've done it
[133:07] again mark
[133:09] oh I found it killer Oz I sold my m2c
[133:12] and bought a gr86 was because of you
[133:13] guys thanks that being said should I
[133:15] drop my oil pan for our TV and switch it
[133:17] to 5W30 oil before I track it
[133:22] probably yes though the biggest problem
[133:24] killer Oz with the oil pan in that car
[133:27] is not even just the RTV it's that it
[133:28] can't maintain oil pressure and big
[133:31] sweepers so
[133:33] I mean
[133:35] you could roll the dice if the car is
[133:37] otherwise unmodified some dealers will
[133:39] warranty it if it pops some don't they
[133:42] should all warranty it
[133:44] um but at the minimum yeah drop the RTV
[133:47] and swap the five dollars I will say you
[133:49] one other thing if you're not going to
[133:50] drop the pan and do the RTV do not
[133:52] switch to 5 30. stay to 0 20 because
[133:54] you're gonna now you're gonna have a
[133:56] thicker oil that can't flow through the
[133:59] pickup if it's blocked or there's our TV
[134:01] so don't switch the oil until you get
[134:03] all that silicone out and maybe just as
[134:06] a safety precaution run 020 after you do
[134:08] the RTV run it for a couple thousand
[134:11] miles and then dump the oil again before
[134:13] you switch to a different oil weight
[134:15] just as a safety measure mobs you know
[134:17] and if you are going to keep the car
[134:18] gonna get an oil cooler get a baffled
[134:21] Oil pan this is only if you're tracking
[134:22] right you talk about tracking right if
[134:24] you're if you're doing Street stuff
[134:25] don't worry about it yeah mobster for
[134:27] two dollars favorite band brand of
[134:29] hemorrhoid ointment I got a I got a big
[134:32] one what what's your favorite what's
[134:35] your favorite hemorrhoid green uh Mark
[134:37] I'm not quite at your your illustrious
[134:39] age yet so I got a couple more years to
[134:41] worry Pro tip
[134:43] Walmart generic
[134:45] I mean you're gonna save two dollars a
[134:48] tube and you're gonna be blowing through
[134:49] that stuff no no ability some rubber
[134:52] bands and just get rid of them
[134:55] god dude thanks so much for your content
[134:58] thinking about an M2 comp for a fun
[135:00] weekend car mainly comparing to an E46
[135:03] M3 and an e86 z4m Coupe cheaper but no
[135:07] warranty thoughts and considerations
[135:10] uh the z4m coupe is a badass car
[135:13] I would take that over an M2 comp any
[135:15] day of the week
[135:16] wouldn't you
[135:19] yeah I had to think about it because I
[135:22] just I don't know I don't I've never
[135:24] liked the M2 I know everybody loves the
[135:26] m2s but I just I feel like yeah to your
[135:29] point the z4m is a far more unique Car
[135:32] experience and the engine's incredible
[135:34] yes
[135:35] oh man I read this question earlier and
[135:38] it's a ct5e black Wing my my pants are
[135:40] getting tight mark Josh burnington thank
[135:43] you for the ten dollars or Bennington I
[135:45] apologize does the ct5e Black Wing
[135:47] really have the capability to replace
[135:49] two or more specialized experiences for
[135:52] example a hot hatch for every day and
[135:54] dedicated race car like an Exige for
[135:57] track work no it does not it does not
[136:00] have the ability to replace an Exige it
[136:03] does have the ability to replace a hot
[136:05] hatch and like a a luxury car it's not a
[136:10] track car it is a big boat but if you
[136:13] have the money to drive one every single
[136:15] day and you can drive it like a monkey
[136:16] there is no better car than the ct5v
[136:19] Black Wing
[136:20] I would not agree with you but I you're
[136:23] wrong
[136:25] supercharged it's another one of these
[136:27] huge cars that relies on every single
[136:29] electronic piece to keep it going fast
[136:31] on the track yeah you just turn
[136:33] everything off no I'm just saying it's
[136:35] like it's so fast on a track it just it
[136:38] is bewildering but it's using all the
[136:40] electronics to make it go fast but it
[136:42] does not feel good to do it it's funny
[136:44] you're gonna set a fast lap time but
[136:47] you're going to look at your tires and
[136:48] your brakes and you're like
[136:49] why did those go away so quick
[136:51] to spend five thousand dollars to do
[136:54] that after like three times at the track
[136:56] Mark I went around turn one
[136:59] in the ct5v black one with everything
[137:02] off and I could not see behind me
[137:04] because there was so much smoke and I
[137:06] don't care about anything else you're
[137:07] saying other than the fact that that car
[137:09] will do that while driving it flat out I
[137:12] literally felt like I was in a yacht
[137:13] going flat out down the track it was an
[137:16] incredible experience
[137:18] my GM microchip is just a throbbing but
[137:21] I [ __ ] love that car so much so much
[137:25] this guy's nuts
[137:27] it's not that good
[137:29] it's good but it's not that it's
[137:31] incredible just it's not exactly it's
[137:33] gonna replace an exesia on the track I'm
[137:35] sorry even though it's slow it's
[137:38] Nothing's Gonna feel like that
[137:40] no and Dr Grover I did not have to pay
[137:43] for the brakes and the tires after that
[137:45] that's why I think it's amazing the
[137:46] reason of course yeah you had to pay 40
[137:48] wouldn't be doing that oh [ __ ]
[137:52] oh [ __ ] no streaming oh there we go
[137:56] let's see if we can get this done in 10
[137:58] minutes Mark we only have a couple more
[137:59] questions I grew up around thank you for
[138:02] the twenty dollars uh I grew up with a
[138:05] family of Toyotas and Lexus and I just
[138:08] bought a loaded is-350 over an A4 TLX
[138:11] which I know you guys think are
[138:12] technically Superior what are your
[138:14] thoughts on spending money on this kind
[138:16] of emotional connection to a brand new
[138:17] style
[138:23] I'll let you leave this one Mark I think
[138:25] I I really like the is-350 I don't have
[138:28] a problem with that I would rather have
[138:29] it over it well the TLX is a tough one
[138:32] uh just because I think the all-wheel
[138:34] drive system is really good but there's
[138:36] something about again it's about this
[138:38] Toyota
[138:39] it's the Toyota Lexus mentality you're a
[138:42] different person if you like these
[138:43] because you're valuing different things
[138:45] about it that's why I like the is-350 I
[138:47] think it's a unique car it's not trying
[138:48] to be the other cars
[138:51] um what about the emotional part of like
[138:52] I think there's a lot of emotion to that
[138:54] car it's not the best engine it's not
[138:56] the gearbox but there's something unique
[138:57] about it there's something uniquely
[138:59] Japanese and Toyota about it and there's
[139:02] that's an intangible about buying cars
[139:04] you know people don't just buy it
[139:05] because like you know it goes around a
[139:07] corner faster it's quick in a straight
[139:09] line or whatever that that's why I like
[139:10] it it's not really you're feeling
[139:12] something else that's not measurable
[139:15] um
[139:17] but yeah that's what I'm saying oh
[139:19] that's all I'm gonna say
[139:21] George Ivan thank you for the twenty
[139:23] dollars the best thing about your
[139:24] channel is not is not Mark's granddad's
[139:27] story
[139:30] but honesty and transparity transparency
[139:32] you guys bring to auto reviews thank you
[139:35] for everything you do much love from
[139:36] Texas George thank you very much for the
[139:39] twenty dollars yeah and the kind words
[139:40] man yeah thank you obviously uh if
[139:42] you're going back and watching the
[139:43] beginning when I talked about my
[139:44] grandfather I you're gonna have to
[139:46] obviously not take my word seriously
[139:48] because I think I mixed up what I said
[139:50] about the best thing that happened to us
[139:51] it was a stroke that's not what I meant
[139:54] it was the story behind it
[139:59] yeah no anyway that's what happens when
[140:02] you do this stuff live but anyway nobody
[140:04] cares it's it's still funny Extinction
[140:06] 575 you guys are phenomenal thank you
[140:09] for the hundred dollars by the way that
[140:11] is a big boy donation uh you are very
[140:14] kind for doing that uh we can never
[140:16] repay you but um we'll pay you when
[140:19] we're extinct we're gonna be extinct
[140:22] soon thank you so much I appreciate it
[140:24] man uh you're the reason I bought a
[140:25] second car dc5 Integra and became a car
[140:27] person in general really hope you guys
[140:29] keep up the amazing work we are
[140:31] definitely trying extinctions so thank
[140:33] you very much for the 100 donation yeah
[140:35] thank you uh be curious to see what you
[140:36] think of the upcoming uh uh Integra and
[140:39] Honda videos and stuff I don't know if
[140:41] you're gonna like the new ones but
[140:43] um I'm glad that you found the bug and
[140:45] hopefully you don't go broke with your
[140:46] car hobby uh not your Libre for ten
[140:49] dollars so a software engineer and a
[140:51] mechanical engineer are you looking for
[140:52] an ee
[140:54] um not yet if if I somehow land uh 10
[140:58] million dollars with the sponsorships
[140:59] I'll have you electrically engineer all
[141:01] over cameras
[141:02] but no honestly not sure thank you for
[141:04] the ten dollars yeah I if if I had extra
[141:08] money I would have so much more help
[141:10] definitely Doug for two dollars you uh
[141:13] own an ATV or motorcycle anymore I used
[141:16] to own a motorcycle Mark doesn't own
[141:17] either yeah I don't own any I'm trying
[141:20] to pair back my uh except you own how
[141:22] many [ __ ] uh snowmobiles and uh
[141:25] skidoos do you own that's I'm not even
[141:27] jet skis I'm not getting into that I
[141:30] mean I told Jack about how I was gonna
[141:33] probably kick the bucket but I don't
[141:34] want to get into that story because it's
[141:36] kind of actually kind of gets personal
[141:38] so I don't want to go there he his dream
[141:40] in life is to ride a jet ski around to
[141:42] make around McHenry to go to Blarney's
[141:45] and then get it stuck on a sand barge
[141:48] and die of a brain aneurysm that just
[141:50] fall fall asleep or just pass out and
[141:52] fall off my jet ski so they can recover
[141:55] my body and my last thing is my lime
[141:57] green vest going to a wet t-shirt
[142:00] contest at Blarney's
[142:03] uh Brazen rain Shut Up And Take My Money
[142:06] well Brazen thank you for the two
[142:07] dollars Marshall D for five dollars
[142:10] uh what do you guys think about mid odds
[142:13] to Mid 2010 Maseratis like the quantity
[142:17] and the Gran Turismo with the ZF
[142:20] um I've heard there's sneaky good picks
[142:25] all right I will tell you my Maserati
[142:27] story Mark Shut Up And Take My Money
[142:28] thanks for the two dollars bruh you have
[142:31] a good Maserati story what's the
[142:34] I keep I keep uh going back to these old
[142:36] ones man it's the last our very last
[142:39] question oh wow okay cool
[142:41] uh Marshall D 2010 Maseratis like the
[142:45] Quattroporte and the Gran Turismo the
[142:47] Cooper the synonym with the ZF I've
[142:49] heard they're good picks would you ever
[142:51] own a 20 odds Maserati
[142:59] I don't know like it's weird like some
[143:02] of these cars if I was in a different
[143:04] place in my life I probably would just
[143:06] this just to do it like some of these
[143:09] not those specifically
[143:12] um
[143:14] the quadrupt Quattroporte and the
[143:18] I don't know man what do you think would
[143:20] you drive those
[143:21] if you just had like throwaway money for
[143:24] some of this stuff would you ever buy it
[143:27] I have no emotional connection
[143:29] whatsoever to the Maserati watch
[143:31] reporting that's a problem I don't know
[143:32] man I think the problem with those cars
[143:34] is there's so much money to run while
[143:35] they sound great they're not a sports
[143:37] car experience
[143:39] I don't know yeah that's a tough one I
[143:41] see them once in a while and I'm like
[143:44] um I'm like there's something about him
[143:47] but not enough for me to to go in on
[143:50] something like that
[143:51] apparently we missed someone's question
[143:53] how dare you I probably deleted it on
[143:56] accident
[143:57] uh it's a question from frames wild
[144:00] frames back
[144:01] a while ago
[144:03] uh if I didn't answer your question or
[144:06] if we didn't answer your questions find
[144:07] us on it on Instagram or via our email
[144:10] link to ask them away so
[144:13] um if we didn't answer something I
[144:15] apologize and I will personally kill
[144:17] chin face for missing his question
[144:23] but with that I also wanted to thank all
[144:25] of you guys for sticking around for as
[144:27] long as you have this was an over two
[144:30] and a half hour process
[144:32] and is there anything else you want to
[144:34] talk about Mark before we wrap this up
[144:35] so you can get back to editing the
[144:37] world's longest Integra type yeah I
[144:39] gotta finish unfortunately the only
[144:41] reason I'm not keeping this going longer
[144:43] is I have to finish editing tonight and
[144:44] I'm gonna be up super late
[144:46] um there's one more question that came
[144:47] in
[144:49] um from Michael any thoughts on the type
[144:51] R as your ownership matures I like the
[144:53] car more now than when I got it which is
[144:55] a good sign I hope that I'm able to keep
[144:57] it
[144:58] um I've really enjoyed driving it and I
[145:00] want to keep it nice
[145:02] uh it's it's just uh it's the same thing
[145:05] in the review if you watch the last
[145:07] review I'm gonna have another video
[145:08] about like the just the this car itself
[145:11] so I'll I don't want to bore you with a
[145:13] lot of it but yeah I do like it a lot I
[145:15] I've liked it
[145:16] as a regular car
[145:18] um every time I get it and I really
[145:19] enjoy the drive it's it's comfortable it
[145:21] does everything that a normal car does
[145:23] and it's somewhat fun to drive and a lot
[145:25] of it has to do with the manual trans
[145:26] I'll be honest like getting back in a
[145:29] car with a good manual transmission
[145:30] again is is definitely a big deal
[145:34] um so that's that's kind of where I'm at
[145:36] with it
[145:38] okay
[145:39] well with that I uh just any closing
[145:42] thoughts anything you know to cover as
[145:44] we're going into the next couple weeks
[145:46] what do we got coming out so its Monday
[145:48] and ticker Type S is Monday Friday is
[145:50] probably MDX Type S or wrap-up video on
[145:53] that following week will be Mazda 3 wrap
[145:56] up so one of the earlier questions was
[145:59] uh Mazda 3 and then so MDX Type S final
[146:04] Integra Type S video launch video
[146:08] cx90 oh yeah cx90 Mazda3 Mazda3 Subaru
[146:12] Crosstrek we have a cross track we're
[146:14] shooting a Lamborghini at the end of the
[146:16] month we finish out our Mustang project
[146:18] next month is there anything else we the
[146:21] X7 I have to finish an X7 video like
[146:23] ownership experience with it but that's
[146:25] that's about it and then I have to edit
[146:26] the NSX video which is going to take me
[146:28] over a month yeah so with that guys I'm
[146:31] gonna let Mark get back to and uh
[146:34] uh editing the Integra Type S I will
[146:37] pound my chest for you young barbecue
[146:40] the next time I have a V8 powered
[146:42] vehicle to pound my chest for you in but
[146:44] with that I think we'll end this
[146:46] broadcast yeah thank you so much
[146:47] everybody for coming in I know this is a
[146:49] big time commitment and hopefully it was
[146:51] somewhat entertaining you got to learn
[146:53] something from it and uh we're gonna try
[146:55] to do another one of these next month
[146:57] where I have more time once we're done
[146:58] with these projects we'll be able to
[147:00] cover more content and obviously getting
[147:02] to more relay questions and stories and
[147:04] stuff of like if we have a little more
[147:06] time I think when we originally
[147:07] scheduled this we thought we'd have more
[147:09] than two hours to talk to you guys yeah
[147:10] and our plan is to do this more often
[147:12] probably
[147:14] or later we'll probably pull you guys to
[147:17] figure out what day makes the most sense
[147:19] to do uh live stream so we can hit up as
[147:22] many people as possible sometimes we do
[147:24] it when we get five or six thousand
[147:26] people watching or sometimes we get a
[147:27] thousand so I want to make sure we can
[147:28] get as many people together to answer
[147:31] your questions at once if that makes
[147:33] sense I I actually really enjoy doing
[147:35] this I know it just takes forever and
[147:36] I'm sure most people are bored but I
[147:38] this is like the best this is the
[147:40] closest I get from interacting to people
[147:42] on here
[147:43] yeah honestly because when when are we
[147:45] ever going to get to to do anything
[147:47] uh the the meats we just don't have time
[147:49] to go to meats and stuff so it kind of
[147:51] sucks
[147:52] but anyway yeah thanks again guys thanks
[147:54] again see you later
