# How to Profit On the World Cup Using Polymarket [My Strategy]

> Source: [How to Profit On the World Cup Using Polymarket (My Strategy)](https://youtube.com/watch?v=ih19IXfqUvM)

## Summary

The video outlines a strategic approach to profiting from FIFA World Cup 2026 matches using prediction markets like Polymarket. The presenter shares specific tactics for group-stage games, betting against underdogs, and total goals markets, plus a recommendation for a mobile trading app. The content is aimed at crypto and sports betting enthusiasts looking to capitalize on the tournament.

### Key Points

- **World Cup as a Financial Opportunity** [00:01] — With prediction markets now mainstream, the FIFA World Cup can be monetized like never before, using strategies adapted from the Champions League, Premier League, and Europa League.
- **Omen X: Leverage Trading** [01:02] — Omen X is a leverage prediction market platform. Unlike Polymarket, it allows leveraged positions, e.g., buying England at 10 cents and profiting if they rise to 15-20 cents.
- **Massive Volume on Polymarket** [01:48] — World Cup matches are already drawing huge volume, such as 1.9M and 1.3M dollars for Mexico vs South Africa and Korea Republic vs Czechia, signaling a massive month.
- **Strategy 1: Exploit Group Stage Mismatches** [02:35] — Group stage matches are easier than knockout rounds. Favorites like Spain, Germany, or Argentina are heavily favored, offering clear opportunities to capitalize on superior teams.
- **Strategy 2: Bet 'No' on the Underdog** [03:42] — Instead of predicting the winner, predict who won't win. Betting 'No' on an underdog pays if they lose or draw, protecting against costly ties and upsets.
- **Example: Canada vs Bosnia** [04:53] — Canada is likely to win, but you can get 80% odds that Bosnia won't win. This edge is valuable because soccer favorites don't always win, and draws happen.
- **Hedging with 'No' Bets** [05:31] — Taking 'No' on underdogs in lopsided matches can yield repeated 10-20% wins and scale your bankroll, especially with draws or upsets.
- **Strategy 3: Total Goals Markets** [06:01] — Lopsided World Cup matchups produce many goals. For example, Germany vs Curaçao is projected at 4.5 goals; you can take over 3.5 at 65% probability.
- **Strategy 4: Use the Share App for Mobile Trading** [07:54] — The Share app provides mobile access to Polymarket, allowing you to place bets and follow sharp traders. Convenient for matches scheduled at various times.
- **Expect Upsets and Stay Tuned** [09:21] — The channel will offer extensive World Cup coverage, live trading, and community picks. Upsets are inevitable, so these strategies help protect capital and generate consistent profits.

### Conclusion

The presenter emphasizes that betting on World Cup matches via prediction markets can be lucrative if you apply these three core strategies — exploiting group stage mismatches, betting against underdogs, and using total goals — while leveraging the Share app for convenience. Despite inevitable upsets, these tactics are designed to avoid losses and secure steady gains.

## Transcript

The FIFA World Cup 2026 is officially here and I think for the first time ever with how mainstream prediction markets have gotten, I think that people can financially capitalize on the World Cup like never before. So, in this video, I'm going to go over my exact strategy,
how I plan to scale up and profit during the FIFA World Cup, utilizing some of the same strategies that I've profited in the Champions League, in the Premier League, in the Europa League, with just small tweaks to fit what is happening this summer with the FIFA World Cup. So,
we're going to go over that, my full strategy, and of course, what you can expect throughout the World Cup on this channel. So, without further ado, let's go ahead and jump into it. Guys, if you're new to the channel, like the video down below and subscribe for more. Every single
week, Monday through Friday, we have you covered with all the information you need to win in the crypto markets, in prediction markets, and more. And first and foremost, a big shout out to our sponsors for the channel. And of course, today I want to talk about Omen X because I will be
actively using Omen X throughout this World Cup. It is a leverage prediction market platform. So, if you use Polymarket, there is no leverage on predictions on Polymarket. But this is a cool
platform because you can go in here if you think England is going to have a good World Cup. They're at 10 cents. You can leverage trade them up and eventually if they get up closer to 15, 20 cents, kind of like where we see France or Spain, you can profit quite nicely on those positions. So,
we will definitely be utilizing Omen X throughout the FIFA World Cup. Hit the link in the description down below to check out Omen X. And let's go ahead and jump right into the video. Of course, on Polymarket, you can just see the World Cup is going to be a massive volume pull.
All of these matches are already pulling in 1.9, 1.3 million dollars in volume. And these are just tomorrow's matches between Mexico and South Africa and Korea Republic versus Czechia. So this is going to be a massive, massive month whenever it comes to Polymarket predictions
and really just in general the whole world, all eyes are going to be on the FIFA World Cup. But I do think that there's so much opportunity here to profit throughout this month. We're going to talk about that in this video and I'm going to make it very quick. Okay,
we're not going to waste any time. I'm not going to put filler. I'm not going to explain what prediction markets are in this video. We have plenty on this channel to go over that. But I just want to go over, you know, step by step how I plan to profit on this World Cup.
So number one, first and foremost is take advantage of the group stage matches to the best of your ability. Okay? Obviously, these are the matches similar to the Champions League that
happened before the knockout stages. These are the easier matches. These are the ones they got grouped into. You're going to see a lot of times when Spain or Germany or Portugal
or Argentina are massively favored, it's because some of these matchups just, they're going to be a little bit skewed. But there's going to be a lot of opportunities to capitalize on just the superior team going up against someone who just really doesn't match up at all. So take
advantage of these group stage matches because they are not going to be nearly as tricky as the one-off one match knockout rounds that we're going to see later on when it's maybe Brazil,
Argentina or Germany or Spain or France matching up against each other in the future. So similarly to Champions League, similarly to Europa League, these early matches are going to be your friend and this is where you can really buff up your bankroll if you play it right.
But number two, and I think this is super important to point out, is you don't always have to predict who's going to win. You can also predict who isn't going to win
a match. Okay? And some of them will end up being expensive. But whenever there's a tie in soccer, if you go on Mexico tomorrow against South Africa, and let's say this game is one to one, you know, I'm just spitballing here. That's not really my prediction on this game. But let's say the
game's one to one. Both people who take Mexico and South Africa, they lose. So, if you're looking at that at this point in time, you can actually go in on South Africa no and
be able to say, "Okay, I think Mexico is a far superior team, but South Africa, I don't really think they have a chance to win. They might tie this game which could really screw over the people that are taking Mexico at 70 cents." But you can actually say no to its squad and actually get
odds on that. And if it's a draw or if South Africa loses, you still win that position. Let me also say with Canada for example, I do think Canada beats Bosnia here,
you can get it at 80% that Bosnia won't win this match. It's a big edge because things happen in soccer. Like the favorites don't always win. There's going to be some shocking upsets. There's
going to be some shocking draws like ties where a far superior team doesn't come out with a win. And I think that some of these matches will be much better suited if you take no on the underdogs
in these big favorite matches because I think that is setting yourself up to really be able to scale, you know, a 10%, 15, 20% win over and over again on some of these plays on the no's. I think that
you have a good chance on those as opposed to always just going yes on the favorites. Okay. bankroll because they are looking into, okay, I think that Canada's going to win this match,
USA is going to win this match. I think Switzerland's winning this one. There will be upsets and there will be draws. So, play it safe and utilize no's on the big underdogs. I think that will really help you whenever you are looking into these matches.
Number three is total goals. Some of these really lopsided matchups in the World Cup, there's going to be a lot of goals. Like when we go look here, like Germany versus Curaçao,
I mean, Germany's going to score a handful of goals here. Sweden versus Tunisia. I wouldn't be surprised if the Swedes put up some goals. There's going to be some lopsided matchups. just scroll over here to Germany and Curaçao. You can see they're projecting four and a half goals.
Most of that's going to come from Germany, but you can actually buff this down to three and a half. I would not be surprised if Germany scores four or five goals here by themselves. So, you can get over three and a half at 65% on these lopsided matchups because goal count
does matter in these group stages. So, definitely utilize total goals and then going against the underdogs. So, no, the underdog won't win because it will save yourself if you're thinking that a
favorite's going to win. The draw is still a win for you at that point. Or if the favorite wins, you still win on going no against the underdog. And then, of course, these goals. There's going to be some matches like, I'll just scroll to the next page here. We'll find one like Spain
versus Cape Verde. Spain's going to put up so many goals in that matchup. You could probably utilize a goal spread there. You know, you see something like Portugal versus DR Congo, etc. So,
these knockout stages are going to provide a lot of opportunities for you to capitalize on either total goals or going against the underdogs and really hedging against every single year there's
like a surprise team or surprise upsets that will protect your capital against those events. And for where I'm going to be taking a lot of my action, I'm going to be utilizing the Share app.
we go over to sports, we go to World Cup. If we look at the schedule of these games, sometimes they're at 10 p.m., 3 p.m., 9:00 p.m., 6 p.m., 4 p.m. Like, they're going to
be spread out so much that you're not always going to be attached to your desk or able to log in to your native Polymarket account. I would really advise to have a mobile option. And Polymarket doesn't really have a high-level functioning mobile app. So check out Share down
below. You can take all of the different options on all of these different games. So like I said, I think that Bosnia probably does not beat Canada. So you can come in here, you can take the no on that. You can place it right here on Share. So it's really easy to take all of your action. You
can share your thesis. You can also follow sharp traders. So like I follow a bunch of traders on this app for example that are trading on which teams are going to win the World Cup potentially. So there's a lot of value in utilizing the Share app. But most importantly for convenience purposes
no matter where you are in the world, Europe, you know Dubai or South Africa or United States like I am, this app will help you stay on top of it at times where you can't log into your native
Polymarket account and be able to trade these different games. So, I'll leave a link down below for Polymarket. Make sure you have a Polymarket account because you can actually link your native Polymarket account to this app. I think it's the best trading app that Polymarket has to offer. So,
I would highly advise to check this out in the link down below in the description. And as far as the rest of the summer, I mean, we're going to have a lot of World Cup coverage to be giving you picks across the board. We're going to be launching some pretty cool initiatives
and community products to be able to follow along with growing this Polymarket account throughout the World Cup. And of course, I want to impose that there's going to be upsets, there's going to be shockers. So, utilizing the things that I said in this video, going against
the underdogs on the no's to avoid, you know, if there's a tie, there's going to be weird stuff that happens. I think some of these strategies will save you legit dollars and also make you legit dollars if you just implement that strategy. So, that's going to be it for today's video,
guys. Like I said, we will be live a lot throughout the World Cup, live trading, going over action, giving some picks, and really just following along. And of course, we'll be back tomorrow with a crypto update as always. So, like the video down below,
subscribe to the channel, trade responsibly, my friends, and of course, stay bullish, my friends.
