## Transcript

as a new content creator that'll keep you from making and effort that you're putting into your videos, some of the mistakes that we're gonna be talking
there's a lot of really amazing opportunities but it can be difficult making a lot of videos consistently Let me explain why.
I help content creators thrive on YouTube, I came onto YouTube and I started watching videos from people
that helped me better understand the right things to do. to get my first 150 subscribers on my YouTube channel. with somebody who knew what they were doing
and it allowed me to get a little bit more what was important on YouTube, if I decided to take this seriously.
I had to figure out how to balance YouTube in and do all of those things. I got so into YouTube and so into the creation process
to where I started losing customers on the other side in my actual job, because I was so focused on YouTube and making videos.
I ended up committing myself to a schedule because it didn't balance well with my regular lifestyle. It sucked.
that I was growing around that channel. I was expressing myself creatively. but because I didn't manage my time properly, I blew it.
However, that burnout caused me to reassess and try to figure out a way to move forward and I knew this was something that I wanted to do.
but that particular channel, I just, I couldn't keep it up. I just couldn't do it anymore. because the audience that I was growing there,
when it comes to just working on that project in general. I just realized that with that type of channel, that I wouldn't be able to move forward
And then I came back to this channel here. Well, the reason I'm telling you this that you are getting started with,
It's important to make sure that you are aggressively learning and all of that but it's also important to make sure
so that you don't burn out. with someone that explained the opportunity to me But if you don't have somebody like that in your life,
and you don't have anybody else And you might miss out on the amazing opportunity from that experience was that if I could take this seriously
that I could do YouTube instead of doing the work However, I had no idea what was in store for me that I was starting to walk at that time.
you don't know what's on the other side of hitting It's bigger and more impactful It's bigger and more impactful than the amount of views
It has its place. because that's where everything comes from. and by regular creators, I don't mean super stars
that are getting five to 10,000 views per video, People like that are making a lot of money on YouTube,
the right approach to what it is that they're doing, And if you are strategic, you're intentional. that you can compete here on YouTube,
to get millions and millions and millions of views. Last year in 2023, influencer marketing was expected
to be a $16.4 billion industry. In 2024, it's expected to be an $18 billion industry. That's a $1.5 billion dollar jump in a year,
It doesn't include affiliate sales, It doesn't include crowdfunding, none of that. And that's just the money side of being a creator,
and take advantage of the other opportunities around your lifestyle and other things. I've gotten the opportunity two times to fly to Armenia
It was an experience I'm never going to forget Everything about it was just absolutely amazing.
In some cases, they get VIP access Like a lot of the tech channels, for example, some of them, and things like that, some of them are treated very well
to highlight their products, Being a content creator can open up a lot of doors that would've been pretty difficult
But the biggest thing is that we get the opportunity and potentially make an impact on the people And look, I know that sounds like woo woo
The video that you are working on right now might be a video And through something that you say in that video,
something that you say in that video might unlock something and they end up starting their journey after watching your video that ends up helping them
This has happened with creators here in the Nimminati. depending on the type of content that you make, that then they can apply to what it is that they're doing,
of their lives and the people around them escape a really rough day because they run across your video that it helped them forget
The point I'm trying to share with you is that what it is that you are doing, it matters. And you have the opportunity to really make an impact
even if it's hard to see right now and even if you think of other people. that this YouTube and content thing, it's real.
And just like it is There's gonna be a lot of things The likelihood of you publishing a nice amount of videos
that's normal and it's probably going to happen. and you're willing to work on yourself to do this, you can do it.
even if right now you're thinking to yourself, I don't know, Nick, this sounds pretty good, but I don't know about me. Even you, this can be a reality for you,
The first thing you have to do is you have to change the way A lot of people that are just getting started to their channel instead of acknowledging
that it probably has something to do with the content with the thumbnail and the title. especially if you're putting tons of work into your content,
that you can do at this moment in time. that YouTube systems does not have an opinion It doesn't make judgements on your content standalone.
meaning that when YouTube shows your content to people, it's reacting to how the viewers on YouTube So the system doesn't have opinions, it has data,
and it relies on that data to gauge is this a good video? Are they having a satisfactory experience from this? then more people are gonna get presented that video
And if the answer is no, then in that particular case, I don't want to paint the wrong picture here. even if it's not competitive within YouTube's system.
to prioritize the content that is competitive So there's gonna be some things that you might be feeling videos aren't doing well because I have a new channel.
Rule that out, because when you start rolling out things like that that don't really matter, then it forces you as the creator of the content.
then it's gotta be me, which means that I need And I know that's an easy concept, how do I make videos that people enjoy?
That part is what you learn as part of your process that when they first publish their very first video, before anything even starts moving
And there's nothing wrong with that, I mean, let me remind you, when we first started this video, to get my first 150 subscribers
It was part of the process that made everything else Another thing to be mindful of is the new content creators, that are targeted specifically at you, that are going
They're gonna promise you that they'll grow your views, All you gotta do is give these services some money, then you'll get a bunch of views and subscribers.
There are not shortcuts on YouTube. because they know that new content creators
There are best practices, there are strategies, we have to do the work if we are wanting Another thing to know as a new content creator
how to get people to respond to your content You should also know that there's a lot of really bad to grow a YouTube channel all over the internet.
to recognize because you don't have that experience. that when you hear something, even if it comes from me, and that you go and you try to find anything official
that are from YouTube and Google Another thing that's really important for your success where you are at in the process of being a content creator.
You know, when you're first learning to drive, You have to, you know, sit in the car. You've gotta learn what the letters mean on the gear shift.
You gotta start learning your way around town. you don't just pick up an instrument and shred. deciding what music you're going to play,
you have to start working on your fingers and you have to learn how to transition You have to learn wherever I'm gonna go from this chord
And you have to learn all of these details about it. and hours and hours and hours and years and years So when it comes to YouTube, it's a similar thing
and they can figure it out relatively quick, Other people, they can pick it up, they can only play to learn the instrument,
YouTube is the same exact way. it's really easy to get discouraged, oh my gosh, you know, this sucks.
where you're at in the process and it's like, hey, then that just means that I'm still like trying to learn. to actively continue to learn
to deliver better content to the people on moving through that learning curve, and as your understanding gets more in tune,
And again, if you're wanting to be a hobby creator that you can do. You just have to embrace the fact
through that learning curve in order to make it happen. and who have been able to reap the amazing benefits because we know what's on the other side
I have a video about the 10 skills and I'll see you over in that video. I'll see you over there.
