At their heart, shows are meant for [00:16] curated collections of videos that are best enjoyed in a specific order or as a related set. For example, videos with clear story arcs or narratives that span multiple episodes with consistent topics or segments, characters or hosts that [00:30] are easy to follow and understand with consistent thumbnails, titles, and descriptions, high-quality visuals and sound, branding and graphical elements, mood and atmosphere, and pacing across episodes so viewers know what to expect [00:44] when they return to the show, hopefully, again and again. If you're in the show, including a show with multiple seasons, by converting an existing playlist or making a new show from scratch. When you make a show, it gets a [00:57] show page under your channel, and that show page is eligible for inclusion in the recommended shows and continue watching shelves on the home page and next. Open call can be a way for [01:09] get in front of brands for the first time with some very specific create open calls for shorts, and if you meet their criteria, they'll be surfaced for you in YouTube Studio in the partnership tab under earn. You can [01:23] information, which includes the payment rate for the short and whether the short goes up publicly on your channel for organic views and or is surfaced by the brand as an ad. Once you submit the short, the brand can request one round [01:36] you want to do them or not. Then, if the brand approves your video, you'll get of the project. Also, guaranteed minimums are being worked on, and more of open call, the brand can use your short as an ad for 180 days. If the [01:52] short beyond that initial period, they're responsible for contacting you and manage your open call submissions and brand partnerships at any time in available to creators in the YouTube Partner Program in the US with the UK, [02:08] India, and Indonesia to follow and more to come after that. And yes, YouTube knows open call won't be the right fit for every creator, especially for partnering with brands.
