## Summary

A seasoned content creator reflects on the pitfalls of the 'go hard' mentality after 11 years in the industry. He shares insights on how pushing for more output often leads to burnout and emphasizes the importance of intentionality and life balance for sustainable creativity.

### Key Points

- **The Pivot Paid Off** [00:26] — Q1 pivot from usual content to creator products succeeded, rewiring the creator's mind to want to do more, faster, and harder.
- **Need to Slow Down** [01:09] — Despite the success, the creator recognizes the urge to increase output and must intentionally slow down to avoid burnout and maintain passion.
- **Burnout from Overdoing** [02:07] — After 11 years, the creator learned that more videos, streams, and hours lead to burnout and resentment, not necessarily better results.
- **Creative Block Solutions** [02:36] — Overstressing creative work caused blocks. The solution was to address other life issues (like debt) rather than pushing more creative output.
- **Locking In Meaning** [04:13] — Locking in doesn't mean more content; it means being intentional with time, ensuring every piece of content has purpose and solves something.
- **Self-Management as the Real Grind** [05:18] — The real work is self-management: taking workouts, eating habits, family time, and balance seriously. These support sustainable creativity.
- **Less is More** [06:12] — Creating less can mean creating more. Focusing on personal well-being and reducing stress helps improve career and goals.

### Conclusion

For creators, the next 90 days should be about doing the right things and fixing personal issues, not just increasing output. Intentionality and balance are key to long-term success.

feel like they have to lock in and go harder. More videos, more streams, more hours. And I'm at that point right now. But, here's the thing. After 11 years of doing this full-time, locking in doesn't mean what most people think it
>> [snorts] [music] [music] >> All right, we're going for more of a raw vlog today. I actually did one of these last month and and it did well, man.
that I got from you guys, it was amazing. It makes documenting and building in public a lot easier. All right, so over the last couple weeks, I've explained how Q1 of this year, the first few
really changed my perspective on things, right? I took a gamble and a risk and pivoted content from what I've been doing over the last few years to respark stuff and start making creator products and set goals for the future. But,
here's the thing. After actually doing that [ __ ] and it paying off, that [ __ ] and it paying off, now my mind is wired in the direction of little bit more of that. Let's do it faster. Let's do it harder. Let's do it
more consistently. Lo and behold, as a human being, when you do something, you enjoy the process of doing said thing and you get reward for it, you want to do more of that. But, this is a moment where I need to slow down and be
intentional with that because obviously, as a creative and a content creator, our minds go in the obvious direction, which isn't necessarily the right direction. going into well, [ __ ] it, let's just start vlogging daily. Let's start doing
daily streams. Let's start posting three times a day. Like the natural instinct times a day. Like the natural instinct is just more physical output in a creative form. Just longer days, more videos, longer videos, just more action
of being here as a creator. That's what locking in from the outside would look like in those situations, right? But, the thing is, after doing this for 11 content creators do this, you start to learn over a period of time that that is
>> [music] >> burnout and and to just push people into disliking what they do. And I'm really addicted right now and enjoying the process of all of this. So, it's super important that I slow down and I assess
things because I want to protect that, right? But, here's the thing. I can follow that urge. I can this quarter actually >> do more stuff and get more reward for taking more of those risks. So, for me,
in these moments, what I've learned to avoid creative burnout and to avoid resenting the very thing that I'm doing is actually some of the practice that I do when I'm in a creator burnout. And for a quick summary over that, if you
been in like a designer block or a creative block, I dealt with this years ago as a graphic designer. What I secretly learned was overstressing and overdoing the very thing where I needed to be creative was causing the problem.
Anytime over the years as a graphic designer that I started going through come up with these ideas? How do I process all this [ __ ] Well, I don't because this is my job. I have to keep designing. I stopped focusing on things
those moments that I realized I was creating anxiety through the craft that I was doing. Well, I knew there was other things in my life that I had to focus on and take care of. Like for example, one year, it wasn't that I was
just overly designing and just running out of ideas in my head. It was that I was running from the fact that I was in a lot of debt and I had to figure out a way to pay that debt off and set up real structure and real budgeting to do that,
fixing all that [ __ ] I was just designing more. I was thinking the very thing would get me out of another problem. But, in reality, I needed to go I learned throughout the years as I went through weight loss and I tried to
become a better person and give up drinking is the process in doing the other [ __ ] that I know I needed to get done in my life to become a better done in my life to become a better person overall, it helped me get out of
started to realize that you can actually predict [music] for this to even avoid it. Following the adrenaline, the rush to [ __ ] go harder over this next quarter doesn't mean locking in on content. It means
being intentional with my time. Instead of streaming more, instead of just uploading more videos, they need to have purpose. They need to have meaning for it. You can feel the [ __ ] action in this video cuz I want to be here. I
genuinely want to share this with you guys. This is intentional. This is a real conversation. This is what I want to document in my building in public series. Well, every video and stream and content needs to be solving something.
It also needs to be moving the needle. But, it needs to be moving the needle in a pace where I can start to do the other things because this means keeping me sharp in the other [ __ ] This means I have to start taking the workouts more
serious. I have to start taking my eating habits more seriously. The walks that I enjoy, the family time that I get to have, the balance in my day. That self-management in of itself is actually the real grind.
It's not the visual physical action that you guys see little [ __ ] that just makes you who you are. So, for myself and and I highly encourage a lot of you guys out there, the next 90 days isn't about just doing
everything and just doing it all the time. It's about doing the right things and learning from the bad things and doing this every single day to see what there's no deeper thought to this. I know for a fact that some of you guys
have put off your taxes till the last minute. Some of you guys have that messy just need to wash your [ __ ] car. I know some of you want to lose that weight or amend that relationship. So, therefore, you have to understand that
over the next 90 days, it is not just you streaming, creating videos. It is also you taking time to fix that other [ __ ] that is weighing you down as a human being cuz that stuff does pile up in your head like you couldn't imagine.
I think we've always heard the phrase less is more. What's so crazy is as a creator, sometimes creating less means creating more. Taking your time and energy to becoming a better person and relieve a lot of stress off of your
plate in general will inevitably help you out with whatever career and goal that's that's where my head's at, man. I God, I've I've fallen into a lot of those old [ __ ] ways where I'm like,
dude, I just want to go hard, man. I want to vlog every day, man. I want to [clears throat] this up. I got a lot of goals this quarter, a lot of goals. Products coming out for you guys. There's going
want to really push myself as a creative and a creator this quarter to just, you know, have some failures and but be able to actually see like, holy [ __ ] like I learned from it. I guess Q2 is grind down, but also get more uncomfortable.
in the journey. Also, too, I'm going to have some updates to the streamer and creator blueprint. As always, anytime I update it, even if you get more product,
the update for free. So, I don't care if you originally bought it in its opening form to where it was only $15 and at some point I'm like, this blueprint X, Y, and Z and it needs to be worth $50. All of you guys that invested into
that product and me early on, you you get everything that comes with it. And friendly reminder, if you have not gone and picked up the creator or streamer blueprint and locked in for 90 [ __ ] days, what in the hell are you doing?
today. That's all I got for you guys today. I'm out. Peace. Deuces.
