[0:00] [Music] [0:02] what's up everyone welcome back to my [0:04] channel in case you're new here my name [0:06] is phil in case you're clicking this [0:08] video for the first time you are much [0:10] welcome so in today's video let's make [0:12] croissants so let me tell you croissants [0:14] are so hard to make it has like a long [0:17] process but today i'm sharing a very [0:19] simple easy recipe on how to get the [0:22] perfect croissants at home and how you [0:24] can enjoy them this recipe gives you a [0:25] very soft yummy super flaky on the [0:28] outside croissants i always finish mines [0:30] with some icing sugar i tell you it's so [0:34] so good so without saying more let's get [0:36] started [0:38] so for our first step we're going to [0:39] activate the yeast so here i have some [0:41] warm water i've added active dry yeast [0:43] i'm going to mix that well and then we [0:45] leave this to rest for about five [0:47] minutes next let's mix the dry [0:49] ingredients so here i have all purpose [0:51] flour sugar and salt go ahead and mix [0:53] that well until everything is nicely [0:55] incorporated [0:58] next we'll go ahead and add the yeast [1:00] mixture and milk so just go in with your [1:03] hands and then you're just going to [1:05] knead this until you have a very soft [1:07] and smooth dough so remember guys i've [1:08] listed the ingredients and the [1:10] measurements in the description box down [1:12] below so make sure to check on that next [1:14] once your dough is ready we are going to [1:15] let it rest so here i'm just spreading [1:18] some oil on my bowl and then i just put [1:20] the dough let this rest for about 45 [1:22] minutes or until it doubles in size just [1:25] give the dough a light punch to release [1:27] out the air build up in that dot next [1:29] you just place the dough on a flat [1:30] surface and then we're going to cut this [1:32] dough into 10 equal pieces so make sure [1:35] that you have 10 equal balls if you have [1:38] a weighing scale the better so you just [1:39] weigh them to equal sizes so just use [1:42] your hands to form small balls so make [1:44] sure you're going to make at least 10 [1:46] small balls once you're done we are [1:48] going to roll them out so just spread [1:50] some flat on your flat surface and then [1:53] just using your rolling pin you're going [1:55] to roll this to small circles we'll [1:57] repeat this process with the other [1:58] remaining dough until you're all done [2:00] once you're done just place them aside [2:02] and we go to our next step [2:06] [Music] [2:16] the perfect croissant is all about [2:18] butter croissants use a lot of butter so [2:21] make sure you have a lot of butter for [2:23] this recipe so just go ahead and take a [2:25] brush spread the butter on top of each [2:27] rolled out dough and then just take [2:29] another rolled dough place it on top and [2:31] then here i'm just using my hands to [2:33] spread the butter because the brush was [2:35] kind of wasting my time so just go ahead [2:37] with that step until you've layered all [2:39] the rolled out dough and here i'm just [2:41] going ahead to press that using my hands [2:44] to make it a little big bigger next you [2:46] just place this in the fridge and you're [2:49] going to let this rest for at least 30 [2:51] minutes [2:58] and now back to our dough it's been [3:00] resting for at least 30 minutes so just [3:02] remove that clear paper and the next [3:04] thing you're just going to transfer our [3:06] dough to a flat surface make sure you've [3:09] dusted your working space so just using [3:12] your hands you're going to press it a [3:14] little bit longer because it's a bit [3:17] cold now you're just going to take your [3:19] rolling pin and you're going to roll [3:20] this out so when you're rolling this out [3:22] make sure to turn and roll the other [3:24] side as well so just going to roll this [3:27] into a very large circle so make sure [3:30] you have like a bigger space because [3:32] this [3:33] dough is a bit bigger so you're just [3:35] going to take your knife or here i'm [3:37] using a pizza cutter and i'm just going [3:39] to cut it into smaller triangular pieces [3:43] so this will give you about 16 pieces of [3:46] croissant so just go ahead and roll them [3:48] to a nice croissant shape once you're [3:50] done you'll place them on your baking [3:52] tray ready for baking [3:57] [Music] [4:03] so here let's just make the egg wash [4:05] that we'll be using for spreading on top [4:07] of our croissants so here i have one egg [4:09] yolk and i've added one tablespoon of [4:11] milk so i'm going ahead to mix that and [4:13] then you just spray that on top of your [4:16] croissants next you'll just place this [4:18] in your oven at 180 degrees centigrade [4:21] and bake this for 30 minutes or until [4:24] they're nicely golden browned on top and [4:26] here they are they look so yummy they [4:28] smell so amazing guys you will love it [4:31] and as you can see they're so easy to [4:33] make just finish them with some icing [4:34] sugar and i hope you enjoy [4:38] [Music] [4:44] and that's our mission today guys thanks [4:46] so much for watching i hope you enjoyed [4:48] watching this video i hope you're going [4:50] to try this recipe and as usual don't
