what's up everyone welcome back to my
channel in case you're new here my name
is phil in case you're clicking this
video for the first time you are much
welcome so in today's video let's make
croissants so let me tell you croissants
are so hard to make it has like a long
process but today i'm sharing a very
simple easy recipe on how to get the
perfect croissants at home and how you
can enjoy them this recipe gives you a
very soft yummy super flaky on the
outside croissants i always finish mines
with some icing sugar i tell you it's so
so good so without saying more let's get
started
so for our first step we're going to
activate the yeast so here i have some
warm water i've added active dry yeast
i'm going to mix that well and then we
leave this to rest for about five
minutes next let's mix the dry
ingredients so here i have all purpose
flour sugar and salt go ahead and mix
that well until everything is nicely
incorporated
next we'll go ahead and add the yeast
mixture and milk so just go in with your
hands and then you're just going to
knead this until you have a very soft
and smooth dough so remember guys i've
listed the ingredients and the
measurements in the description box down
below so make sure to check on that next
once your dough is ready we are going to
let it rest so here i'm just spreading
some oil on my bowl and then i just put
the dough let this rest for about 45
minutes or until it doubles in size just
give the dough a light punch to release
out the air build up in that dot next
you just place the dough on a flat
surface and then we're going to cut this
dough into 10 equal pieces so make sure
that you have 10 equal balls if you have
a weighing scale the better so you just
weigh them to equal sizes so just use
your hands to form small balls so make
sure you're going to make at least 10
small balls once you're done we are
going to roll them out so just spread
some flat on your flat surface and then
just using your rolling pin you're going
to roll this to small circles we'll
repeat this process with the other
remaining dough until you're all done
once you're done just place them aside
and we go to our next step
[Music]
the perfect croissant is all about
butter croissants use a lot of butter so
make sure you have a lot of butter for
this recipe so just go ahead and take a
brush spread the butter on top of each
rolled out dough and then just take
another rolled dough place it on top and
then here i'm just using my hands to
spread the butter because the brush was
kind of wasting my time so just go ahead
with that step until you've layered all
the rolled out dough and here i'm just
going ahead to press that using my hands
to make it a little big bigger next you
just place this in the fridge and you're
going to let this rest for at least 30
minutes
and now back to our dough it's been
resting for at least 30 minutes so just
remove that clear paper and the next
thing you're just going to transfer our
dough to a flat surface make sure you've
dusted your working space so just using
your hands you're going to press it a
little bit longer because it's a bit
cold now you're just going to take your
rolling pin and you're going to roll
this out so when you're rolling this out
make sure to turn and roll the other
side as well so just going to roll this
into a very large circle so make sure
you have like a bigger space because
this
dough is a bit bigger so you're just
going to take your knife or here i'm
using a pizza cutter and i'm just going
to cut it into smaller triangular pieces
so this will give you about 16 pieces of
croissant so just go ahead and roll them
to a nice croissant shape once you're
done you'll place them on your baking
tray ready for baking
[Music]
so here let's just make the egg wash
that we'll be using for spreading on top
of our croissants so here i have one egg
yolk and i've added one tablespoon of
milk so i'm going ahead to mix that and
then you just spray that on top of your
croissants next you'll just place this
in your oven at 180 degrees centigrade
and bake this for 30 minutes or until
they're nicely golden browned on top and
here they are they look so yummy they
smell so amazing guys you will love it
and as you can see they're so easy to
make just finish them with some icing
sugar and i hope you enjoy
[Music]
