## Summary

This week's WoW News video covers the upcoming class changes, new Delve content, and important updates for the Season of Progress. Kalani breaks down the buffs and nerfs, explains how to earn extra crafting materials, and discusses recent bug fixes.

### Key Points

- **Class Changes Overview** [00:00] — Mostly buffs with a few nerfs scheduled for the March 31st reset. Frost Death Knights get a 4% buff, Feral Druids get a 3% damage boost but an 8% nerf to Frantic Frenzy, and Beast Mastery Hunters get a 4% buff.
- **Seasonal Track Timegating** [11:18] — Confirmed that the seasonal track is capped at Rank 4 for now. It's unclear if more ranks will open weekly or if there will be further roadblocks, potentially slowing progress to Tier IX gear.
- **New Delve: The Darkway** [11:48] — The Darkway Delve is now available, located near Suramar. It offers a long-time completion quest with a big experience reward, useful for leveling alts.
- **Extra Craft Sources** [12:33] — The Cracked Keystone quest rewards 20 Hero and Myth crafts that don't count toward the weekly limit. Completing a Mythic+ dungeon (even +2) grants these crafts.
- **Delve Nemesis Rewards** [13:00] — Killing the Delve Nemesis in Torment's Rise (Void Storm) rewards 30 Hero crafts on lower difficulty and 30 Hero + 30 Myth crafts on higher difficulty. These are once per character and don't count toward weekly limits.
- **Weekly Craft Limits** [13:41] — Play week and housing week requests do not count toward the weekly craft limit, allowing players to earn more than the usual 100 crafts per week.
- **Crafting Bug Fix** [14:10] — A bug where players lost crafts when upgrading gear has been fixed. The dev team is investigating restoring lost crafts, but no guarantees yet.

### Conclusion

This week brings mostly positive changes with class buffs and new ways to earn crafting materials. The crafting bug fix is welcome, though players should be cautious until restoration is confirmed.

## Transcript

Hey folks, this is Kalani. We have quite a few class buffs coming with the next weekly reset, but quite a few specs have been left behind. The new weekly go event can help you get some otherwise unobtainable raid gear, there are some interesting new changes on the 1205 PTR, and some of those pesky loot bugs have finally been fixed.
There's a lot to talk about, so let's break it all down in this week's WoW News video. Now before we jump in, be sure to hit that like button and subscribe so you never miss another video. Let's kick things off with this week's round of class changes.
All of these updates are scheduled for the next weekly reset on March 31st, and the good news is that this week is mostly buffs. There are only one or two nerfs sprinkled in here. Frost Deathmites start things off with a 4% buff across the board,
so they'll be doing a bit better next week. Feral Druid have a bit of give and take. They'll see a 3% damage boost across the board, but Frantic Frenzy Damage will see an 8% nerf. Apparently, the dev team wants Feral to do a bit better in single target and raid encounters
while trying to keep their Mythic Plus performance in check. Hunters made the list this week as well. Beastmastery will see another buff across the board. This time they'll be getting a 4% boost, so I guess last week's buff wasn't quite enough to get Beastmastery where the dev team wants them to be.
Survival joins the gang with a 4% buff across the board as well, so both of those Hunter specs will be looking a bit better next week. Arcane Mages have just one change to Burden of Power, and that will now increase Arcane Blast damage by 25% up from 5%, and Arcane Pulse damage by 15% up from 5%.
That's a pretty significant buff, so we could start to see some Sunfury Arcane Mages pop back up again. Shadow Priests have the most changes this week, starting with a huge buff to Shadow Word Death, which will be getting a whopping 80% damage increase, which is made even more impressive by the fact that Shadow Word Death has already been buffed multiple times, so hopefully this last big increase does the job.
Mind Blast and Void Blast damage will see a 10% nerf, Shadow Apparition and Void Apparition damage will be increased by 35%, Spectral Horror's damage bonus for Shadow Apparition was reduced down to 30% from 50%,
and Psychic Link damage split was buffed up to 25%, which doesn't surprise me at all. I think we'll see that slowly creep its way back up to 40% over the course of the season. Void Spike from Things from Beyond now deals 25% additional damage to secondary targets,
and Mind Seer from Void Lashes deal 25% more damage as well. So quite a mixed bag for Shadow Priests this week. And then we round things out with Arms Warriors. Finally, some good buffs, right?
Well, it's better than nothing. Execute damage has been increased by 20% and overpower damage will see a 10% buff. So yes to the buffs part, but I'm not quite sure how much they'll actually do in the grand scheme of things.
All of these updates will be taking the past week of performance into account, so how well classes and specs have been doing in the raid on all difficulties, and how each spec has been progressing through the Mythic plus Keystone system.
If we take a look at the raid on Normal at 95 percentile for the past week over on Warcraft Logs, these are the specs that are getting straight buffs, so Frost Death Knight, BM Hunter, Survival Hunter, Arms Warrior and kind of Arcane Mage.
Feral Druid should also expect a single target boost to increase rank performance. All of those seem to be struggling at least a little bit. They're towards the lower end of the chart. Let's bump things up to Heroic to see how things go when you increase the difficulty.
All of those specs are still hovering towards the lower end of the chart, so they definitely need a couple of buffs. Now, when you increase the difficulty to Mythic, something interesting happens. Five of the specs are still almost dead last on the meters,
but Survival Hunter is way up at the top so I guess some fights on Mythic are set up very well for survival specifically but that does seem to be a bit of an outlier right now All of these specs could definitely use a bit of help but when you look at these charts there are quite a few specs right
beside the ones getting buffed that are going to see no changes heading into next week. On Normal, we can see that Fire Mages, Outlaw Rogues, and Enhancement Shamans are struggling quite a lot. On Heroic, Fire Mages, Enhancement Shamans and Outlaw Rogues are still down at
the bottom, and then even Elemental and Assassination are below Arms and Survival on Heroic. And if you want to bump it back up to Mythic, Rogues are really struggling by the looks of things. So I would have expected to see a few buffs for the Shaman specs, and at least
Outlaw and Assassination Rogues. But I guess there is still a bit of time before the next reset. Sometimes the dev team does add in some more changes on Monday, literally just before the reset happens, so keep your fingers crossed.
Now, if you're curious how things might change on the dungeon front, we can check out the DPS tier list over on Archon.gg, which tracks the mythic plus score of each spec. It's actually a very cool website if you enjoy digging into data and logs.
Feral Druids might get knocked down a peg or two with that frantic Frenzy Nurse, but then Arms Warrior, Shadow Priest, Survival Hunter, BM Hunter and Frosty K should get a bit of a boost. But there are a lot of specs down in that C tier who could use a bit of a buff, including, once again, Fire Mage, Outlaw Rogue, Enhancement Shaman, and Assassination Rogue.
Since these specs are struggling in Mythic Plus and in Raid, surely a couple of numbers need tuning. I guess we'll just have to wait and see. Now, over on the 1205 PTR, we have a few more changes to look forward to, starting with a new Daxia Battle Visage ability.
When you toggle this on, you should stay in Visage form, even while in combat, until you use an ability that requires your Draconic form. And then after using that ability, you should pop straight back to Visage form. So you'll be in Visage form for 90% of your combat time, making it a great option if you get tired of your Draxia form.
This week's PTR update includes a list of abilities that will shift you into your Draxia form temporarily. So we've got Deep Breath, Dream Flight, Breath of Eons, Fire Breath, Eternity Surge, Dream Breath, Upheaval, Hover, Spatial Paradox, Rescue, Zephyr, Verdant Embrace without the Dream Simulator and Tarot, and Saw.
So anything that requires wings, and all empower spells by the looks of things. So I think this is a pretty great middle ground, and I might pick up my Evoker again now that I can actually see my Transmords for more than 10% of the time.
Now, Unholy Deathlights have an interesting change. Scourge Strike will now apply Virulent Plague in addition to spreading it, so that should keep rolling almost no matter what. Restoration Druid's Apex talent, seeing a bit of a redesign, rank 2 and 3 now causes Lifebloom's Final Bloom to heal all allies within 40 yards for 30 and 60% of its healing amount, reduced beyond 5 targets.
targets. For evokers, unlevel damage has been increased by 300% and the temporal anomaly rework for evokers has been reverted. Kind of. Your temporal anomaly will still work the way it did before, but now there's a new talent that has the barrier style functionality
that would have been baseline. So the new talent applies a shield to up to 5 allies and applies echo at 30% effectiveness, and then resonating sphere defect has been baked into Temporal Anomaly, and the talent itself was removed.
So you have to choose which style of Temporal Spell you want to roll with. Now, Robes do have some more changes coming in 1205, but it's not a huge list, I'm afraid. Death Stalker's Mark has been updated to let you move it between targets much easier.
Moving it will cost you 25 energy, and it will have a 20 second cooldown, but at least the transfer won't be on the GCD, so you can move it without messing with your rotation. And then Warriors have a couple of updates as well Wrecking Throw and Shattering Throw will now be highlighted when the target has an Absorb Shield or an Immunity effect For Slayer Reek the Storm has been updated again so you now have a 15 chance to trigger
the Flurry of Steel whenever Cleave or Rampage hits three or more targets via Improved Whirlwind. Now that's all for the 12.05 class updates this week, so nothing too crazy to report.
I imagine we will see more and more updates the closer this patch gets, so if your spec isn't in a good state right now, there is still time for some major adjustments to make their way through in the first minor patch of the expansion.
Now in other news, the Delve Weekly event has brought some unexpected boons and banes. You may have noticed a new weekly quest in Silvermoon asking you to complete five Delves for a box of goodies. This cache of Kel'thalashe treasures might be more lucrative than you
first thought, because it can contain almost anything, not just Delves or open world gear rewards. This includes, at the very least, raid gear from all three raids, which gives you a chance to get the highly coveted raid trinkets like Veilgoth's Final Stare, Locust Walker's Ribbon,
or even the Gaze of the Armseer. Now, I did say three raids, and that's because you can also get any of the loot from the March on Kel'danas raid, even though it's not actually open yet. Players have been getting the special trinkets from Baloran, and I joked about Demon Hunters
probably being able to get the Lightless Lament War Glaze from the last boss. And wouldn't you know it, that's exactly what Nadara got from her cash. So she's been running around with a Nari Glaze a week before the raid even opens,
which has garnered quite a few comments. So even if the Champion gear isn't a huge upgrade for you, you might end up getting some sweet Trance Mog instead. We don't usually get many ways to earn raid gear outside of actually doing the raid,
so if you haven't completed this quest yet, make sure you get it done before the weekly reset rolls around, because it won't be available next week. The event also increases your Delver's journey progress,
companion experience gains, and undercoin gains by 25%, so it's a great week to spend some extra playtime in Delves, clearing as many bountiful Delves as you can, and opening up as many coffee chests as your keys will allow,
to earn a lot more progress to reach Rank 4 a bit faster. Rank 4 is the first major milestone for the Delve system, because that's where you'll start to earn Mythcrests. At Rank 4, 5 Mythcrests will drop in each of your Tier 11 Gilded Stashes.
You can get 4 of these per week for a total of 20 Mythcrests. Not bad for solo-focused content. If you're not taking part in other group content to actually get Mythgear, the only way to really spend those Mythcrests is to upgrade your Crafted Gear to Item Level 285.
So Rank 4 Delves do unlock some huge long-term gearing potential, though that might not be the play right now unless you fancy throwing 80 Miscrafts into the nether. More about that in just a moment.
So the Dells event is great for getting up to rank 4, but as it turns out, it's actually kind of worthless past that. Well, not completely. You still get the bonus to companion experience games and undercoins, but progress on the Dells season journey track is hard locks at rank 4.
You can't actually go past that right now. Many players found themselves hitting this roadblock last week and being unable to progress, but everyone thought the release of Mythic Raid to Mythic Plus would move things along a bit, but they didn't.
We also have confirmation from a blue post on the forums that this is intended. We won't be able to progress the seasonal track any further until next week, but we're not even sure if the rest of the track opens up, or if we're going to hit another roadblock later on down the line.
Are we capped at one renown rank per week? Maybe two? I guess we'll have to wait and find out. but if we do run into more timegating for the Season of Progress, it's going to take much longer to get to Tier IX to start earning those reliable Hero Gear rewards from Tier XI Delves.
Now the last little bit of news we have on the Delve front this week is that a new Delve opened up! If you weren aware the expansion went live with two Delves missing the Dark Way and the Parhelion Plaza This second one will open up next week with the March on Kaldanas raid but this week we have the Darkway
so you can venture into there, see what's happening over near Suramar, and help the Nightborne push the Void Forces out of the Arcway. This Delve also has a long-time completion quest, which rewards the usual big chunk of experience
while levelling up, so if you still have some alts to level up, be sure to add the Darkway to your list of long-time Delve completions. This week also introduced some new sources of crafts that you definitely don't want to miss because they do not apply to your season weekly limits.
That means you can farm up 100 missed crafts from the usual activities and still get these crafts for the cherry on top. The new source this week is the Cracked Keystone quest. You can get the Cracked Keystone at the end of a tier 11 delve and the craft will ask you to complete a Mythic Plus Dungeon.
Even a Plus 2 key will do. completing that quest rewards you with 20 hero and myth crafts that don't count to your weekly limit so that's a very valuable reward and plus two keys are super easy to work through
now there are a couple of other craft rewards that work in the same way if you haven't already you can kill the delve nemesis in the challenge delve this is located in the bottom right of void storm and you're looking for the delve called torment's rise
if you can kill that on the lower difficulty you get 30 hero crafts and the higher difficulty will reward you with 30 Hero and 30 Mythcrafts. Just like the Cracked Keystone, these rewards are once per character, so you can't repeat them, but they do not count towards your weekly limit,
so that's another 30 Mythcrafts to help fuel those huge upgrades. If you get both of these activities done, you'll have 50 Mythcrafts to put towards a piece of 285 Crafty Gear, which means when you do reach rank 4 in the Delph seasonal track,
you're just a couple of weeks' progress away from that huge gear upgrade. It's also worth noting that the play week requests and the housing week requests also do not seem to count your weekly limits, so while you may think 100 crafts per week isn't enough to get your gear upgrades in,
we can actually earn quite a bit more than that as long as you're getting your weekly quests done. Now, it's all fine and dandy getting more crafts, but this week quite a few players have been losing their crafts when trying to upgrade their crafted gear.
Spark crafting gear can be upgraded using 80 Hero Crests to bump his item level up to 272, or using 80 Myth Crests to go all the way up to 285. But when some players tried to recraft their gear, they would get the same 259 piece back,
and their crests were totally gone. Losing almost your entire week's worth of Myth Crests is definitely going to sting. But thankfully, the Dead Team do seem to have fixed this bug as of yesterday, and while they initially said they probably wouldn't be able to do anything to restore any lost crafts,
they are now looking into what they can do, if anything, to identify the affected players and provide some sort of restoration. No concrete answers there just yet, but if you did lose out on some crafts, you may get them back sometime soon.
The real good news here, though, is that you should be able to upgrade your crafted gear without any worries from this point onwards. But that's all the updates we have so far, so that's it for this week's WoW News video.
What do you think of this week's round of Class Bus and Nurse, and certain classes getting left behind? And how do you feel about the Dells Journey progress being locked at Rank 4 for so long? Leave all your thoughts in the comment section below.
