This is what they look like. Pretty damn cool swords and there's a little nifty way that you get them. It's very secret. So, the first thing we'll do is make our way to Val cuz this is only doable within Val and you'll have to load this up in heroic world tier. Once you're in here, you're going to make your way to the cave at the bottom right, the Sleete Rune Hollow. I'll show you once I'm near there. Look at my awesome new mount that we got this week, dude. Finally got it yesterday. Now, once you get to this cave over here, you're going to go into the cave like this and you're going to go all the way to the back end of the cave down here. And you'll see here in the wall, there's this object. When you interact with the object, it opens up the quest window and you can attempt to pull the sword from the ice. It doesn't let you pull it, but it does give you a buff called testament to prove your strength by slaying worthy foes. Now, before you loot the sword, you want to make sure that a rare is about to spawn because you either have to kill two rares or one rare plus the world boss. What this means is you have to slay rare creatures. You can also do the world boss, but maybe I wouldn't risk it in case you die and lose the buff. You should also know that you cannot cancel this buff when you first get it. You have to wait for the timer to end. I recommend picking up the sword and starting the buff as soon as you see that a rare has spawned so that you grab the buff and then you can run over to the spawn while it still has the 3 minutes time of safety. You'll see when every rare spawns it has 3 minutes of safety before anybody can attack it. You have to take this into account and then you can go ahead and kill the rare. Once the rare is dead, you'll see that you get a new 30-minute buff called vanquishing, which acknowledges your deed, but you have to get a second buff of this while the first one is still active. So, we have 16 minutes. In my case, I don't have time for another rare because I need more than 20 minutes on that clock. So, what I'm going to go do is the world boss. The world boss is located at the bottom, right over here, through this portal. We can go through the portal, and then we'll make our way down the stairs. And then when you're in front of the boss here, you're going to go ahead and open up your group finder, go to pre-made groups, custom, and you're going to search for a group for Imperator Thok. So, we're going to sign up here and join this group. Doesn't matter if you've already killed the boss, we'll go ahead and kill it again. Just remember, you do need to do this before your original buff runs out. And you'll see here when we do kill the world boss, just like this, we'll get two stacks of the vanquishing, and the original buff testament will update to say that you have proven yourself worthy, and you have to return swiftly to claim your reward. Now, you have to use that timer to make your way back. I'm just going to try not to aggro everything along with these other players. I recommend only pulling that sword out as soon as the first rare spawns, cuz doing the world boss is tricky with all the the ads that can kill you along the way. But, I think I'll make it here. And I'll just roll up here, make my way back to the cave, the cave at the bottom right, Sleekrune Hollow. Looks like another player's doing this exact same thing. And then we can go ahead and we can loot the sword while we have this buff. Attempt to pull from the ice. Boom. There we go. We got the item, the Iceguardians Sleetsword. And you can see here, this is what these swords look like when I have them equipped. Looks pretty damn cool. And when I sheathe them on my back as a monk, this is what they look like.
