I only have one pair of pants and I almost never wash them. Sounds kind of gross, but hear me out. Years ago, I read an article that said you shouldn't wash your jeans after every use. At first, I thought this was nonsense, but I tested it out and after months of wearing the same pair of jeans, nothing happened. No bad smell, and no one ran away screaming. Wow, it's so great to finally meet you. I never washed my pants. Oh, do you want to smell them? Yeah. Great. Awesome. Yeah. on. Let me just take my pants off so it's not weird. Even the president of Levis's swears by this practice. These have yet to see a washing machine. I know that sounds totally disgusting. A good pair of denim doesn't really need to be washed in a washing machine except very very infrequently or rarely. Turns out washing jeans too often wears them out faster, wastes water, and honestly, it's just unnecessary. Less laundry, fewer decisions. I'm in. Sure, sometimes my pants need a spot clean or a legitimate wash after a really sweaty day or a day of traveling, but for the most part this simple shift has made my life just a little bit simpler.
