The Six Best Side Hustles for 2026

The video's main topic is introduced: the six best side hustles for complete beginners in 2026. The creator emphasizes that these can be done from your room and will rate them on earning potential and speed of starting. He also warns that there is no easy money and that real value must be provided.

[01:35]
Avoiding AI-Automated Side Hustles

The creator warns against side hustles that are being automated by AI, such as copywriting, content research, data entry, and generic podcast editing. He advises focusing on high-leverage skills where your brain works more than your hands, as these are less replicable by AI.

[02:03]
Side Hustle #1: Social Media Growth Expert

This role involves planning and strategizing content to grow pages to 10k or 50k followers. The earning potential for a fresher is rated 2/5, but the time to earn is 4/5, as you can start getting paid quickly. The creator notes that brands and founders are often not good at content, creating a demand for this skill.

[03:10]
Side Hustle #2: Video Editing

With the world going online, video editors are in high demand. A skilled senior editor can earn 50,000 to 1 lakh or more per month, and even freshers can start at 35,000 to 40,000 if they understand core editing concepts. The market is flooded with mediocre editors, so standing out is key.

[04:18]
Side Hustle #3: Automation Engineer

This role involves using AI to handle complex workflows. The creator emphasizes that AI will not take your job, but someone using AI will. Learning AI basics like prompting, and advanced topics like automations and JSON prompting, can lead to high earning potential (4-5/5) and a quick start (a weekend or week to learn).

[05:41]
Side Hustle #4: Content Creation

Content creators can earn 80 lakhs a month at the top, but even with 50k-1 lakh followers, influencers can earn 50k-1 lakh monthly. The earning potential is unbounded (100/5), but the time to earn is low (0.5-1/5) because it takes time to build an audience. The creator plans a separate video on this topic.

[06:35]
Side Hustle #5: Outreach Expert

This role focuses on generating quality leads for companies. It requires good communication skills and understanding of the company's ICP. The earning potential is huge due to commissions, but companies often don't hire freshers, and AI automation is a threat. It can be learned in about a month.

[07:28]
Side Hustle #6: Performance Marketing

This role involves running and A/B testing ads to acquire customers efficiently. It requires learning Meta Ads and business skills. The earning potential is huge due to commissions, but it takes time to learn, possibly working for free for 1-2 months. It can be started from a bedroom with a laptop.

[08:26]
Addressing the 'No Time' Objection

The creator dismisses the excuse of not having time, citing his own experience of making YouTube videos consistently for 6 years while being a student, having a full-time job, and running an agency. He argues that if he can do it, others can too.

The video provides a practical, ranked list of side hustles for 2026, emphasizing the importance of choosing skills that are resistant to AI automation. The creator's personal journey and realistic ratings offer a grounded perspective, encouraging viewers to start immediately and manage their time effectively.

[00:01] probably the biggest lie we have been told. Last month, I got my dad a Mac Mini. I upgraded a little bit of my working setup. And I flew back home on a random Tuesday just to give him the gift. And I wanted to meet my parents.

[00:13] And I say that if money isn't buying you happiness, you are clearly spending it probably the best thing you can do, even if you're in your 20s or in your teenage. But it is not that simple. 6 years back, I was just another college

[00:27] student from a lower middle-ass family living on my parents' limited income. But I wanted to buy a camera. Now, buying a camera is a very hefty student. And I could not ask money from my parents. So, I tried my hand at

[00:40] anything and everything that I could do from my hostel. Be it graphic design, trading, crypto and stocks, art commissions, coding, writing, and making videos on YouTube. And guess what? But 6 years later, I have quit my software

[00:54] engineering job to do my side hustles full-time because they were simply Anko and I have graduated from IIT Hyderabad 2 years back and I have tried a plethora of things, failed at most of them, but some side hustles really did

[01:07] pay off for me. So, in this video, we're going to talk about the six best side hustles you can start as a complete beginner in 2026. And these are side your room. And we're not just going to tell you the names of the side hustles.

[01:20] I'll also rate them on their earning potential and how quickly you can start none of this is a magic bullet. There is no easy way to make money because there is no such thing as easy money. You need to provide real value to real people to

[01:35] the sixth highest paying side hustle, something we need to really account for is that there were side hustles that were really good in 2023 2024, but currently they are completely automated by AI. For example, copywriting, content

[01:49] research, any kind of data entry role or even very generic podcast editing. All honestly, if any of these are not automated yet, they will be in the next 5 to 6 months. And that is exactly why you need to focus more on high lever

[02:03] skill where your brain works more than your hands because that is not easily replicable or automatable through AI. Number one, social media growth experts. Say 2026 and onwards is going to be all about content. From Hollywood

[02:17] celebrities to any single brand you know is making content because it is the pretty sure either you or some of your content or they are starting to make content and it is only going to grow

[02:31] bigger. But the thing is most brands and founders are really good at building systems and building businesses, generating revenue. They are generally not inherently good at making content and that is exactly where you come in.

[02:44] If you have the ability to plan and strategize content to grow a page to 10k strategize content to grow a page to 10k followers, 10k subscribers, 50k, you are said that there's going to be a whole batch of creators who you know who after

[02:57] 5 years of traction realize that this might not happen. Marketing is a super can get into almost immediately because they know more than most marketers. And the best part is you can start this from your room. In terms of the earning

[03:10] potential as a fresher you wouldn't be earning absurdly much. So probably a two out of five but the time to earn is a four out of five. As soon as you can are going to start getting paid. Number two is video editing. As I already said

[03:23] that the world is going majorly online. Every single day people are spending more and more time on the internet which means more content is in demand but the companies are looking for skilled script writers, videographers, and especially

[03:38] video editors. Like honestly, in 2026, a skilled senior editor in a decently sized company can be making from 50,000 to one lakh or more every single month. And even as a fresher video editor, if you understand these six core concepts

[03:52] of editing and you are good at them, you can still have an starting salary of 35 to 40 or more. But here's the thing, the market is flooded with mediocre and below average non-intuitive video editors. And we creators and companies

[04:05] are sick of it. So if you're just cutting silences, adding random ass music and uh doing autogenerated like AI generated captions, please don't. It's not going to get you anywhere. It's not going to make you money. Please, I I'll

[04:18] I saying this? Because number three, the automations engineer is about to take your job. He can take your job right now if you wanted to. Because we are all aware of this that AI is getting mighty powerful at handling very complex

[04:31] powerful at handling very complex workflows in minutes. But AI will not take your job. Someone using AI will. So either you can wait for AI to take your understand how it can make your job faster or how you can become much more

[04:45] efficient using AI tools. So even if you're remotely interested in tech, even really invest time into learning AI. Learn the basics like prompting, context intermediate stuff like video generation, custom GPTs and agents and

[05:00] more advanced stuff like in automations, JSON prompting and more. And I have left of these things in the description below. Do check them out. Now coming to something of a very new role. People don't really have a very good idea. They

[05:14] don't have a ballpark of how much to pay them. you can earn really a lot because founders when they see things getting easier when they can hire less people get the same amount of work done or get the same amount of work done in like 10%

[05:27] you a lot so I will say the earning potential is somewhere between four to five out of five but the time to get there is also very very nice because you can take a weekend or a week off and learn all of these things number four is

[05:41] content creation probably the most expected one in this list you saw this coming because alleged ely content creators are making 80 lakhs a month but even at a lower level with a 50k to one lakh follower base influencers are

[05:55] actually earning 50k to one lakh or more every single month if you have ever this is the best time to start do not wait any longer please just go ahead and start I will not go much into the nitty-gritty details of this because I

[06:09] am making a separate video talking all about how you can start content creation either on YouTube or on Instagram with a very detailed road map in 2026. That for that. But talking about the earning potential, I believe it is absolutely

[06:23] unbounded. It will be a 100 out of five because if you do well, you can be earning millions from this. That's why making media gives you asymmetrical going to watch it at the other end. >> But on the other side of the coin, the

[06:35] time to earn is probably one out of five or maybe 0.5 out of five because it is going to take a long time. Number five is an outreach expert. This is another non-content related role just like the EI automation engineer. This one I would

[06:48] say is very straightforward because no company can survive at least in the survive without generating quality leads. So if you're someone with good skills, a little bit of common sense and you really understand the company ICP to

[07:01] its core, you can learn these things in a month and get up to pace and start earning because as I said quality leads is something any company would pay for. this. Number one is that companies generally don't hire freshers for this

[07:15] role. And number two is remember that AI automation guy, he is almost about to take your job. Now the earning potential is huge because in these cases whenever a lead gets logged and the lead gets turned into a client, you generally earn

[07:28] a bonus or a commission. So the upside is essentially unlimited. The more good leads you close, the more money you make. Number six on the list is a marketing. A performance marketing expert's job is to basically

[07:42] conceptualize and run multiple ads using the company's money. But in the goal of AB testing different ads, trying to find the good ads, doubling down on them. And the main goal is to get more customers while spending as less money as

[07:58] possible. And if you can do this, again, you need to learn meta ads and a lot of business suits for this. But on the technical side, it is not very hard to learn. But on the marketing side of it, it is a huge learning curve. But if you

[08:11] you can start this from your bedroom with a laptop. That's all you need. YouTube to learn about all of these things. If you can get good at this, said, commissions. And wherever there are commissions, the earning potential

[08:26] is huge. But as I also said, it is going to take some time to learn all of this. Maybe you'll have to work for free for 1 or 2 months. So probably the time to some of you are definitely thinking, "Bro, I have a full-time job or I am

[08:40] currently in college. I'm a student. How can I do all of these things? I don't have time." To that I say, "Bullshit. I have been making YouTube videos consistently for the last 6 years. I have been doing this by the side while I

[08:53] was a full-time student, while I had a full-time job, while I was doing an internship, and currently while I'm running a full-time agency. I am still putting out content consistently. So, if I can do it, you can do it, too. You

[09:05] still don't believe me? I don't blame you. But this is an exact video you can see where I have explained how I make time for everything even with a time for everything even with a full-time job.
