Almost, Kinda Got It: Cities XL With Aviator Part 5

[00:15] with episode or this today or whatever it is I'm playing CD XL it's been a weeks since I played pretty much anything I've been traveling a lot and say like i' I've been I've been very busy and it's been an interesting

[00:29] experience I flew out to Portland Oregon and I got to say Portland is freaking awesome I spent 5 days four nights out there and was able to basically do all kinds of crazy Shenanigans and including skiing and uh filming my friend's

[00:45] man like it was just such a good time had great food great beer I I don't know I I really love metropolitan cities that the people are just you know kind and gracious and excited about life and that was it man that was exactly what this

[00:58] place was we had so much fun there and I guess I can say I had so much fun around but we saw a nice time and I I'm looking forward to you know to going it back down there soon to film some more Adventures I got to film the skiing

[01:12] which I've got to say it was just an absolute blast like you know I haven't been skiing in let's just call it many many years uh you know for me you know I'm from Florida I've been skiing one time in my life ever basically that's

[01:25] that's that's the truth of it so uh with that in mind um I'm Noob when it comes don't get me wrong that's that's totally fine but uh being such a noob when it comes to skiing means that I have a lot to learn I guess you could say and uh

[01:40] again that's okay but it does uh does change things up a bit so let me see build some fire stations I got to add some stuff here nope I got to select this one there we go and that's going to run out of money much faster but I can

[01:55] get those right there in place and as soon as I do that they'll build right I'm building this town up obviously there's a lot of stuff going on in this town that uh that needs to happen it says I need a lot of different thing my

[02:07] they're getting traffic issues wow that was lag funky lag but regardless so uh of good food lots of good beer I I got to experience some really cool areas I I got to say I heard silence for the first

[02:21] time in so long it's really remarkable you know it's one of those things where you kind of take it for granted you know we live around silence all the time you by you know what you think is silence where it's quiet but the simple fact of

[02:34] matter is it's not you know it's it's uh it's it's pretty wild man I gotta say you know it really is U but that's that's just me you know I'm a weird guy a weird guy man but I had a great time I got to uh

[02:46] Adventures while I was there and I'm looking at going back again sometime in be able to and that the next trip I go I'm I'm going to do what I can to film some kayaking because I was invited to go kayaking this trip but sadly my my

[03:01] guides flaked out on me which was a giant bummer but you know these things basically being extremely boring trying to do all that I can to uh too many jobs all right so let's find some new jobs here what do Executives

[03:15] need medium density shopping that sounds about right let's do that now these guys they desperately need shopping so we're going to go ahead down here and we're going to go uh like this right here and let's just go like that that'll work uh

[03:30] work and then we'll add uh we'll add some more let's go up here and see if we can add some more shopping zones in the area so as you guys can see there's obviously a lot of things going on uh in the city and the city is still pretty

[03:43] pretty screwed up you know it could definitely uh use some some addendums and some making it better but uh right now we're trying to get profitable and we're probably going to start our new our new town very soon and uh that that

[03:57] plan for that new town will be interesting I think these personally think will be cool and uh the the goal is going to be to basically come over the map and just going to build a little road across and we're going to start

[04:10] building uh building I guess we'll start with let's see H what shall we do I guess we'll start with with uh like nice things you know the things that we wouldn't have otherwise what's this what are you tourism Hotel area that's kind

[04:23] soon as we build a road all right so we got to we got to build some roads out things are getting getting pretty good or getting pretty good man I can't even talk anymore guys this is my first I just woke up this morning came in here I

[04:36] these in a while this will be fun let's do it up and here we are so single G grassy Road where's there there got to be more roads on that um oh there are be more roads on that um oh there are good let's see here large Uptown Avenue

[04:51] from right down here and we're going to start it off right about here Boom Shaka start it off right about here Boom Shaka Laka Laka Boom

[05:05] no all right I wish we had more money but we don't right now oops guess we got to make some more money wow all right so we're completely out of money that's sucks let's go ahead and Advance time really quick uh as much

[05:19] as I hate to do this to my my poor people I need the money honey so we're quickly we can grow this this income looks like we got 5,000 now income's see it seems to be fluctuating quite a bit we were doing really well for a

[05:32] really drastic mistakes a couple episodes ago and I'm going to do what I what I can do about building this because obviously we need the cash we need to we need to be building up the area and kind of seeing what we can do

[05:45] with with uh what's out there you know but I'm a little bit nervous I'm not this moment right now it's uh it's going to be a bit challenging and trying to uh to get up here and kind of build this new town but I figure you know what

[05:59] out see what we can do about uh about adding to the the fiscal stability of our area we'll go ahead and just build a oh no

[06:12] stop all right so we got some money coming in now which is nice and for into that okay uh we'll click from there though and then as you guys can see now we have a lot of space which is great and uh we'll be able to hopefully take

[06:26] already had going on over there and start doing the over here because you know obviously we've got uh we've got some nice country countryland country can right now we're going to start with some uh medium density and this will be

[06:39] for non-skilled workers we'll start with linear Zone we'll go actually right here let's just go ahead and build a nice big plot of that can I go closer I think I can go closer lovely all right so we'll go close there and then we'll go across

[06:54] and tie into that all right so now that that's building up immediately fills up obviously we need more of that we'll go ahead and build another one right alongside of it let's go closer and build right there and so we

[07:09] jobs or what kind of jobs that Executives want because I would have things like that but I guess they don't I guess they want all kinds of things that I don't know about that's okay I'm learning um all right so we're almost

[07:21] out of money but let's go down here and see what we can do they obviously don't so let's just get rid of some of this crap here it's unnecessary

[07:40] out what we have over here we have hotels we have utilities uh let's take a look here at the other items we could put in place for these vks we've got uh put in place for these vks we've got uh city services decorations city services

[07:56] H interesting Commerce oh where's Commerce I just saw Commerce dang it what what what ah Commerce oh that's that's Commerce I'm an idiot it's okay at least we all know it that's what

[08:08] ahead and build a quick business hotel right here might as well luxury hotel bam boom sh oh that was fast apparently they need more of those let's go ahead and put a couple more right there and right there that's instantly going along

[08:21] that's kind of cool all right so we'll go ahead and take some more shops uh take a quick look at what we can do single zone single zone one two three and let's see those shops

[08:34] are already in place there so people don't want shops right now uh Leisure no I want oh industry that's what I was looking for here my industry I'm a smart person it's cool super super duper smart I know you guys are impressed by how

[08:47] brilliant and awful I am at this game oh man it's okay though I'm learning you know what I'm learning and it's it's entertaining to learn so we're industry stuff cuz even even though this is probably not the best place to put it

[09:00] ahead and start building these heavy industry spots out here on the road and uh those are filling up fast which is good we want we need the industry um it this way so we'll go ahead and go to a linear Zone let's see um stop

[09:17] linear and build a nice big industry linear and build a nice big industry Zone all the way out here and click and click there we go let's see how quickly those all fill up if they all

[09:29] honest all right so they need more retail and uh we can we can definitely guys can see the money is flowing in now which is nice to see we'll build some medium density retail right over here and that'll work oh that's not connected

[09:43] anything that was stupid that was dumb all right uh roads I wish there was a way to get like a quick Road like just instantly know you have road but I don't know how to do that so I guess I have to bulldoze this stuff let's get rid of

[10:08] let's put some skilled workers in place down here because obviously these aren't probably because we don't have sko workers and I just deleted a road that was really dumb I hit the wrong button so anyway guys uh as you can see

[10:22] this is going very well for all of us here together um I hope you're enjoying this This brilliant moment of genius and idiocy as I've been able to deliver um complete and total moronic stuff um but that's okay we're going to put some

[10:35] housing in now skilled workers medium density see what we can find right here please give me medium density skill workers right there and here we

[10:52] uh we just spent a lot of money on those though it was probably kind of stupid to keep coming down here now take a look at what's going on down in this area uh good we need more unskilled workers though uh that seems to be the the case

[11:06] build more space uh for unskilled workers because they they really like it worker space and that's intriguing to me like I I would figure that you need everything but I guess you really need unskilled workers so uh let's go ahead

[11:20] and bring this right here unskilled workers medium density and let's just go ahead and bring it all the way out let's see uh

[11:35] like it is doing just that and that's a good thing you know we want to we want do about uh getting some more excitement going for these unskilled workers that nothing I mean did absolutely nothing there's one that's the first one okay so

[11:48] uh hopefully this will you know continue the trend of increasing income based upon workers in the area and uh we'll continue to build these in so uh now that we've got this new city in concept growing it's not there yet but it's in

[12:00] position you know I feel like we're finally doing things somewhat correct go ahead and wait here let's see construction cost we'll go ahead and put that in place there and uh now we've got a lot of space now for these unskill

[12:15] workers to move in and we're going to go ahead up this direction now and man I'm intrigued as to what I should do first yeah I feel like maybe I should put uh don't really know to be honest but that's okay I'm learning I'm I'm

[12:27] manufacturing what do we have now we have medium density manufacturing and uh this stuff on this side of the city where we already have the the uh what's where we already have the the uh what's it called the the kind of uh I don't

[12:42] I'm learning um let's not do too much of that because I don't want to over will be if it will be busy at all so we've got that let's put heavy industry medium density over here and this area where looks like it all filled up that's

[12:56] good that's good to see all right so we're going to put um some density uh manufacturing stuff or medium density manufacturing over here and just take a quick look at what we're able to put in place now um let's go and stop that and

[13:10] place now um let's go and stop that and do the same thing right to be liking them all that industry stuff down that direction which is you

[13:22] smelly area cuz we're over here by the state park which will pretty much piss them off I'm sure but whatever um what's this city services not connected toity City Hall needs workers all right so we need to get uh we need to put some roads

[13:34] got we got roads for days let's go ahead and put a road from right and put a road from right there uh no I want to put it from right there and we'll just run it all the way up here h no we'll take it this

[13:58] at what else we have to do in this area as we're growing this this area here crazy it's not a good thing but we've got money coming in which is which is good um right now let's see what people are saying they say they need uh offices

[14:13] hotels need what's going on with hotels let's see H oh as soon as I address the issues they get happier that's kind of cool all right what's this open resource panel we

[14:25] growing though guys Ian this is impressive to me any anyway I'm I'm this episode's been going it's probably been very long to be honest but uh I don't quite recall so my apologies these these guys are saying they're having

[14:37] issues what are their issues here let's take a look our shops are they need they need more stuff so let's let's see what we can do about getting more stuff for this area so we've got all those buildings over there that are growing up

[14:52] very quickly we're going to go ahead and place a few more let's see here executive housing we've not done yet so we'll do that in this area right here we put more housing in place let's go ahead with a linear Zone uh executive housing

[15:04] we're going to put the executive housing out here in the country where it's beautiful and they can't complain CU it's beautiful and let's see [Music] um much rather go directly across if I

[15:18] can so let's go right up to the water and just put it right like that slope is too steep okay so I can't do that all right just kidding all right that'll instantly interestingly enough that actually surprises me to be honest but

[15:32] we're learning exactly what's needed in this area so we're going to put some that one filled up right away and that's still a bit too close there we go beautiful this is beautiful all right so we'll go ahead and put all that

[15:46] skilled worker housing in place boom and worker housing next to it and again this is probably not the best way because I'm basically all I'm doing here is uh is you know putting putting stuff side by

[15:58] segregating and whatnot like what happens in real life I mean people who whatnot don't want to live next to the unskilled workers it's just kind of the way the way the cookie crumbles I guess but you know whatever I'm learning this

[16:11] game and they can they can just get over it man just get over it all right so we're going to have to put some more housing and stuff in this area Let's see we got enough money there that'll work and uh as this continues I

[16:24] so well over there they don't really need the area uh I should have known and so we're going to take a little bit of look over here at um

[16:36] of look over here at um H city services no I need city services education let's put a large school in place let's see right about there and there and there and now let's take a moment here to put a middle school right

[16:51] there and there and there and we're just building this thing up man I mean it's together to be honest I think it's really neat uh so we'll put a as soon as we have money here oh we're negative now oh Grizz I'm an idiot so I built these

[17:05] schools too fast and now we're out of uh yeah I'm stupid so let's just oh no out that one let's bulldoze this this this and uh this and that will increase our income pretty dramatically all right so what

[17:19] I'm learning here is that I have to be very cautious with how quickly I add really hurt us and you wouldn't think they would but they do seem to do so and that's a bummer uh police station that

[17:31] I'll put one right here though um these guys say they need help they need help badly let's see we'll put one out here at the end of the road how about at the end of the road how about that that'll work all right so uh as as

[17:44] you guys can see here we're obviously we're learning the uh the basic systems for how all this works cuz I I don't know you know I I don't know the best way of doing things but we'll figure it out and uh that's a good thing so let's

[17:56] saying let's jumping back into City's Xcel I think I was because I I was this which is why my frame rate is pretty low my frame rate is like 35 to 50 right now which is pretty horrible to be honest but uh that's all right so I'm

[18:09] need we need uh Fire Fire Rescue Services bum there we go fire rescue and our income obviously goes away a lot when I

[18:21] there's not a lot I can do about it to be honest it's like well we're pretty much height we'll put one down

[18:38] there that's kind of cool okay so we put a big a big uh oh that that takes a lot of my money that that's going to be a bummer I'm sucking pretty hard at this bummer I'm sucking pretty hard at this I'm sucking pretty hard at this it's all
