[00:00] A man in Alabama wanted some ice cream,
[00:02] so he stopped by a spot called The Local
[00:05] Scoop. He had a less than positive
[00:08] experience, so he ended up leaving a
[00:10] negative review.
[00:12] And from that moment forward, he was
[00:14] hunted like Frodo Baggins. That was the
[00:16] biggest mistake of his life because the
[00:18] owner ruthless. She used the latest and
[00:22] greatest in NSA technology to track him
[00:25] down and unmask him, revealing his
[00:28] identity and months later noticed him at
[00:32] a stoplight and flagged him down so that
[00:35] way she could give him a piece of her
[00:37] mind about that review that he left
[00:40] months prior. It is a wacky video that
[00:44] escalates to an absurd degree that
[00:46] actually ends up with her and her
[00:47] husband getting arrested. All because
[00:50] one guy had the goal to leave a not
[00:54] great review about his experience with
[00:56] their ice cream shop.
[00:58] >> Wake up every day and you choose to be a
[00:59] little bit. We know where you live. I've
[01:01] spoke with your mom. I've got your phone
[01:02] number. Somebody that you messaged on
[01:04] Facebook dating gave me. That one's not
[01:06] going to go anywhere.
[01:06] >> What are you going to do about it?
[01:08] >> She's not going to do anything. But she
[01:09] gave me your biological government name,
[01:11] so now I can press charges on you.
[01:12] >> For what?
[01:14] >> Immediately, a lot to unpack here. So,
[01:16] she says that she got his phone number
[01:20] from someone he communicated with
[01:23] through Facebook dating and then also
[01:27] tracked down his mother, which is a very
[01:31] interesting strategy. I guess she
[01:33] thought, you know, by getting mommy
[01:35] involved, she'd go and ground him for
[01:39] giving his opinion on her ice cream
[01:42] shop. But like all the effort she's gone
[01:45] through to like dox this guy, like holy
[01:48] [ __ ] man. I tell you what, if this
[01:52] whole ice cream shop thing doesn't work
[01:53] out and it doesn't seem like it's
[01:55] working out, she could have another
[01:57] career as like a private investigator or
[01:59] something. She really goes the distance.
[02:01] But yeah, she used uh mama here as a way
[02:05] of getting his full legal name, which I
[02:08] feel like she already had if she was
[02:10] able to find his mom. I feel like that
[02:14] was another extra step that she didn't
[02:17] need to take. She's just basically
[02:19] getting everything she can about this
[02:21] guy. Probably got his SAT scores from
[02:23] high school as well, and now she's
[02:26] threatening to like press charges.
[02:29] What? What is the charge? Not enjoying a
[02:33] meal. An unsucculent ice cream meal.
[02:38] This is insanity manifest. What the [ __ ]
[02:41] is she yapping about? What? I'm so
[02:44] curious what crime she thought he
[02:47] committed by leaving a negative review.
[02:50] You're not allowed to express mean words
[02:52] about my ice cream shop. You're going to
[02:55] slammer buster. Lock lock him away and
[02:59] flush the key down this [ __ ] We got
[03:01] a menace on the loose. Did you see he
[03:02] hurt my feelings with this negative
[03:04] review? Why aren't you arresting him,
[03:05] officer? Take him away in cuffs. Like,
[03:08] this is some [ __ ] wackiness. Like,
[03:10] this is bonkers behavior here. She's off
[03:13] her gourd.
[03:14] >> Pritchard is not in.
[03:16] >> That's where you should be back at.
[03:17] That's where you belong. Maybe they
[03:18] would run your ass in the ground there
[03:20] because that's all you're good for.
[03:22] You're useless. You're literally You
[03:24] live in a camper and you door dash.
[03:26] garbage out of it cuz I own my
[03:28] >> garbage.
[03:29] >> You're just nothing. You're nobody.
[03:30] Here's the thing. You're going to keep
[03:32] on
[03:32] >> I said on that post was exactly right.
[03:35] Okay.
[03:35] >> I'm sorry that you
[03:36] >> made $42,000 in two months. I don't give
[03:39] a [ __ ] if you're proud of me. I've seen
[03:40] or you not be.
[03:41] >> I failed to see how you making $42,000
[03:45] in two months is in any way related to
[03:48] his negative review. Just because you've
[03:51] made a lot of money doesn't mean that
[03:55] you've debunked his negative review.
[03:58] Doesn't like invalidate his experience
[04:00] with it. It's like this is just her
[04:04] trying to flex and dunk on him. She
[04:06] keeps trying to say like you're nothing.
[04:08] You're nobody. You're trash. This and
[04:10] that. Yet, she has spent hours upon
[04:13] hours over the course of a few months,
[04:16] mind you, since this review, finding out
[04:19] everything she can about this guy like
[04:21] it's [ __ ] Jason Bourne or something.
[04:23] And now she is red in the face,
[04:26] steaming, just vomiting all this dril to
[04:31] him. The person that she says doesn't
[04:33] matter at all, by the way. Do you think
[04:35] I just woke up one morning and opened an
[04:37] ice cream shop? Or do you think I did my
[04:40] homework before I opened an ice cream
[04:41] shop? Which one do you think it is?
[04:43] Answer the question. My job.
[04:45] >> What I'm telling you is the local scoop
[04:47] is none of your concerns. It is my
[04:48] concern. No, it's absolutely citizen of
[04:50] the United States.
[04:51] >> You're not [ __ ] on any
[04:54] not
[04:56] I want. Okay.
[04:57] >> You will pay the price.
[04:58] >> No, you won't.
[04:59] >> Damn. This ice cream shop is serious
[05:01] business here. She rules that with an
[05:03] iron fist and she's bringing the hammer
[05:06] down. Don't you ever come back to the
[05:10] local scoop. It's none of your business.
[05:11] You are not welcome at the local scoop.
[05:13] That's a salty Spatoon. Go back to
[05:15] Weenie Hut Junior Ice Cream Shops. All
[05:17] right, pal. All right, Buster. Or else
[05:20] you'll pay the price. This is craziness,
[05:23] man. All just because he left a negative
[05:26] review, which he is allowed to do. He's
[05:28] 100% right. He can do that. He ate
[05:31] there, gave it a try, didn't like it.
[05:34] It's not a crime. Nothing wrong with
[05:36] that.
[05:37] >> No, I won't. You will. You will
[05:39] absolutely pay the price. Why are you
[05:41] shaking?
[05:42] >> You should be shaking. That's a good
[05:43] thing for you to do. Do not continue to
[05:46] involve yourself in my business. I will
[05:49] absolutely do something. Oh, but I will
[05:51] though. That's the thing. I absolutely
[05:52] will do something.
[05:54] ma'am are a
[05:55] >> I am mad because I have busted my ass at
[05:57] something and you think you're going to
[05:58] run it into the ground.
[06:00] >> You are the only person that has ever
[06:02] flagged me down.
[06:03] >> You know what I should tell you? I have
[06:04] a spine. I busted my ass to build that
[06:07] business.
[06:07] >> You have some mental issues that would
[06:10] cause you to get mad that I left a
[06:12] review on your restaurant. But here's
[06:14] the problem.
[06:14] >> The fact of the matter is I'm telling
[06:16] you as plain as I know how to tell you.
[06:17] He left a review on her restaurant and
[06:19] she's making it sound like he's waging
[06:21] war on her on a personal level. He ate
[06:24] there, didn't like it, left a negative
[06:26] review. End of story. And she's like,
[06:28] "You will not run my business into the
[06:30] ground." Also, the guy uh that she
[06:33] continues to say is like nothing, by the
[06:34] way, and is nobody. All of a sudden, his
[06:36] one uh bad review is apparently taking
[06:39] down her entire [ __ ] ice cream
[06:41] empire. And the astute observers will
[06:44] have noticed she is filming this
[06:46] interaction as well from her POV. This
[06:49] behavior always baffles me. Like it
[06:54] actually is it it is a flabbergasting
[06:58] phenomenon where someone who is clearly
[07:01] in the wrong just unhinged maniacal
[07:05] starts filming it because they are
[07:06] convinced they are delusional enough to
[07:09] believe that they are in the right and
[07:10] this makes them look good. So, she is
[07:12] filming this [ __ ] crash out from her
[07:14] own POV as well and I'm guessing posted
[07:18] it on her Facebook page or somewhere in
[07:21] her I don't know the ice cream mafia
[07:23] group or something. I I really have no
[07:25] clue where that ended up. But that
[07:27] happens all the time. I I really just
[07:31] don't get it.
[07:32] >> If you continue to mess with my
[07:34] business, you will live to regret it.
[07:37] >> Okay. And I'm going to call the police
[07:38] and tell you just threatened
[07:39] >> to call you. Nobody would ever [ __ ] you.
[07:41] You probably still have your virginity.
[07:42] Like that's cool.
[07:44] >> If that's what you think, but who would
[07:46] sleep with you?
[07:46] >> Here's the problem, man.
[07:47] >> It's getting really desperate now from
[07:50] her side here. Now she's bringing out
[07:52] League of Legends insults here. You
[07:55] You're still a virgin, by the way. I
[07:57] bet. Yeah. How about you take and take
[08:00] and how about that? You going to take
[08:02] that review back now? Thoughts? Virgin,
[08:06] >> you can say I was trying to hide and
[08:07] everything from a [ __ ] Yes, you were.
[08:10] If you weren't trying to hide, you would
[08:11] put Daniel Smith on your Facebook page.
[08:14] But you're a [ __ ] And
[08:15] >> have you never heard of a screen name?
[08:16] Have you never heard of a nickname?
[08:17] >> This ain't AOL, boo.
[08:18] >> It's not.
[08:19] >> This ain't AOL.
[08:20] >> But you can still put a name. That's
[08:21] your kids.
[08:22] >> Oh, [ __ ] It's She's having a full Porky
[08:25] Pig, blue screen in the brain type
[08:27] meltdown now. So now she's going to just
[08:30] this standard like mocking
[08:33] because she has nothing else that she
[08:35] can even begin to like piece together in
[08:38] her brain now during this argument that
[08:40] she has started by the way over his
[08:42] review. So now she's upset because he
[08:44] didn't use his real name for the review.
[08:46] He used like a screen name which I think
[08:49] is totally fine. I think more people
[08:52] should do that. I really think we had it
[08:54] right [ __ ] 15 years ago when it came
[08:57] to online [ __ ] where you don't want to
[08:59] just be sharing your full name, your
[09:01] [ __ ] every single little bit and
[09:03] piece about you, every little detail. I
[09:06] think that's the right way of doing
[09:07] things. Also, just to be extremely
[09:09] clear, no one should ever be afraid of
[09:12] leaving a bad review if they had a
[09:13] legitimately negative experience at a
[09:15] business. This should never be something
[09:18] that happens here where the owner of
[09:20] that business tracks you down because
[09:22] they're salty that you didn't have a
[09:25] good time with their ice cream shop in
[09:28] this case.
[09:29] >> Play video games. Do they not have the
[09:30] [ __ ] you got to say to me? Run your
[09:32] goddamn mouth about me, [ __ ]
[09:34] >> What did I say about you? Cuz I don't
[09:35] >> What did you say about me?
[09:36] >> I'm trying to remember.
[09:37] >> What did you say?
[09:38] >> I'm trying to remember.
[09:38] >> What did you say?
[09:40] >> Oh, [ __ ] Here comes Paul Blart rolling
[09:42] in deep now, smuggling beach balls under
[09:45] his camouflage hoodie. So now we've got
[09:49] goober number two that scoots in
[09:51] sideways and he enters into the
[09:53] Thunderdome here. Blood pressure through
[09:55] the [ __ ] roof looking like he's about
[09:56] to pop every blood vessel in his face.
[09:59] And he's mad now about the review. I
[10:03] guess maybe he mentioned the owners
[10:06] there like cuz even the guy like that's
[10:09] getting attacked here who left the
[10:10] reviews like I don't even know what
[10:12] you're talking about. I don't know what
[10:13] I said about you if I did say anything
[10:14] about you in the first place.
[10:16] >> What didn't you say?
[10:16] >> Who's a [ __ ] now? Daniel remember
[10:21] >> who's a [ __ ] now. Daniel cuz you're the
[10:23] one backing up my daddy or daddy.
[10:26] >> Call him daddy. Call him daddy talking.
[10:28] >> What? Pardon? call him daddy.
[10:33] Th It's getting so weird and just so off
[10:36] the rails. She's all over the place. I
[10:38] don't I can't tell if she's aroused or
[10:40] angry anymore now. It's getting sexual
[10:44] out of nowhere. This guy rolls up and
[10:46] now all of a sudden I don't know if
[10:48] they're fighting or [ __ ] what's about
[10:49] to happen here. It's confusing. So many
[10:52] mixed signals coming coming from their
[10:55] camp now. Very odd. Very odd indeed. all
[11:00] over a bad review for their ice cream
[11:02] shop. By the way, also to state the
[11:04] obvious, I think this guy backing up and
[11:07] being afraid is totally understandable.
[11:10] This is a very peculiar situation to be
[11:13] in. They are really like in a state of
[11:17] psychosis at this point. They might be
[11:19] armed or something. They have tracked
[11:21] him down months later all because of his
[11:24] bad review. And now it's 2v1 here. Like
[11:27] it is something to be fearful of. They
[11:29] don't know if they have a gun or a knife
[11:31] that they might just use all because he
[11:33] just expressed having a bad time at
[11:34] their ice cream shop. So, I get why he
[11:37] would be like backing up. That makes
[11:39] sense.
[11:40] >> Call him daddy.
[11:41] >> I can't hear you.
[11:42] >> Call him daddy.
[11:42] >> Huh?
[11:43] >> Call him daddy.
[11:44] >> That's a podcast on a on a show.
[11:46] >> Call him daddy. You asked if I called
[11:47] him [ __ ] with you
[11:49] >> and you just started [ __ ] with me.
[11:50] >> Have a great day. Have a great day.
[11:52] >> Huh?
[11:52] >> Have a great day.
[11:52] >> Why you walking away?
[11:53] >> Why you walking away? You don't want to
[11:55] talk now. You want to TALK ALL THAT
[11:57] [ __ ] [ __ ] I'M TRYING TO, BUT y'all
[11:58] won't let me say one word. Y'all see
[11:59] here's the thing.
[12:00] >> Why did you talk [ __ ] about me?
[12:01] >> Can you let me Can you let me
[12:04] >> paragraph this paid off? She paid off
[12:06] the debt to the store. Paid off the debt
[12:08] to the credit card.
[12:09] >> You just touched me. I'm
[12:11] >> Callum. Call him.
[12:13] >> That's where the recording ends. That's
[12:14] the end of the Cloverfield footage that
[12:17] we get.
[12:19] Wow.
[12:21] Pretty fascinating stuff. I got to tell
[12:23] you, local scoop doesn't really seem
[12:26] like a overly great environment to go
[12:28] get yourself a nice little sweet treat.
[12:32] If you're if you're making a trip out to
[12:34] the local scoop, you better bring your
[12:36] brass knuckles cuz that [ __ ] might just
[12:38] pop off at any moment if they notice
[12:40] like a frown on your face or heaven
[12:42] forbid you bring out your phone. You
[12:43] might be leaving a bad review and they
[12:45] can't take any chances. Like just be
[12:47] careful out there around the local
[12:49] scoop. A viral social media video out of
[12:52] Bayonette has led to the arrest of two
[12:54] local business owners. A customer's
[12:56] online review led to a parking lot
[12:58] confrontation, a smash phone, and now
[13:00] criminal charges. Mallerie and Ryan
[13:02] Goldman, owners of the local scoop ice
[13:04] cream shop, were arrested Thursday night
[13:06] and charged with misdemeanor harassment
[13:08] and criminal mischief. The charges stem
[13:10] from a June 7th encounter with Daniel
[13:12] Smith. I really feel like the ice cream
[13:16] shop owners didn't get the W here that
[13:19] they thought they did. Not only did they
[13:22] look like complete clowns, but now they
[13:26] actually have charges that stem from
[13:29] this.
[13:30] >> A customer who left a one-star Google
[13:32] review of the business on its grand
[13:34] opening in March.
[13:35] >> Didn't think nothing of it until I was
[13:37] reminded 3 months later. Smith says he
[13:40] was working as a food delivery driver
[13:42] when Mallerie Goldman recognized him at
[13:44] a stoplight and asked to speak with him
[13:46] about the review. He agreed to meet her
[13:48] at a McDonald's parking lot after
[13:50] finishing a delivery stop, but says the
[13:52] conversation quickly turned hostile.
[13:54] >> That's [ __ ] crazy. So, she's spent
[13:57] time looking him up, digging in deep to
[14:00] find his baby photos, his current
[14:02] photos, this and that, his name, uh,
[14:05] even who he's been talking to on dating
[14:08] apps, I guess, and then recognized his
[14:12] face
[14:14] on the road.
[14:17] That's That's unbelievable. That's That
[14:20] is actually unbelievable to me. and she
[14:22] was still angry about it to the point
[14:25] that she flagged him down so that way
[14:28] they could, you know, hash it out here.
[14:31] I can't believe he actually said yes to
[14:34] that, like agreed to it. I imagine he
[14:35] thought that it would be like a I don't
[14:37] know, like a peaceful thing or like a
[14:40] like a peaceful resolution. Like I don't
[14:42] know, but that that would have been an
[14:44] immediate red flag. Super alarming
[14:46] behavior. That is not normal. That's not
[14:48] healthy.
[14:50] >> Okay,
[14:50] >> I'm going to leave this property. Can
[14:52] you imagine this?
[14:52] >> But I'm telling you right now, smelling
[14:54] like
[14:54] >> Smith says he started recording and
[14:56] claims Goldman then knocked the phone
[14:58] from his hand and stomped on it. The
[15:00] video spread fast, drawing hundreds of
[15:02] thousands of views on Facebook. The
[15:04] fallout has extended beyond social
[15:06] media.
[15:07] >> It was just reached out to by the brand
[15:09] that uh supplies the ice cream for the
[15:10] ice cream shop, and they just told me
[15:12] that they're no longer going to do
[15:13] business with them.
[15:14] >> Despite the attention the incident has
[15:15] received, Smith says he's ready to move
[15:18] forward.
[15:18] >> Yeah, that sounds about right. He had
[15:21] already moved forward. They're the ones
[15:24] that brought it up months later because
[15:26] he just left a bad review. And can you
[15:28] believe it? Their supplier pulled out
[15:31] from the local scoop. Oh, they'll ru the
[15:34] day. No doubt. The local scoop. A
[15:37] meteoric rise. No doubt is on its way.
[15:41] So yeah, not only did they get charges,
[15:44] they lost their ice cream supplier. So
[15:46] now Mallerie's going to have to just be
[15:48] whipping that [ __ ] up by herself in the
[15:50] garage or something doing it old natural
[15:53] just supplying the ice cream out of thin
[15:56] [ __ ] air or something. Get herself
[15:58] some fairy godp parentents to just wish
[16:00] some ice cream into their shop. Now it's
[16:03] like it was so easily avoidable. It was
[16:06] apparently doing well making $42,000 in
[16:08] two months and then she decided to
[16:10] torpedo everything by hunting this man
[16:13] down like an animal. All because he left
[16:16] a onestar review.
[16:18] [ __ ] wild stuff, man. I I I had to
[16:21] yap about it. I had to. That's really
[16:23] about it. See you.
