Download .txt[00:02] which makes it time to sit down and catch up on what's going on in wow this week. This week they announced patch 12.0.7, which is funny because I still feel like I'm just figuring out what's going on in
[00:15] 1205, but it's announced it's on the way. Presumably in like 6 weeks if they keep to this 8-week patch schedule, and we now have a more detailed look at what's in it. There's going to be turbulent
[00:28] timewalking coming back, which is the timewalking that we have become familiar back-to-back of timewalking. That's going to be returning. It's going to be bringing Dragonflight dungeons into timewalking. And the mount reward
[00:41] this time looks like it's the spawn of Vierno. Looks like this. That's a pretty people interested in that. I cannot believe that it is already time for Dragonflight to be timewalking. But it is.
[00:57] We're doing it. 1207 is also adding a one-boss raid to the game, the fungal giant Rottmire. I think this looks neat, and the notable thing about this one is that this is the debut of flex mythic difficulty, which
[01:12] is going to adjust between 15 and 25 players. So far mythic difficulty has been 20 players exactly. Blizzard has given reasons about how it is easier to tune for a specific raid size for something that needs as tight tuning as
[01:27] figuring it out, and we'll see how it goes. This patch especially with bonus rolls, I know quite a few people that had not dipped into mythic previously have been maybe poking a toe into
[01:39] Kamaras mythic in particular. Get a bonus roll on like a mythic gaze. So perhaps flex mythic might continue that trend. but it's probably not what they're trying to
[01:52] They also announced invasion portals, which seem very reminiscent of the Argus invasion portals that you might remember from either Legion the first time or Legion remix. These appear to actually be the same map. The screenshots look
[02:05] awfully familiar, but this time around they should have world quest, rares, and world bosses on them, so even more new world content. They've also announced new customizable player power in the form of the omnium
[02:18] was going to forget immediately. The good news is that this customizable power is not on an armor slot like this or say circlet rings or anything like that. It's just going to be runes that you can collect and empower, and they
[02:32] will give you customizable power. Hopefully they're fun. I won't lie to you. When I first read this one, I felt a little bit preemptively exhausted because how many versions of this have we had by now, and
[02:45] do we really need them? I know it's more power, and I shouldn't complain, but you are asking people to learn the new thing, so I feel that the new thing kind of needs to earn the you know, the right to be learned,
[02:58] and I'm not sure that we're making that bar, but I don't know. Maybe it'll be super sick. One question that I'm curious to find One question that I'm curious to find out is how long will we be using the
[03:10] runes and the powers from our omnium folio? Because normally this kind of folio? Because normally this kind of like very late patch customizable gear it lasts you a little ways into the following tier, but usually gets
[03:22] it's a piece of jewelry. This time around if you're not going to like replace the ring it's on or whatever because it's not on a ring, are you going to be using this one are they going to nerf it for then? Are they
[03:34] going to expect raiders that come back just for 12.1 to go back and progress I don't know. I kind of hope not, but then if not, then how disposable is it? How long are we using it for? I don't know.
[03:47] answers. There's definitely been a mood amongst some wow players that I've talked to about how quickly content has been coming, and then how how buggy the last patch was, and then serving to kind of
[04:02] patch was, and then serving to kind of aggravate that, they have been putting a lot of things on the cosmetic cash shop and some expensive things as well. Having this kind of like tons of content being released, heavy dose of expensive
[04:16] shop cosmetics, I feel makes wow feel kind of cheap, a little more like tacky shovelware. There was a time at one point where reputation for being really well polished and kind of premium and
[04:30] something worth waiting for. And I think it's safe to say that those days are like very gone. I also while I'm while I'm ragging, I will say it's harder to sell a player on a new feature and kind of get them to
[04:43] buy into it and invest in figuring out what it is and how it works and if it's fun when you've released like 150 features in a year. I'm exaggerating, new things that they dump out, the harder it is to talk somebody into even
[04:56] let alone trying them all and evaluating. One argument in favor of having this much content is that everybody can kind of like taste the best, and there is options for everybody, which is great, but
[05:12] your proverbial taste buds may get a little overwhelmed. And then on the other hand, to play defense for a second here, I will say, of the patch bugs, I am currently in this patch having more
[05:27] fun like than ever in the game. I think that keys have been excellent and felt fun to push. I've been playing as a holy priest. I'm nearly at 3K. I'm kind of well. I think that raid progression was really
[05:42] happened with less add-ons than I've ever had to use in the past, which was nice. And we just killed heroic Luro, which was such a cool fight, and I think that encounter design is better than it's ever been.
[05:56] I think that a lot of the new features including specifically Decurse Duels and Abyssal Anglers. When they go for these kind of very optional sort of power-free fun. I felt like I could play Decurse Duels for a long time.
[06:10] And then I think that they've done a really good job in Midnight at making the whole game a little bit more accessible both from like classes being understand how they work, and then encounters being a little bit easier to
[06:23] sort of sight read and understand how they work. And one really nice side easier than ever to rip and do alt and try a role that you haven't played before. I've been setting up a fury warrior, and I never play melee, and I
[06:36] warrior, and I never play melee, and I am almost like I melee DPS is kind of expect me to be because I never do it. I've always been ranged or healing. But it's been really fun, and I'm excited to like actually take a crack at it and see
[06:49] achievable. It doesn't feel like I need a degree. For me, as long as the game is still fun, I'm still going to be playing. And lately it's been passing that bar for me. On in spite of everything, it's been
[07:04] really fun. That is the one thing that you can't not fun, then we're going to be having a bad time, and I can forgive a lot if the underlying experience still feels worth having. A side effect of how rapidly the
[07:18] content has been coming out, however, is that it is sort of at least for now kind of curing me of any completionism that I previously had. There's so many things come out. So many things to do
[07:34] that some of it I've just accepted is going to slip by me. going to slip by me. I am not going to get every mount or pet or decor, and I've accepted that now. I understand that. Some of it even if it's
[07:47] easy, I'm never even going to learn about or try to do because there's only game. And if there's already something fun in front of you, it's just started to feel kind of exhausting to chase down everything that you could possibly do
[08:00] because there's just too many things to to do and to collect. I think I can make my peace with that. The things that I do go after I think will be more special
[08:14] stuff that we're getting, but there are some hardcore collectors that may feel the burn as they try to keep up with the onslaught of new cosmetics with every new piece of content we get. Anyway, other things going on in the
[08:27] least for a couple more days. This is another one of those only one-week long holidays. So a couple days left on that. There is a new item for Children's Week. It is the nap mat toy available on the vendor in exchange for
[08:41] a well-loved figurine, which you can pick as a reward at the end of an orphan quest line. Does not take too long to do. So if you like the look of the toy, make sure you do that before Children's Week ends. And the May trading post is
[08:53] here. Special shout-out to some Gilnean-themed items including a few horses with very thick braided tails and some small top hats that do hide your Love that. [sighs and gasps] I would take more of that.
[09:08] And then in my life, the pets are doing pretty good. I'm going to try to get together my very best kitten videos to compile for the next YouTube member upload. Shout-out to my legendary tier YouTube members. And I'm going to try to
[09:20] keep up my regular schedule stream as long as they're not stepping on my power Or even if they do step on the power button a lot of times, we can just turn of crinkle balls and springs I can throw
[09:33] Thank you so much for watching. Feel free to stop by my stream sometime to say hi if you like, and I hope you have a wonderful, wonderful day. Bye. >> [music]
