This video by Brandi from Life Marketing explains how to determine the best time to post Facebook Reels for maximum engagement. It provides general average times from a study, then teaches viewers how to analyze their own page insights to find the optimal posting schedule for their specific audience, and offers bonus resources for increasing views.
Brandi introduces herself and the Life Marketing channel, which focuses on helping small businesses grow through digital marketing.
A study found weekdays are best for Facebook posting, with specific times: 1pm, 2pm, or 3pm on Monday and Tuesday; 11am or 1pm on Wednesday; 5pm or 8pm on Thursday; and 11am on Friday.
Weekends, especially Sundays, along with early mornings and late nights, are the worst times to post on Facebook for engagement.
The study's times are averages and may not apply to every audience. Time zones and audience-specific behavior can make these times ineffective.
Go to Facebook page Insights, click Posts, filter by engagement (or reach), and review the top 10-20 posts to note their posting days and times.
Look for patterns in your top-performing posts. If engagement is highest on certain days or times, post during those windows to maximize reach.
If you lack engagement data, start with the average best times listed, test different days and times, and then analyze your insights after a few weeks.
Brandi offers professional short video marketing services and recommends two videos: one with six exclusive tips for more views and another on common Facebook reel mistakes.

[00:27] Alright, so let's start by defining the best times to post on average. One study found that weekdays were the best time to post on Facebook and that these were the best times. 1pm, 2pm, or 3pm Monday and Tuesday, 11am or 1pm Wednesday, 5pm or 8pm Thursday, and
[00:44] 11am on Friday. Some conclusions drawn from these findings were that weekends, particularly Sundays, along with early mornings or late nights are the worst times to post on Facebook if you want engagement. But before you go running off posting your Reels at these times, it's important to note
[00:59] that these were the average times found for one study. And what time zones are these anyway? What if the best times are different for your specific audience? How do you account for that? I'm going to show you. Here's how to calculate the best time to post Facebook Reels for your specific audience.
[01:14] Looking at your Facebook page, click Insights on the left sidebar. Then click Posts. From there you want to filter to view posts by reach or engagement but if you looking to get more engagement on your reels I would filter by engagement Then you can click into each post to see exactly when you posted them Go down the list and make note of the days and times of the top 10 to 20 posts Then look at your list to see if
[01:36] there's a pattern. If you find that you're getting the most engagement on Tuesdays and Thursdays, post on those days. If your top posts were all posted in the early afternoon, aim for that same time range. The goal is to make an informed decision based on historical data as to when
[01:50] you'll receive the most engagement from your audience. Now some of you may be thinking, I haven't had a lot of engagement yet, so I don't really have a lot of data to go off of yet. If that's the case, then you'll want to start with the average best times I listed at the
[02:02] start of this video. Try all the different times and different days because you're in the testing phase and you have to start somewhere. Then after you've been posting your reels for a few weeks, come back to your insights page to see if there's a pattern in the top performing posts.
[02:16] Now I want to wrap up with some bonus resources to get more views on your reels. But first I want to say if you need a professional to come in and just handle short video marketing for you from top to bottom, we do that every day for small business owners.
