The video promises to show step-by-step how to create a Dark YouTube channel from scratch to get more subscribers and views.
Before creating a channel, you need to decide on a niche and a name. The host recommends watching a video on the PHL method for niche selection.
It's safer to create a new Google account specifically for the channel rather than using a personal email. Steps include signing up with a new email, phone verification, and recovery email.
After account creation, click on the profile picture, then 'Create a channel'. Choose a channel name and '@' handle carefully.
Go to YouTube Studio settings. Set default currency (e.g., BRL for Brazilian Real). In the 'Channel' tab, add keywords relevant to your content (up to 500 characters) to help with search.
In advanced settings, check 'Do not configure this channel as not being content for children' to avoid marking each video individually.
Intermediate features require phone verification to unlock longer videos, custom thumbnails, and live streams. Advanced features require ID verification or video submission to unlock more uploads, external links, and content claim disputes.
In upload settings, you can set default descriptions (e.g., affiliate links) and tags that apply to all videos. Tags are specific to each video and help with SEO.
Set a default category (e.g., Education) and video language (e.g., Brazilian Portuguese) to help YouTube generate automatic subtitles.
In the 'Personalization' menu, add a trailer video for new visitors, a featured video for subscribers, and organize sections. In 'Branding', upload an avatar, banner, and watermark to encourage subscriptions.
Write a compelling channel description using keywords. Include links to social media and a contact email. The first line appears below the channel title.
By following these steps, beginners can create a fully optimized Dark YouTube channel that is ready to attract subscribers and views. The host emphasizes that proper setup and SEO are crucial for algorithm recognition and channel growth.

14:12[00:03] show you step-by-step how to create a Dark YouTube channel from scratch so you can start the right way and get many more subscribers and views for your channel. Welcome to the Dark Makers channel!
[00:21] going to show you everything you need to create your channel without mistakes. We'll configure and optimize your channel so you don't waste time posting but you'll already be starting down the path to your channel's success. Remember
[00:35] that before you start creating your channel, you need to have in mind what your niche will be and what name you're going to give it. And if you're new to the channel and are still unsure about which niche to choose, watch the video in the
[00:47] card where I teach the PHL method, which is how I chose my niche. Take advantage and subscribe to the channel to receive more content on YouTube. I'll teach you everything you need to know to start a career
[01:00] platform. But now, let's get started. This is a account creation process before creating a channel. I advise that if you're
[01:13] starting a new channel, you go through this process and create an account from scratch. It's much safer to have a specific channel account than to use a personal email that everyone already knows. But if you've already created this
[01:25] specific account for the channel, you can skip ahead a bit and go straight to the channel creation step. To begin, go to the YouTube website. It's important account. Now, on the same page, in the upper right corner, click on "
[01:39] Sign in." Now let's click on "Create account." Here you can create an account for personal use, for a child, or for work or business. Choose the last option because it allows you to add more people to help you manage the
[01:53] channel. Also, you should consider creating YouTube videos as a job. Here we'll put our first and last name, and then we'll put an email that we've already created, or we'll create a new email.
[02:08] As I said, it's better to create a new email exclusively for your channel. I'm going to create this one here. For this lesson only, where you create a password and confirm it, click next. It will ask for your phone number, enter it here,
[02:20] and click next. You will receive a code via SMS; just type it in important that you enter a different email address so you can recover your password. Fill in the remaining fields and click next. Here you
[02:35] can click skip. This part has all the terms of use, which are also very important to read, but for this video, let's just check here and click create account. Now your account is ready; just click no. Now you
[02:49] YouTube, and here in the little picture in the right corner, we can click to start creating our channel here on YouTube. Now click create a channel. where you can put the name of your channel. Choose the name carefully,
[03:02] put the name below. You can put a logo for your channel. This @ is the new way to identify your channel on YouTube. There can be several channels with the same name, but there will only be one at per channel; there will never be
[03:15] a channel with the same name. The same identification is important, and it's really cool if you put the channel name in the "@" symbol if possible. If not, you'll have to create something similar, which is what I did here on the Dark Makers channel because the
[03:28] channel name is Dark Maker, but that "@" symbol already existed, so I used the Dark Makers channel name. Now, here's the most important part of the video: optimize your channel to reach a larger audience and start off on the right foot.
[03:43] name and the "@" symbol, you click on "create channel," and you'll be directed to YouTube Studio. Once inside the YouTube Studio page, let's first go to the settings." Clicking on it will
[03:57] where you can choose the default unit for your channel. YouTube will always pay you in dollars, but if you change it here to BRL, which is the Brazilian Real, you'll be able to see your revenue already converted to Reais. But that's up
[04:13] to you; I'll select BRL here. Now let's go to the "channel" tab here on the left, and pay attention to this part because it's very important. Let's start by selecting your country, your region, and here... In the field below,
[04:28] keywords. These words are very important for your channel. So you have to separate here everything that is relevant to your channel, everything that has to do with your content. The name here is the keyword. But you can put
[04:40] some phrases like "how to create a YouTube channel," "Dark channel," "monetize channel." These are some that have to do with my channel and with this fictional channel that what you think people will search for in the YouTube search to
[04:57] find your channel because they will search and find it through these keywords. There is space for 500 characters here. So use your creativity and fill in as much as you think will help people locate
[05:11] keywords in another part of the video. So pay attention now. Let's go up here to the advanced settings tab. We need to check this option: "Do not configure this channel as not being content for
[05:26] children." I never upload content for children. By checking this option, whenever you upload a video, it will already be marked as not for children. You won't need to worry about this every time you upload a video. And in this tab, that's
[05:39] all we need to do now. Let's go to the feature eligibility tab. This is one of the most important tabs; it's where you'll unlock several features for your channel. This first standard feature is already activated;
[05:52] it allows you to upload videos, create playlists, add collaborators to playlists, and add new videos to existing playlists. As for the intermediate features, which is the second one, you'll need to verify
[06:08] your phone number. It's very simple: you click on "Verify phone number," then you'll be taken to this page where you'll enter your phone number and choose whether you want to receive an SMS or a call. Then you
[06:20] click "Receive code" and then activate it. When you do this part, you'll go back and see that "eligible" will change to " activated." In my case, it didn't change because I didn't get to that step; I'm just showing you how to do it.
[06:33] YouTube limits the number of channels by phone number so that people can't create too many channels with the same number. After you activate this part, you'll be able to record videos longer than 15 minutes,
[06:47] add custom thumbnails to your videos, and do live streams. Now let's go to the third one. And the last feature, which is the advanced feature to unlock all these features that are on the side, you will need to either
[07:00] send a video from your cell phone ( click here and follow the instructions here), or take a picture of your documents, such as your ID card, driver's license, or passport, and send it to them for evaluation.
[07:14] These first two options are the most recommended because you can do this and resolve it in one or two days. But you can also have it verified through your channel history, where you upload videos to YouTube, they review your videos, and
[07:28] then it will be unlocked for you, but it takes around one to two months. After approval, you unlock all these features: creating more live streams per day, uploading more videos per day, creating more short videos per day, and embedding
[07:44] is also very important: being able to put external links in something as an affiliate. It's important that you can include these links that lead to sales pages. It also unlocks
[07:59] content claim dispute, meaning that if someone uses your content, you will receive a notification to dispute it. The most important thing is that you need to have this feature activated so you can... To qualify for the
[08:13] mean you'll already be monetized; you can enroll in the program after you meet the goals. Okay, now we've finished configuring this part of the channel. Now let's move on to the upload settings. On the
[08:27] left, in this first section, is the basic information, the title of your video. For example, if you write something here, every time you upload a video it will already have that title. But we're not going to
[08:39] do that because we're going to name the video according to the theme we uploaded it to, so it doesn't make sense to leave anything written here. In this lower part of the descriptions, you can leave something predefined. For
[08:52] example, you can see that some channels include " my equipment" and leave a whole list of equipment with links to Amazon, where the person interested in their equipment. So, if you have
[09:07] affiliate links that you want to appear in all videos, or a link to your course or a page on your website, you can leave them here below. When you upload your video, you can change or add things to the description. So,
[09:21] keep this in mind because... This visibility aspect can make your life a little easier. We also won't mark anything because otherwise everything we upload will either be public or private, depending on you. What do you
[09:34] prefer? I prefer not to mark anything because I like to schedule my videos. Below, we have the tags section. These tags aren't the same ones we used for the channel. These are specific to each
[09:46] video you upload, so you can also add some specific tags here according to your channel's subject. For example, your channel name itself can be a tag here. If you have a gaming channel and your content is
[09:59] always gameplay, you can also add " Gameplay." Remember that there are 500 characters here, so you can add some tags and leave space for other tags for each video you upload. These will be
[10:13] tags more related to what you're talking about in the video, the main subject of your video. But I think some here are useful to make your life easier. Now let's go to the advanced settings tab at the top. Here you
[10:26] can choose a category for your channel. For example, if your channel is food games, you entertainment, you put... Entertainment: If you intend to be an influencer, you'll appear on the channel; it has your name. You can put "
[10:40] people" and "blogs" here. In my case, since I'm teaching, I'll put "education" here as well. We can also mark the video language because every time you upload, it will identify that your video is Brazilian Portuguese,
[10:53] which will help YouTube identify it to create automatic subtitles for your video. In "subtitle certification," mark that your content has never been shown on television in the United States. In " title and description language," you
[11:06] can also put "Brazilian Portuguese" to make life even easier for the comment settings, we can leave it marked as it is. Now just click save, and all this configuration is ready. With
[11:20] that, we're back here on the main panel, but now we're going to the left in the "personalization" menu. Right away we'll see the layout, right? In this layout section, you can put a trailer video so that every time
[11:34] a new person arrives at your channel, they see this video. You can also put a featured video so that after the person has subscribed to your channel, they won't see the trailer video anymore; they'll receive this... The featured video section
[11:46] below, in the featured selection, is where you'll organize your channel. You can choose whether you want all the short videos to appear first, or if you prefer to show the longer videos first. You can also
[11:58] add other options by clicking the "add session" button. You can add playlists or any other type of section. After that, we go to the "branding" tab. In this tab, you can add an avatar
[12:12] by clicking the "upload" button. You can select a photo from your computer and then resize the circle, leaving only the "focus" option that appears inside that little circle that appears in your
[12:25] comments. Images and banners are the same thing. You'll click "upload," select a banner, or a cover you created for your channel on your computer. This cover should have been designed with how it will
[12:39] appear on television, computers, smartphones, and tablets in mind. Selecting it we can also add a watermark. I like to put a watermark there that says " subscribe" in some way so that people
[12:53] know that clicking there will bring up a button for them to subscribe. Your channel: It might seem silly, but the more options you give people to subscribe, the more subscribers you'll end up gaining.
[13:05] Remember that later I'll make a video tutorial teaching you how to create a cover the right way, where you can put the information, and where you have to be careful that the information isn't cut off on your phone. It's a very
[13:17] detailed tutorial that will help you create your channel's identity. Now, we 're up here with basic information. We can already see that at this point and we can also change the identifier. You can see that it says it
[13:31] 's possible to change your name twice in 14 days, the same goes for the identifier. So, if in the creation process you accidentally misspelled a letter and wrote the name wrong, or if you have a
[13:44] better idea for the name before you've started the channel, you can change it later, once you've keep changing the name. This will disrupt both the algorithm and the your channel name, so it's not worth it. And below you can see the
[13:59] description, but this description is for you to... Here, you need to show what content you'll deliver to people who subscribe to your channel or who are interested in
[14:12] subscribing and will be reading this description. Remember I mentioned earlier that we'll need to use the tags you created for the channel and another part of the video? Well, this part is very important for
[14:25] optimizing your channel, for the SEO of your channel, so the algorithm can find it more easily. Create a catchy text that uses the keywords you put in your channel. It's good to
[14:39] create some phrases that fit those words; don't just haphazardly. That won't work. Keep in mind that this first line you write will appear below your channel title,
[14:53] so it's interesting to put a short, attractive text here that shows what the person can learn on your channel, what But down here we can also add some links; you can
[15:07] add your Instagram, a page you created on Facebook, and below that you put some information. Contact, which would be your email address (not the same email you're using to create the channel, but the contact email), create
[15:22] an email address where you'll receive proposals and things like that on the channel, and try to follow all the steps I showed in this video. You can be sure that your channel is optimized and ready to start receiving new
[15:34] subscribers. It will be much easier for the algorithm to recognize you now. I hope this content has helped you, and I'll see you in the next video. Subscribe to the the next video. Subscribe to the Dark Makers channel and become a Maker
