How to Catch a Lying Therapist in a Detective Game
60sThe clip demonstrates a clever logic puzzle where a therapist's lie is exposed by counting neighbors, making viewers feel smart and eager to try the game.

This video is a playthrough and review of Jupiter, a detective puzzle game. The creator explains the core mechanics, walks through several cases with increasing complexity, and highlights the roles, strategies, and challenges involved. The video concludes with a verdict on the game's quality.
The game involves solving crimes by knocking on doors and speaking to residents, each providing info. Two of five residents are mobsters who lie, while innocent roles like mailman, reporter, therapist provide truthful statements.
The tutorial teaches deduction: the therapist claimed three evil clients, but only has two neighbors (one is a crime scene), so he's lying and is a Spectre. This immediately leads to an arrest.
In real game, time pressure matters. Serial killer kills adjacent person every 9 hours; con man pretends to be another role but tells truth; meddlers like surgeon (kills every 12 hours) and full guy (misleads others) add chaos.
The weatherman identifies three doors (one innocent, one meddler, one villain) but can lie. The vigilante ability can kill evil roles; if private eye was evil, vigilante shot works.
The mathematician announces sum of evil role addresses. In one case, sum 7 pointed to doors 5 and 2; after cross-checking with other clues, it led to identifying the con man.
The drunk lies but isn't a villain; the tailor confirms alignments; the accountant shuffles numbers; the bounty hunter taints innocents causing them to lie.
In the final mission, the traitor (e.g., idol) lies and taints neighbors; the critic plummets reputation; the judge demands arrests. Identifying the idol via logical inconsistencies (e.g., impossible sums) led to victory.
The game offers different case types: murder-heavy or misdirection-heavy, providing variety. The creator praises it as a fun puzzle game with depth.
Catching a Lie via Impossibility
Demonstrates a core logical deduction technique: using the board layout to invalidate a claim.
02:29Con Man Tells Truth
Introduces a counterintuitive principle that liars are not always criminals, complicating assumptions.
09:21Mathematician's Sum Clue
Highlights a powerful but limited deduction tool based on arithmetic, adding strategic depth.
14:25Impossible Sum Exposes Liar
Shows a specific, elegant logical kill: when a claimed sum is mathematically impossible, the speaker is lying.
20:09Bounty Hunter's Taint
Explains a mechanism that corrupts information from otherwise trustworthy roles, raising the stakes.
23:42[00:02] This is many a true nerd and welcome to Juper a detective puzzle game that looks conceptually simple but gets a fish in a hurry. But okay, let's just jump on in
[00:14] is much easier to get your head around if you just see it in action. So what I'm trying to do is solve a crime. As you can see there's a crime scene right up there. Presumably someone's been murdered. So, I need to track down the
[00:29] people who did it. The way we do that is literally by going and knocking on doors and speaking to everyone in the local area one by one. So, crack open the door here. And the mailman lives in this house. And the mailman's got information
[00:44] for me. The priest lives in town, but I've never heard of a therapist. So, what's going on here is everyone you speak to is going to give you some sort of information. Specifically, the mailman here. What he's going to do is
[00:58] be somewhere behind one of these other doors and someone who you're not going to find at all. Assuming that is that's really the mailman because we know from over here there are two bad people
[01:13] hidden among these five doors. So, uh, two of these five people are going to lie to Maria because a mobster, if I knock on their door, is not going to admit to being a mobster. They're going to pretend to be one of the blue
[01:29] innocent roles. The information they give me is a lie. So, that might be a mailman telling me a real fact that the therapist is not going to be located inside this area, but the priest will be, or it could be a mobster who's lying
[01:44] to me. Basically, we need to go around, put the pieces together, and try and come up with, yes, a combination of facts and lies that make sense. So, on to door number two. Door number two is a reporter. So, reporters tell you how
[01:59] close they are to the nearest evil person, i.e. one of the people we're actually after. So, if the reporter is telling the truth, yeah, either the mailman or the person behind door number four is a liar. So, as you've opened
[02:14] door number one already, yeah, crack open door number four. Door number four is a therapist's therapist deal being Yeah. Basically, they tell you how many neighbors they've got who are evil. And on this occasion,
[02:29] this being a tutorial, we've immediately caught that therapist in a lie because the therapist claims they've got three evil clients. And their clients are, yes, just their adjacent neighbors. But the therapist doesn't have three
[02:43] neighbors. One of its neighbors is the crime scene. That's not a person. Therefore, we know the therapist is lying. As a result of that, we can lying. As a result of that, we can arrest you right now. And yeah, that
[02:56] wasn't a therapist. It was a spectre who once again is going to lie and pretend once again is going to lie and pretend to be someone else, but also obscures a role. So, right, someone else on this board. We might not be able to see who
[03:09] or what they are cuz the spectre is obscuring them. We've still got one evil person to find. So, knock on door number three. There we go. Someone who's been obscured on account of the spectre's interference. And finally, a reporter.
[03:25] I'm two steps away from the closest evil. And on this occasion, we have to yes use a process of elimination, which is the suspect list says there's one reporter, but we found two. So, one of them must be lying. This one did tell me
[03:41] the truth. So, I'm going to assume that you, sir, are actually lying and attempting to frame the priest who's been obscured by the spectre. So, just arrest you. And there we go. Nice and simple. But as I say, this is just a uh,
[03:58] you know, basic tutorial that's deliberately designed to be nice and simple. Let's jump into the game proper where things get a lot more complicated because you see in the real game one, the suspect list is vastly longer,
[04:14] meaning yes, a lot more people may or may not show up. But on top of that, yes, we've got a few more uh complications. One, you may have noticed as I open a door, yes, trudging about from house to
[04:28] house uses up time. And time didn't matter in the tutorial, but it does matter now because some people, after a certain amount of time has passed, start doing bad things. One of the people I need to track down, the serial killer,
[04:44] who obviously doesn't admit to being a serial killer. when you knock on their serial killer. when you knock on their door every 9 hours they kill someone adjacent to them which is you know bad cuz it means someone's dead and that
[04:57] person in theory could have provided useful information but two does partly give away their position. So yeah ideally let's try and not allow people to be killed if we can avoid it and then yeah the second person here is the con
[05:13] man. So once again, pretends to be someone else, but the trick with you is you don't actually get revealed when you get arrested. So fine, we'll deal with that when it comes up. But on top of that, you may have noticed over on the
[05:26] left here, we're not just dealing with innocents and villains right now, innocents and villains right now, there's also one medler in yellow. These people cause trouble, but aren't actually villains. So yeah, there might
[05:40] be a surgeon on the field who every 12 hours may or may not kill someone. And yeah, then there's a f guy who is not a villain, but everybody else will act as if they were. So yeah, some information that the friendlies give to me and might
[05:56] be incorrect because they're assuming the full guy is actually a villain when the full guy is actually a villain when he's not. So, okay, let's just start going and see how many people end up dead here because the weatherman has
[06:08] shown up. And I bloody love the weatherman cuz the weatherman's thing is yes, they will identify three doors. One will be innocent, one will be a meddler, and one will be an underling or a traitor. The problem being, however,
[06:23] yeah, if the weatherman is in fact a serial killer in disguise, naturally they'll be lying. So, let's follow up on this lead and see if it seems legit. Open door number four. That's a private eye who at the 10th hour is going to
[06:39] tell me the address of an uninvestigated villain if possible. It's not bloody useful, my friend, because that's 1 hour after someone's because that's 1 hour after someone's cookie dead. So, Oh,
[06:59] the weatherman is telling the truth, then yes, one out of the private eye and then yes, one out of the private eye and the vigilante are in fact going to be lying because yeah, the surgeons, the meddler
[07:13] know, someone else. Well, actually, hang on. Double check. The serial killer kills a good person. And yeah, the serial killer can pretend to be a meddler potentially. They don't have to pretend to be a good person. As for the
[07:30] vigilante, yeah, they've got an ability, so they don't tell me anything, but I can choose to activate an ability that uses no time whenever I want to. So, pick a role. If the selected role is evil, I kill them. Otherwise, nothing
[07:45] happens. It's possible this private eye is evil and the vigilante is actually is evil and the vigilante is actually good. or the vigilante might be secretly evil because if we go into yes the vigilantes full cart here if vigilante
[08:01] is in fact a villain in disguise they will always miss their targets. So yeah what I'm going to do is I'm going to tell the vigilante to shoot at going to tell the vigilante to shoot at the private eye.
[08:18] so, so, so you actually shot and killed the private eye. If a person is evil, you kill them. If you are lying or tainted, you would miss. Meaning,
[08:30] because the private eye is dead, that means the private eye was indeed a villain. Can actually arrest the private eye. Apparently, I can't because you know the private eye is dead. So, either the conman or the serial killer is dead
[08:44] now. I think the problem is I don't know which. So, someone may be about to die here. It's the serial killer. Otherwise, the serial killer will have just killed. So,
[08:57] now I've just got to track down the con man. So, okay. The surgeon lives in this town. I've not heard of the empath. So, yeah, there shouldn't be an empath here, but there should be a surgeon. And there is a surgeon. So, so far you seem to be
[09:13] telling the truth. And yes. Does the conman always lie? No. The con man doesn't lie. So, I can't catch him out in a lie. I've
[09:27] just got to use other information to track you down. That's what makes you But bare minimum, the time pressure is now
[09:41] cooking surgeon. But that isn't a crime because surgeons sometimes kill people. That doesn't mean the serial killer is still out there. Okay. And there was still, you know, out there killing people. But like that's not really my
[09:55] fault. That's not a crime. That's just medical incompetence. There is however a second weatherman here. weatherman who says, "Yeah, the forecast weatherman who says, "Yeah, the forecast is 1, five, and seven."
[10:12] Now, that's interesting because seven were pretty confident is in fact, seven were pretty confident is in fact, you know, the surgeon, but five, I'm almost certain was before the surgeon killed them, a legit
[10:27] innocent person. Which would mean if you were telling the Which would mean if you were telling the truth, one would have to be the villain. But I don't believe one is the villain. Oh,
[10:42] one could be the con man because the con man is also telling the truth. Four, five, and seven was correct. Okay. You actually Yes. basically told us where the serial killer was.
[11:04] there's a doppelganger. Hang on. The doppelganger can Okay, the doppelganger can tell us whether someone is lying or not. I believe yeah, something doesn't make sense if the person is lying. So, I'm
[11:20] darn it. It can only be neighboring people, I think. That's a shame. Oh, no. people, I think. That's a shame. Oh, no. It's only a role with an ability, right? retroactively tell me what was going on with the vigilante. But,
[11:36] with the vigilante. But, okay, the vigilante was legit and now you're a vigilante, meaning I've now got a second ability to shoot someone. So, okay, I'm going to be honest. On this occasion, I've not really so much solve
[11:50] the crime as got a pair of vigilantes to murder the people who did it. I'm not 100% sure I'm really the good guy either, but you know what? The villains are defeated. I'm going to call this a huge win. And yes, once you're
[12:05] done, you can reveal what was actually going on. So yeah, we did get the The vigilante was killed in an unfortunate and unrelated medical accident. Like I appreciate when someone
[12:18] happened here. like there were seven people living on the street and three of people living on the street and three of them are now dead. But technically my hands are clean. I didn't kill anybody. So we now move on to another case.
[12:32] Obviously they get harder and more complicated as you go. But between cases complicated as you go. But between cases you can also pick a perk. So okay, for example, we can say someone who's a little bit annoying never shows up or a
[12:46] friendly person always shows up. Or alternatively, yes, if you deal with a traitor, the ultimate mega dangerous people, your reputation goes back up by one because, you know, it's going to go down on occasion when you make mistakes.
[13:00] feels like a good thing cuz that's just going to reduce the level of confusion going on. So, we'll just stamp that on the case. Beautiful. And time to move on
[13:12] because yes, currently what we're doing officially is the Deadly Dangers case. So, as a result of that, eventually, yeah, a hitman is going to start showing up. So, here we go. And next case, several people who we're already
[13:26] familiar with have started showing up. Good. And yeah, we've got one medal, four innocents, two evil people to track down. And once again, a serial killer is back on the loose. So, perfect world. We need to take someone out within the
[13:40] first four knocks. So, that's a mailman confirming. Yeah, the serial killer is in town, but I've not heard of a surgeon. But once again, that could be the con man. Then again, actually, if it is the con man, they're
[13:56] actually telling the truth under all circumstances. So, we can trust some of these people a bit more. Only the serial killer is lying. So, we've also got Hang killer is lying. So, we've also got Hang on. A stalker. You know, so you've got
[14:10] an ability. Pick a surrounding tile and pretend to be that role. So, okay. Very much like the doppelganger, I suppose. However, you also might kill them. And if they're tainted, you'll always kill them. So, right, be a bit careful with
[14:25] the bloody stalker. Keep on keeping on. Let's go for door number four. The mathematician. I like the mathematician. The mathematician is fun because the mathematician announces the sum of all evil role addresses.
[14:41] So assuming the mathematician can be trusted, you're saying, "Yeah, the flipping con man and serial killer's address adds up to seven." address adds up to seven." So okay, that were to rule out door
[14:55] number seven. And it would mean, yeah, if one's in two, the other's in five. So the mathematician's great. If we could trust them, that means if we find one, particularly good for the con man because yeah, the con man can be
[15:10] difficult to track down. So, we just need to find the serial killer. So, speaking of which, yeah, let's make some assumptions here. It could be five and assumptions here. It could be five and two. And
[15:25] one of you is cocking lying. However, well, actually, no. Neither of you are lying because you're saying the same things, but one of you isn't who you say you are. One of you is presumably
[15:39] the conman because the serial killer lies, don't they? Yes, the serial killer pretends to be someone else, but would lie. So, one of you two has to be the lie. So, one of you two has to be the con man. But even so, that means either
[15:52] the serial killer is in three or two. If I could, you know, arrest one of you right now, we could stop the murder at, you know, the 9 hour mark. So,
[16:06] we've got the stalker and 8 hours of pass. So, the serial and 8 hours of pass. So, the serial killer is about to kill. What I could do killer is about to kill. What I could do is send the stalker over to door number
[16:19] two because there's a good chance door number two is the serial killer. I should say, by the way, yes, tainted is something that some villains can do to innocent people, but it's not something
[16:33] the conman or the serial killer do. They just, you know, do killing. just, you know, do killing. So, as a result of that, okay, I'm going to send the stalker to door number two.
[16:51] is presumably what's behind the door. Now, if the skeptic is in fact the serial killer in disguise, they're going to be lying. If the stalker was lying, though, they never kill, which they didn't. So, oh, I really don't have
[17:07] didn't. So, oh, I really don't have enough information here. So, I'm going to open up door number two and see what the skeptic says because it's possible the two skeptics will say different things. So,
[17:28] The mailman is now dead. Wait, what did the mailman say? I don't think that's important. Don't worry about it. Okay, one person's dead and it had to be done by an adjacent square. So either two or three.
[17:44] I believe however that yeah, the mailman was not evil cuz the mailman was just killed. And what the serial killer does is they kill a good person. So I'm going
[17:56] is they kill a good person. So I'm going to say you're lying. You're telling the to say you're lying. You're telling the truth, which means four is good, which would mean five was the con man. And five and two together do add up to
[18:08] seven. So, right, we're going to arrest you. You're the serial killer and you're hopefully you were actually the con man, right? Yes, you were the con man. Good, good, good, good. So, okay, we're down to one person being dead. That's a real
[18:24] step down from three. So, you know, in many ways, we're doing better. Okay. Sooner or later, no one will end up dads. Oh, and this is fun. I can also regain reputation in the event I arrest an uninvestigated evil role, i.e.
[18:40] someone who I've not knocked on the door of, but I figured out it's them anyway. Go on them. Why not? Also, I do enjoy that. Yes, the perks you literally stamp onto the case file, however you want to do that. That's fun. So, okay, we're now
[18:55] getting a familiar with some of these individuals. However, we have another yeah, new meddler potentially, the drunk. So, the drunk is going to pretend drunk. So, the drunk is going to pretend to be good and they're going to lie, but
[19:09] they're not a villain. So, right, liars aren't necessarily the people you should be arresting. Someone's going to lie just because they're drunk and shouldn't be arrested anyway. But yeah, it's going to be a good person
[19:23] who's not trustworthy. We need to figure out who that is. So, okay, let's start cracking open some doors. And we've got a tailor here. Pick two rolls. I announce whether or not they're the same alignment. I.e. blue for good, yellow
[19:39] for medler, red for bad. So, okay. Assuming we can trust you, cuz you might actually be a drunkard in disguise. That's useful. And naturally, yeah, if you are in fact lying, a tainted or drunk or whatever, you're going to get
[19:53] things the wrong way round. So, okay, keep on keeping on. That's a reporter and you're saying evil is one step away. But again, you could be drunk or you could be lying. We don't have anything great to go on yet. But
[20:09] great to go on yet. But now, that is very interesting. A mathematician has calculated the number two which is impossible. You sir are lying because there is no
[20:21] combination of doors that adds up to two cuz you can't have a one and a one. The smallest possible number is three. So okay, okay, you are either the serial killer or
[20:35] you're the drunk cuz the conman would be telling the truth. Right, right, right, right, right, right. However, with the reporter's information as well, that does suggest to me there's a good chance that the
[20:49] mathematician is the serial killer, cuz the serial killer lies. I've got one more door I can open before things go a bit, you know, wrong.
[21:03] things go a bit, you know, wrong. Going to go for sex. That's a second mathematician who's calculated at five.
[21:22] If mathematician at four is the serial killer, that puts the tailor as the conman and the conman hang on. Does the conman do Yeah, the conman sure to act correctly.
[21:40] on the tailor themselves and the mathematician if the mathematician is the drunk the taylor should confirm i.e. the conman should confirm that what's going on here
[21:54] is they don't match because there is only one yellow on the field so they couldn't match. If the taylor says they do match they must both be red. So,
[22:06] do match they must both be red. So, okay, I'm going to say you, Taylor, a mathematician. Roll number one and roll number four are the same alignment. No one's going to die tonight. Nobody
[22:20] dies because I'm pretty sure that you, sir, are the serial killer. And there we go. We've got him. And as a result of that, you, sir, the con man, you just gave yourself away. meaning it turns out I'm a genius at solving
[22:35] turns out I'm a genius at solving crimes. However, now things get a bit crimes. However, now things get a bit more tricky because my jurisdiction just more tricky because my jurisdiction just expanded, meaning from now on it's going
[22:47] to be a much bigger grid with more stuff going on. So, we have now got six innocents, two meddlers, and two villains. And a lot more people that
[22:59] could show up, too. So, Okay, now we've got trouble, which is I don't know which two villains are showing up because it could be the serial killer and the con man, but there's now also the greatest evil of
[23:15] there's now also the greatest evil of all, accountants. So, okay, what's your deal, Mr. Accountant? While you're active, anytime I ask anyone to do an ability, right, it shuffles the numbers along.
[23:30] And also obviously you lie about who you are. So, okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. We've also got right a bounty hunter as you know one of the sort of friendly
[23:42] yellows. So you pick and taint. Oh bloody hell. Right. Bounty hunters are going to start tainting innocents. So some of the blue people who are actually real blue people are going to start lying anyway.
[23:56] Assuming that is the bounty hunters on the field, which it may or may not be cuz two of these three are going to be present and I don't know which toe. present and I don't know which toe. However, you don't lie about who you
[24:09] are. If I find you, I know you're here. And on top of that, if I find you, you'll tell me two addresses. One of those two has been tainted. And then those two has been tainted. And then we've got a wannabe who reveals a random
[24:22] underling roll. So, okay, let's just start cracking open some doors here and see what happens. And unlike Jess, starting at the outskirts and working in we'll know for certain whether or not the serial killer is here. So,
[24:39] the serial killer is here. So, okay, let's go for nice isolated doors. The vigilante lives in town. I've not heard of the partner. So, okay, we may be able to verify whether or not that's true as time goes by. Once again, just
[24:55] true as time goes by. Once again, just go for some nice things here. The romantic. I love a number four. So, the romantic picks an adjacent innocent role and says they're going to be their lover. When investigated, they announce
[25:09] the address. However, if the person is lying or tainted, the lover is one of the villains, and I may or may not be adjacent to them. So, let's crack open number four,
[25:24] who's supposed to be a reporter who claims to be three steps away from a who claims to be three steps away from a villain.
[25:37] start dying. I'm going to use the tailor. No, you tail. Someone may be about to get shot. It's Someone may be about to get shot. It's like a 66% chance.
[25:50] Now, that's interesting. One, the serial killer is not present. But I've just found a conman despite the fact the conman would not admit to being fact the conman would not admit to being a conman. So, you must be the wannabe
[26:04] a conman. So, you must be the wannabe pretending to be the conman. So, right. I'm assuming yes. You're actually just meddling and not the real com mana because what else could you be? You must be
[26:18] bare minimum. Oh, I was about to say there's now no time pressure. The surgeon might be out there causing trouble. So, okay, the surgeon is definitely out there and has just murdered the
[26:31] romantic. So, okay, we not got another 12 hours before the surgeon potentially kills again, but we do have a vigilante. So, I could take a pot shot at someone to see, you
[26:46] know, check whether or not they're evil, assuming I trust the vigilante. We're kind of lacking in useful information. So,
[26:59] Is it possible for the con man, given they're pretending to be in an inplay role, to pretend to be themselves? Is that Oh, bloody hell. Okay, just crack open some more doors. There's the surgeon, who we really need to stop
[27:14] because the surgeon just keeps cooking killing people. The clock maker says, "Yeah, the clock should ring between 17 and 18 hours." That's correct. It and 18 hours." That's correct. It literally just did. Very well timed.
[27:26] And finally this door which is a second surgeon. Amazing. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. You saying? Yeah. The mailman says I mean the vigilante lives in town. I've
[27:42] mean the vigilante lives in town. I've not heard of the partner. Now that is true. There is a vigilante. There's not a partner. There's not a partner. One of the surgeons is definitely
[27:55] Well, actually, you know what? I don't know whether the surgeon is Yeah. the conman or the accountant. There's got to be an accountant present. Meaning, in the event I tell the vigilante to go and shoot someone, he's
[28:12] going to shoot one number higher, right? So, yeah, if I trigger an ability on three, it will actually trigger on four. The vigilante, assuming the vigilante is legit,
[28:24] will yes kill someone in the event that they actually are pointing that direction. I'm going to tell you to attack the con man, which means actually attacking the surgeon, who may or may
[28:38] attacking the surgeon, who may or may not be secretly evil. So, you're now definitely dead, but I don't know whether that was the conman
[28:51] or the accountant. It could have been either. However, what I do know is you were definitely red. So, I could use the tailor to check whether you match up tailor to check whether you match up with Yeah. one of these two conman.
[29:06] So, check you, Tone. They're not the same alignment. So, that con man is definitely not a con man. Could this conman be a conman? Well, actually, hang on.
[29:22] That would match up with what the flipping a reporter is saying. Well, then again, no. The reporter said three steps from the closest evil, and they could have been referring to number two. I'm going to arrest this conman and see
[29:37] if the conman is actually a conman. It turns out the conman was a conman. I think the con man disguised himself as a con man in an attempt to like, you know, double bluff me. And I'm going to be honest, it did work. Yes. So, yeah, just
[29:52] to confirm that was the wannabe at position one. The con man was indeed disguised as a different conman. And the surgeon did kill someone. We need to do something about this surgeon. Oh, this will do though.
[30:07] A blood hound being always in play. Blood hounds are great because they just tell you what direction the nearest evil is located in. And potentially if they start barking, yeah, you know, multiple evils are the same distance away. Now, a
[30:21] blood hound could in theory be like, you know, corrupted in some capacity, but I still think that's worth having. So, yeah, welcome to the board, Mr. Blood Hounds. So far, our reputation is looking very,
[30:36] very good indeed. And right, we've now got a barkeep who generates drunkards. Serial killer's back. Comman is back. And we've also got a chatter box. So when you investigate the chatter box,
[30:51] So when you investigate the chatter box, an extra two bloody hours pass. And if there's at least one evil roll in the same row, an additional hour. So right, 5 hours could be wasted with the bloody chatter box. And we've also got
[31:05] the partner, which is like, you know, a police person who gives you a tip, but they could of course be lying. Well, let's follow up on that. Crack open door let's follow up on that. Crack open door number two. So, oh dear,
[31:24] like the mathematician. The mathematician's great. So, okay. mathematician's great. So, okay. You're either the barkeep or the serial You're either the barkeep or the serial killer or you're drunk.
[31:39] One of the above. So, okay, we'll come back to you later. There's too much chance you could just be drunk right now. Crack open more doors. There's a doppelganger. We like the doppelganger. The doppelganger is
[31:55] great. So yeah, we confirm whether someone's lying and duplicate a useful ability. I'm just worried about hitting the chatter box here. So uh the chatter box here. So uh the blood hound just pointed south.
[32:15] Is there a possibility the blood hound could be mistaken? Because yeah, the blood hound announcers are where the nearest evil role is And if there's more than one the same distance, they start barking. If there's
[32:29] no evil that they can locate, they just sniff around. However, if lying or tainted, could be a problem. Is it possible the serial killer could be disguising themselves as a blood hound? It sounds
[32:44] themselves as a blood hound? It sounds unlikely, but it could be the case. So, and we're going to see what happens.
[32:56] Okay, I've just No, I've not messed up. That may be the priest who says I am the priest. The priest is basically an easy priest. If they say something slightly wrong, like you know they misspelled
[33:11] priest or something, it means something's gone wrong. That's the conman. And I know that's the con man cuz I've not lost reputation for arresting the priest. So, okay, we've got one. Thank you very much, Mr. Blood
[33:24] Hound. Now, either this guy is the serial killer. Well, then again, actually, does the barkeep? Yeah, the barkeep lies as well. The partner could be the barkeep, the
[33:39] serial killer, or drunk. Cuz the barkeep makes somebody drunk, but it could be anybody. And I can't check what the state of the partner is using the has got to be used on someone with an ability. So,
[33:54] serial killer is about to start start murdering. And I think we know who it is. A lot of time just bloody passed. But bare minimum, the surgeon didn't Oh, no. Hang
[34:07] minimum, the surgeon didn't Oh, no. Hang on. Oh, bloody hell. is in fact the serial killer in disguise. But no, because that was the chatter box. 12 hours have passed.
[34:22] The surgeon might have just killed the blood hound in, you know, a big medical error or something. I don't know who just killed the cocky blood hound. If that had been anyone but the chatter box, I would know for certain.
[34:36] Bloody chatterbox. Right, right, right, right. What are we going to do here? We need more information. So, that's the tailor. Okay, this is good because yeah, the tailor
[34:51] lets me check here if two people are the same alignment. same alignment. You are either red or you're yellow. And I good reason to believe that the chatter box is Yeah, legit. Well, then
[35:07] chatter box is Yeah, legit. Well, then again, oh, do I know that? I'm going to use the tailor on the chatter box and the partner to check
[35:20] chatter box and the partner to check whether you're drunk and thus yellow. Well, then actually Oh, hang on. Hang on. Does the drunk count as a yellow by the lookie of it? Yes. So, right. Chatterbox and partner.
[35:37] They're the same alignment. That makes you drunk you drunk and not the serial killer. So, it was the Wait, hang on. Hang on, hang on, hang on.
[35:52] Yes. If you're drunk, that means the other red is the barkeep. And it was the other red is the barkeep. And it was the surgeon that killed the dog. Yes. Okay. Now, we just need to find the barkeep who is going to be pretending to be
[36:05] who is going to be pretending to be innocent and will be lying. innocent and will be lying. So, you've just said, "Yeah, hang on. So you can't be the barkeeper even though you're lying. I need to find
[36:18] someone else who's lying before the surgeon kills again. That's the priest who says I'm the priest. So you're telling the truth. Number three is
[36:30] one of you two is actually the barkeep in disguise. How do I figure out which one it is? How would I do that? Okay, hang on. Well, there's the vigilante. So, right,
[36:45] vigilante, take a shot of this surgeon. And there we go. That surgeon must have been the barkeep. Good, good, good, good. A lot of the suspects I'm supposed to be arresting are ending up dead. I will freely admit. And as I suspected,
[37:01] the partner was, yeah, drunk. That's why you were wrong. But we did a good job tracking down the con man. I thank you very much, Mr. Blood Hounds. Agel, put a clock maker onto the board, too. I like the clock maker because, you know, it's
[37:14] very easy to verify whether they're telling the truth or not. Does the clock ring when they say it shorts? So, okay, once again, things are getting nastier. We're now up to four flipping meddlers on the field. So, a lot of stuff is
[37:28] going to be causing trouble. Of particular note, I do like the full guy where everyone else thinks they're the villain even though they're not. Oh, and we've got a poisoner, too. Old poisoners are dangerous. So yes, poisoners taint a
[37:44] yes, an innocent that's adjacent to them. And a tainted innocent just starts them. And a tainted innocent just starts lying. So right, we've got four yellows who are going to start messing things up. And one of the blues is potentially
[37:58] also tainted by the poisoner. And there's also, you know, maybe a serial killer on the loose as well. So, I mean, bare minimum, the serial killer
[38:10] can only kill an adjacent good person. Meaning, it's entirely possible the there's not that many of them on the bloody fields. Okay, let's just crack
[38:22] open some doors. There's a vigilante, assuming it is a vigilante. It might not disguise, or potentially it's someone who's been tainted. I simply don't know. Crack open some more doors. There's a blood hound pointing north,
[38:40] but it's not impossible that yeah, the blood hound could be in some way corrupted. Like if there was a poisoner here, then again, if there was a poisoner here, the blood hound wouldn't be pointing north. So,
[38:56] actually, do I know for certain the blood hound is telling the truth here? Because yeah, the only way the blood hound Well, the blood hound could be Yeah. like anybody. I think anyone could disguise themselves as a dog.
[39:10] entirely feasible. Do I trust this dog? wrong, but this is also potentially a good opportunity to arrest someone right
[39:23] I'm going to arrest door number three and the full guy, John. the full guy who everyone else treats as the full guy who everyone else treats as if they were actually yeah the villain
[39:37] and it fooled the blood hound too. So the blood hound wasn't corrupted but it the blood hound wasn't corrupted but it was misled by the cocking full guy. So okay I've just lost some reputation. For the first time I've made a bad call
[39:50] there and five hours have passed. Potentially the serial killer is about to start shooting. The poisoner lives in town, but I've never heard of the con man. That's not great cuz if that's true, that means
[40:03] yeah, the people we're dealing with are the poisoner and the serial killer, and the poisoner and the serial killer, and they're both more dangerous. So, okay. I think the serial killer is about to
[40:16] start shooting. And the serial killer has just started shooting. However, I'm pretty confident that that vigilante, you must be the serial killer
[40:28] cuz you just killed the person at number four. And yeah, you're the only person adjacent to them. Cuz you've got to kill an adjacent good role. This also means we know for certain number four is good. If that might be useful down the line.
[40:44] So, in the event the vigilante is Yeah. actually lying. They'll always miss under all circumstances. So, this ability is useless. I'm going to arrest jokes, I think. There we go. We've got
[40:56] the serial killer. So, the serial killer can't kill again, which is good because they're literally like, you know, taking clues off the board. So, we've got the serial killer. Now, we need to find the poisoner.
[41:10] And the poison is going to be lying and is going to cause an innocent person next to them to lie. Assuming there is one in theory, could the blood hound be the poisoner
[41:24] who like did poison the full guy because they couldn't because the full guy isn't they couldn't because the full guy isn't innocent? It's theoretically possible. But then again, actually, does the poisoner lie? The poisoner would lie,
[41:36] but then again, the full guy was here. So, So, okay, crack open some doors at this point. Yeah, the time pressure is off because the poisoned person isn't
[41:50] getting any more poisoned. So, never mind. The surgeon is here. Also, that clock maker is telling the truth. Meanwhile, yeah, you kill people every
[42:03] what is it? 12 hours potentially. Actually, you didn't kill anyone on this occasion. Well done. So, okay. probably telling the truth. You're probably telling the truth.
[42:19] Crack open the remaining doors. The bounty hunter who has tainted either sex bounty hunter who has tainted either sex or eight. If a stalker is corrupted, or eight. If a stalker is corrupted, what does that mean? When I'm lying or
[42:34] tainted, I never kill. So, it's very hard to verify whether that's true or not. The mailman, however, the mailman could be lying. When I'm lying or tainted to both parts of my announcement will be
[42:49] both parts of my announcement will be false. the bounty hunter might have interfered with the mailman, in which case the
[43:01] conman is present, and someone who's telling the truth is the conman.
[43:13] Crack open the last door and the serial killer lives in town, but I've never heard of the priest. Now, the serial killer is true, and I live in town because the priest might have been number four. And once they're
[43:29] have been number four. And once they're dead, she can't go inside. Okay, all four yellows are accounted for.
[43:42] all four yellows are accounted for. And hang on, hang on. The poisoner pretends to be an innocent. No, the poisoner can pretend to be anybody. The conman also could pretend to be anybody. So, it could be one of the
[43:57] yellows. Is it possible the fact the surgeon isn't killing anybody is actually indicating what's going on here? Like, then again, the surgeon doesn't always kill people. So, oh, bloody hell. How am I supposed to figure
[44:11] bloody hell. How am I supposed to figure this out? So, if the bounty hunter was secretly somebody Yeah. then Yeah. They won't taint any role and then announce the addresses of two noninnocent roles, which you didn't on this
[44:27] occasion. So, I think the bounty hunter is legit because I think the mailman is legit. Though, speaking of which, if a stalker were to be legit, if I send them at someone who I believe to be tainted, they will kill the person if tainted.
[44:45] But they might kill the person if not tainted, unless they themselves are tainted, in which case they will never kill. So, okay, you just killed the mailman, which may be because the mailman had been
[45:00] corrupted by the bounty hunter. And now you yourself have become a mailman. And you say the bounty hunter does live in town. I've never heard of the romantic. That seems to be true. Question is, are we looking at a con man
[45:15] or a poisoner here? I feel like Yeah, we may have lost a critical piece of evidence with the death of number four. Except, hang on, John. There's Wait, wait, wait. There's multiple mailmen. John, you know that. Okay, hang on. This
[45:29] mailman isn't a mailman. It's the stalker pretending to be a mailman. stalker pretending to be a mailman. You died cuz I think you were legit.
[45:41] you as the only remaining original mailman are the con man and there wasn't Okay, I'm going to arrest you. Holy flip me. I
[45:53] was correct. Okay, good, good, good, good. So, the serial killer got the tailor. The stalker killed one of the mailmen and we arrested the other one. Once again, quite a few corpses, but here we go.
[46:07] We're now going into the final mission, meaning there's going to be a very meaning there's going to be a very dangerous perpetrator in play, and I get to choose who it is. The critic causes
[46:20] your reputation to plummet very bloody fast. The idol character lies and also taints everybody around them. And the judge after the 10th hour starts judge after the 10th hour starts demanding I arrest people. Yeah. Every
[46:35] time I crack open a door. I feel like you, Mr. Idol. You're the least dangerous. So, okay. Just keep in mind you're lying
[46:48] and you're pretending to be a suspected not in play role. So yeah, you're going to be somebody who is like not on the field. You're not going to create a duplicate, but here we go into the final case.
[47:07] There's a lot of stuff going on here. So, right, three bad people and one mega traitor. And it's not necessarily him. The hitman might shut too. The hitman
[47:20] kills one person. Yeah. Who I've not knocked on the door of every cooking four hours, which is going to wipe out a lot of clothes. So,
[47:33] okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Everything's fine. The empath. So, yeah, we can verify whether someone is completely evil or completely good. So, a tainted
[47:45] good person would cause them to become confused. If we can even trust you're confused. If we can even trust you're real and the hitman unlike the serial killer it's not yeah people adjacent to you it could be anybody and
[48:06] bare minimum we're not dealing with the hitman but the serial killer is still present so yeah at hour nine people start dying also the surgeon's here so you know they can start killing people as well. You
[48:20] see, you're four steps away from somebody, but once again, you could be incorrect. If the idol characters around here, you've been corrupted. Let's know what? You being a four steps away from the
[48:34] You being a four steps away from the nearest evil feels wrong because that would mean the others would have to be even further away. three red and one purple were all squished down into the bottom corner.
[48:48] That feels wrong to me. I'm going to investigate you a bit further. So, the investigate you a bit further. So, the romantic says my lover ran away, which might happen if the cocky Kasanova is on the field. So,
[49:04] right, the Kasanova surrounds the romantic's lover, unless the romantic is lying or tainted. You charm the romantic's lover and run away with them, and you pretend to be in a suspected role. Hang on. Over to the romantic
[49:18] here. There's a lot of stuff going on all of a sudden. So, okay, the romantic, they'll declare a lover. If they're innocent, if they're lying or tainted, they'll still declare their lover as adjacent, but they may be lying about
[49:31] that. But if the castover is in play and I am not lying or tainted, I will say my lover ran away. This means the romantic must be Yeah.
[49:44] not lying or tainted because that's the only way they produce the line my lover ran away with someone else otherwise yeah they just you know lie about being adjacent to their lover or say I love myself so this is good we know for
[50:00] certain the romantic is yeah telling the truth not corrupted not lying and also that the casta is somewhere on the fields this makes me suspicious that for
[50:12] this person potentially corrupting the reporter or the reporter is just lying. You're saying number two is good. You're saying number two is good. The empath.
[50:27] Okay. Okay. Okay. The empath we could use to verify if Yeah. Hang on. If number four is a good person who's been corrupted, I can
[50:41] use the empath to verify that. So, let's do Hang on. We can do that, So, let's do Hang on. We can do that, right? Number
[50:54] field, so I just cocky got the wrong person. Okay, though. Speaking of which, the serial killer is not killing anybody. Okay, the serial killer is also not present. Now, if you're the real romantic, you must be a fake romantic.
[51:12] Under what circumstances would you be fake? Cuz I don't think any of these people all the wannabe pretends to be an underling,
[51:24] not anything else. I'm going to arrest you and we got the I'm going to arrest you and we got the casta. Good, good, good, good. So that's one down.
[51:37] I'm still concerned about you and it is sad that we weren't able to verify whether or not you are actually, you know, corrupted because I'm suspicious of you potentially being the idol. Let's go for nine,
[51:53] go for nine, who could also have been corrupted. You're pointing west, which feels legit. And actually, you know what? In theory, you could have been telling
[52:07] In theory, you could have been telling the truth. So, let's just the truth. So, let's just There's a con man. Except it could be the wannabe. So, let's not worry about you for now.
[52:20] Keep cracking open doors because I mean, honestly, for the number of assassins and whatnot that were supposed to be here potentially, the death count so far is surprisingly low. That's just the chatter box. There's the clock maker.
[52:34] chatter box. There's the clock maker. 92. You're lying. It didn't go off at 19 to 20. It just went off at like 17 to 18. Why would you be lying? I'm going to arrest you. And
[52:58] okay, okay. Okay. Need to be very careful here. Very careful. con man could be a con man just pretending to be a con man to try and, you know, psych me out. That's entirely
[53:12] possible. Speaking of which, there's another cocky Speaking of which, there's another cocky con man. Amazing. So, okay, let's just crack open the other doors. Oh, there's the surgeon who amazingly has not killed
[53:24] anyone yet. And there's the stalker. And a second stalker. We've got the Kasanova. It's one of the two stalkers and one of the two conmen.
[53:42] And okay, the conman must be a conman. And then there must be an accountant on the field. One of the two stalkers is actually an accountant. The problem being
[53:55] The problem being I don't know which stalker is real. But I could use stalkers to deal with tainted people. But there aren't really any tainted people on the field. Or rather there shouldn't be. Okay.
[54:09] rather there shouldn't be. Okay. If we believe the blood hound is telling the truth. The chatter box will be Oh, hang on. The John. Well, there's the traitor to find as well.
[54:25] There is the traitor to find. I'm still suspicious of the skeptic at I'm still suspicious of the skeptic at sex. You could be the idol, which potentially could be. Well, then again, hang on. Does the blood hound
[54:38] also track down the purple? No. The blood hound. Well, hang on. The blood hound tracks down evil. Yes, purple does count as evil. I think the blood hound has been corrupted by the skeptic.
[54:54] I think this is the idol. One of you two is the remaining evil person and one of is the remaining evil person and one of you two is a con man. The question is how do I bloody verify this? Because well then again actually
[55:09] this? Because well then again actually you were lying. If you were lying and the surgeon has never killed anybody, the chatterbox could be the idol.
[55:22] could be the idol. That's possible right there. So, does that stack up with everything? Because
[55:35] fact telling the truth and has been the whole time, you're the idol. We've got him. We flippy got him. Which We've got him. We flippy got him. Which means yes, you must be the flipping
[55:49] accountant, which means therefore Uh-oh. Hang on. I want two. No, it must be you because otherwise you'd be the closest red. So, in which case it turns out I'm a genius at crime.
[56:03] Still, I would say as the newspapers hail me as a grand hero of crime fighting. How about we wrap things up there? This here is Jupyer. And okay,
[56:15] it's not particularly big or complicated or anything, but it is a fun little puzzle game. I've had a lovely time with this here today. Yeah. And yes, what you just saw there was a case that was very much weighted towards, you know, murder
[56:27] happening an awful awful lot. But there are all sorts of other things you could do as well. For example, you could go for a case that involves a lot of misdirection where everybody is safe and the clues never get murdered, so time
[56:39] isn't really a pressure. But yes, there's way more chance of people lying there's way more chance of people lying to or whatnot. Overall, just yes, a fun little game with plenty to get your teeth into. So, okay. do enjoy the
[56:51] occasial detective game. Keep your eyes open because maybe, just maybe, yes, this could inspire me to dig into a couple more over the coming weeks and months. So, uh hopefully you're looking forward to that. But in the meantime,
[57:05] true nerds, and this has been the fascinating Jupiter. Thank you very fascinating Jupiter. Thank you very much, and goodbye. girlfriend or a daughter. Hopefully a girlfriend. friend.
[57:19] >> Really? Hopefully a girlfriend. No, stop walking around. Just Just stay still. Just Just stay >> STOP DOING LAUNDRY. THERE WE GO.
