[00:15] rifts can form within the powers of Sayada and create rogue factions that strike out on their own. Hi everyone, I'm Jeff, Narrative Director of the Endless Universe. Today, we want to dive deeper into a new type of content coming to the game, the Rogue Factions.
[00:35] These will be dropping for free with the 1.0 release. These playable Rogue Factions offer a different experience built around the same core affinity. A new set of traits favors a different strategic approach,
[00:50] such as turning a defensive faction into a conquering expansionist, and expands your options for custom faction creation. Battles will also feel different for rogue factions.
[01:04] They may draw on the same set of units as their parent faction, but a new battle affinity changes how you best use them in combat, supported by heroes with new abilities.
[01:16] Of course, their units and cities boast a new look as well, in line with their new leader, and you can learn more about them through their own faction quest. Let's take a look at the two rogue factions available with the 1.0 release.
[01:33] The Order of Zelaves are a splinter faction of the Kin of Sheridan who remain loyal to the Emperor and want to conquer Syada to integrate it into the United Empire.
[01:45] Where the Kin want to protect their new home unlocking holy commandments through fortification and reaping economic benefits from keeps the order wants to expand gaining power through territorial gains and clustering their districts around city centers
[02:03] This aggression is also reflected in battles. The kin form tight defensive formations, empowering their shields. but the order throw themselves into the fray, getting tougher for every enemy they face.
[02:16] They even prioritize cavalry to hit fast and hard. The severed claws are a swarm of necrophage that were cut off from the hive and the matriarch.
[02:29] Unable to replenish their numbers, they augment their bodies with metal grafts and exploit the minor factions of Sayadaw for labor and military might. Like the necrophage, they form a single, vast hive city with far-flung burrows and nests.
[02:45] Unlike the necrophage, their city is not populated solely by necrophages as they force minor factions to work for them and grow their hive around their villages. Nor do they rely on larvae spawned after battles,
[02:59] instead pressing the defenders of any village they destroy into their service. They don't swarm their enemies to overwhelm them like the Necrophage either, but when they slay one of their enemies, they may get to attack again.
[03:13] With these rogue factions, we want to bring more gameplay and story variety to Endless Legend 2. The Order of Zelovast and Severed Claws are available for free with the 1.0 release.
