[00:00] What's up everybody, Damon here and in today's gaming news, Nintendo held a big Zelda Direct. I've got all the details. New Zealanders will be the first to play Grand Theft Auto 6 and Capcom plans to revive more long dormant franchises.

[00:12] This is your Daily Fix. So that Zelda Direct. For starters, Nintendo announced a November 5th

[00:26] release date for the Ocarina of Time remake, less than two months away. A new The new trailer revealed fully voiced characters during cutscenes, including Ganon. It doesn't sound like Link talks though. Meanwhile, Nintendo confirmed that the first print run of the physical version will commemorate

[00:39] the release with special packaging that features textured foil cover art available while supplies last. It will also be the full game on the cartridge, not a key card. Nintendo confirmed the Nintendo Switch 2, The Legend of Zelda 40th Anniversary Edition

[00:51] console and the specially designed Pro Controller and Carry Case, which launch on October 29th. Nintendo is also releasing two actual Ocarinas later this year, a playable version and an electronic version from Hori that plays notes or entire songs at the press of a button.

[01:05] Nintendo will release Young Link and Young Zelda Amiibo, which unlock special in-game masks that evoke a retro style These will be out next year Several new features will be added to Zelda Notes the accompanying app Currently the service supports the Nintendo Switch 2 editions of Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom but support for Ocarina of Time will help players track their adventure

[01:25] It will assist in finding in-game locations using hint images, let them play a virtual ocarina and offer a daily quiz with over 2,000 total questions. Nintendo confirmed the LEGO Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time Link and Epona set, a 1,750-piece

[01:39] collectible display model for adults available in spring 2027. Also on the way is the Hasbro Legend of Zelda electronic Master Sword, 27 inches long with more than 15 touch and motion activated sounds arriving around the same time.

[01:52] Koji Kondo appeared during the direct to talk about the music of The Legend of Zelda. Concerts to mark the 40th anniversary are on the way, starting in Japan in January before heading west later in the year. And the title of The Legend of Zelda movie was confirmed.

[02:04] It's The Legend of Zelda. Miyamoto said, This original film is based on the stories, ideas and concepts of The Legend of Zelda that have built up through 40 years of games. No trailer unfortunately, but we did get a logo.

[02:17] It looks exactly what you would imagine it would look like. Moving on, Rockstar will launch Grand Theft Auto 6 at midnight local time in most countries on November 19th, meaning some fans are already planning to adjust their console region and play early Rather than offering a fixed time worldwide the midnight local rollout means players in New Zealand will get a roughly 20 hour head start on Mexico and elsewhere in Central America

[02:39] Of course, there are no GTA discs to get started with early. While preloading will be available, the game itself will not unlock until your time zone's allotted window. Timestamps spotted on the PlayStation Store by GTA Vice show 15 major release times for GTA 6 across the

[02:53] world's various time zones beginning in New Zealand at midnight. If you're playing on If you're on Xbox Series X or S and want to adjust your console setting, this will be your earliest opportunity to play. If you have a PlayStation 5, well this trick doesn't work, though you could technically

[03:05] play early with a separate New Zealand account funded via a New Zealand gift card. I guess this is one way that GTA 6 actually plays better on Xbox. After New Zealand, the game's rollout then continues through time zones in Australia, Japan, India, through mainland Europe to the UK, then to the US, though at least here,

[03:21] all the country will get to play at midnight Eastern. So if you're on the west coast, you'll get a few extra hours to play before bedtime, if you actually plan on going to sleep that night. As a reminder, GTA 6 launches on November 19th. If you've pre-ordered the game, you'll be able to start pre-loading on November 12th,

[03:35] which is also when boxed copies containing a digital download code will ship. Rockstar has yet to say how much free space you'll need to get the game installed, but keep an eye on IGN for all the details you need And finally today Capcom looks like it has yet another hit on its hands with Onimusha Way of the Sword selling over 1 million copies on launch day The milestone pushed total Onimusha franchise sales over the 10 million sold mark 20 years after the last new game in the series

[04:00] But of most interest here is Capcom's comment about repeating the Onimusha trick with other games from its back catalog. It said, In addition to regularly releasing major new titles each year, Capcom is focusing on reactivating IPs that haven't had a new title launch recently.

[04:14] The company is working to further maximize corporate value by leveraging its rich library of content including this title. So, which series deserved the Onimusha treatment? I imagine there will be Dino Crisis fans screaming from the rafters here.

[04:26] We haven't had a new Devil May Cry game in a while. Ace Attorney is another popular pick as our Beautiful Joe, Breath of Fire, and Lost Planet. Capcom has published a long list of games over the years and we already have Mega Man returning next year.

[04:38] Capcom has released hit after hit in recent years, from Monster Hunter to Resident Evil, Street Fighter to Dragon's Dogma. What's next? Monster Hunter Wild's Ascendance is due out next year, as is Resident Evil Veronica and Mega Man Dual Override.

[04:51] Further away is Okami 2. And that is your Daily Fix for Tuesday, September 8th. Now that you're caught up on the news, watch over 15 minutes of Ocarina of Time Remake gameplay. I'm Damon Hatfield, and for all your video game news, stay tuned to IGN.
