AI Summary

In this episode of 'Fallout 3: The Worst Wanderer,' the player character, John, enters 'The Pitt' DLC, a gritty industrial city ruled by slavers. The video focuses on navigating the treacherous bridge, acquiring a disguise, and collecting steel ingots in the steel yard to earn rewards and progress the story. The player showcases combat strategies, resource management, and the unique challenges of the DLC's environment.

[00:17]
Character Setup and Inventory Management

After completing Point Lookout, the character has multiple viable damage approaches (automatic melee, big guns) but lacks good armor and synced weapons. The player decides to head to The Pitt to fix these issues, noting the need to strip inventory because The Pitt strips you of everything upon entry.

[01:47]
Preparing for The Pitt

The player sells Lookout's (400 caps), stores items in Megaton house, and heads out with only one weapon and one armor piece. They also pay 'church taxes' to avoid bounty hunters and bring a teddy bear for a child, humorously noting it's not the original.

[03:12]
Travel to Fort Constantine

The player teleports to Fort Constantine, dealing with regenerated robots. They navigate the hilly terrain, using cliffs for cover and engaging enemies with a ripper. The journey is complicated by the game's difficult rock-climbing mechanics.

[06:02]
Meeting Werner and the Plan

Werner, a slave, approaches the player, asking for help to steal something from The Pitt to free his people. The player agrees, motivated by the promise of amazing loot. Werner suggests getting a slave disguise from slavers near the tunnel.

[08:16]
Dealing with the Slaver Camp

At the slaver camp, the player decides to kill the slavers and release the slaves, despite the option to buy them (200 caps each, requiring a speech check). They use stealth and automatic melee to eliminate targets while they sleep.

[10:40]
Entering The Pitt via Handcart

The player takes a handcart through the tunnel to Pittsburgh, joking about the long journey. They encounter an ambush, using cover and letting Werner take most of the fire. They successfully cross the bridge, avoiding mines and snipers.

[18:49]
Disguise and Entry into The Pitt

The player dons slave rags and approaches the gate, where a slaver confiscates all their equipment (recon armor, ripper, medicine). They enter The Pitt proper, meeting Midea, Werner's contact, who provides a plan and points them to Marco for a weapon.

[24:41]
Receiving the Auto Axe

Marco gives the player an auto axe, an automatic melee weapon stronger than the ripper, though in poor condition. The player then heads to the steel yard to collect steel ingots, the main quest of the DLC.

[26:06]
Steel Yard Exploration and Combat

The steel yard is a large, vertical environment. The player collects ingots, fights trogs (fast, melee-only enemies), and uses corner-guarding tactics. They note that ingots are quest items (weightless) until the first 10 are turned in, after which they weigh something.

[31:06]
Auto Axe Perk and Rewards

Upon collecting 10 ingots, the player gains the 'Auto Axe Expert' perk, making the auto axe 25% more powerful. They continue gathering ingots for better rewards, including armor with higher damage resistance.

[36:54]
Weapon Breakage and Adaptation

The auto axe breaks, forcing the player to switch to a flamer and grenades. They find the 'Man Opener' (an auto axe that ignores armor) and flamer fuel, improving their combat capabilities. They also find a usable bed for healing.

[41:28]
Conclusion and Teaser

The player ends the episode, noting the steel yard will get more dangerous deeper in. They plan to continue collecting ingots and using the Man Opener, but acknowledge the weapon's condition will degrade quickly.

The episode successfully navigates the initial challenges of The Pitt, from acquiring a disguise to collecting ingots and securing powerful weapons. The player's strategic use of cover, corner-guarding, and resource management highlights the DLC's unique gameplay loop, setting up for deeper exploration and tougher enemies in future episodes.

[00:02] This is many a true nerd and welcome back to Fallout 3: The Worst Wanderer. Well, it's time we return to the Capital Wasteland. Though, to be honest, we're not actually going to be staying for long because, you see, thanks to

[00:17] completing Point Lookout, my character's in a bit of an odd situation right now. All of a sudden, I've got several viable ways of doing a lot of damage. For example, automatic melee weapons are now absolutely ridiculous, as indeed various

[00:34] big guns, thanks to their really faster fire rate. What I'm missing, however, is good weapons that sync up with those approaches, and most of all, good armor. And I think I know precisely where we need to go to fix both of those

[00:49] problems. Curiously, and by sheer coincidence, I did not really plan this at all when I started this run. There's one place I could go at this point that would be very good for making my character stronger with big guns,

[01:02] explosives, and automatic melee weapons, and that of course is the pets. And highly conveniently, yeah, though the entrance to the PT is way out of the way at the very north of the map, we've

[01:15] already been to a nearby military installation. So yeah, we could get there pretty bloody easily. Before we do, however, we do just need to, yes, do a small bit of inventory management because the pit does not work like point

[01:31] lookout. When you go into the pit, one, you're stripped of everything, and two, you're not coming out until you're done. Meaning, yes, we need to uh, you know, strip down the old inventory a little bit here. Before I forget though, while

[01:47] I'm literally in this bit of the world and whatnot, I know for a fact I picked Lookouts. >> And as it turns out, it was four of them. 400 caps. I will not say no to that. Beyond that, a bank to Megaton

[02:02] where yes, we're going to be dumping a whole bunch of stuff in our house here. In fact, yes, I'm literally heading out into the wasteland today with one weapon and one bit of armor. That is going to be it. Also, I'm going to be honest. I

[02:17] can't actually remember how strict the take everything off you rules are at the beginning of the pet. Like, do they also take all your medicine and drugs? I don't know. I guess we'll find out today. And yes, one other very important

[02:31] thing indeed. I'm really glad I remembered this. Don't worry, small child. I brought you back. Well, okay. It's not your teddy bear. It's just like a teddy bear. Your teddy bear is currently dissolving in a swamp

[02:44] somewhere. But, you know, it's still a teddy bear that's basically identical. So, functionally, I've not done anything wrong here. And speaking of not doing anything wrong, right, just need to pay my church taxes so I don't get attacked

[02:59] by bounty hunters on my way to the pets. Right. All that done, a ripper in a hand. Let's get on to the pit because yes, when I said we weren't staying long in the Capital Wasteland, I wasn't kidding. We are straight into the next

[03:12] bit of DLC today. So, okay, we'll start at Fort Constantine where probably the robots have regenerated, but hopefully they'll just be basic but hopefully they'll just be basic protectrons. We should be fine.

[03:28] protectrons. We should be fine. All right, teleport in. And also Okay, hang on. Where am I? I think I'm I'm pretty deep inside this port

[03:40] actually. So, okay. No, no, no, no trouble, guys. No trouble. Okay, they definitely know I'm here. That's true. Yeah, rather annoyingly, I do want to go

[03:53] Yeah, rather annoyingly, I do want to go in this direction, just away from them. So, yeah, the issue with this bit of the world is it can be a bit difficult to navigate. It gets very hilly with all sorts of big bloody cliffs everywhere.

[04:07] So yeah, just use those cliffs to my advantage as far as I can. Just jam. Stay out of the way. Let enemies come to me. John, there's two more enemies heading in this direction, too. So, right, just get over to you. Jump, stop,

[04:21] right, just get over to you. Jump, stop, hit you, explode, you move on, cuz you just got to find a way to get up these bloody cliffs, which can be Hang on. There's another right. There's another one right there.

[04:34] No trouble, buddy. No cooking, please. Just hold still within cooking help. Hold still within a range of me. Thank you. Just need to Yeah. Get up top.

[04:48] Hopefully, we'll be fine. But yes, rock climbing in Fallout 3 could be a bit, climbing in Fallout 3 could be a bit, you know, difficult to do, especially when cocking robots are attempting to shoot you at the same time. damage you

[05:01] may or may not be rubbing up against. Never mind. That was not an invisible Never mind. That was not an invisible wall. Spot on. So, right, I think we're almost there. If I can just get up one more little layer of rocks. Come on,

[05:17] buddy. A jam. Now, it should just be an easy stroll. There we go. With that radio tower, that's my destination. Just jam. Eyes open for bears, super mutants, anything else. We are very far north right now, meaning things can be nasty

[05:34] potentially. And speaking of which, you're right, there is, you know, a bit of a starting a fight to introduce the pit raiders when we get there. As you can see, pit raiders are definitely a bit tougher than regular raiders.

[05:48] Nowhere near as bad as say tribals or swamp people, but yeah, still a bit on swamp people, but yeah, still a bit on the nasty side. So, keep on keeping on. Let's just see what we could do. They are now attacking. They are hostile

[06:02] immediately. But they're not going for me just yet. So, right, go to you. Hold still. And then just please don't walk away from me while I'm tearing you to pieces with Okay. A wellplaced ripper will do the job. So, honestly, Werna

[06:15] himself. >> Thank you for your help with those guys. They finally tracked me down. I thought I'd have more time. You've come about the broadcast, right? Risky, I know, but it had to be done.

[06:28] So, you know who I am. Who are you? >> So, my name's Usa Steve, and I'd like to go to Pittsburgh with you because I'm going to be honest, the loot there is going to be honest, the loot there is cocking amazing. Yes, let's talk about a

[06:41] reward, my good man. >> Well, look at you moneybags. Right down to business. Got to respect that. But before you get anything, what I need you to do is to take a trip with me to a place called the Pit. It's a city to the

[06:55] want you to come with me and help me steal something that will free my >> And yes, indeed. Disease, monsters, political upheaval, all that good stuff. Honestly, we're going to be uh skipping most of that. I'm just here to get as

[07:09] much stuff as I can. And as I say, there's some really good stuff to be had. So, uh, let's skip to what you need me to do, my friends. >> Well, you might try a disguise. He probably won't let some random armed

[07:21] like one of the working stiffs, you should be able to slip in with no slavers is nearby waiting to make a sale. You should be able to get one off of them. They're off to the west near the tunnel that leads to the pit. That

[07:35] should be our first move. >> So, there we go. Step one, grab a disguise. Oh, and hilariously, yes, the tunneling camp we're going towards is once again nearby for Constantine. You should have just killed those two

[07:49] sense given you were literally coming back here. Ah, but then again, on this occasion, one, it's night and two, they've gone over there to chase me. So,

[08:01] them spotting me on this occasion. Still, ignoring those bastards. We Still, ignoring those bastards. We should be coming up momentarily. Oh, yeah. The slaver camp. There is the camp. There's the tunnel. So yeah,

[08:16] that's the entrance proper to the pens. But yes, now we're here. There's a couple of ways we could deal with this. A whole bunch of slaves just hanging out in this pen, which is very hard to crack open. Now, I'm pretty sure Yeah, you, my

[08:30] friend Ramsey. You've got the key on you, so I could just steal that. It weighs nothing, so I probably would be able to do it. But yeah, cracking open the gate in any way, it makes everybody attack you. The only way to do this

[08:45] without violence would be buying the slaves, but I'm pretty sure they cost a 200 each and you need to pass a speech check just to get him to make the offer. I don't think I could pass that speech check. Plus, my church taxes have made

[08:58] me too poor to buy these slaves. Luckily, it's night, so most of them are asleep right now anyway. So, as a result of that, I'm pretty sure

[09:11] So, as a result of that, I'm pretty sure I can kill half of them before they even flipping wake up. So, hang on. Get behind you. And never mind. The slaves are going to break my bloody sneaker tank. But sneaker attacks are kind of

[09:26] meaningless with an automatic melee weapon. So, right, just to take you out, buddy. You're dead. Move over here. And you're going to be dead before you even get up. You'll get maybe one shot off. You're dead as well. Then one more jump

[09:40] out, finish you off, and dead. All right, that will do the job quite nicely. So, yeah, help myself to various nicely. So, yeah, help myself to various bits and pieces dotted about here.

[09:54] Here's Ramsay as well. Slave Pen K. Spot on. So, we can do a good thing today and release these slaves. You're either the kindest person in the world or the dumbest. Either way, thank you. I can help you. It's the least I can do.

[10:10] >> That does feel like a very appropriate thing to say to you, Sir Steve. He is possibly the world's dumbest person. Yes. Yes. This lovely slave here has got some worn slave rags to add to my collection. Though, don't put those on

[10:26] just yet. There's a tiny bit more we need to do first. Specifically, we've got to get to the gates of the pets. So, step one, just step into the tunnel, hop step one, just step into the tunnel, hop on this here hand cart, and presumably,

[10:40] yes, take it all the way to Pittsburgh. Now, I'm no expert on America, but I feel like, you know, traveling from Washington DC to Pittsburgh on a little hand cart is a really bloody long journey. Like, my arms are going to be

[10:55] journey. Like, my arms are going to be really tired when we get there. Still on it we flippy go. Let's see if we can make this work because if I can Oh, the spectacular. And obviously we've got some more

[11:10] trouble to come yet. >> Hang on. Someone's coming. Let me do the talking. >> Just a follow up because yes, we've got a few nasty things to take care of first. Including all sorts of people

[11:24] clearly waiting a bloody ambush. Hey. Hey. What are you guys doing here? >> I might ask you the same thing. You got a lot of guts coming back to this place, >> Yeah, well, I guess that's the difference between us. I have a lot of

[11:38] guts. You don't. >> No guts. What do you mean? >> Okay. I feel like in many ways that was not very diplomatic, WA. But yes, W is

[11:50] pretty good at taking out these bastards. If we can just basically hide, deal with the people on the high ground. Let WA take most of the fire up front. Let WA take most of the fire up front. That is fine. So yeah, make sure we're

[12:04] using cover as far as possible. Wait for you to stop a bit of burst fire. Then head over here. Hit you. Take you down. These guys are Yeah, pretty basic. But for the time being, I've still got, you know, all of my special equipment I

[12:19] brought from the flipping capital wasteland. Why are you picking up blood packs, John? You do not need those. Yeah, we're in a pretty good spot right now. Honestly, just let Warner deal with this cuz he could basically [ __ ] all

[12:31] these individuals very easily. And by the way, WA, if you would mind just hurrying up with cracking open the gate because it's almost dawn. I would like to do this as soon as possible because I'm pretty sure there are some wild men

[12:47] off to the left. There we go. One is just abandoning me. Spot on. be able. >> But yes, as I was saying, there's trouble on the left here. And if I could

[12:59] just sneak around it, that would be ideal because there's no reason to cause trouble with the app, the wild man in

[13:11] the ruins over here. Unfortunately, I don't know what precisely what time the game considers that it becomes a day. that it becomes a day. supposed to knight. But yeah, just

[13:27] stay at the back here trying to avoid trouble. And welcome to the pits. trouble. And welcome to the pits. Step one, I need to Yes. cross the

[13:39] bridge. That could be tricky. There are like, you know, snipers, mines, cars, chain reactions of explosions, etc., etc. Also, Fallout 3, did you just crash? Right. As I was saying, step one, we

[13:56] need to find a way to Yes. cross that bridge. Ideally, with as little trouble as possible. Now, I know they're definitely There we go. Wild men over on

[14:08] the left. Arguably not a particularly scary opponent. They're numerous, but basically, yeah, they're just a fairly softer, squishy raiders. Just chat. softer, squishy raiders. Just chat. Sneak past them. Get on the bridge

[14:23] Sneak past them. Get on the bridge and watch out for flipping mines. Can't remember where because the game crashed and restarted. Yes, I need to reset the whole level one thing, which I forgot to do. So, I

[14:38] basically just got given all 10,000 XP in one go the moment I discovered the bridge. Okay, third time's a charm. There we go. 99,999 better question is yeah

[14:55] better question is yeah where are the mines precisely

[15:07] but they're going to be on the ground as opposed to on top of vehicles so being on top of vehicles when I can is Yeah, there we go. I see a few of you

[15:20] here. Yeah, staying on top of vehicles is probably a good idea. However, there is definitely a sniper up ahead. And I don't know if this sniper cheats like Aransaw in a minefield cheats where

[15:37] they just shoot at you regardless of whether they can actually see you or not. Some snipers in this game do just straight up cheat. straight up cheat. For the time being though, yeah, this is

[15:54] What else is on the bridge? I can't remember what else is on the bridge. And also whether Yeah, this side route is a better option. That's just a dog. Okay,

[16:06] direction. Straight at me. Straight at me. Straight to me. Okay, you know what? That's Hold down the thing. They die. All right, that's that's fine. Up on the All right, that's that's fine. Up on the car again.

[16:22] sniper? I know there's a sniper around here somewhere. But yeah, just stay up top. There we go. I knew there was a sniper. But yeah, for the time being, we're okay. We have not triggered any mines.

[16:39] Problem is a massive chain reaction could cause issues. Just move on up.

[16:51] Watch that mine and watch you as well. Stay up here. going this way is going to be better. My

[17:04] explosive skill is better these days. So I can like, you know, disarm mines more effectively. I'm probably going to get shot in a second. Yep. Definitely about shot in a second. Yep. Definitely about to be Yep. Definitely going to be shot.

[17:18] Okay, so now we're in a hurry. I'm going to do some drugs and great addicted to medex. Can't remember if there's a doctor that could sort out addiction here inside the pit, but we're

[17:33] suppose. Right, just go run. Disarm mines. Get to Right, just go run. Disarm mines. Get to the end as fast as possible. And right, fail to disarm that. And don't fail to disarm mines. Gods. Right. Like I was

[17:50] disarm mines. Gods. Right. Like I was saying, disarm mines. Don't fail to disarm mines. That would be the right. Fail to disarm mines again. Just slightly panicking right now. I'm sure it's all fine. Right. Get through here.

[18:03] If I can get underneath him, then he's doing a lot of damage to me. Bloody snipers. Right, get through here. I think we're now past the flipping mines. Here come some escaping slaves. There are more mines here as well. Just grab

[18:19] them. Get them out the way. No trouble, lads. No trouble. But at this point, never mind. The sniper is definitely still very much uh going for me. John, just get around the corner where it's safe. That's fine cuz

[18:35] yes, these guys around here, they are not shooting me. They're guarding the gate. So, this is the point where you do need the disguise. So, go on then. We're going to play along cuz there is no way to sneak your equipment inside this

[18:49] facility. So, just to dress up as a slave and go say hello to Yes, the slave and go say hello to Yes, the lovely slavers. here, huh? What's wrong? Couldn't get over the bridge. You're lucky I don't

[19:05] over the bridge. You're lucky I don't [ __ ] paste you. Why? I should wait. What the Now? Would you look at this? Where'd you get all this [ __ ] anyway? Where'd you get all this [ __ ] anyway? Whatever. Mine now. Thanks, Gab. I hit

[19:19] the jackpot today. Now get back in there and get to work. Or next time, I'll just stake you out there for the trogs. >> And there we go. I've lost my recon armor. I've lost my ripper. I have now got Well, okay. Let's figure out what I

[19:34] do have at this point. No, they've definitely taken all of the medicine. So, yeah, I can get that back at the end of this DLC if I want it. Though, yes, actually need that recon armor or indeed

[19:48] that ripper ever again. So, right into the pit dropper we go. So, step one, we need to Yes. to make contact with WA's companion inside the pit, Media, who

[20:01] could help get us settled in this brand new environment. But on the way, yeah, I just need to figure out how quickly I can pick up a decent bloody weapon. there. I can help you out. What do you

[20:14] >> Um, better and better. We've got a slave who is Well, okay, not a full doctor, who is Well, okay, not a full doctor, but she can fix me up. Did you do that for free, Nola? All right, let's do this fast before the boss's notice.

[20:29] >> All right, she can't sort out the whole medic situation, but it looks like potentially. Well, then again, actually, are you giving me a full condition top up? >> For the time being, I simply don't know

[20:42] cuz the medics is still currently affecting me. When it wears off, I may or may not suffer some withdrawal effects given Yeah, I don't know whether she's just sorted out the addiction or not. Werner sent you, didn't he? Good.

[20:58] He finally found someone. We can't talk out in the open like this. Meet me in my house as soon as you can. We'll talk there. Hilarious. I think the gabe got a bit bored off of me not making my way to media and sent her to find me. You're

[21:12] spot on. By the way, media a gosh darn it. Medics withdrawal. What does that actually mean? Intelligence minus one. Agility minus one. Honestly, not that important, actually. Still, we need to start

[21:27] rebuilding our supplies. So, random engine block around here contains three stimpacks cuz right now, do bear in mind, I'm still only got 140 hit points.

[21:39] But now, I've got basically no damage resistance and also no medicine. Like, I am so flimsy right now. meaning accordingly. Yeah,

[21:51] important, too. >> I serve the slop to the other slaves. news is that this crap is nearly >> but it's mostly radiated water and trog meat anyway. You want some or not?

[22:05] meat anyway. You want some or not? >> Oh, I absolutely do. So, I'm just going >> Oh, I absolutely do. So, I'm just going to ask her for Yes. more portions of >> Hey, sorry. I'm all out. Check back tomorrow. So, okay, five portions is all

[22:19] she'll give, mayor. But honestly, yeah, it's not bad, though. It is heavily irradiated. Just keep that in mind. >> All right, we can talk now, but we come in here, so they'll come looking for you if you take too long. I have a

[22:34] plan for getting you into Asher's palace, but we need to wait. In the in. >> So, okay. Step one of Medadia's plan is just blend in a bit, which doesn't really help me that much. Media

[22:49] crucially, however, yeah, let's talk weaponry. Yeah, I >> I can't really help you there. Ask around. Maybe check with Marco in the mill. He's been making some of our tools into weapons. You might even be able to

[23:02] find a gun on one of the dead bosses out in the steelard. They What was that? this scab? >> Um, nothing. Uh, nothing, sir. I I was

[23:16] just telling this new worker about the job the foreman posted. >> Oh, yeah. So, he's the one that's going out to the steel yard. Huh? >> Yes, sir. I told him what he needs to do. He He knows. 10 ingots as fast as he

[23:32] can. >> Well, then I hope you also said goodbye. grinders. >> Asher up there walking us down here in

[23:45] the muck. >> So, all right, we've got ourselves a >> So, all right, we've got ourselves a job. Find some ingots and also a new source of weaponry. And hang on. Is that Oh, hang on. You iding some drugs there,

[23:59] media. She is as well medex. Spot on. Absolutely. Take the drugs. So, okay. We've scavenged as much as we can from We've scavenged as much as we can from this area. Handful of medicine, a

[24:13] handful of food. It's going to have to do. But yeah, mosy around the corner to Monco in the Mill. I do like the mill by the way. The beaker machines are just beautiful. Okay, step one just around the corner.

[24:28] We should have a Marco. Here we go. Hello, Marco. >> You're the one Medadia told me about. Wernern sent you, right? I can help you Wernern sent you, right? I can help you out. Take this. It's called an auto axe.

[24:41] Nice, huh? I make them out of the old car parts the breakers drag in from the city. Do what you can with it. Just be careful around the bosses. Make a wrong move and you're done. So, there we go. I've just been given a

[24:55] So, there we go. I've just been given a brand new automatic melee weapon. One even stronger than the Ripper. The downside being, yeah, it's probably weaker than my ripper was purely because it's not in great condition. That done,

[25:10] onto my real job. And indeed, yes, the real meat and potatoes of this DLC. We're going out into the steel yard to collect steel ingots. And many ways,

[25:23] yes, this is basically the entirety of this DLC. The pit is a fairly small DLC, all things considered. 90% of it is just one gigantic environment. The steel yard we're about to go into. >> So, you're the lucky scab gathering

[25:38] ingots for me today, huh? >> Ed. Yes, indeed, Everett. That's me. >> Good to see a little enthusiasm for once. Well, follow me. >> Me and Everett are going to be friends because bloody hell can Everett give you

[25:54] some big rewards for gathering ingots forever. So, okay, weapons out. The DLC is about to begin properly as we enter this absolutely

[26:06] gigantic area. Yes, that background over there. That's Yes, that background over there. That's not for show. This is a very vertical area. You can end up, you know, climbing right up to the top ultimately. Speaking

[26:20] of which, this is my real flipping target right here. Ingots. That's two of them. need 10 just to be allowed to proceed further in this DLC, but there proceed further in this DLC, but there are 100. Now, I don't need all 100, but

[26:36] I wouldn't in any way mind. Yeah, quite a lot because a bonus once beyond the 10 can be traded for really, really bloody good rewards. Now, luckily, right at the start of this

[26:50] area, yeah, there's nothing too bad going on. I think it's going to be a little way in before we encounter anything. Basically, yeah, we're right at the bottom of the steel yard right now in a little corner without too much

[27:06] going on. So, all right, there's never mind. There's a Trog. They are fast, they hit hard, and they're melee only, which really works for me. So yeah, I will happily invite them to come

[27:24] and attempt to attack me. There's some guy talking to Yes, somebody who used to be his brother. Trogs are just, you know, devolved humans or whatnot. So all right, you're probably about to be killed by your friend. No trouble.

[27:39] be killed by your friend. No trouble. Oh, you're just taking care of that. Weapons away and jump. And completely failed the jump. Yes, there is some platforming to do in this area. That could be difficult in Fallout 3. If

[27:54] you're a bit higher up, maybe do consider constantly saving. Otherwise, there is a possibility of falling and dying. But yeah, you want to be hopping around as much as you can. It's a good way of finding a hidden ingot. So, just

[28:09] way of finding a hidden ingot. So, just hop up top here. Jump over to the next hop up top here. Jump over to the next one. There's another flipping two. I think that's it for you. And then yeah, hop up to the board here if we

[28:23] can. Try not to fall out cuz there is more. Almost fell out there. Hello over there, buddy. I see you. I'm sure you'll be coming to deal with me momentarily.

[28:36] Yeah, just hop down over to here. And we got three more right there. Next question is Yeah, as I just uh make sure we Loot the corpses.

[28:49] we Loot the corpses. How's your path finding? And how hard do you hit Trog friends? Cuz I know there's one of you here. So, right, get up top. See if I could draw your attention. Where did you just go?

[29:04] So, I don't want to go up just yet. I was kind of hoping to get your attention. So, yeah, there's at least three

[29:22] when the moment comes because I want to like, you know what, just hold out the like, you know what, just hold out the auto axe as if it were, you know, a flipping. Yep, there we go. I see you, buddy. Can I fit through here? I can as

[29:37] well. So, yeah, they go down super quick. They are flimsy and they provide quick. They are flimsy and they provide meat. Well, sometimes they provide meat. Okay, stay back here and use the corners.

[29:52] Hello there, good sir. Can we hit you? Yep, we can hit you through the flipping fence. That's positive. This properly locked up. That is locked up, but only easy. I can do that. So,

[30:06] okay. Use to see if can deal with some locks here. But yeah, if I'm just locks here. But yeah, if I'm just holding still on a corner, I can do Oh,

[30:19] which one's coming for me? Can they actually get to me? They can get a bit confused with up and down on occasion. Yeah, these robots here with signs of 75, you can wake them up and they can

[30:35] deal with this whole situation for you. Fortunately, I am nowhere near 75. So, right, let's get over to you. I see you guys interesting situation. So, just hold on the corner and they all die.

[30:53] Holding out on the corner. That is the flipping key right there. So, okay, two more and that is 10. The moment you hit 10, you pick up the auto expert

[31:06] hit 10, you pick up the auto expert perk. Meaning going forward, the auto perk. Meaning going forward, the auto axe is now even more flipping powerful. And it's 25% more powerful, too, which is a ridiculous benefit to have. So,

[31:20] yeah. Here's one of the interesting things about the steelard, which is the first time you go in, your quest is to gather 10 ingots. This means the ingots are quest items are thus done. Oh, slimy.

[31:36] Just got jump scared by a trog there. Luckily, just a baby trog, so he didn't hit that hard. But yes, like I was saying, they're quest items, meaning they don't weigh anything. The moment I turn in the first 10, they're no longer

[31:51] quest items, and then they start weighing something. So potentially, yeah, I want to gather more than 10, like loads of them right now. But you may also have noticed, by the way, I've not really got armor at

[32:07] this exact moment in time. And if I start turning them in, I can get rewards that are very bloody useful in terms of boosting my damage resistance. So yeah, we want a little bit more. And on top of that, I want to hop up onto yeah, the

[32:24] train carriages here. Come on, Fallout 3, you can do this. I believe in you. There we go. Up top. I see you down there as well. Right, just hop over. There's definitely going to be Hang on. The one who was up top. Yeah, you did

[32:40] The one who was up top. Yeah, you did make it downstairs so we can ambush you make it downstairs so we can ambush you idiots. Myself two more flipping steel ingots. That's fine. So, I just saw you. Oh, there's a lot of red. There's all of

[32:53] a sudden a lot of red here. This looks good. Actually, this could be good. Just Yeah. Screw it. Hop down here. And now hold out the thing, guys. There we go.

[33:05] One and two and three and four and job done. How much more is there down here, though? I don't think there are more. Yeah, ingot just on the ground around Yeah, ingot just on the ground around here. We'll need to go deeper in further

[33:20] here. We'll need to go deeper in further hut to acquire more. What we do however hut to acquire more. What we do however have is yes right here the flipping supply plant in here. Yeah, things get a bit messy

[33:35] because there are wild men with weapons and also tons. So really, I want them to fight each other and almost kill each other, but you just don't know which way the fights are going to go. Crack her open. Yeah, there's a nice Skyrim door

[33:51] at the end here. It's given this is, you know, formally a place where people worked. There's a decentish chance of maybe getting some flipping, you know, medicine or whatnot.

[34:08] Just watch out for rats because they're Oh, blimey. Blimey. Oh, sorry. Sorry. Wild man and also tro fledgling and also I think another wildman is

[34:23] Hello over there sir. You just walk in this direction. And are you dead? Hang this direction. And are you dead? Hang on. Is everybody dead? Not everybody. Now everybody right got a tiny bit ambushed by those guys. But yeah,

[34:37] Wildman at least can get me superior armor. DR up and melee weapons up. That'll flipping do. Like, it's better than cooking a slave rags anyway. Just

[34:49] than cooking a slave rags anyway. Just lost like 40 hit points. Okay, so we're just going to eat some food, drink some water, etc., etc. But I cannot afford to take even small lightheads. Check the corpses, Janna.

[35:04] Cuz these used to be people sometimes. They've got good stuff on them, which I completely forgot to do outside, but fine, I suppose. Uh-oh. fine, I suppose. Uh-oh. Who's cocking? No. No. Come.

[35:17] And hopefully Well, never mind. There's There's more trouble coming up. More There's more trouble coming up. More trouble coming up. Just take out you as long as you see him coming. Yeah. Plenty of drugs. Also get the thing

[35:30] we're actually here for the ingots and whatnot. Continue checking a for oh a stimpack. A stimpack will flipping do my friend. But yeah, there's fledglings but there's also four trogs on occasion. They're

[35:46] going to hit a lot harder. Watch out for the No. Could you just stay cooking the No. Could you just stay cooking dead, please? Thank you. Medex. Lovely. Stimpack. Tyion. Troublemaker. Yeah, I think that was a better condition

[35:58] think that was a better condition troublemaker. So, pop that on right now. They do basically the same thing. So, yeah, that's literally no benefits. Spot yeah, that's literally no benefits. Spot on. So, keep on keeping on. They also

[36:12] see a flipping a first aid box. And gosh darn, I was hoping for rad related stuff actually, but we're just going to have to make do. I see Trogs, you're going to no, you're not. You're going to fling yourself off a flipping ledge. That's

[36:27] fine, too. Hold that. Corner guarding. That's the key. You just guard the That's the key. You just guard the corners and there's nothing they can do. Unless, of course, you get swarmed. Too many of them start coming in at the same

[36:40] time. That could be a problem cuz they are bloody fast. So, right. Oh, you got are bloody fast. So, right. Oh, you got one hit in.

[36:54] So, that's the end of the auto axe. It was good while it lasted. Oh dear. Now was good while it lasted. Oh dear. Now life potentially gets more difficult because now I just don't have an auto axe. I've

[37:07] got a butter knife. That's nice. And also in the office upstairs, grenades. That can keep me alive for the minute too together with some more medicine.

[37:19] So, right, the turrets would be lovely as well. But no, no, I can't turn on the turrets right now. I cannot do 50 cooking science. Just be ready for

[37:33] trouble. There's some rata away. Good, good, good, good. Rataway is very, very welcome. Desperately need that. There's a lot of flipping rads around here. Take radex as well. That is fine. We could crack open the other one. Good. And

[37:47] better and flipping better. And that gets me five stimpacks. Lovely. And grenades, too. Right. Take the right hand corridor first

[38:05] because I'm pretty sure this is where we get a handful more. Yeah. I'm hearing trouble around the corner. That is yeah, wild men fighting the do is No, don't toss a grenade jet, John. Not

[38:19] wasn't really strictly necessary at that point. Right, get around the corner point. Right, get around the corner here. Who else is that? I don't know, but I'm just going to toss a grenade at you right now, good sir. I just feel

[38:31] like that's a good idea. Who else is left? Who else is left? Nobody. There's a flamer. And another flamer. Not much fuel, but you know what? A flamer works really well for my build as

[38:47] well. So, I'm kind myself to all the drugs, all the everything. DR16. Honestly, that's not a bad amount of DR.

[38:59] I might just be willing to take that. Yes. And a big old pile of steeling. Got like five of them right here and some flamer fuel as well, though. Really not much. Yeah, I can put those two flamers together.

[39:13] Damage 69. It is a rapid fire weapon presumably. You know, superior defender works for this thing. But yeah, back to the first room. And now take the other branch. And I think we're almost done here. Gosh

[39:31] darn it. We've got one useful side room. average locked, which without my plus a average locked, which without my plus a five lockpicking armor, I cannot do. Right, just use the flamer on any nearby trogs, by the way. That worked pretty

[39:45] well, actually. So, yeah, just help myself to radex. Not bad. A jet, bobby pins, and meat. Yeah, until I find a key. Is there a key for this door? I think the key is inside, actually. So, no, nothing much yet.

[40:06] But yeah, headed to the top. We've got to the top floor. That's the key bit. And yeah, how myself too drugs and everything. And booze. Booze could be very useful. See you two over there. They're very not perceptive, so I might

[40:21] be able to sneak up on you. And stop. And fire. And dead. Lovely. Okay, the flamer that will sort of work though, there's a lot of rads floating

[40:33] around. Maybe do some uh radex and rat away just for safety. However, the real reason we wanted to come here ultimately is because the man opener is here

[40:46] together with flamer fuel as well. And honestly, the flamer is doing well for me right now. But yes, the man opener. Let's talk about the man opener because the man opener is great. The man opener

[40:58] the man opener is great. The man opener is basically an auto axe that ignores armor. So that's meaningless for dealing with trogs, but yeah, for dealing with a whole bunch of other bits and pieces like so, you know, slavers and whatnot.

[41:12] Oh, that's bloody useful. Better and better. This is even a usable bed. So yeah, that is renewable healing. If I could get back here, I can flipping use it. So, uh, okay, that at least is,

[41:28] you know, much much better. Still, I would say entered the pit. How about we would say entered the pit. How about we call it a P there? But next time, okay, we are going deeper into the pit steelard. And as we go further in and

[41:44] further up, the enemies are going to get nastier. And while the auto axe and the man opener are incredible bloody weapons, as we've just seen, the condition does wear out fast. Like I can't bank on using that thing going

[41:58] forward potentially. It's going to break very bloody quickly. So yes indeed, we weapons deep in the steelards next episode. So hopefully you join me for

[42:10] that. But in the meantime, I've been John. This has been many a true nerds and this has been a Fallout 3, the worst wanderer. Thank you very much and goodbye. If we just hide the bodies, nobody needs

[42:25] If we just hide the bodies, nobody needs to know about this. Yes, my stupid stupid plan has worked. It turns out I'm a genius. The giant rad scorpion is not gone. Oh, hang on. There's there's more yet, though. I'm still being very

[42:38] shocked, guys. Where's the NCR? Nobody needs to know.
