03:48[00:01] Your target audience. The next thing that we need to explore is who is your target audience. You would be amazed how many people don't actually do the research to figure out who
[00:13] their target audience is. A lot of people have the idea that I will just create my company, put my services and products online, and the right people will find me.
[00:25] And of course you can do that, but then your income will be just as sporadic as your marketing. It will be hit or miss. And I hate to say it, but most of the time miss.
[00:38] So if you want a steady income, then what you have to do is find the right people that need whatever it is that you have to offer. So in order to figure that out, you're going to have to do some work.
[00:50] You're going to have to do some research. Now along the line, while you're figuring out who these people are, you have to pay close attention to what their challenges their weaknesses the things that they are trying to overcome You have to figure those things out because if you can give them answers if you can assist
[01:11] them so that life is just a little bit easier for them, that's when you're going to make sales. So one of the things that I think is really important because things change day to day,
[01:26] week to week, month to month, even year to year in your business. What you have to do is stay focused. So how do you stay focused? Well one of the things that I have done is I have created a mission statement for my
[01:41] business, for my blog. And whenever I start to wander away, I look at my mission. It's the heart and soul and focus of my business.
[01:53] Who am I serving? How am I different? How are the products and services that I offering how are they special and unique and different than say a big retailer or even my competitors So I highly suggest you do a mission statement When you you know go through the exercises of creating
[02:16] mission statement, you're going to learn a great deal and basically hone in on your target audience. So that's something that I highly recommend. Also, over time, as people change, and we all do,
[02:32] we learn, we grow, we move on. That's going to happen to your blog as well. So keep in mind that once you've done this exercise, you have to revisit it from time to time. You're going to have to
[02:45] tweak it, if you will, to suit your current audience that may change over time. So pay Pay close attention to trends and statistics, I would say.
[03:00] Watch your page analyzations your post analyzations Google analyzations You always going to be monitoring your blog So you don just set it up have fun and walk away Not if you want to make sales
[03:18] Another thing that I wanted to go over briefly is after you've done all of the research for your target audience and you've zeroed in on exactly who they are, what their needs are, what their challenges are,
[03:32] Then the next thing you have to do is you have to target your marketing. Perhaps you want to do Facebook ads. Like for myself, being a visual sight, I'm into photography and painting, I find that
[03:48] Pinterest and Instagram are two platforms that work well for me. But you're going to have to figure out what works for you. And that will take time. So don't give up. It's worth it.
[04:01] It's just going to take research, time, and experience. And the only way to get that is by doing it. So if you have any questions, let me know.
