[00:14] The first category of getting paid to watch videos is what I'm calling GPT apps. Not chat GPT, but get paid to apps. There's actually quite a few of these apps that pay you to watch videos. Jump task, earnably, paid work, and some

[00:26] others. But in a lot of cases, videos is just code word for commercials, for ads, and the pay is really low. Now, it would be one thing if you could just stick it in another room and let it play all day and rack up some passive income, but of

[00:39] They make you click on things to make sure you're really there. They make you pennies. The second way to do it is to rate and review videos and ads. One the Pie. It's been around for almost 20 years and you can get paid to rate

[00:55] songs, games, commercials, movie trailers, stuff like that. In that time, Slice the Pie has paid out almost $10 million. But when you divide that by the number of reviews submitted, it doesn't look as strong. So 9.6 divided by 80.3

[01:11] million reviews and you're at a little less than 12 cents per review. And that's their advertised uh rate here. Our independent app tester earned even less than that. He said he earned three cents for

[01:26] reviewing a uh a Kinder Egg commercial. Hey, I earned 3 cents for doing this. And you can kind of see he's like writing quite a bit of of text here after this. So, it's not just like write it and give it a thumbs up, thumbs down.

[01:39] Said he earned 5 cents for this review of a radio commercial for a mobile ad network. So, the minimum to cash out here, while they do pay, right? It it is a legit service, but it takes a $10 minimum to cash out, which is going to

[01:54] take hours, hours and hours of effort. Pretty low hourly rate there. Another service that we found last year was called Media Probe, a market research called Media Probe, a market research company here. And this is where you

[02:06] apply to become a panelist. It's kind of an interesting service. and they send you like this electronic device that you wear to kind of measure your emotional response as you're watching certain

[02:18] what you're watching. They they're going to assign these to you. Sports events, entertainment shows, podcasts. I think they have radio broadcasts on here as well. So, you submit your little application here and maybe you get

[02:31] depending on what kind of demographics they're looking for. And then according to the site, you can earn hey, it's probably less than five bucks an hour. Hey, I'm getting paid to watch TV. This person uh reported earning again around5

[02:45] an hour, a little bit more. And hey, it adds up £60 per month, equivalent to $75, $80 if uh we do the the currency translation there. The other thing to be aware of is that they pay uh through Amazon gift cards. So, if you're looking

[02:58] for cash, then you're uh going to be out of luck because they are are only going to send you a gift card. And so, those first three are all fine options. They're legit ways to get paid a little bit to watch some videos. Probably not

[03:11] very scalable, probably not going to make much of a dent in your budget, but options nonetheless. To really get paid to watch videos, you got to think one level higher. For example, could you learn video editing and offer that as a

[03:23] service? That's number four on this list. Could you learn an AI video editing tool and use that in your workflow? We see video editors on Fiverr charging anywhere from $3 per video minute to almost $100 with hundreds of

[03:36] reviews, which tells me there's a lot of demand for this kind of thing. One demand for this kind of thing. One potential strategy is to specialize in a a specific type of video or category like hype promo videos, sports videos,

[03:48] travel videos. There's uh lots of different flavors there. or a specific software tool that you learn and uh and become an expert in. And if you are using one of the many many uh AI video editing tools, I think you'll be able to

[04:03] deliver some pretty impressive results even if this is just a first pass. Number five is to create content about videos, sports, movies, and shows. Could you build content around movie reviews, postgame sports analysis for your

[04:17] favorite team, a summary digest of top YouTube channels? You could probably do that with AI now, which might eliminate the whole watching the videos part. Some of the most popular podcasts for decades have been built around reacting to

[04:29] popular TV series. For example, my friend Daryl co-hosts the Stranger Things podcast with his daughter, and they make money through sponsorships. It's a cool way to monetize some family bonding time watching a show they love.

[04:41] Category number six is what I'm calling watch content. I want to show you this channel called Cat Watches Horror Movies and the content delivers what it promises. It's her watching and reacting to scary movies. Her most popular posts

[04:55] have a couple hundred thousand views and the channel overall has grown to over a 100,000 subscribers in the last couple years. If we plug Cat Watch's horror movies into SocialBlade, it estimates she's earning up to 1,500 bucks per

[05:08] month. And I think the reason this type of watchalong content works is it turns a solo experience into a shared experience. You get to see it through the lens of someone else. Maybe they're seeing it for the first time or maybe

[05:21] they're offering some kind of expert commentary, some comedic perspective that you wouldn't get just by watching it all alone. The seventh way to get paid to watch videos is UGC, user generated content. How this works is you

[05:34] turn your doom scrolling into dollars by watching other videos to learn what kind of hooks work, what templates to follow, the common calls to action, and then turning around to start creating those videos yourself for other brands. And

[05:47] the market for these short form videos is really hot with creators like you earning hundreds of dollars per clip. If >> you're brand new to UGC and you're just starting out, the be typical beginner rates are going to be like $150 to $200

[06:01] per UGC video. Most brands want multiple UGC videos when they're hiring you. Um, so 150 to 200, that's what I charge at the beginning. Now, because obviously, like anything else, you get better, you get clients, you get, you know, you get

[06:15] results for brands. Now, I charge, you know, I could charge well over $1,000 know, I could charge well over $1,000 per UGC video. Um, and you can also supplement brand >> and these are super short. Like I

[06:29] there's some I want to highlight there's some editing required and there's some >> but like we're talking about a 45se secondond video, a thousand bucks, you that. >> Exactly. Yeah. So, for this brand, you

[06:42] know, they I Yeah, I charged them a little over $1,000 per video and they to explain how she connected with the decision makers of various brands and why you don't need a huge social following of your own to get paid here.
