Shielding Method and Mathematical Tricks for Sports Betting

[00:46] in a very clear way. The first thing we have to do, obviously, is create a ticket. It's a ticket that anyone can make, with or without experience in betting, and what we're going to do is create

[00:59] our bets. Okay, so here we have the ticket, which we've called "Goal Engineer." It comes with its barcode and a date. We've set it up, and well, the first thing we have to do

[01:12] is create our bets. The first bet for this ticket, just for this example, will be Barcelona vs. Bayern Munich in the Champions League, where we bet on the Bayern Munich in the Champions League, where we bet on the away team, meaning

[01:24] second bet would be Manchester City vs. Lyon, where we bet on the home team, meaning Manchester City would win. Well, as many of you have already noticed, this bet obviously lost, but today I'm going to

[01:39] show you a trick so that you win this bet no matter what happens. You're going to win this bet. For this, we're going to need a series of conditions. What are those conditions? Well, the first is the timing.

[01:56] What does this mean? The last match we choose from our ticket has to start right when the previous ones have finished. For example, and this is a rather extreme example, Barcelona vs.

[02:11] Bayern Munich was played on the 14th, while Manchester City was played on the 15th. Obviously, there's a huge time difference. Now let's talk about the second condition, which would Being the

[02:26] direct opposite, this might be causing many of you to wonder what a direct opposite is. Well, we'll explain this throughout the examples we're going to present below. Okay, here we have our ticket

[02:54] we always make. Our prediction for this September 27th started with the youngster against Bayern Munich, we went for the over 2.5 which paid 1.22, to Manchester City against Leicester over 1.5 for the 12-point bonus, to

[03:09] Freiburg against Wolfsburg over 1.5 paying 1.25, Club Brugge against Luján if we did paying 1.25, Club Brugge against Luján if we did n't go for the over 1.5 it was giving 1.12, and as the last match, as I always say, Club América against Cruz Azul which we

[03:25] Club América against Cruz Azul which we went for the over 1.5 paying 1.20, the aesthetic odds in total gave us 2 points 39. Okay, now let's identify the

[03:37] 39. Okay, now let's identify the conditions of this ticket. As you know, the last match on this ticket has to meet the scheduling conditions. What does this mean? The first four matches were played around...

[03:49] sorry, they were played during the morning, and Club América was the only one that started at 9:30, a huge time difference. And as a second condition, we've mentioned that it has to have a direct opposite.

[04:03] Okay, we'll mention that on the next slide. But now identify our winnings on this ticket. We have odds of 2.39. These odds, for those who don't know, are obtained by multiplying the

[04:20] odds of the five matches. What does this mean? 1.22 times 1.12 times 1.25 times 1.12 times this mean? 1.22 times 1.12 times 1.25 times 1.12 times 1.20 gives us 2.39. 1.20 gives us 2.39.

[04:35] going to do it by 100 soles, which would be very practical to understand better. So, this

[04:47] this ticket would give us 239 soles. But let's say these 239 soles are our profit. The truth is, they aren't, and many people ignore that because many claim to work. Listen, 239 soles? No, no, no. What you've

[05:47] the Club América vs. Cruz Azul match has to have a direct opposite. Our prediction has to have a direct opposite. What does this mean? What is the direct opposite of the +1.5? The direct opposite would be the

[06:01] The direct opposite would be the -1.5. Once we have everything clear... In this, we'll move to the next slide. Okay, here we have the same ticket with the America vs. Cruz Azul group,

[06:14] ticket with the America vs. Cruz Azul group, which failed at 1.5. That's different; at least 1.5 means they're direct opposites, with 1 out of 2 wins. Okay, so in the +1.5 bet, what we have to do is identify the

[06:29] +1.5 odds. As we saw, the first one gave us 1.20, and the -1.5 means what it gave us 1.20, and the -1.5 means what it was paying us. It was paying us 3.75. Okay, so what are we going to do now? What we have to do is create a

[06:46] new ticket. That is, once we know that we've won the four matches, we only have one left. We're going to create the match—excuse me, a ticket—with that single match. We're not going to add any other matches; it will only be

[07:00] the America vs. Cruz Azul group match, betting on the direct opposite, as we'll see. So we're going to go at at least 1.5, which isn't a wild least 1.5, which isn't a wild 3.75. Okay, now the question: I think

[08:36] always have to do: 239 divided by 3.75. 3.75 and it will give us 63.7 and obviously we will then get 238 points on the second ticket.

[08:48] calculations, some simple mathematical calculations to find out how much profit we will get on ticket number 1, on this ticket number 2. We will subtract 239 soles from the 100 soles bet on the first ticket plus

[09:03] the 63 points and 7 soles bet on the second ticket. Our net profit will second ticket. Our net profit will be 75 soles on the second ticket. As we can see, 238 minus the 100 soles contributed on the first ticket plus the 60

[09:20] and 3.7 bet on the second ticket will also give us 75 soles. What does that mean? That if Club América scores more than two goals against Cruz Azul, scores more than two goals against Cruz Azul, we win 75 soles. And if they don't

[09:35] score, as was the case, with a zero-zero draw, we would still win 75 soles. This is the best thing about this bet: no matter the result, we no matter the result, we will win the same amount. It

[09:50] 's the shielding method, well, that was also clear. Let's go with another example. We already saw that, so this example will be taken from September 25th. And this will surely be remembered by

[14:56] 100 soles bet on the first ticket plus the 57.7 points bet on the plus the 57.7 points bet on the second ticket. This will give us 73.3 soles. That's our winnings if Manchester City wins. Now, on the second

[15:12] ticket, we have 200.31 - the 100 soles contributed on the first ticket plus the 57.7 points bet on the second ticket. This will also give us 73.3

[15:53] be fundamental in all your bets, in every aspect. Forget about losing; bet on at least two matches, and that's it. If one wins, you're technically guaranteed to win the second. This also works to protect your
