Plot 27: Highest Point

Plot 27 is the highest point, offering the best views, but Plot 30 is preferred for its freestanding rock and watchtower, accessible only via rope bridges.

Other Notable Plots

Plots 45 and 13 are also mentioned for their unique features like firewatch towers, jetties, and proximity to amenities like flower markets and canoe schools.

[18:20]
Plot 9: Secret Cave

Plot 9 has a secret cave behind a waterfall filled with bones, humorously dubbed the 'serial killer plot,' adding to the zone's charm.

[00:00] This video is sponsored by Squarespace. Hello Internet, Tallyessin here, and today we are talking player housing in World of Warcraft Midnight.

[00:14] We are talking the Horde area, Razorwings Shores, and we are ranking the best pot to live in Razorwings Shores when the expansion goes live. And I know what you're thinking. You're thinking, oh man, Tally, I'm not living in the Horde neighbourhood.

[00:29] all that dust and mud and cactus. Have you seen the Alliance Zone? And yes, Founders Point definitely has the more obvious player housing aesthetic. It is so human coded with its little cottages and roofs and everyone wants to live in Elwynn's Forest at the end

[00:44] of the day. I get it. But I did tell you, fam, overlooking the Horde neighbourhood would be a massive mistake. Because actually, Razorback Shores is, low key, in many of the most important

[00:56] ways, the better of the two zones to live in. It has a greater diversity in its biomes and housing spots, and in my opinion, better attention to detail in the fun stuff that it just puts around the housing plots for players to feel like a part of their home.

[01:11] And especially once the Blood Elf exterior housing options hit, which, with this I've said, they will before launch, this is going to be an absolutely incredible place to live. And if all of this comes as a surprise to you, don't worry, it did to me too.

[01:26] So join us as we rank the best plots to build your home in Razor Wings Tools, okay? Go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go. Cragthorn Highlands. Cragthorn Highlands is the Ishara-style part of the neighbourhood,

[01:41] where you'll find plots nestled in amongst towering or tumbled trees and dirt tracks, and I think Blizz has absolutely nailed this area. It feels simultaneously like a summer camp or new age health retreat, but also totally encapsulates that feeling of going off grid and hiding away in the woods.

[01:59] And nearly all the plots around here just have cool stuff attached to them, like Plot 20. This is the first plot I found that made me really fall in love with Razorbone Shores. It's a beautiful plot in its own right, in the heart of the forest, but what really makes this little patch of land special is the balcony.

[02:17] And you know, lots of these plots have balconies with some description, as we'll see, bordering their buildable area. That's not unusual, but there's balconies, and then there's the balcony. And this, Internet, is definitely the balcony.

[02:33] It's just so charming and well laid out. The views are stunning. This is the breakfast balcony that will make you want breakfast for every meal. And if I wasn't already sold on this shit before, I then realised there was even more. because underneath your balcony is this little reading hook.

[02:47] I mean, like, this is so adorable and extra and unnecessary and glorious. What a f***ing cool place to have your player home. I mean, seriously, this is awesome, right? Yeah, I took this plot on the alpha and I made a massive fire garden,

[03:00] which was all on fire, but on purpose, though, because it's a garden, okay? And I'll admit, it wasn't quite so adorable anymore, but don't worry, because Blizz have changed these massive fire torch things to only be placeable inside, inside, so you won't get idiots like me ruining the most lovely plots in the game with, you know, fire gardens,

[03:16] no matter how cool fire gardens are. Plot 39, the Mountain Ranger. One of the most private feelings. You have to cross a rickety old bridge over a treacherous ravine to even get there, and when you do, it feels like the entire mountain belongs to you from up here.

[03:33] And actually, it kind of does all belong to you. This long path along the mountain to the stunning 100ft high party balcony is too far away to feel like it's really part of a plot in any other part of the map,

[03:45] but here, there's no one else it could possibly belong to. Travelling on foot, players can only get there by walking through your plot, so it genuinely feels like this is your garden,

[03:57] meaning you get a garden with string lights. In this exterior decor economy, I mean, there's just something so out of the way and peaceful about this plot. It's not on the way to anything else, you know? I love it.

[04:09] Plot 46, Four Sisters. Nestled on its own little rocky ridge in the Leeson Highlands, this is what you get to look at as your back garden. Three waterfalls on your doorstep, and look, there's no jokes here, okay? No sarcasm.

[04:24] This is just awesome. This gets me right in the feels. But honestly, it gets even better, because out the back of the plot, not connected to anything other than your plot, a little path leads down to your very own little fishing

[04:39] jetty at the foot of the waterhole, and the doodad world dressing here is so cool. You got little crab cages chopped wood a little covered campfire to chill at and barrels full of spears Haven you always wanted a barrel full of spears I love this little bit of world building You can see

[04:55] just across the river here is a target with your spears embedded into it, like you've been practising your hunting flows across the water, and you're pretty good, honestly. The perfect plot to live your off-the-grid forest hermit fantasies. But you know, there's

[05:10] actually another bonus cherry on top of this lush house pie, and that's the actual name of the area you're in. The plot itself is in Cragthorne Highlands, the famous all the houses in this

[05:22] easiest shower part of the neighbourhood, but as you take that walk down to your jetty, you'll notice that the location changes to Four Sisters, and there is no other plot in the entire

[05:34] zone that is even partially situated in Four Sisters like this one is, which technically makes number 46 the most exclusive address in the whole neighborhood. I thought so. Just a lovely evocative name, isn't it?

[05:47] You definitely tell your parents you live in Four Sisters rather than Cragthorne, you know? I bet that's the postcode for getting your kids into a way better school. The only thing I can't work out is why it's called Four Sisters. I assumed it was because there were four waterfalls, but there's just three.

[06:02] Surely, does this count as two? Is that how waterfalls work? I don't know how waterfalls work, but this looks like three waterfalls to me. If you're happy with one that's more told and advertised, like, if that won't bother you, this plot is for you. Special mention, while we're in Cragthorne, for plot number 38.

[06:16] Where not only is your plot perched right on the edge of a cliff, overlooking a relaxing, open expanse of seas, but just down the path, and literally seconds from your front door, is this weirdly inviting collection of public bathtub overlooking the same view.

[06:31] Is it weird to get naked and sit with a beer in the bath at the edge of the cliff? For everyone else, yes, absolutely. But not for you. It's not weird if you can still see your house while you're sitting in the bath. It's perfectly normal, and don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

[06:43] Salt Fang Shoals. Whereas the Alliance neighbourhood, found at Point, has coastal areas that are wind-threatened, harsh, open seascapes, which I love, that's kind of where I live in real life.

[06:55] So I very much appreciate the tropical charms of Razor Wind's Salt Fang Shoals, which, by comparison, feel much more alive and populated with some extra-special-ly interesting plot.

[07:08] Like... Plot 19. Hey, have you ever wanted your own private island? Just like all those celebrities you love and look up to? Like, um, well, I mean, okay, this is a bad idea. Have you never wanted to own a private island?

[07:22] Just you, the beach, and the sea, completely detached from the rest of the world? I mean, of course you have. Have you seen, like, the rest of the world? Plot number 51 on Salt Fancholes looks on the map like an island property, and it kind of is,

[07:35] but it is connected to the mainland via a couple of bridges. For the authentic lost experience, you need its neighbour, Plot 19. Currently the only housing area in the game on its own private island that you have to fly or swim to get to.

[07:51] You get a plot literally on its shore, which, I mean, you kind of have to really because it's all shore, but also a beautiful, pristine, private beach right next to your plot. And if that weren't enough, there's places here to just hang out and be cool,

[08:05] a fire pit, and your own private kiki bar that you can invite all your friends and American presidents to visit. You get to feel like Daniel Craig at the beginning of Skyfall every day, with the shortest walk home imaginable. I can't see any downside to this plot at all,

[08:19] besides the fact that you'll be the first to go when Azeroth climate change really kicks in. But in the meantime, Plot 19 is the definition of the peaceful tropical island getaway. No polar bears, though, unfortunately.

[08:31] Plot number 26 places you in a shady, easterly part of the beach, but what makes this plot special is that it's just close to loads of cool stuff, like a fun-looking NPC island just across the way, which makes this the closest plot to the official wedding venue of Razor Wind Shores,

[08:47] and a mysterious rocky path which will lead you to a gigantic cave full of smugglers. And I know, I know, we all want to live in the cave. I get it. It's weird that we can't live in the cave. If I was Ian Hathacostas,

[08:59] I would suspend all other work on midnight until it was possible to live in the cave. But I'm not Ian Hathacostas because I don't even own a bitchy watch sword t-shirt and we can't live in the cave. So, plot 26 is the next best thing.

[09:11] The smugglers here are the vendors that sell the standard decor items from the Alliance neighborhood. so they are actually incredibly useful neighbours to have. But they're not your best neighbours, though. No, it is actually, I kind of buried the lead on this plot,

[09:24] the best thing about number 26 is that there are not one, but two hippos wandering around the ground. You get two hippos on this plot Two And with any luck they fall in love and one day you log in to find loads of hippos What more could you possibly want Top tip though be careful with the hippos because it is very possible to accidentally click on them

[09:46] and you will kill them, and no one wants dead hippos anymore. Okay, moving on, this is plot 49. What do you think? I mean, it's fine, isn't it? Up high on a coastal cliff in the southwest of the zone, nice views over salt-fanged shoals.

[10:00] It's very nice. It's very fine. Yes, but what if I told you that Plot 49 is actually, potentially, the most flat-out, fun-addressed game Razor in Shores?

[10:12] To the extent that I've labelled it The Thrill Seeker. Out the back of the plot is this rickety-looking wooden platform jutting out from the cliffs, which allows you to really take in and appreciate those views. It's very thoughtful, surrounded by warning signs,

[10:25] and it gets your plot in a 50-foot-high diving board right into the sea below. And let's be honest, a 50-foot diving board into the sea answers basically any question or challenge, really, doesn't it?

[10:40] Like, do you like your house? It's got a 50-foot diving board into the sea. Why are you late for aid? I've got a 50-foot diving board into the sea. Name three films by Italian horror master Dario Argento. Uh, I've got a 50-foot diving board into the sea. Place your house at the front door, facing directly at the 50-foot diving board into the sea,

[10:55] so you can jump 50-foot into the sea every time you leave your house, or place your house the other way to have a 50-foot diving board into the sea in your backyard, which would be the best thing you ever have in your backyard. Maybe you could have parties and all your friends can come over

[11:07] and jump off your 50-foot diving board into the sea. Anyway, plot 49. It's got a diving board into the sea. There you go. Otherwise, honestly, the plot isn't that great, but whatever. The southernmost plot in Razor in Shores is an extra special little spot as it is the most isolated player housing plot in the entire game.

[11:24] Both by pure distance away from other homes, but also, perhaps more importantly, This is the only plot which is not in view of any other plot at all. You walk down an isolated sandy path, through a giant whale rib cage,

[11:39] and into your own completely private part of Azeroth. Just you, the sea, the crabs, the shipwreck, and no one else. Okay, so that's not strictly true. Depending on how much of a dick the owner of plot number 12 is,

[11:52] like, if they really try, they can shove their house into the far corner of their space, and you might be able to see them and whatever idiotic roof they decided to put on their stupid ugly house. But under normal circumstances, no, you can't see any other players and they can't see you.

[12:07] But don't do anything weird though, okay? That's not an excuse to do anything weird. Just enjoy the quiet. Be normal. Moving off of the beach now, and if the most secluded spot in the neighbourhood is not really to your taste, maybe you'd prefer the most central one instead.

[12:21] Oh, but before that, Evertel's got something she needs to tell you right now. Hi team, Evertel here, number one player housing stan and also a serial quite possibly number one Squarespace stan.

[12:33] And I'm not just saying that because they are sponsoring today's video, so thanks for that guys, we really do appreciate it. Squarespace has just held its Refresh 2025 event and announced loads of new features and tools for you to go absolutely crazy on.

[12:47] Among them is this layout generator, which is exactly that. It generates alternatives for how parts of your page can look, and with a single click, literally makes it so. No more excuses for ugly formatting measures. No.

[13:00] Speaking of ugliness, I recently discovered that Squarespace can give you an SEO score, which in our case was absolutely dismal. But there is a carrot that came with this stick, and that is this beautiful Optimize button.

[13:14] After a quick scan, I had instant suggestions for missing metadata and alt text and the ability to quickly make any changes I wanted to. After saving all that, we're in much better territory with a 98% SEO ranking and my recurring failing high school calculus nightmares have miraculously stopped.

[13:33] Didn't even have to go to therapy for that one. And who needs therapy when you have money? No, but really, Squarespace now provides financing for all the biz owners out there. Based on your website's selling history and performance, you can actually apply for financing directly through Squarespace to give your business a boost in the growth department.

[13:53] I think I need to sell some t-shirts. Did I mention I sell t-shirts? Nazi layout, SEO, financing, gosh, I'm starting to sound like an actual professional person. YouTube can be a pro with 10% off your first purchase of a Squarespace website or domain

[14:08] when you head to squarespace.com slash TaliesinEvitel or when you use code TaliesinEvitel or when you just click the link in the description below at squarespace.com slash TaliesinEvitel.

[14:20] 98% is still good, Mom. It's still good. There a part of me which is a little bit disappointed that the buildings in these bustling town center shops that Blizzard shared for months before neighbourhoods went online consist entirely of NPC buildings and aren available

[14:35] as player housing plots at all. And I get it, they'd probably have to have smaller plots and Blizzard wanted everyone to be equal, probably felt it was important to maintain a really strong unifying aesthetic style in these parts of town that everyone visits.

[14:47] But personally, I like to live right in the heart of things and I bet many of you feel the same. Plot number 21 is not in the center of town, unfortunately, but it's as close as you're going to get. Being able to see the gristing fires of the big city from your garden, and also having

[15:03] the shortest possible commute to the main square where everything happens. So this is the most efficient plot from a pure gameplay point of view, too. Living here is the quickest way of getting to the vendors, probably also of picking up endeavor quests and what have you. So this should

[15:17] be your first choice if you just want to get your housing stuff done as painlessly as possible, and log out again. Basically, what I'm saying is, Plot 21 is the player housing plot for horde players who hate player housing. But also, those who love player housing so much,

[15:30] they want to be as close as possible to the vendors. And you may have noticed by now that all of the plots we've seen so far, none of them really fit into the aesthetic of what I think we all assumed would be the dominant in the horde neighborhood,

[15:42] that dusty, durotar, orc starting zone vibe. And I think that's a good thing overall. One of the reasons Razorwind Shores has been such a pleasant surprise is because of the rich and colourful diversity of its biomes.

[15:54] But what if you do want to live in a mud hut in a dirty sand bowl? What if you are looking forward to those 2004 oak fields and are horrified with the clear blue tropical waters and idyllic old tumblewoods? Well, honestly, your options are pretty slim,

[16:09] and that's why plot number 47 makes this list. Because I think it's the only spot in this whole zone that truly embodies what we all assumed Razor Wind Shores was going to be. Sure, Plot 40 and especially 29 do loads to capture that aesthetic

[16:24] and are probably overall going to be more desirable and cooler to live in because you've got gushing beezers directly outside your front door. And that's pretty cool, isn't it? But 40 doesn't dick around with water features and goes all in on that day one

[16:37] logging into WoW with your first Orc Warrior stealer song. You've got your cacti. You've got your Monument Valley rock formations. The complete lack of water means the entire thing has gathered more dust than Graham Linehan's events calendar. Basically, it's perfect.

[16:50] Pop your house here to spend your days collecting shrabapples and waking up sleepy peons to slightly always change. Another typical horde aesthetic that's found its way into the neighbourhood is the towering tauren bluffs.

[17:02] But if you're a cowboy or a rooseboy or just a dizzying heist enjoyer, which is the best windy perch for you? Plots 43 and 12 are probably the couple's choice, sharing a split-level peak. It's all very nice and dusty.

[17:14] Plot 27 is the most obvious choice because it's the highest. And when you're talking about bluffs, the higher the better, right? For me, the one true sundry bluff to make your home on is Plot 30.

[17:26] Because it's the only one that exists on a freestanding individual rock. Um, erection. Only accessible via bridges from other rocks with no way down. I mean, obviously there is a way down, but I mean no path down, you know what I mean.

[17:40] You get a watchtower from where you can survey the whole zone. You have no less than three rickety rope bridges as your soul means off and onto your trusty rock. Yeah, if I was a behorned grass-eating persuasion, this is the summit I'd be planting my totem for sure.

[17:54] So those are my personal favourite plots of Razor Wind Shores, but there are plenty more that I like too, like 45, which has its own firewatch lookout tower and is right next to the whole pier of flower market of all things.

[18:06] That's awesome. Plot 13 is one of my favourite chill beach spots, with a little jetty and just next door to a kiki bar and canoe school. But what about plot 9, which backs onto a nice stream with a waterfall? And yeah, it's a thing that Blizz never puts anything behind the waterfalls, and-

[18:20] Oh wait, oh no, because actually, there's a secret cave with loads of bones here! I call this the serial killer plot because they've got a whole bunch of skeletons sitting in the waterfall behind their house! What I'm saying is every plot in this zone is cool and unique in its own way,

[18:35] and that's been even more apparent since housing testing happened on the PTR last weekend. And we saw that with external decoration, your plot and how it feels really can be whatever you want it to be, regardless of where it's placed.

[18:48] So let us know in the comments below what you think of Razor Wind Shores. Where are you planning to make your home, and why? And thanks for joining us today. If you like this video, don't thank us, Thank our patrons, who give us their actual real-life money to make all of our work happen.

[19:03] And honestly, patrons, more than ever, thank you. Because without you, there would be a whole lot less Taliesin and Evertel. If you didn't like it, downvote the shit out of it. And remember, my name is Sparky.

[19:15] No, my name is Taliesin from me and Evertel. Until next time, here we go.
