AI Summary

This video is a comedic review of the trashiest anime of Summer 2026, presented as a restaurant menu where the host serves up various 'slop' dishes. The review covers a wide range of shows, from generic isekai and rom-coms to more unique entries, offering humorous and critical takes on each.

[00:01]
Introduction to the Trash Anime Review

The host sets up a comedic restaurant theme where viewers are served 'trash anime' dishes, promising a review of the hottest trash anime of the season.

[00:41]
Rich Girl Caretaker and Please Excuse My Younger Brothers

Two harumish comedies about kids changing schools and moving houses after parental decisions. Both feature protagonists living with their endgame love interests, but with different premises (one due to remarriage, the other due to a kidnapping).

[02:33]
Problematic Age Gap Anime

The host discusses a show with a problematic age gap between a high school girl and her centuries-old undead arch nemesis, who becomes a teacher at her school. The host notes the show 'made it weird'.

[03:23]
Hana Orson Still Wants to Fight in the Next Life

A reverse isekai at an elite girl's school, praised for its fresh perspective and animation. The host gives it five baskets of Red Lobster rolls, noting it's mostly jokes rather than genuine trashy tropes.

[04:33]
Black Torch and Tomb Raider King

Black Torch is a generic supernatural action show with some interesting character designs, earning four baskets of jalapeno bread. Tomb Raider King is compared to Solo Leveling but with more personality, earning three dumpsters of Jackie Chan adventures.

[09:10]
The Ogre's Bride

A show about a girl who is married off to an oni (demon) after being mistreated by her family. The host criticizes the underlying theme that a woman's value is based on who she marries, calling it 'validation slop'.

[11:56]
The Maid I Hired Recently Is Mysterious

A feminist validation slop where the protagonist dreams of being a maid and reincarnates into an otome game world. She uses her overpowered magic for housework, ignoring the main plot of saving the world.

[13:19]
The Forsaken Saint and the Foodie Road Trip

A slow-life food porn anime where the protagonist goes on a road trip with a magic camper van. The host criticizes the animation quality, calling the food 'turds on sticks'.

[15:12]
The Oblivious Saint Can't Contain Her Power

Another 'rich girl who is actually powerful' trope. The host criticizes the show for pausing after every plot beat to explain characters' feelings, which is annoying.

[16:05]
Second Reincarnation of a Talentless Sage

A generic isekai with a misleading title. The host notes it has some good points, like the elf's battle robe with a hip window, but criticizes the slave crest and overall lack of originality.

[18:05]
I Became a Legend After My 10-Year Long Last Stand

A light-hearted, low-stakes story about a guy who saved the world and now enjoys a peaceful life. The host appreciates the lack of contrived hardships and the confident character writing.

[19:58]
Villager Level 999

A forgettable generic litRPG show. The host criticizes the lack of satisfying character relationships and entertainment value, calling it 'sludge'.

[21:33]
The Frontier Lord Begins with Zero Subjects

A show with a protagonist who is OP and marries a 15-year-old for political reasons. The host praises the depth of the fantasy politics but notes the animation is underwhelming.

[22:51]
The Cat and the Dragon and Though I Am an Inept Villainess

Two gems: a wholesome fantasy romp and a body-swapping villainess tale. The latter is called the most underrated show of the season.

[23:19]
A Livid Lady's Guide to Getting Even

A revenge fantasy with a business management twist. The host praises the ultraviolence and the ethical slave sourcing subplot, calling it 'a shield hero for her'.

[25:02]
The World's Strongest Rear Guard

A show with a corporate wage slave protagonist who reincarnates with his ex-boss. The host criticizes the lack of edge and the harem elements, noting the best girl is a lizard woman's slave who doesn't talk.

[26:33]
The Smirky Dark Twins Adventurer

A show with a terrible poster and a convoluted royal succession plot. The host strongly advises not to watch it, calling it 'sludge'.

[28:10]
The Exiled Heavy Knight Knows How to Game the System

A numbers slop show with pacing issues and reused footage. The host criticizes the lack of progression and the underuse of a hot character, Malice.

[30:30]
Chain Smoker Cat

A disgusting anime about cat girls with terrible habits. The host praises its authentic portrayal of poverty and self-destruction, giving it a rating of 'Yaniko's apartment after she falls asleep smoking'.

[32:30]
Darasan of Raya

A horror-comedy about an ancient demigod who becomes friends with children. The host praises the blend of horror and comedy, calling it a potential masterpiece and giving it five gold dumpsters.

[37:03]
Kamoi, He's Behind You

A show about an exorcist who has sex with ghosts. The host praises the rock-solid fundamentals and the unhinged comedy, giving it two gold dumpsters of ectoplasm.

[39:54]
Flaming Dodgeball Girl Donko

A sequel to a dodgeball manga, described as the platonic ideal of an anime sequel. The host praises the insanity and gives it four gold dumpsters of fireworks.

The video concludes with a humorous wrap-up, offering a final selection of 'trash' for the viewer and a playful game. The overall takeaway is that while most of the season's anime are generic slop, there are a few hidden gems worth watching.

Platonic Ideal of an Anime Sequel

Flaming Dodgeball Girl Donko is described as the platonic ideal of a sequel, being bigger, crazier, and with more scantily clad girls.

39:54

[00:01] That's it. >> So, one spooky horny anime. I'm sorry, sir, but I'm afraid you must be more specific. Are you looking for a ancient snake goddess with massive gazongas? Or are you in more of aing ghosts back into

[00:16] the afterlife sort of mood? >> You'll think on it and call back. Very good, sir. Talk to you soon. Sorry to keep you waiting. We just rolled out our new delivery service and we're getting a lot of Who's that? Means we don't have

[00:28] to kidnap you anymore. Ha! Oh, you're funny. Now, we got a lot of trash to shovel down your gullet and only so much time before you can legally be declared missing. So, let's get shoveling, shall we? Starting as always with some nice

[00:41] light trashers. Tonight, we're offering a tasty pair of harumish comedies for him and her in Rich Girl Caretaker and Please Excuse My Younger Brothers. Both stories about nice, hard-working kids who find themselves unexpectedly

[00:56] changing schools and moving houses after their parents make some big life decisions for them. One could argue that Itto Chan's mom getting remarried is a slightly less big decision than Izzky son's deadbeat pieces of [ __ ]

[01:11] tuition money, leaving him completely hopeless had he not locked into saving the world's least self-sufficient billionaire Aerys from a kidnapping 5 minutes later. But both ultimately end in roughly the same place with Protag

[01:25] living in the same house as their obviously endgame love interest and also meeting some other cuties who just as obviously stand no chance. I mean, Itto does end up living alone with her bishy little brothers after mom and dad get

[01:39] suddenly relocated to Hokkaido. Whilst Izzky is under 247 surveillance by an army of servants under strict orders to cut his dick off if he tries anything. But other than that, it's basically the same deal. That deal being a goofy,

[01:53] character focused comedy driven by big personalities who make lots of funny personalities who make lots of funny faces.

[02:33] baskets of garlic bread. As trashy romcom concepts go though, monogamy plus type sort of harams got nothing on a good old-fashioned problematic age gap. problematic than that between an incredibly annoying high school girl and

[02:49] her centuries old undead arch nemesis from a past isekai life who really just games and watch anime. But she tells him if he doesn't become a productive member ass. So, I guess he's going to be a high school teacher now at her high school.

[03:04] Ah, darn it. They went and made it weird.

[03:23] time old tradition dating back to the Imperial Japanese propaganda cartoons where the cute talking animals did war crimes on Popeye. Though it is rare to see a series that actually comes at it from a fresh perspective, but Hana Orson

[03:37] still wants to fight in the next life manages to do just that. Coming at the classic elite private girl school setting from a novel reverse isekai angle that opens up all sorts of great jokes about all sorts of genres from

[03:50] isekai like you'd expect to yuri and even magical girls. Every time you think you got the show's stick figured out, it throws in something new to mix things up. And the animation on everything from the action to the comedy is just

[04:04] fantastic. That said, most of its trashy tropes are just jokes instead of, you know, the genuine article. And the double reincarnation age gap actually ends up canceling out the teacher student age gap if you really think

[04:17] about it. So, the most I can give it is five baskets of Red Lobster rolls. Oh, spicier before we dive into the real trash? Well, Black Torch is for the most part kind of a generic supernatural shown in action deal, albeit a pretty

[04:33] good one. Up front, really nothing to write home about. But if you look at it from a different angle, say low down and from the back, you might notice some very interesting details in its character and costume designs that

[04:47] distinguish it as a work for true men of culture. Enough to give it four baskets culture. Enough to give it four baskets of jalapeno bread. If big shownen energy and booty shorts are what you're looking for, look no further than Tomb Raider

[05:00] which isn't the first thing that we're throwing in our patented naros slop trough, but only on the technicality that it's based on a web tune rather than a web novel. A web tune that has quite a bit in common both art style and

[05:13] writing wise with that one other web tune about a guy who spends his whole life at the bottom of the Korean magic pocket dimension raiding food chain until a horribly deadly dungeon crawling disaster results in him becoming the

[05:26] only dungeon crawler on Earth who can see stat screens and gain exp. A solo leveler if you will. If only I could remember what that other web tune is called. But alas, everything I used to know about it has been pushed out of my

[05:40] brain by Tomb Raider King. Because the one big difference between them is that Tomb Raider King has an actual personality.

[06:06] numbers that keep getting bigger. He's a dashing, morally ambiguous rogue in the dashing, morally ambiguous rogue in the vein of Lupon III or Indiana Jones on a globe trotting quest to collect almighty magical relics before they fall into the

[06:19] hands of one of the greatest evils in the modern world, a Korean CEO. bringing not just hype aura, but a frantic improvisational energy to the table that makes him a hell of a lot more fun to watch than what's his face. And sure, he

[06:33] and that other guy may both end up dating badass blonde baddies, but only one of those baddies is literally Paris Hilton.

[06:49] natural charm required to fly to Japan and RZ up a teenager in order to separate her from her bodyguards using horny sentient bondage ropes and only way that he can stop her from being

[07:02] I forgot to mention earlier, but he's also a time traveler. Is it a good also a time traveler. Is it a good anime? It's fun. way more fun for me thing that either of these things really

[07:16] has going for them. So, that's why I personally like Tomb Raider King more and why I'm giving it three piping hot dumpsters full of Jackiechan adventures and Shaolin Showdown fanfiction. But how did a humble Korean tomb robber learn

[07:30] enough Japanese to ri up a teenager in the first place? This menu's sponsor, Rosetta Stone Sapphire, insists I tell you, they have no record of any Soju Han also, if he had, he wouldn't have had to flirt through Google Translate. But

[07:45] also, also, they really want me to emphasize that you shouldn't be using any of the 25 languages that you can start speaking today with Rosetta Stone Sapphire to hit on random people in other countries. You know, because

[07:57] that's kind of weird and might make people uncomfortable, but definitely not because you couldn't. After all, their comprehensive lesson plans are designed to teach you exactly the sort of broadly applicable realworld vocabulary that you

[08:10] need to navigate everyday conversations and forge real lasting bonds of and forge real lasting bonds of friendship or more across any of those multi-dimensional fluency by working on your grammar, pronunciation, listening,

[08:24] and writing skills all at once. So you can go beyond merely recognizing words to truly understanding them and the people who say them. And all the while, their true accent, voice recognition tech, and practice chat missions will

[08:39] help ensure that those people understand you back. It's a powerful tool that in a very real sense can expand your entire world. And it's also a pretty affordable tool if you click the link in the DOOBLY-DOO TO GET 25% OFF A yearly

[08:54] Rosetta Stone Sapphire membership starting at $15 with access to all 25 languages. But now it's finally time for you to dive into our patented Palunteer Naro Slop Trough. And this summer, the trough truly runth over with just as

[09:10] much girl trash as boy trash for once. Starting with a big hearty scoop of the ogre's bride, which actually comes from Navema, not Shosetska Ninaro, but slop is slop. So, in this anime's world, they got Yo-kai all over the place. But

[09:27] instead of haunting old buildings or stealing teenagers testicles or what have you, these Yo-kai run extremely profitable multinational corporations. And also, sometimes for no apparent reason, they'll point at a random human

[09:39] woman and say, "I love you. You are my wife now." And since they're all really hot and rich, that always goes over fine. It is in fact highly desirable to the point that some families who have two daughters, but only one of them got

[09:51] Yo-kai wife, will be all like, "Hey, not as good daughter. You're clearly never going to kiss a magic cajillionaire, so since your mouth is all useless and stuff, why don't you go scrub your sister's toilet with your toothbrush and

[10:03] such?" Yuzu is one such not as good daughter. so unvalued by her family that when her sister Karen's fox demon fiance lights her on [ __ ] fire, her parents are just like, "Well, you wouldn't be on fire if you hadn't talked back, dummy."

[10:19] But then when she's running around town crying about that happening, a guy points to her and says, "I love you. You're my wife now." And it's not just You're my wife now." And it's not just any guy. It's an onie, the tippity top

[10:31] of the Yo-kai food chain. But it's also not just any onie. It's the heir to the biggest oni corporation in the whole ding-dang country. So now she gets to live in a big [ __ ] off mansion while her nice grandparents get a whole mess of

[10:45] money and her parents get absolutely nothing except a valuable lesson that you should never be mean to your daughter for failing to land a hot rich BF because you never know when she'll suddenly land the hottest richest BF and

[10:59] for absolutely no other reason. Okay, I guess you could argue that the Fox BFF guess you could argue that the Fox BFF is hotter in this one scene.

[11:12] will light other mans on fire, but not enough to kill them. Clearly, this goes right in the lonely slop bin. It is also kind of validation slop with all the suck on that mom and dad moments, but like that aspect is a little bit

[11:26] undermined by the underlying theme of the story being women's only value is how far up they can marry. Not to mention the scene where Yuzu thanks her parents for abusing her for the last 16 years right before going to move in with

[11:40] her husband. Like bro and people call Poru Fruits Basket a doormat. I, for one, prefer more feminist validation slop that says a woman can be whatever she wants to be, especially if what she wants to be is not a heroine or a saint,

[11:56] but an all works made and proud of it. Ritsko Mizunami has dreamed of wearing that frilly apron all her life, applying every ounce of her prodigious intellect and studying efforts toward becoming the best housekeeper on the planet Earth.

[12:11] But right before she can make that dream a reality, a plane crash sends her away from Earth and into another world. The world of some Otoé game that she's never heard of because she was too busy training to be a maid to play dating

[12:25] Sims. It's not all bad news, though. Turns out her new isekai mom is a maid herself. And what's more, the newly reborn Celeste McMurdan is actually the protagonist of that Otoé game she's never heard of. a position that comes

[12:39] with all sorts of unfathomably mighty magic powers that turn out to be super duper handy for housework. They're also apparently pretty handy for defeating the demon king and diverting the prophecied end of the world. But Celeste

[12:52] is having too much fun cleaning up dusty old mansions and cooking insanely sort of thing. Much to the chagrin of the guy and girl who reincarnated as the love interest and villainess respectively of that Otoé game that they

[13:06] actually both had heard of prior to being uh all dead and stuff who would very much like to not be all dead and stuff again at the hands of a bunch of demons in a year or so. But hey, maybe she'll get to it when she's done mcking

[13:19] out the bathroom. Lucky for our next iside heroine, there's another OP maiden of destiny in her world who can pick up the slack of saving it while the forsaken saint is busy on her foodie road trip. Free from any obligations

[13:32] after the king cuts her loose cuz he can't think of any military applications for her magic camper van that can turn invisible, is bigger on the inside, and also the fridge contains infinite food. He might be a little bit stupid, but

[13:46] it's not her country and that's not her problem anymore. She just gets to camp out and cook out wherever the heck she wants in this big beautiful fantasy land until a big beautiful fantasy man washes up at her campsite and invites her to be

[14:00] his adventuring party's traveling cook which she says yes to because he's really hot. Then she meets his party who are also really hot and says to them, "Fuck yeah, I get to hang out with so many hot people. Fantasy worlds are so

[14:15] much better than the real world." out loud to their faces as like literally the first thing that she says to any of them, prompting at least half of them to start planning the orgy. And uh that's about where I stopped watching to to

[14:28] start writing this. Don't get it twisted. Slow life food porn with a side of bisexual anime. I candy sounds like an ideal combo meal for me to start selling at this restaurant that we're in. But I do feel like the food porn

[14:43] aspect loses a bit of its appeal when the yaki tory looks like turds on sticks. And uh while we're offering animation critiques, the eye candy could also stand to be a little less lumpy and misshapen all the time. Obviously, this

[14:59] one's lonely slop and not very good. And so is the oblivious saint can't contain her power. Yet another anime about a rich girl who isn't good at magic, but her sister is good at magic. So, she gets bullied a lot until she's sent away

[15:12] and discover that she is actually good at magic after all. The goodest even. In other words, one of those things, but for girls. Despite the title, it does actually take a whole episode and a half

[15:24] for the power the oblivious saint can't contain to show itself. But not because this is some sort of carefully paced slowb burn story. I mean, that same episode goes from carefree wedding planning to, oh no, a bandit attack to,

[15:38] "Oh no, the only named side characters dying in front of me in the space of literally 3 minutes." The show just has kind of a bad habit of pausing after literally every plot beat so the characters can explain exactly how they

[15:51] feel about whatever just happened in exhaustive detail. YOU CAN'T JUST HAVE YOUR CHARACTERS ANNOUNCE HOW THEY FEEL. That makes me feel angry. Now, that is quite a lot of girl trash all in a row. But for any of our male patrons who are

[16:05] feeling left out, worry not. We got plenty of terrible writing to go around. From overshadowed to overpowered, second reincarnation of a talentless sage is one of the least accurate title paragraphs I've seen on an isekai. But

[16:20] in fairness, from fourth most overpowered guy alive to most overpowered guy alive, second reincarnation of a sage whose blatantly self-evident talents couldn't be quantified by one standardized test is

[16:33] slightly more of a mouthful than you see on most light novel covers. So, I understand why they fudged it a bit. And hey, let's be real. If you're watching title sucked you in. It's because you saw a clip of some gratuitous

[16:47] silver-haired elf assass on twitter.com and thought, "Ah, just what I needed to hold out until ReZero's back." And you know what? It's even got some stuff going for it that Re:Zero doesn't. Like the elf is wearing a battle robe with a

[17:01] hip window instead of skin-tight spandex. And for some reason, she casts spandex. And for some reason, she casts spells like this.

[17:24] following the Kyito around with a magic slave crest on it for the freaks who thought Rafalia's placement was too subtle. And hey, if you do like ass, this anime has got even more of it for you with its entire story, in which

[17:38] magic standards have declined by at least four whole spell levels in the time since Prot Tag died, even though at least one person from back then is still alive and actually runs a magic school where people should be learning those

[17:51] higher level spells from her. And you know this Kyito is making a beline for that magic school with his sex slave as soon as he's done murdering his evil the magic they could ever teach him and then some. Cuz what the else is a

[18:05] reincarnated wizard in an anime going to do? Something creative and original. Pure validation slop. Now, at first glance, you might think I became a legend after my 10-year long last stand belongs in that bin, too. But actually,

[18:19] this one merely uses the aesthetics of competence porn to adorn its lonely slop story of a guy who spent the best years of his life saving the world from demons best friend's daughter thanks to the miraculous deaging properties of an

[18:35] obscure interaction between the drain touch spell and the demon king, which said friend seems to be totally fine with. And in fact, if he wasn't married he'd be banging Pro Tag himself, cuz that's just the kind of bromance they

[18:48] got going. And it is lovely to see. Though that said, Protag might also end up banging a vampire hunting werewolf girl, or maybe even this fem fiend who happens to be the high priest of an almighty holy rooster. He's got options

[19:01] is the point, and time at long last to really think them through. Not to say there's nothing else pressing on his mind. The demon king he spent 10 years fighting was, it seems, just the vanguard of some unfathomably ancient

[19:15] and mighty outer gods whose vampiric servants still scheme to bring them into this world even now. But I mean, bro, canonically killed tens of thousands of demons literally in his sleep. So, the world's probably going to be fine. And

[19:30] that is exactly what makes this anime so appealing. It's light-hearted, low stakes, and confident enough in its character writing that it doesn't feel the need to subject its hero to a bunch of inexplicable bullying, slander, and

[19:44] other contrived hardships just to trick us into sympathizing him. We just get to watch a cool, fun guy with cool, fun friends go on some cool, fun adventures in a cool, fun world that's already mostly saved. A very nice contrast to

[19:58] your typical generic lit RPG type thing. On that note, far and away the most generic lit RPG type thing this season generic lit RPG type thing this season has got to be Villager level 999. A show

[20:10] so forgettable that until I picked it back up for this roast, I forgot that episode 1 ends with a 12-year-old girl asking the hero to marry her.

[20:25] that he's not into children at the start of episode two, but I don't know, man. And if you write a situation where your protag has to say those specific words out loud, I feel like some serious mistakes have already been made. Though

[20:37] not quite as serious is the decision to rip off One Punch Man, but then instead of having the protag prove everyone who underestimates him wrong by explode punching 50tory T-Rexes, he just uh shows them his stat screen and they're

[20:51] number. I've never seen a number that big. I didn't even know numbers could get that big. You must be super strong." Does that make the show as a whole number slop? I I guess the idea that the shittiest class in the world has an exp

[21:05] about cuz they're too busy running away from monsters that they suck at fighting is kind of interesting in theory. And the show certainly doesn't have any satisfying character relationships or entertaining moments of competence porn

[21:19] going for it. At the end of the day though, the numbers are nearly as sauceless as that other stuff. And as we all know, slop needs to be at least 50% sauce or else it's sludge. So, I think we just got to keep this one out of the

[21:33] trough altogether. Speaking of child brides, though, the frontier lord begins with zero subjects is actually a lot better than that segue might lead you to believe. I mean, sure, Protag is a super OP monster murdering machine who has a

[21:47] 15-year-old indigenous girl from the tribe he's been sent to colonize throwing herself at him by the end of episode 1. But it's not like he actually asked for any of that. And after marrying the teenager, for entirely

[22:00] political, canonically platonic reasons, most of what he actually does with his power and status is like taking in orphans and refugees, working to dismantle racism and slavery, and being really nice to his pet sheep. What

[22:13] impressed me the most though is the depth and subtlety of the fantasy politics happening offcreen, which is kind of where they have to happen since the show is set in the middle of nowhere and basically its only plot delivery

[22:25] method is some guy showed up to tell us what's going on right now. Fine enough structure for a novel, but a little underwhelming to see animated enough to make this otherwise well-written bit of validating lonely slop fall short of its

[22:39] potential as an implied narrow gem. Though that's not to say this season's without its gems. The Cat and the Dragon is a wholesome, cuddly little fantasy romp that feels like a fairy tale come to life. And though I am an inept

[22:51] villainess, puts a fun body swapping spin on an addictive tale of inner palace intrigue that is easily the single most underrated thing in the single most underrated thing in the entire summers to watch video uh that

[23:04] some YouTuber who has nothing to do with me made. This is a restaurant. Now, if you want to see a villainess be an actual villainess, a livid lady's guide to getting even may just be the slop for you. But you are going to have to wait

[23:19] for her to corner the market on luxury soaps first. Worry not, it's all part of the revenge plot. But you do really have to trust the process with this one. The shift from this Kiri Tess breaking out of jail with crazy magic powers and

[23:33] vowing bloody revenge on the whole dang kingdom ruled by her cheating [ __ ] prince fiance to explaining the intricacies of marketing prestige cosmetic brands for the ultra wealthy is a little jarring. But with just a little

[23:47] bit of patience, you'll be right back to watching psycho nuns beating subhuman watching psycho nuns beating subhuman bandits to death before you know it.

[24:04] ultraviolence on offer in this batshit insane edge lady revenge fantasy. In a season this packed, I can only taste test so many episodes of each dish. But I have heard the phrase turning dudes into spaghetti thrown around in regards

[24:19] to later episodes. And lest you worry that business management side of the story has its edges sanded down, I can personally attest that episode 4 is personally attest that episode 4 is about why proper edge ladies only source

[24:32] the highest quality slaves from the most ethical traders, even if it costs a little more upfront. Finally, a shield hero for her. So yeah, that's a whole bin of blood and razor blades right in the validation slot bucket. And you know

[24:47] what? I think the economic aspects are robust enough to count it as number slop, too. But where are the edge lords this season, huh? Are only woke girl bosses allowed to own slaves and turn dudes into spaghetti these days? Sadly,

[25:02] that does seem to be the case. The only isekai guy who even thinks about buying a person this season is the world's strongest rear guard. And it's not even for revenge or cuz he was pushed out of regular society or any excuse like that.

[25:16] He just gets some free slave rental coupons from the Isizakai Immigration Bureau as compensation for kind of [ __ ] up his class registration. And it turns out the slave rental service is really just a care facility for

[25:29] adventurers who died in the dungeon and were reborn as mute amnesiac demihumans. So it doesn't even have to get into apologetics for realworld atrocities to excuse WHAT HE'S DOING. WHAT a ripoff. Now, you'd think that with Protag being

[25:43] a corporate wage slave who reincarnated alongside his ex boss, there'd at least be some, you know, chance for misogynistic revenge fantasies or something like that. But nah, she just really wants to him, as do all of the

[25:57] halfozen teenagers who join his party in the first three episodes. So, basically, they just put an office romcom in your isekai harum so you can gobble trash while you're trash goblin. And in case you were wondering who best girl is,

[26:11] it's the lizard woman's slave because she doesn't talk.

[26:33] slot that's making the bin. In fairness though, I probably shouldn't have expected all that much edgginess or anything for that matter from a show where the artists couldn't even be bothered to finish compositing the

[26:46] poster. Surely we'll have better luck with the poster that has a yin-yang coded pair of twins. Sonic Adventure 2 posing in front of the way Western Man meme. I mean, the smirky dark twins adventurer alter ego looks like freaking

[27:00] zero code guillos metalfaced xenolade. So, he's got to be at least a little cool, right? No. But it is pretty funny watching him argue with his own magic sock puppet about how much he sucks to throw off any suspicion that he is that

[27:16] throw off any suspicion that he is that adventurer guy.

[27:30] into a convoluted royal succession plotline that as a fantasy politics junkie, I honestly could not give less of a [ __ ] about. It is so bad. Do not watch this anime. The only thing the alter ego thing even adds to the plot

[27:45] are a bunch of scenes where he wastes time pretending not to be the guy we all know he is instead of just getting to the fights already. and the fights also. I mean, just look at this [ __ ] It's terrible. So, yeah. Uh, this sludge does

[27:57] not even make the bins. Even with that excluded though, there is a whole mess of slop in here this season. So much that you're probably wondering how you're ever going to keep a main course down. But thankfully, we did think of

[28:10] that with our final drop into numbers slop. The exiled heavy knight knows how slop. The exiled heavy knight knows how to game the system.

[28:34] susceptible to motion sickness, but that's what our first main course is for. And hey, even if you can keep this thing down, there's just not that much to it. The rigorous demands of Gohan's extremely unique animation style have

[28:48] led to a rather anemic anime padded out by more reused footage than your average arc of One Piece, which is kind of a shame cuz the progression part of this progression fantasy is surprisingly satisfying. And it would be nice if it

[29:01] actually, you know, progressed every week. The show's biggest sin, though, is introducing one of the hottest animated women I have ever seen in my life and doing absolutely all with her. I mean, Shield Hero had Princess Bitchor on that

[29:15] Team Rocket beat, popping in practically every other episode to stir up some [ __ ] And yet, with over half the core already out, all Heavy Knights managed to do with Malice is let the camera lick her tummy once and have her stop to turn

[29:29] and sneer at Protag no less than four times in two minutes.

[29:52] And due to the pacing issues, it only feels like we've gone three episodes with no best girl. But that much less attractive lady who ruined now Fumi's life would have blasted off again at least twice in the same amount of

[30:04] content. And like the clown wife who's not bad, I guess. She's pretty cute and fun. Even definitely better than that raccoon girl doormat. But when you offer me a filet minan only to bait and switch it out with a McDonald's burger. Of

[30:17] course, I'm going to be disappointed. Even if it is an Alberta Western barbecue quarter pounder. Man, I miss that burger. Just thinking about it. It's making me hungry. We got a fix for that though.

[30:30] There. Appetite gone. Chain Smoker Cat is a disgusting anime about disgusting people with disgusting habits. Dumb [ __ ] with terrible taste who will never change and will never improve. And that is a promise. It's not entirely

[30:46] their fault. Japan isn't exactly tripping over itself to give beast folk equal rights and opportunities in this world. At times with all the [ __ ] they go through and all the [ __ ] that very rapidly and violently goes through them,

[31:01] it's hard not to feel sorry for these chain smoking, heroin shooting, binge drinking gamer raging cat girls. But then at other times, you watch Yanico make a drowning child wait for her to finish her cigarette before diving in to

[31:15] save him. And it's just as hard not to feel like she kind of deserves basically all of it. a victim of society she may be, but she's also very much a victim of herself. And so are basically all of the people unlucky enough to know her. And

[31:31] it's that one-two combo of inescapable economic circumstance and endless own goals that really makes the Shoden Freuda hit different here. If you came in hoping for a thoughtful, empathetic portrayal of the horrors of poverty and

[31:47] the start where the cute talking animal does war crimes to her toilet. But just because it's not nice doesn't mean it's not an authentic portrayal. And the funny thing about horror is when it happens to someone you don't like.

[32:16] this show has me rolling on the floor with every single episode. And the best part for me personally is it comes with its own rating built in. I give it Yaniko's apartment after she falls asleep smoking. Horror and comedy also

[32:30] go handin hand in our second entree of the evening. Darasan of Raya. Yamatagi Madara is an ancient demigod of vast power and unquenchable wrath whose

[32:42] lingering resentment alone is enough to inflict agony beyond human comprehension on its unsuspecting victims. a terrible curse born of centuries old malice

[32:54] straight out of the kind of J horror movies that give you nightmares for weeks. So naturally, when an earthquake loosens the seal on her mountain and a pair of unwitting children stumble into her domain, they decide she's their best

[33:09] her domain, they decide she's their best friend now and also her name is Darasan.

[33:24] aggressively mid, wildly popular kids anime about a cute little alien guy who lives with this whiny loser and lets him [ __ ] around with all his wacky alien gadgets every week. I only bring it up because several much better anime and

[33:37] manga have been born from the premise of what if Dion was kind of up though, including Takop's Original Sin and Dead Demons King Ded. It's a fantastic hook Demons King Ded. It's a fantastic hook for scary riveting drama. But Darusan

[33:51] manages to bring that hook all the way back around to comedy again by instead asking, "What if something up became a Dimon?" Also, what if that something was a massive naggi monster girl with even more massive gazongas innies if you're

[34:06] not a patron and a very carefree relationship with the concept of relationship with the concept of clothes? The answer is its [ __ ] peak.

[34:36] me both laugh my ass off and genuinely give a [ __ ] about their lore. The last one I can think of is probably Hinamatsery. And the two sides really go hand in hand. The fact that the horror is so effective that the scary bits are

[34:51] genuinely scary only makes it funnier that these kids are so unbothered by all of it. that this cross-dressing little scamp only thinks of the massive man-eating snake lady that has terrorized his hometown for generations

[35:05] as the nice neighbor with the even nicer titties that she's not shy about him seeing the second one of those that he has in fact and far and away the less has in fact and far and away the less scary one Actually,

[35:37] Darasan is still pretty old-fashioned in some ways. What really elevates this one to full-on gold dumpster status, though, is how the comedy in turn feeds back into the horror. Darasan has been through some truly awful [ __ ] As you

[35:53] learn more about her from episode to episode, it gets pretty hard to blame her for hating several generations of everyone in this [ __ ] hole town to death. If I went through what she went through, I'd be mad as for centuries,

[36:07] too. But centuries and even millennia do pass given enough time. Life goes on and every day that you're alive or trapped in a cursed state of semideic undeath is

[36:19] in a cursed state of semideic undeath is a new chance to move on and live on. It took a while, but Dra has genuinely managed to put her pain behind her so she can face the Raywa era with fresh snake eyes. And there's something truly

[36:33] beautiful in that. Low key, this might be a masterpiece. Just don't tell the they're going to bust me for an anime where it's this obvious the mangaka used where it's this obvious the mangaka used to do H stuff. Dear Haruhi, are there

[36:47] ever some nice and varied titties on display here? Five gold dumpsters. Easy. This is why I do it, folks. This is the trash I weighed through all that garbage for that. And for entirely different reasons, Kamoi, he's behind you. the

[37:03] anime about the guy who [ __ ] ghosts to death. Again, no, I'm not playing a clip. There's hardly any clips I can show of this anime, at least from the aside. It's not so much a fulllength show as two short anime in a trench

[37:17] coat, and the gag anime half where the ghosts all hang out in bars and chat about stuff is perfectly advertiser safe, according to the restaurant association. But the other half of the anime has quite a bit of, you know,

[37:32] ghosting, which is a little iffy on the content guidelines. But where Kamu is not iffy is in its Exorcist battle anime fundamentals. Those are rock solid. Right away, we establish the strengths and weaknesses of our hero's power set.

[37:48] And before the end of the first episode, we're already testing its limits with interesting enemy matchups. For example, lots of ghosts have no lower half. How's lots of ghosts have no lower half. How's aorcist supposed to deal with that? In

[38:02] the ear. That's how. Still not showing clips, especially not that one. The sheer audacity of it all carries this show quite a ways. And the quality of

[38:14] the content doesn't hurt either, but it's the other main character who really gives it its legs. And also, her personality does a lot for the story and comedy. Shizuka Mimizuka is your standard horror anime ghost magnet girl

[38:28] in many ways. Above standard in two pretty obvious ones, who needs Kamoi to keep her safe from all the spooky [ __ ] that's constantly happening, just as he needs her to help him find new material for his um bank of certain

[38:44] kinds of images. I'm not sure if I'm allowed to say it, but um the gist of it allowed to say it, but um the gist of it is Bustin really makes him feel good. So, their dynamic is that of a teenage part-timer and her pervert boss, but

[38:58] since he's a necroile instead of the thing that rhymes with that, at least thing that rhymes with that, at least not with living kids. It ends up being not with living kids. It ends up being just barely okay. And just barely okay

[39:10] is where some of the finest and most unhinged comedy lives. Every episode, we and Shizuka think that [ __ ] can't possibly get crazier than all the ghost [ __ ] we saw last week. And every episode without fail, we are proven

[39:26] wrong. One week he's got a Ouija board moaning. The next we find out what that Roku Rokabe's neck do. And the one after that we're doing a Toy Story riff. It that we're doing a Toy Story riff. It never lets up. It is always hilarious.

[39:40] And I'm giving it two gold dumpsters full of ectoplasm. That's what that is. What marking on the dumpster? Shut up. But before we let you go, of course, no meal is complete without a sweet treat at the end. And tonight's dessert is

[39:54] just as dectable as our main courses. Flaming dodgeball girl Donko is a Flaming dodgeball girl Donko is a Borutoesque sequel to Dodge Dante, a cuckoo for Cocoa Puffs9s sports manga that is to throwing balls around a gym

[40:09] what Beyblade is to spinning tops in a bowl with the philosophy of this sequel basically being let's do that again but bigger, crazier, and with more scantily

[40:21] clad girls this time. Basically the platonic ideal of an anime sequel.

[40:40] having inherited her dad's very shownen dodgeball philosophy of always play your hardest no matter how many people might get hurt. Something I suspect is tied to how he's already dead by the start of the series with his grave looming large

[40:56] over the entire story. Like literally, it's in the background of every scene. It's basically the show's Mount Fuji. But of course, no matter how cool an ace is, she's nothing without her team. And

[41:08] each of the other dodgeball girls brings their own unique talent to the table. From long flexible limbs that can dodge any assault to a sharp analytical mind that can copy any technique to massive shockabsorbing titties that make

[41:23] catching even the hardest throws a breeze to literally just cheating.

[41:40] after the other dodgeball team's dedicated cheater uses the steroids that dedicated cheater uses the steroids that make you fly.

[41:55] It is the closest I've seen a kids anime come to Metabots's level of insanity in decades. A cry and shame there's no legal way to watch it, but that won't stop me from giving it four gold dumpsters full of fireworks. With that,

[42:11] we've reached the end of tonight. Oh, sorry. Shay garbage. You'll take the titty snake and the ghost [ __ ] Excellent choice, sir. And a human

[42:23] gallbladder. I'm afraid that we've discontinued that side of our street. >> How much? Well, I am still in contact with our

[42:35] supplier, so I'll see what we can do. I'll see what we can do. Messuto chloroform omote kurasai. Was calling you chauffeur. Nothing to worry about. But hey, you know, while we're

[42:51] waiting, why don't we play a little game? Put a finger down if you've ever had a gall stone before. Okay, do it.
