How I Made $24,000 in 30 Days as a TikTok Shop Affiliate

[00:00] hey sis welcome back to my channel you know I'm all about making money but working smarter and not harder so today on money making Mondays we're going to talk about how I tried Tik Tock affiliate program for 30 days and made

[00:16] $24,000 and we're going to go right into it cuz I know the first question you're probably asking did you make $24,000 as an affiliate meaning you took that home that was your commission or did you make $24,000 as a seller meaning you sold a

[00:32] product and that's how much money you made after selling a product on Tik Tok shop and I made $24,000 as a tick tock shop affiliate

[00:44] meaning I sold other brands products and after I promoted those products on Tik Tok people purchased those products from those Brands and the brand gave me a commission for each product that was sold after a person used my link so as

[01:01] you can imagine I made those Brands a lot of money I actually made the brands over $270,000 in 30 days so even though I took home 24 which is still a great amount I just want to paint that bigger

[01:17] picture because Brands took home over 270,000 from me using my ugc skills creating these amazing videos that resulted in commission sales of

[01:30] $244,000 in 30 days now that we know what the Tik Tok affiliate program is how you're able to make money after recommending other sellers products and getting a commission for it now let's talk about how I was able to set it up

[01:46] now the steps that I took to set up my Tik Tok shop are because I already had more than 5,000 subscribers that is a qualification to set up Tik Tok shop is Crystal but what if I don't have 5,000 don't worry about it next Monday I'm

[02:03] have 5,000 followers because I set up both I set up one Tik Tok shop under my current profile with my 20K followers and then I set up a brand new Tik Tok

[02:17] shop with zero followers but for those steps and that data and information we'll cover that next Monday on money making Monday today we're just going to cover what actually happened the first 30 days on Tik Tok shop being an

[02:33] affiliate with my primary count that had 20 7,000 followers at the time to set up your Tik Tok shop if you have the 5,000 you're going to first click on the

[02:46] little hamburger in the top right hand corner after you click on that hamburger you're going to click on Creator tools from there you'll have two options do you want to set up a Tik Tock shop for a Creator or Tik Tok shop for a seller

[02:59] again you do not need to set up the seller account unless you plan on selling products on Tik Tok shop or I knew that I wasn't going to sell any type of products I just wanted to make money so I set up the Tik Tok shop for

[03:12] the affiliate and that's the link that I clicked once you click that link it's and then within 15 minutes minimum and 48 Hours maximum you'll get a reply

[03:25] saying that you have been approved if you do not get approved they will let you know why and usually it's because some misinformation is not given you weren't able to identify who you are and so forth once I was given access in the

[03:38] first thing I did was I went to the Tik Tock shop marketplace now that I started to go through the marketplace though I had to figure out which products I wanted but also if I wanted to Niche down did I only want to promote products

[03:52] from the home industry did I only want to promote Fitness Products or did I just want to be a jack of all trades and just promote any and everything with no type of Niche possible just here's the product give me my money and as you

[04:06] guessed it I chose the ladder I decided to promote any and everything I knew that it would come off a bit spammy to my current 27k followers but my thing was for me to be able to give you an honest video on if this could actually

[04:20] work I wanted to just go all in and so that's what I did I promoted any and everything on Tik Tok shop for commission sales so once I determined that was going to be the game plan I went throughout my house and I tried to

[04:34] find products that I could actually sell that I already had because a lot of the Tik Tok shop products are also on Amazon and I got tons of Amazon products because I am an Amazon affiliate because I did not want to buy a product even

[04:47] though they gave me a coupon once you are approved you'll get a nice coupon that'll pretty much make your next your first purchase relatively low or free I that shi shipping and all that will take about 2 weeks and I wanted to get that

[05:02] full month's worth of data and so after I had all of these products that were in my house that I actually found them on Tik Tock shop in the product Marketplace by simply searching their names remember Tik Tok is just like Google they have

[05:17] search engine optimization so I was able to find each product by searching the market place very easily and so the first product I started with was my

[05:29] airpot Max dupes do I have those hold on guys let me actually grab those be right back okay so these are not actual airpod Maxes believe it or not they look just

[05:42] like it but they're not uh these cost $10 and so I decided to I have my iPad down here ignore this I decided to start with these because I had watched a lot

[05:55] of Tik Tok Shop videos and a lot of the videos that were going going viral were headphone videos not just these headphones in particular but just headphones and so since I already had these I said why not start with that

[06:08] video and so I posted my first video and guess what guys it did not go viral like it did nothing it generated zero sales and so then I said well let me go back to the drawing board let me look to see let me actually go back and watch all of

[06:25] the viral videos that I had saved because I created um I created a saved folder on my Tik Tock account called Tik Tock shop and any video that was pretty much performing very well I just saved it into that

[06:40] account so I started to go through that saved folder just to see what the videos had in comment if anything and one thing I noticed was that a lot of people who responded to comments their videos were actually performing better and they were

[06:54] getting more traffic so I went to one of the comments that I had received from my first video that I posted and I responded to a girl's comment I simply shouldered the headphones you know what matter of fact let's play a snippet of

[07:06] the video I won't play the whole thing cuz it's about 3 minutes long just so you can get an idea of how basic the video was it was just a true testimonial video of me talking about the headphones and showing her how they worked but

[07:22] responding to her comment here you [Music] go okay watch this y'all hear it in the

[07:38] bathroom I'm already chosen okay y'all get the point hold up okay as you can see that video is a really basic video but guess what it got

[07:50] over 5.4 million views and made me over $10,000 the commission for the headphones was about a doar and maybe 20 cents and I sold so many it's just

[08:03] ridiculous but I was able to make $110,000 alone just from some airpot Max knockoffs and from a video that I just showed up authentically as me now from

[08:17] here I decided to leverage that data I started to pitch different people on Tik Tok shop mind you I start to get it flooded with offers like my my inbox is ridiculous I get any anywhere from 15 to 30 emails a day from the Tik Tok shop

[08:34] from people from sellers saying can you sell our products I didn't want to answer any of those um I wanted to make sure that I only got products that I could actually use around my house so I took that data and I started to pitch

[08:47] different people um for example we needed a new bed so I pitched a mar life and said hey in one week I sold $150,000 for a brand on Tik Tok shop I

[09:00] know I can do the same for your brand can I have a free bed and can I have a higher commission and with that strategy alone I was able to get a new bed I was able to redecorate my entire room we got a new

[09:14] bed frame we got mirrors we got lamps we got nightstands I've got a milk maker I got so many products it's ridiculous my house is covered in packages but I'm going to be able to use all of the

[09:28] products simply because cuz I made sure I only said yes to products that I really needed for my house now when we review my second month of Tik Tok shop cuz I started October 25th to be exact when we get to my second month which is

[09:42] November to December we're going to talk about how I up the ante and stopped taking free collab so I stopped asking for free products and exchange for a Tik Tok Shop video and I started saying hey I'll be more than happy to make the

[09:57] video for you but but I'm going to need a base of $300 I'm going to need a higher commission and I'm going to be a and I'm going to need time to post this video because one of the things I ran into my first month was me feeling very

[10:11] overwhelmed because I had due dates for videos so I have all these products my email they're messaging me on Tik Tok when's the video coming when you're

[10:24] going to post it is it going to post before Black Friday is it going to post stressed overall I'm not going to lie to you and so I realized going into month two I need to set the terms for myself and the terms for me is I need a base

[10:42] rate I need to give you a date that's comfortable with me when posting so even if the product comes on Monday the 1st I'm going to look at my calendar and tell you also I need $300 base and I'm not posting the video until the 20th of

[10:59] boundaries for month two was a game Cher and we'll cover that when I give you my month two review in a couple of weeks because next Monday I'm walking you

[11:11] through setting up your Tik Tok shop if you have less than 5,000 subscribers so a thumbs up likes really help guys now that I have all these products coming in

[11:23] that I negotiated I just started making true authentic videos of me just showing up giving testimonial I did also start to do voiceover videos where I would just record me using the products and then doing a voiceover but

[11:37] I did notice the ones that perform the best the ones where I gave an actual demonstration or you saw me talking about the product even if I didn't have it those videos with the overlay towards the end of the month really started to

[11:52] take off you'll see here with this video I didn't even own the coat at the time the brand was supposed to send it to me it was taking a while I needed a new product to promote and so I decided to just say that the cult was amazing point

[12:08] to it added in as an overlay or even a green screen when I put it behind me or in front of me and as you can see it got over a million views and is one of my best sellers to date I still make at least $100 to $200 from that video that

[12:23] I posted in October November and I didn't own the product and you did hear me say I did not own the product right I'm saying that because I don't want someone on here thinking oh I have to have all these products no a lot of the

[12:35] videos that took off for me my first month I didn't even own the product they were in route via shipping or some of them I just said hey I don't even want need an extra product because we live in a two bed right now we'll be moving to a

[12:52] three bed this week but it's just too many products it's just too much junk and I'm a very minimalist person person and so I only want products that I can use so I'm big on let me promote the product to get the cash but I don't need

[13:05] the product itself responding to comments giving my testimonials and adding those green screens and overlays I was able to make $24,000 in commissions my first month on Tik Tock shop now I did eventually start to get a

[13:18] lot of free products from Tik Tok shop without having to talk to sellers so if selling you will qualify for free samples on the Tik Tok shop and that's

[13:30] where the seller just sends you the sample for free in exchange for a video and you get to post a video on your time now the one thing that I did notice during this month since I did have two accounts remember I had the account that

[13:42] was my primary account that had over 5,000 followers and then I have my zero follower account and I noticed the difference in sales for these accounts depended on how frequently I post it so my main account made more but I was

[13:58] posting anywhere from 3 to four videos every single day my first month on the primary account for Tik Tok shop on the secondary account that's actually a sellers account that has zero followers I was posting about three times a week

[14:12] so you're looking at anywhere from 12 to 25 videos on my primary to three maybe five on the secondary backup account and so my sales were heavy or more on this

[14:25] primary account than my secondary account so consistency is something that I did notice plays a huge role in how much money you can make on Tik Tok shop had zero followers I'm averaging about $1,000 to $1,500 every single month on

[14:43] that account that I post about three to five times a week now that you have a gist on how I set up the Tik Tok shop how I got my products how I promoted the products and negotiate it let's go into the things that I noticed that actually

[14:57] worked and the the things that didn't work so if you decide to start your account you'll be able to avoid all of the mistakes that I made and hopefully have an even more successful month than I did the first thing that I would say

[15:09] that worked for me on Tik Tok shop was being my true authentic self like there's days I had no makeup on my hair is not comb my house looks crazy because we're packing to go to the east coast like I just showed up as me girl I even

[15:25] added a filter one day my filter wasn't even on correctly people was clowning me like your lashes is moving why you got to filter on but let me tell you something every time they left those comments that's engagement I didn't even

[15:37] care best believe I recorded the next couple of videos with my filter being crazy as well just for the engagement so showing up as who I am talking like I talk not trying to be somebody that I wasn't really worked in my favor because

[15:52] I feel like people didn't feel like I was trying to sell them on products they felt like they was talking to a h girl like I talked to to y'all hey sis right Tok shop just be you I promise you it'll pay off in the long run the next thing I

[16:10] noticed is really using those green screens and overlays when I didn't have a product really helped the video Stay really engaging when I would do a green screen I would have I would be talking in front of the green screen behind me

[16:22] and it would just be moving and changing to different images of the product if it was a overl that was coming in front of me as I was talking in the videos I would have it fly in I would have the swish sound and a lot of animations that

[16:37] really did work if you want a step-by-step tutorial on how to do green screens or overlays for your reals or Tik Tok Shop videos or even just your Tik toks leave that comment below I'll be more than happy to make a video about

[16:52] that the third thing that worked for me on Tik Tok shop is once a video started to get traffic I'm talking about about the first 5 minutes it has about a th000 views typ of trffic once I noticed that oh your girl sto what she was doing I

[17:07] don't care if I was at the grocery store driving picking up my son it didn't matter I stopped what I was doing and I made another video immediately about the product and you're probably thinking well Crystal the video you posted an

[17:21] hour ago is taking off you're no longer at home how do you just stop and make a video one I will respond to comment cuz remember comments work responding to those comments with the video work like go like chef's kiss or I would simply

[17:37] just record the video right where I'm at if I'm in my car or at home and I would go through my comments that I'm getting on that on that video and let's say people are talking about the way it looks or what I did or something of that

[17:50] nature or the price isn't the same and then I would just make a next video my video will be very simple no more than 15 to 60 seconds and I'm just saying the price is this price you can get a coupon whatever but I made sure that if a video

[18:05] was taken off I made one to two extra videos right away to keep the traffic going and if I didn't have a response bubble or comment that I could respond to you can also go view other videos for that product go to their comments and

[18:23] respond to a comment on someone else's video on your page so don't feel limited that you may not have any comments on your videos use a comment from someone else's but don't use too many I did use this one girls I used three of her

[18:37] comments to respond to and she did block me so you don't want to get blocked so I recommend just do one here and there from different people okay and those

[18:49] were the top things that worked for me the first month on Tik Tok shop now here are the things that did not work or made me say ooh for my first month on Tik Tok shop the first thing that did not work was once a video went viral one time the

[19:05] headphone videos to be exact it started getting what 5 something million I'm like wow well if this is working on this account let me take that video let me remove the watermark even though it's my video and let me just post it to the

[19:19] backup account right wrong well I got hit with a copyright infringement because I copied a video from another account doesn't matter that I am the

[19:31] same person that is in the video I copied the exact same video from another account I got hit with a copyright infringement and what you're going to notice about Tik Tock shop is they will ding you and give you violations you can

[19:46] only get 24 violations in a 90day period if you get 24 they will take and shut from you as well so you you have to really watch the guidelines so you do

[20:01] not get violations one violation is what some violations are one point but a lot of them are about six points each the next thing that did not work for me on Tik Tock shop is mentioning a brand So airpod Max or using the words dupe

[20:18] mentioning Lulu cuz I have a jacket that everyone say oh it's a Lululemon dupe don't do it I got a violation and they said that I was is tradem Market infringement at that point so and then I and then I got one saying that I was

[20:33] trying to promote counterfeit products so do not say dupes do not mention another brand whether it's text on screen or when you're say or when you're talking about the product let people in the comments mention it and you can

[20:47] respond to those comments but the idea of saying the word dup or the Brand's name you will get a violation they will take that video down down and that's six

[20:59] points and again it stays on your account for 90 days and within those 90 days if you get to 24 points for your violations your account is taking forever the third thing that did not work for me on Tik Tok shop my first 30

[21:13] days was using other people's comments so that I could respond to them with the video so I could have that comment bubble since that tend to work and push the videos out further as I stated before I used one girl's bub

[21:29] and using her bubble three different times she blocked me and so after that I realized if I'm going to use other people's comments there's tons of videos on the product that you're promoting trust me when you go into the product

[21:42] page it gives you other great videos that have been successful go through each video find one comment move on to the next if you have another comment you video you want to make but do not double up or triple up from one person because

[21:56] they will block you and I'm I'm assuming that's a bad thing in regards to using comments I feel no type of way you're not taking money from me whatsoever but

[22:09] the fact that I got blocked made me feel like maybe this is wrong I don't know and the fourth and final thing that I would say that did not work for me or posting a video on Monday and then coming back on Friday like it'll get

[22:24] some traffic if it's a good video your chances are lower of actually getting a viral video and so I mean it's a numbers game right it just makes sense the more being successful there was a huge difference from making almost $11,000 to

[22:44] $1,500 a month on my backup account to $24,000 on my main one and it has nothing to do with the actual numbers the videos performed better on my main took off I made more videos I didn't do that for the backup account I just

[23:02] wanted to do totally different things just so I could have true data and true comparison for you guys and that's how my first month on Tik Tock shop went now if you want more Tik Tock shop information or content please turn on

[23:17] the notification subscribe because this is how I make most of my content as you guys know I got a really bad Health Report in December and so I'm taking taking a step back and using my ugc skills to just throw them on to Tik Tock

[23:32] shops so I can get some income but leave enough time in my day to take care of myself mentally and physically looking back now to October 25th 26th I will say that Tik Tok shop was definitely worth the time the investment I wish I had

[23:48] started sooner I saw people commenting about it months ago and I jumped on it's not too late for you to jump on but I wish I would have started sooner again if you don't have 5,000 subscribers don't worry turn on my notifications

[24:02] next Monday I will be dropping the video walking you through step bystep how to set up your Tik Tok shop account if you have less than 5,000 followers my goal this year for 2024 is going to be to make at least

[24:16] $300,000 in affiliate commissions that would be amazing the reason why I love affiliate Commission because it really could be passive income for example I've posted I think I've posted a video yet this week cuz we are moving um and so

[24:33] I'm making still even though I have not posted a video $200 a day from the Tik Tok shop simply from videos that I posted weeks ago months ago having this

[24:45] type of freedom is something that I am just amazed at and I never thought it was possible on this scale because I was an Amazon affiliate but Amazon has nothing on Tik Tok shop so if you want this type of content make sure you give

[25:13] we leave because we all know one thing all of the finances and the monies that we do have or that we do get comes from one source and one source only and honestly I wouldn't be on this platform or I would not be able to say I made

[26:01] doing it who I was doing it for and because I was consistent I'm able to sit here in front of thousands and say I made this much money the one thing we also know is God that once you paid once I got paid I paid you I paid my ties and

[26:16] so I just thank you for the opportunity to be able to bless you and pour back into your kingdom with my ties I know that at the end of the day I wouldn't have been able to give anything if it wasn't for you first being my provider

[26:30] and allowing me the opportunity to be on Tik Tok shop I thank you for the opportunity that I have today to be able to pour into so many people who are watching this video I pray that the people who are hearing this video is

[26:43] actually inspire that they see me and know that they can do this too that I'm no different from them that you are on my side and I showed up every single day and they can do the same exact thing I pray that any doubt that they're feeling
