This video analyzes PewDiePie's estimated earnings from YouTube ad revenue. The creator uses Social Blade to get view counts and applies an estimated CPM to calculate monthly and yearly income.
The video is part of a series ('YouTube Rich') and focuses on PewDiePie, a Swedish YouTuber living in the UK, who is the most subscribed YouTuber globally.
The creator uses Social Blade to get PewDiePie's stats, noting a monthly view count of 300 million and that he is part of the Maker Studios network.
The creator explains the CPM method: divide views by 1000, multiply by an estimated CPM. They assume a conservative $3 CPM due to PewDiePie's top-tier status.
Calculated: 300 million views / 1000 = 300,000 M units Γ $3 = $900,000 per month, or $10.8 million per year (β Β£8 million / β¬9.6 million).
Besides ad revenue, PewDiePie earns from sponsorships, product placement, Twitch streaming, donations, and his clothing line.

02:45[00:00] hey guys what is going on welcome to YouTube rich episode 5 today we are looking at PewDiePie which was a requested video before I start I just like to say again thanks for the support on the other videos if I continue to get
[00:14] as many likes and nice comments it really motivates me to make more videos so thank you for that so anyway today we are looking at PewDiePie the Swedish youtuber who is currently living in the UK he doesn't really need an
[00:27] introduction I'm sure everyone watching this video has heard of him and knows a little bit about him if you don't know about him just give him a quick google because there's loads of information about him he is the most subscribed
[00:39] youtuber in the world and let's get on to the video so the website I have up here is socialblade.com this is a youtube stats website I've used before and here you can see PewDiePie's stats for his channel the important stat here
[00:54] that we need is his view count for the last 30 days pretty much everything else on the page is irrelevant apart from his network you can see there maker studios but his estimated earnings in the bottom right there are pretty atrocious in terms of range they're just they're not pinpointed
[01:11] at all so i'll take you to another screen and pinpoint them far more accurately but if you want to see any more stats have a look there you can see he's the first ranked in the world for video rank he's fourth in subscriber rank but that's just because he's behind the
[01:25] YouTube generated channels so with the view count of 300 million views per month we need to find his CPM which means cost per milestone we can then divide the view count by a thousand multiply it by the estimated CPM and this will give us a good idea of how much he is making per month So I given him an estimated CPM of three dollars per 1000 views This might
[01:48] seem a little high but just bear in mind that he is the most viewed YouTuber in the world so networks are going to fight over him tooth and nail and they're going to be offering premium CPM rates so this three dollars per thousand views might even be slightly conservative. Anyway if you want to see
[02:03] more on the factors I use in calculating the CPM please check out my other videos and let's calculate how much he makes per month and per year. So using this CPM estimate and the amount of views he's getting per month we can calculate
[02:18] his monthly earning to be roughly $900,000 US dollars. This means he is making a staggering 10.8 million US dollars per year which can be converted to 8 million pounds per year or 9.6
[02:33] million euros per year. This figure is only from his view count which makes the stat all the more mind-blowing. He also makes money through sponsorships, product placement, twitch streaming,
[02:45] donations and of course his clothing line. But this video was all about his YouTube views and how much he's making from them so that is a pretty good estimate of how much he makes per year from youtube views i hope you found this video enjoyable and informative please leave a like and subscribe
[03:01] if you did now i've been getting a lot of video requests and it's kind of overwhelming the amount i'm getting i'd have to be putting up three or four videos every day if i was to do them all so i'm sorry if i haven't done your favorite youtuber yet i'll try to get around to them all but anyway
[03:15] i hope you enjoyed thanks for the support and stay watching have a good day
