[03:52] [Music] started all right guys I've been playing at this table for a bit now I started with 100 euros and I'm down to 60 because the play hasn't been the best having lost the last hand however I've

[04:05] been counting cards in the meantime and the true Count has gone up nicely we're at a running count of 13 meaning the total count of cards so far is 13 which is very good to get the true Count we divide this by the Decks that are left

[04:20] decks have been discarded here on the left clearly over four decks since this is an 8 deck table that leaves us with four so we do 13 / 4 which is

[04:33] 3.25 this is the true Count and why do we care because it tells us how much to bet we always bet the true Count minus one so it essentially tells us to make a two times bet since I'm playing with a base bet of €20 This Means €60 so I

[04:51] basically need to go all in and that's what I'm doing meanwhile I'm continuing to count cards and we're still at 133 soon explain the details of how counting works but for now remember that while I count I also need to follow the basic

[05:06] strategy which is the chart you'll find in the link in the description it tells you whether to stand or hit based on the cards you and the dealer have in my case with my 12 against the deers 2 I hit let's see what we get with 19 on the

[05:21] let's see what we get with 19 on the other hand We gone up to 14 as a came out which is counted as plus one so what does this

[05:33] mean that the deck is very hot and thus there's a higher chance that the player which is me will win essentially the higher the true Count the more it signals that the low cards which favor the table have already come out while

[05:47] the high cards which favor the player are yet to come and in the meantime I've just won this hand massive so I made €120 in one

[06:03] this hand massive so I made €120 in one go okay the running count is now 15 divided by the three decks remaining means the true Count is five and so I have to bet four times my base bet which is €80 unfortunately I didn't manage in

[06:17] time and so only bet 70 but oh well essentially the idea is that the deck is still very hot and the chances of winning are very high so the hotter the winning are very high so the hotter the deck the more I will bet meanwhile folks

[06:30] the running count has gone up to 18 so the deck is really smoking hot I can smell the money essentially card counting allows us to invest as much as possible in bets at times when it's easier for the player to win hence hands

[06:44] like the one that just happened the hotter the deck the more we will be invested in the bet if you're feeling a bit lost that's normal C counting is indeed very complicated especially for those not used to it but it's not so

[06:57] much complicated in itself it's complicated because you have to simultaneously count every card that comes out keeping the running count updated ad just the BET depending on what the true Count is and follow the

[07:09] basic strategy now it's my turn and with 19 I stand so now I'm following the basic strategy but meanwhile I'm keeping an eye on the cards coming out and continue counting the running count is still 18 so that would be a true Count

[07:24] of about 4.5 as there are still about four decks remaining remember to calculate the true Count you need to estimate by sight how many decks are left and divide the running count by those decks so I now did 18 divided by

[07:37] four and then after this hand we'll always bet the true Count minus one as a multiplier of the base bet in our case now it would be 3.5 times meanwhile the running count has gone up to 20 guys this deck is supercharged heavy betting

[07:54] next so my suggestion for someone counting who wants to count is maybe to pair up with at least a friend where one counts the cards and tells the other what the true Count is at the end of the turn and the other adjusts the bets to

[08:06] the true Count and follows the basic strategy on whether to hit or stand otherwise doing it all alone becomes a bit heavy especially at the beginning but over time you get used to it eh no way blast it the dealer has a 21

[08:23] so I lose even with a solid 19 okay then I'm going all in with my measly 50 darn it the count is super high now I could have bet much more darn oh well

[08:36] unfortunately these things happen guys even card counting doesn't always work 100% like Hollywood movies make it seem eh everything was going well and with a 19 I had solid chances of winning the dealer only had two card combinations

[08:50] that could win and they had one of those it happens darn it okay not All Is Lost though because the running count is still super High we're at 22 now so there are excellent chances of winning and therefore recouping quite a bit of

[09:05] money ah a five comes out so we're up to a running count of 23 the deck is really a running count of 23 the deck is really smoking hot okay so as you've seen card counting isn't this super infallible system it simply optimizes the chances

[09:19] of winning as much as possible in favor of the player but it doesn't make you invincible okay so let's talk about actually how counting cards works for getting the true Count you can find this chart in the video description and you

[09:32] just need to follow this in short every time a card from 2 to six comes out you add plus one to our running count if instead a face card I.E king queen Jack an ace or a 10 comes out you do minus one and the Seven 8 and nine are worth

[09:49] zero so you do nothing so every card that comes out you do this count by adding or subtracting one to the running count you always start from zero at the beginning of the game and continue throughout the game okay with 12 and the

[10:02] Dess n we hit following the basic strategy chart which you can also find description haven't apped I have July great a nice 20 so

[10:15] with 20 We Stand meanwhile the running count is still super hot we're at 23 come on I'm tense now such a high running count doesn't happen often the

[10:27] point is that once the deck or rather the the shoe of eight decks is finished theoretically the count goes back to zero so essentially during the game the count will always oscillate a bit up a bit down and we simply barge in

[10:40] forcefully in moments when it oscillates up like in this case hoping for the best If instead the true Count is below two essentially we continue with our base essentially we continue with our base bet until something

[11:00] so we've won €100 finally some good news so now I've recouped everything I had lost before okay the deck is still smoking hot 24 true Count with about three decks left

[11:13] so 24 divided by 3 makes eight so we will be betting theoretically will be betting theoretically €60 since my base bet is €20 but I don't have that much so all in again €100 let's push a bit meanwhile guys the

[11:29] count is getting even higher we're at a running count of 24 massive this means there are very high chances we'll win remember of course that the running count is done by counting all the cards that come out whether they're mine the

[11:43] dealers or other players so do you get our counting works you start from zero following the chart in the description that number is the running count meanwhile you play the base bet in my case €20 but it can be anything you

[12:00] always follow the basic strategy chart when deciding to hit or stand and keep counting you always divide the running count by the remaining decks and that's the true Count when the true Count is above two we bet the base bet multiplied

[12:13] by the true Count minus one so if the true Count is five we would bet four times the base bet if it's at 2.3 theoretically we bet 1.3 times we continue like this until the true Count drops below two again and then we return

[12:28] to the base bet in that case in this way we optimize our play to bet more or less depending on how hot the deck is and the cards that are yet to come out are in our favor why are high cards in our favor well because they increase the

[12:41] chances of getting a blackjack and when there are many high cards in the deck the dealer has more chances of busting I.E going over 21 conversely low cards they increase the Dealer's chances of

[12:55] reaching a score close to 21 without busting

[13:08] and meanwhile we've won caught 200 in one go massive how it works now before we wrap up let's talk about something super important the fact that in many online blackjack games the shoe which is a set of eight decks

[13:24] is reshuffled at a random point during the game this is obviously a problem for counters because you have to start back at zero each time now many believe that the deck is always reshuffled exactly at the halfway point but as you've seen in

[13:38] this case it's not always so what happens is that a special card is randomly inserted into the deck roughly half way but not always in this case it because I reckon that card was pretty much towards the end so it didn't

[13:52] reshuffle the deck for quite a while we were practically at almost two decks missing out of the eight in the shoe and it still hadn't reshuffled so in situations like this there's a higher chance of catching a nice high running

[14:05] count but sometimes you might find that the reshuffle spoils your party ah unfortunately there's nothing you can do about it essentially this is the disadvantage of counting cards these days well once blackjack games used a

[14:18] single deck and it was very easy to count and break the bank of the casino now both physical and online use eight decks and reshuffle the cards about halfway through making the counting advantage much less strong so does card

[14:31] counting lead to winning yes and no certainly if followed perfectly it is indeed the casino strategy that offers the biggest advantage of all and yes if really followed well it gives a mathematical advantage to the player

[14:44] however this clear Advantage is unfortunately lowered by the current Blackjack playing modes with reshuffling and all this added to the fact that often those who cap cards make mistakes makes card counting a method like any

[14:57] other good but with its risk risks so the usual recommendations remain to be cautious and not see it as a method for Shire money making but to understand the risks so let me know what you think about online card counting in the
