[00:00] what is the most important part of any

[00:02] tic toc video don't worry i'll give you

[00:03] time to think

[00:06] all right that's long enough the answer

[00:08] is the hook the hook is those first

[00:09] three to five seconds of every single

[00:10] video that you publish and in this video

[00:12] you're gonna learn how to curate the

[00:14] perfect hook for each one of your tick

[00:16] tock videos when you make the perfect

[00:18] hook for your videos more people are

[00:19] going to stick around for the rest of

[00:20] your video meaning your views are going

[00:21] to go up and that's going to lead to

[00:22] more engagement on your videos and more

[00:24] engagement leads to your videos getting

[00:25] pushed to even more people and when your

[00:27] videos get pushed even more people

[00:28] that's more than likely going to lead to

[00:29] more followers so if you're ready strap

[00:32] in let's get to it

[00:33] [Music]

[00:37] again the hook is the most important

[00:38] part of any video that you make and the

[00:40] reasoning behind this is because if you

[00:41] don't have a good hook people are

[00:43] instantly going to scroll if you don't

[00:44] have a good hook you can't keep your

[00:45] audience's attention but if you do have

[00:47] a good hook you're instantly grabbing

[00:49] the attention of your audience people

[00:50] are going to be more intrigued about

[00:51] what you're talking about people are

[00:53] more likely to stick around for the rest

[00:54] of your video this is why you need to

[00:56] have a good hook because a good hook can

[00:58] really determine the success or failure

[01:00] of any video that you make especially on

[01:02] tick tock so what is a hook as i

[01:04] mentioned earlier it's the first three

[01:05] to five seconds of your video but it's

[01:07] called a hook because this is when you

[01:08] actually hook your audience's attention

[01:10] think of it as if you're out fishing

[01:12] throw your fishing line and you have a

[01:13] hook with some bait sitting in the water

[01:14] if a fish comes by and bites the bait

[01:16] they are more than likely going to be

[01:18] hooked onto your fishing line and that's

[01:19] only going to be made possible from the

[01:21] hook and without the hook none of that

[01:23] is going to be able to happen without

[01:25] the hook you're not going to be able to

[01:26] catch any fish so having a good hook is

[01:28] essentially going to hook in your

[01:29] audience there's obviously more work to

[01:30] do after that but the most important

[01:32] part is getting the fish on the hook to

[01:34] begin with without the hook the fish is

[01:36] going to keep swimming downstream what

[01:37] makes a good hook every single good hook

[01:40] out there has two main elements it uses

[01:42] some form of the word you and it piques

[01:44] the interest of your audience without

[01:46] those two things you either have an okay

[01:47] hook or not a good hook at all so every

[01:49] good hook has those two main components

[01:52] why is using the word use so important

[01:54] why is it so effective the reason you

[01:56] should use the word you and all of your

[01:57] hooks is because it grabs your

[01:58] audience's attention and makes your

[02:00] audience feel as though you are speaking

[02:02] directly to them making a broad

[02:03] statement that can make it feel as

[02:04] though you're talking to everybody is

[02:06] not going to be nearly as effective your

[02:08] audience is going to be much more

[02:09] responsive if it feels like you're

[02:10] talking directly to them if it feels

[02:12] like it's going to be a one-on-one

[02:13] conversation they're going to want to

[02:14] sit down and listen to the rest of what

[02:16] you have to say but if you start your

[02:17] videos with something like hey guys it's

[02:19] me welcome back something like that

[02:21] isn't going to be nearly as effective

[02:22] that's only going to be somewhat

[02:23] effective for somebody that already has

[02:25] hundreds of thousands of followers it's

[02:26] not going to be nearly as effective for

[02:28] somebody like you that may not have that

[02:29] many followers so you want to use the

[02:31] word you because it's going to help your

[02:32] audience feel as though you're speaking

[02:34] directly to them and hopefully you

[02:35] already are if you go take a look at

[02:37] some of the top creators in your niche i

[02:38] guarantee a lot of their hooks are going

[02:40] to have the word you in it they also may

[02:42] have a lot of other things working for

[02:43] them at the moment but a key factor as

[02:46] to why a lot of their videos are

[02:47] successful is their hook and their use

[02:49] of the word you now we're going to move

[02:51] on to the next component of a good hook

[02:53] and that's peaking your audience's

[02:54] interest you have to make them curious

[02:56] about what you're about to talk about

[02:57] and that can sometimes be by saying

[02:59] something outlandish like instagram is

[03:01] going to be the next amazon although it

[03:02] may not necessarily be true people are

[03:04] going to wonder exactly where you're

[03:05] going with that type of statement but

[03:06] the reason something like that is going

[03:08] to be effective is because you're

[03:09] speaking to something that your audience

[03:10] is going to be curious about that is

[03:12] going to be peaking your audience's

[03:13] interest almost immediately so how do

[03:15] you know exactly what your audience

[03:17] wants to know about what they're

[03:18] interested in and all that well you have

[03:20] to think of a couple questions one

[03:21] question is what problems are they

[03:23] facing if you understand the problems

[03:24] that your audience is facing then it's

[03:26] going to be much easier to curate some

[03:27] sort of hook or some sort of topic

[03:29] that's going to be peaking their

[03:30] interest for example a problem that a

[03:32] lot of people in my niche face is

[03:33] getting more views on their videos not

[03:35] getting enough followers from their

[03:36] videos not getting a lot of engagement

[03:38] so because i know those problems i can

[03:40] curate a good hook about a topic that is

[03:43] relating to one of those things next you

[03:45] can think about what roadblocks are they

[03:47] facing and roadblocks are things that

[03:48] are preventing your audience members

[03:50] from moving forward so things like oh

[03:52] they're too scared to do this they're

[03:53] not sure exactly what steps to take to

[03:55] do this things like that are going to be

[03:57] roadblocks that your audience is facing

[03:59] and if you understand those things then

[04:00] it's gonna be even easier to come up

[04:01] with a topic for some sort of hook for a

[04:04] video you also need to ask yourself what

[04:05] obstacles is your audience facing those

[04:07] three questions what problems are they

[04:09] facing what roadblocks will they face

[04:11] what obstacles are they facing those

[04:13] three things are going to be crucial to

[04:14] answer because that's going to allow you

[04:16] to come up with a very good topic for

[04:19] your hooks and then you can base the

[04:20] rest of your video around exactly what

[04:22] you said in your hook being able to come

[04:24] up with a solid hook a good hook every

[04:26] single video that you post that is going

[04:27] to help lead you to a lot more success

[04:29] on tech talk so an example of a good

[04:31] hook is saying here's how you're going

[04:32] to gain your first thousand followers on

[04:34] tick tock now i already have a video

[04:36] about that and i'll link it in the top

[04:37] corner but this is a hook that is going

[04:39] to get a lot of people interested right

[04:40] away especially if they're interested in

[04:42] growing on tick tock because once you

[04:44] reach that thousand followers it unlocks

[04:45] a lot more thing for the app you're able

[04:47] to go live you're able to have a link in

[04:48] your bio you're able to start doing a

[04:50] lot more things so because of that your

[04:52] life on tech talk should be a lot easier

[04:54] and based on the hook that i gave people

[04:56] are going to be extremely interested on

[04:58] how they can do that as fast as possible

[05:00] so if we go back and analyze that hook

[05:02] here's how you can gain your first

[05:03] thousand followers on tick tock does it

[05:05] have the two main key elements that a

[05:06] good hook has does it contain the word

[05:08] you yes does it pique the audience's

[05:11] interest yes i have the two big key

[05:13] elements that every good hook is gonna

[05:15] have and i can guarantee that a lot of

[05:16] people in my audience if they came

[05:18] across a video where i said here's how

[05:19] you can gain your first thousand

[05:20] followers they're gonna stop and be

[05:22] interested in what i have to say and

[05:24] that's again because i use the word you

[05:26] and i peak their interest right away and

[05:28] if we time that hook it's not even three

[05:30] seconds long it's well under five

[05:32] seconds so me being able to hook my

[05:34] audience in no time flat is gonna allow

[05:35] me a lot more time to get to the meat of

[05:37] what i'm trying to talk about but if i

[05:39] don't pick their interest right away the

[05:40] video is not going to be successful no

[05:41] matter what i say in the rest of the

[05:43] video they're already on the third or

[05:44] fourth video after that you also need to

[05:46] keep in mind that a good hook does not

[05:48] mean a good video does a good hook

[05:50] increase your chances of your videos

[05:51] performing well yes but a good hook does

[05:54] not mean that you're gonna have a

[05:56] successful video a bad hook is gonna be

[05:57] something that can't help a good video

[05:59] but a good hook is only gonna be

[06:01] something that helps a bad video the

[06:03] hook is gonna be designed to keep people

[06:04] around for a little bit longer on your

[06:06] videos meaning that after the hook you

[06:08] still have a lot of work to do but it's

[06:10] gonna be a lot easier to do that work if

[06:12] we go back to our fishing example once

[06:14] the fish is hooked on the line you still

[06:16] have to reel it in and you reeling it in

[06:18] is the meat of your content right there

[06:20] and once you reel that fish all the way

[06:21] in you have that fish for however long

[06:23] you can keep it you have that new

[06:25] audience member as a follower they're

[06:26] gonna be sticking around for your videos

[06:28] and hopefully engaging with all of your

[06:29] videos from here on out and none of that

[06:31] would be possible without a good hook

[06:34] there's only so much you can do with the

[06:35] rest of your content but you can always

[06:37] curate a good hook because good hooks

[06:39] lead to more watch time more watch time

[06:41] leads to your videos getting pushed out

[06:43] to more fyps when your videos get pushed

[06:45] out to more fyps more people are going

[06:46] to see your videos when you get more

[06:48] people seeing your videos that's going

[06:50] to lead to more engagement more

[06:51] followers more everything and more

[06:53] benefits for you on your page and once

[06:56] again all of that can be traced back to

[06:58] one good hook so that's all i have for

[07:00] you if you enjoyed this video be sure to

[07:02] hit the like and subscribe button and if

[07:04] you have any questions about a good hook

[07:07] or if you think i should elaborate on

[07:09] anything else that i didn't elaborate on

[07:10] in this video be sure to leave a comment

[07:12] if you aren't doing so already be sure
