How to Play Roulette

[00:09] hi I'm Marta from claremonts.com this time I'm gonna run you through how to play roulette some strategies some basic principles of the game a little bit history as well along the way the game of roulette then what we have here

[00:51] hill a bit more aggressively let's look at the very safe bets first these are the outside chances no slight chances mean that by placing a chip on maybe one to eighteen or maybe red or maybe odd numbers you're given yourself

[01:05] roulette wheel here eighteen of the 37 different scenarios we're winning ones for you obviously that's not a very big risk so we don't give you the biggest of rewards if you look at here low numbers 1 to 18 if the number it's in the world

[01:20] members number 15 you bet 4 chips you win 4 chips as simple as that if you bet again there's a black number if you bet 3 chips on black black comes in you the only thing to watch out when you do these outside bets they're very safe

[01:35] bets but the 0 is not a winning bet on the outside chances low risk low return roulette it's the low-risk bets the outside favor you get paid even money double your

[01:50] winnings if you have a winning return on the wheel chances where your bet 18 numbers with one chip the next least risky way of playing fairly safe is to do something like this it's called a dozen well the

[02:04] cousin of the Dozen which is the column bets at one of the table now by doing given yourself twelve of the different numbers on the wheel in your favor in this case there it is first twelve very much self-explanatory you're putting all

[02:18] can do the column bets the column bets here on all of the table the trial and was it run the table that if you have a winning chip a little bit more risky so we're going to pay you a little bit more rather than being paid once when

[02:32] you're better doesn't you get a triple return if you're a winner again I'm gonna column there each one you bet you win two more betting the columns but in the dozens twelve numbers in your favor if you win you get paid two-to-one on

[02:49] one chip we've covered the twelve you can't do eleven ten nine eight or seven what you can do though is you can bet six different numbers with one chip what's it called it's called a six line

[03:02] how'd you place it on the guilty Junction here if you place it here you're covering all the numbers they're numbers four to nine inclusively if you covering the number seven to twelve inclusively that covers six numbers

[03:14] numbers on the roulette wheel now so the risk is increasing isn't it as we go well so if in this example the winning number will drop the doughnut there is the number eleven you'll get paid at

[03:28] five-to-one odds for any of your chips on a winning six line five ten out they return as you go along there are made six different numbers for you pays five six different numbers for you pays five to one odds they're called a six line

[03:43] covered the dozens we've cover the six lines you can't cover five numbers with one chip you can though very very easy and very popular bet this one something called a corner I saw they're known as a corner is when you bet with four

[03:56] is it's touching the four different numbers you can maybe if you like number there if number eight comes you've got four winning chips if number five comes you got two they called a corn up there ways of betting on the four numbers

[04:10] you're touching with one chip 37 numbers in the wheel for them of yours this time we're now in our betting so we're getting a nice return instead of winning one two or five chips this time eight

[04:23] winner these are called corners they pay eight to one very very nice popular way that not other people know it's called the zero corner or the first four you can encompass the zero in it you pop it that little spot there where's your own

[04:37] the first four numbers zero one two and zero eight to one odds that's a corner bet for you we can also do a nice bet we've covered four numbers we can do a little bit more risk we're

[04:52] called a street there it is that runs down the table that's a street bet seven eight nine that's a street bet there one two and three again if there's thirty only gonna bet three of them now it's a fairly high risk strategy of only

[05:06] betting three in the miz' so we've got a lovely big return eleven to one whose this would be a winning chip if the dolly was placed on the number eight and we'd pay you there we go eleven chips for betting on the street eleven to one

[05:22] for betting on the street eleven to one odds nice return for you popular one in the French it's a very old traditional French game Hulett it's called a shovel or a split here's an example of a split for seven you're

[05:36] two numbers now you're getting a very very nice return for this you only got two of the 37 numbers in your favor so we're going to give you a lovely return if you like for seven perhaps you like seven 10 - num is in your favour if

[05:50] is a winner seventeen to one odds you keep the chip your seventeen chips that's a lovely return isn't it high risk high return let's name of the game risking reward lots of risk lots of reward on a split

[06:04] lots of risk lots of reward on a split or about 17 to once we go with the roulette is the on plan or the straight up it's when you place your chip on just one number you're not limited to betting on one number at a time you can maybe do

[06:19] a selection different numbers in straight-up bets like this if you find the winning chip if you find the winning result straight up there just like that if it was a number eight will pay you odds of thirty five to one as an example

[06:32] if this chip was a five pounds or a five euro chip the five pounds bet would return you a hundred and seventy five at 35 to one odds it's the most risky bet it's the most rewarding bet getting a straight up is a really really good one

[06:46] straight up is a really really good one for your wallet in roulette people quite often forget the green number on the world the odd one out the zero no you common last question how much you get paid for the zero exactly the same as

[06:58] all the other members if you bet on the zero like that straight up a non-player other number on the roulette wheel altogether there are seven different them briefly so you know your options you can play the zero straight up like

[07:12] that you can play three different sushi rolls or splits here they are 0 1 0 2 or 0 3 they're all 17 to 1 returns betting two numbers 0 1 0 2 0 3 there's a nice

[07:25] here on the t-junction let's have a good look at them look at them 0 1 2 this one here is 0 2 3 11 2 1 it's like a street placement the last one of the 7 different placement

[07:38] here is that love it one the zero corner the first four zero one two and three it's the least risky way playing the zero it returns you eight to one chips and it's a first for bet zero one two and three so altogether seven different

[07:52] ways of playing the zero it's not necessarily the house number you can zero with one of these seven different chip placements on the zero
