How to Play Slots and Win

[00:01] today we're at my favorite casino, Coushatta in Kinder, Louisiana, and I'm going to [music] answer the question, can you win at playing slots? So, let's get at it. >> [music]

[00:18] Absolutely. The key is discipline, understanding your bankroll, and knowing when to walk away. Now, game choice does have a part in it, but sometimes you cannot control that. You can control

[00:30] your discipline. It is key that you bet in proportion to your bankroll. Let's say you have a $100. I don't want to bet less than 1%, and I really don't want to

[00:42] bet more than 2%. Why? Because of expected return and bankroll management. So, if I'm betting less than a dollar, we're going to take a paytable that's most common line hits you're going to get is going to be the uh white sevens

[01:00] or the blue sevens. So, either 20 credits or 25 credits if you're betting that's 40 or 50. That is the most common, and you probably will get a Triple Star with it. Now, let's say you have a $1,000 bankroll. Say you're doing

[01:14] have a $1,000 bankroll. Say you're doing $2 spins, right? And you get that blue blue blue. You just won 40 credits. That's $40. But, if you're betting 1% of your bankroll, $10,

[01:29] right? That is $200. Now, you can also bet 2% of your bankroll, which would be $20, and then you would have won $400. This is so important. It has to be in proportion to your bankroll. You'll never catch back

[01:44] up to your losses if you're not betting in proportion. Now, on the other side, if you're betting too much, you won't give yourself enough opportunity to win. especially on games. I like to move through the bet multipliers, but you

[01:58] don't want to stay too far low or too far ahead because you'll never be able to recoup your losses. Next big thing is setting those walk-away limits both on the high end and on the low end.

[02:11] Very rarely do you come to the casino and you're not up or above your starting point. You need to have a set walk-away limit. For me, a lot of times it's 20, 30%. Why? Because that is a big big percent. [music] If you expect to get a

[02:27] 100 time multiplier every single time, you're going to lose. Again, expect to get that 40, 50, 60 times multiplier. And when you get that, take the win. It may only be 30%. But that's 30%. If you're betting a $1,000,

[02:44] that's $300. It doesn't make a difference if it's 100 or 1,000. It's 30%. And understand when you want to stop. A lot of times I stop at 50%. If I put $100 in, I'll stop at $50. I'm not getting anything. Why? Because of the

[02:58] expected return. If I get a bonus, the average bonus on a higher volatility machine might be 10 times my bet. So, I'm not even get that But if I do get it back, I need to say, "Hey, that was a good hit. I'm done. I

[03:12] had some fun. Let's try something else or let's call it a day and come back another time." Now, another big factor is the game that And unfortunately, some casinos don't have lower volatility

[03:26] higher in volatility, and that's becoming the norm. So, what I'm going to do today is we're going to play on a what used to be considered a high in volatility machine. It's actually lower

[03:39] now, but it's one that you can find at every casino, Dragon Link. Why? Because plays. It's consistent, which is important. And honestly, compared to a lot of other games, line hits aren't that bad and the bonus rounds are pretty

[03:54] good, especially the Hold and Spins. So, we're going to go over there. We're going to play that because again, that's one I feel like you can find everywhere. All right, y'all. So, we're here on Panda Magic. I wanted to sit down on
