AI Summary
The video introduces Claude Cowork, an Anthropic feature that goes beyond traditional AI chatbots by working directly within user-selected folders to create, edit, and organize files. It positions Cowork as a transition from an 'AI chatbot' to an 'AI teammate', capable of executing multi-step tasks and integrating with external apps. The tutorial aims to showcase setup, usage, and real-world applications for productivity.

[00:07] is still unfinished. The recepts are scattered across PDFs, screenshots, and folders. You open an AI chatboard and realize that you still have to upload the files and explain the task and manage the results. Now, imagine
[00:19] pointing Claude at a folder and saying, "Turn these recepts into an expense report. Categorize the spending and flag anything unclear." So that's the idea behind cloud co-work giving AI a workspace where it can help complete the
[00:34] task. But how much work can you actually delegate and how do you stay in control of what it changes. In this tutorial we are going to set up cloud co-work and explore how to use it for everyday productivity. The folder access and file
[00:48] creation and the example is supported by enthropics co-work documentation. Now here is the agenda for our today's session. We are going to start with first understanding what is cloud co-work. Then we will explore cloud chat
[01:01] versus cloud co-work. After that we are going to look up to workspace setup and permissions. Then we are going to create, edit and organize files. After that we are going to connect our apps. Then we are going to build custom
[01:13] skills. Now before we move ahead just a quick info guys. If you want to master generative AI then simply learn has got you covered by its advanced executive program and applied generative AI. This program focuses on building and shipping
[01:25] endto-end AI applications with agentic workflows and automations. You will gain hands-on experience with 29 plus AI tools and framework through 90 plus guided practices and projects. You'll also get live workshops and also explore
[01:39] the latest developments including plot open claw and many more. You're also simply learns AI powered job assist. So guys, hurry up now and join the course. description box. Now, here's a short quiz to test your knowledge. Let's say
[01:54] specific structure and formatting rules. So, which clot co-work feature is best suited to reusing those instructions and your options are a connectors, b custom skills, c browser automation or d schedule task? Please mention your
[02:08] answers in the comment section below. So guys, let's get started. First let us try to understand what is cloud co-work. Cloud Co-work is an additional feature by Enthropic team which basically gives you the ability to interact directly
[02:23] with your files and workflows. Unlike traditional chatbased AI tools where you upload files and receive responses, co-work can work directly inside your selected folders, create files, edit documents, and organize information and
[02:38] complete multi-step task. Think of it as moving from AI chatbot to an AI teammate that can help execute your ideas. Now before we move ahead, let's try to understand what is the difference between cloud chat and cloud co-work. So
[02:52] in the earlier versions, we used to have chat. Now in recent uh new feature, cloud co-work is directly integrated into the chat. So you mainly communicate
[03:04] the conversation with the claude through the chat window and in this only the co-work is also present. You can upload your files, ask question, receive responses inside the chat window and if you give access like there are in the
[03:20] settings section what are the apps you want to connect. So co-work can also work along with the chat it can access your local files. So which mean you can work with larger collection of documents without manually uploading everything.
[03:34] Let's say you connect your drive it can access all your Google docs and let's say and if you want to review those selected documents that can happen. Let's say for example you say analyze these scripts and create an expense
[03:47] report. So from this chat window only clot co-work can start working and it would categorize all the expenses and create an excel report. Now the next
[03:59] important thing is understanding how to connect your required apps in the cloud. option you're going to see something called as connectors this glow all over
[04:11] here. Now you can integrate your required apps. So let's say I have integrated Canva, I have integrated GitHub, I have integrated uh Google calendar and uh based on that there are a couple of other things also which I
[04:25] have done. So how you can find it? Just go under the settings section and scroll down and you'll see a connector option. Now these are the apps which I had connected. Now let us ask to the uh claude to let me know what are meetings
[04:41] claude to let me know what are meetings I'm having tomorrow. Hey uh Claude, can I'm having tomorrow. Hey uh Claude, can you let me know what meetings I have for you let me know what meetings I have for tomorrow? So when I hit enter, so you
[04:55] can see it is searching through the connected directory and you can see uh connected to your account but switched off for this chat. So I cannot see the events. So in this chat connector settings so you can see I'll just have
[05:10] settings so you can see I'll just have to do this and use it. So now it is going to call all the tools required to know what are the meetings I'm having. So you can see all over here it has giving me a brief about that I have
[05:23] first meeting that is scrum then I have a mandatory scrum in the evening. Now let's ask to the drive. Let's say um next thing let's say I want you to crawl
[05:37] next thing let's say I want you to crawl to my let's say drive and search for the to my let's say drive and search for the SCM search for top and search for top AI SCM search for top and search for top AI courses script and review it based on
[05:54] the content. So let's try this one activity. Let's see what Claude gives activity. Let's see what Claude gives us. Now you can see it is trying to find the topi course script if it is there. Okay, let me ask okay let's say search
[06:09] Okay, let me ask okay let's say search for SCM script and tell some more for SCM script and tell some more hands-on demo in that. So let's say I hit the enter now. Now guys, let's say I want to connect my drive to it and let's
[06:25] say I want to crawl some of the things and try to find out. So you can go all over here to the connectors and you can see Google Drive is there and there's a option called add from Google Drive. So you can see there is an AI op script. So
[06:39] let's say let's add the chat and I'll ask it review this script and add changes. Now you can see cloud co-work has started working on it. By the
[06:52] meantime it does it activity. Let us try to integrate clot co-work in our uh let's say. So guys you can see all over here it has uh access my drive and it
[07:04] has revised my required script. Sounds pretty interesting and this is one of the most amazing features. It's integrated into the chat. Now let's try to say that uh you want to create custom skills which is another powerful
[07:19] feature. Now skills allow you to teach claude cowwork repeated workflows. For example, imagine you regularly create weekly reports. So instead of repeating the same instructions every week, you create a custom skill. For example,
[07:32] let's say you ask generate my weekly business report using this format. So Claude can learn the workflow and repeat it whenever needed. You can create skills for report generation, content formatting, data analysis, email
[07:46] writing, document reviews and this actually transforms repetitive task into automated workflows. This is very amazing capability. So for this what you
[07:58] there's a option in your settings section called as skills. So you can see all over here and I have created couple of skills. For example, uh you I have
[08:10] given like summarize this week's class bookings and top selling product in a Fenry to graph email always ending with the next week's class schedule. So this is one of the skills that I have added and similarly you can add skills uh on
[08:27] and similarly you can add skills uh on this and do lot of amazing things. So guys this was bit about clot co-work it is one of the most amazing feature which is present in claude and now it has become integrated part of the chat. So
[08:41] explore this functionality do lot of automation and let us know in the comment section below what task or what tools did you integrated co-work with. Thank you guys for watching this video on cloud cowork at simply learn.
