I Watched Every New Anime of the Fall 2025 Season

[00:07] week with that video about summer that was actually sneakily about my favorite anime from last season. But all of that was in service to distract me from this

[00:19] was in service to distract me from this this fall season tribe monthly video that I do because I'm going to be honest, I feel like this season has like a record-breaking amount of tosses from me for a season. Very few holds compared

[00:33] to normal. And while I do think I'm giving a keep to like five or six this season, some of those are tentative at best and probably won't last beyond haven't noticed, I'm technically speaking to you here from the end of the

[00:47] video, just kind of to help vent my frustrations at what I really wanted to be a stellar season of just original anime. And instead, we just have so much anime. And instead, we just have so much that does not line up with those hopes

[01:01] and dreams of mine. because I have watched every single new anime of the fall 2025 anime season and we're going to talk about them today. But first, today we would like to thank the sponsor of the video today, Yostar

[02:12] getting rewarded for your troubles, only to then, you know, use those rewards to go to more monoliths and repeat the same process, but, you know, better equipped and gain even better rewards in a very roglike fashion. All the while learning

[02:26] the world that you have found yourself in. Talk to these girls, send them text messages, and very importantly, include them on your continued expeditions to more monoliths and further adventures. If like me, you are curious about this

[03:09] begin a mangaka's weirdly wonderful workplace. watch something like this and a part of me worries how much of the main character was just a self-insert by the author. An anxious, socially awkward

[03:24] mangaka attempts to survive her regular workday while being extremely anxious and socially awkward. That's it. That's the show. We spend so much time, at least of the first episode, in one scene where Amongaka is discussing with her

[03:39] assistant that sending in her storyboards in the middle of the morning is both the best time to send it because it's late and, you know, getting the story board sent in ASAP is a good idea. But also, what if her editor is out with

[03:52] a new fling or a boyfriend? Would those emails or messages be bothering her at this hour? What if by bothering her she comes to resent the messages and then resents the mangaka because of it? If then she resents the mangaka then she'll

[04:05] hole of further disasters and everything in her life will crumble to dust in her life will crumble to dust obviously. So having very similar problems myself occasionally I've been enjoying it if for no other reason than

[04:19] watching someone else suffer similar problems to my own anxieties is a great feeling for like not feeling like I'm alone in the universe. But also, yeah, it does it does get that bad sometimes. Either way, keep

[04:33] a star brighter than the sun. A girl whose prominent attribute is that she is taller than your average girl falls in love with a boy when they were both in elementary school. She holds on to her crush even though through middle school

[04:46] they grew distant after years of not being in the same class. And cut two, they go to the same high school together. Yep. Success. And he even sort of confesses his feelings back. Double win. But we haven't even gotten through

[04:59] episode one yet. Oh no. Who's this other girl that the camera is focusing on? Why this is going to be a love triangle drama series, isn't it? I mean, even if it's not, the first episode kind of did the whole gambit of the genre in 20

[05:12] minutes, and I'm both curious and worried as to where it could possibly go from here. So, you know, to be on the safe side, I'm going to put it on hold. be passing on this by the end of the season.

[05:26] A wild last boss appeared. Gamer plays an MMO which has a story that is fully created by the players themselves. He makes his character the strongest around so much that even the official lore of the game now makes it so that his

[05:39] character essentially becomes the game's final boss because they are so powerful. But after being defeated by a strong group of fellow players, he basks in the thrill of the battle, only to be asked by the game if he wants one more

[05:52] challenge. Then he's sucked into the game and wakes up in the body of his female avatar of death and destruction. It's been 100 years in the game story since his defeat. And now he can live as he chooses within his new body, of

[06:05] course. You know, the same maxle final boss body. Not a cheat skill is at all. Oh no, no, sir. just an isekai where you have all of the stats, skills, and abilities possible. That's not cheating. They were all gained fair and square.

[06:18] this one, at least for now, because sure, it's it's an overblown power interesting enough that I want to see where this leads. Hopefully somewhere where this leads. Hopefully somewhere good. Almaan wants to be a family. Two

[06:33] super genius scientists create the ultimate combat robot with extensive artificial intelligence and remarkable capabilities. They have dedicated their lives to helping their new creation learn and grow to be the ultimate robot,

[06:45] which basically makes them parents now. And Alma, the robot, is their child. And therefore, the comedy can begin because Alma is a cuder robot child, innocent and naive, but with blasters on her that can incinerate anyone who comes close.

[07:00] and her parents are two lab coatwearing mad scientists who hate one another, but not in like a vindictive way, more in like the very sundere way where they both secretly would love to smash but are too proud and egotistic to properly

[07:13] admit it to one another. And the comedy around the show was just this combination of all of these elements. So, if you can enjoy that, then this is pallet cleanser for whatever else you may end up watching. If you can't enjoy

[07:26] that, it's not even worth looking at. But for me, I'm going to give it a chance and we're going to put it on hold. Chitos is in the Ramune bottle. Not technically a herum this one, but it

[07:40] certainly runs side by side with the genre and is as close to being one as can be without, you know, actually rolling with your herum directly. This one is about a popular student, Chisos, and his band of popular fellow students

[07:53] ranging from academic excellence to sports superstars. They are the popular kids, the type that sweep the question of who should be class president without even any opposition at all. Because who would dare go against the flow of the

[08:07] room like that? Chitos gets roped in by his teacher to attempt to convince a sheltered and introverted student to come back to school since he's been, you months. And our protagonist and his friends slowly attempt to make inroads,

[08:22] though with little success. At the end of episode one, he decides to force the breaking down his window with a baseball bat since, you know, he's not allowed to just go in through the door. I'm not sure how breaking and entering is going

[08:35] to convince his fellow student that Chito has his best interests at heart or, you know, who's going to be paying for the glass door, but this is what he's doing. Personally, I don't really like Chitos. He's not a character that I

[08:48] can personally relate to. And sometimes he feels like he feels like a harum protagonist that knows he's a harm protagonist and just goes along with it. He has this air of superiority like he's read the light novel that he's in and he

[09:00] has all the confidence to do all of the right things. And it's it's like his mindset and his attitude that I'm finding a hard time jelling with. And while he may continue throughout the show to go on and help out other

[09:12] students with their problems, I have at least not yet seen the the flaws in this guy that would make his character arc interesting to me. So, yeah, I'm passing on this one. Toss. Dad is a hero. Mom is a spirit. I'm a

[09:27] reincarnator. I don't know what to make of this. On the one hand, it is a technically fantasy story about a hero who saved the world, got married to this world's version of a fairy queen in the spirit realm, and they had a kid, and

[09:39] because of the hassle of mortal issues like the nobility in the royal family. But also, it's this is an isekai because the daughter is a former scientist from Japan who has a cheat skill now that allows her to do science and manipulate

[09:54] the elements like making diamonds and other things from the periodic table at will. So apparently the daughter self-tasks herself with helping to maintain her own family's happiness. But her new father is a daughter con but you

[10:08] know the otherwise mostly unreliable father despite his hero status and her mother is a happygolucky ditz type queen of the spirits. So she has her luck cut out for her. But I'm sure that her cheat skill will make most things stupidly

[10:23] easy for her to solve. I'm okay. So we're passing on this one. we're passing on this one. Dusk, beyond the end of the world. So, Guy gets put into a cryosleep only to be unexpectedly woken up 100 years

[10:37] later. The world has gone through an apocalyptic event and only human tribes remain. Well, that and a global organization that rules through terror and fear. Not much change there, eh? But high-tech things do still exist as an

[10:50] android appears that looks like our protagonist's former girlfriend, and she the previously mentioned evil organization. I mean, the world building is interesting. I like that the action is pretty good. I'm not really attached

[11:04] most of the time on screen, you know, just being unaware of anything going on due to his circumstance of being cryogenically frozen for 100 years. He's maybe he'll find his feet pretty soon. But he does have something special going

[11:19] on in his life considering that he was put into cryosleep in the first place and there's a powerful android that has his girlfriend's face. I'm going to put it on hold because, you know, anime from PA Works has always surprised me in the

[11:32] past. So, we'll see if I end up keeping this one further on. Janosia, do my eyes deceive me? Is this a a legitimate sci-fi anime? I feel like I am witnessing the sight of a unicorn.

[11:48] other things that detract from the setting. Janosia is basically werewolf, anime will tell you. A far better analogy given its sci-fi setting is that it's Among Us the anime. A bunch of humans exist on board a spaceship

[12:04] traveling somewhere. On board the spaceship is one infected human who is conditioned to wipe out the entire human race, but they are outnumbered. Their own defense mechanisms, however, allow them to blend in and lie very

[12:18] convincingly, making them virtually undetectable to the crew, but not completely. The ship that everyone is on has the ability to detect that this Nosis infected person is here. It just can't identify them. So, a system was

[12:32] constructed to allow the awake humans to vote out who they think is the infected. If they succeed and the nosis is locked away in cold sleep, the AI will detect that the signature has vanished and obviously then whoever they just put

[12:45] into sleep was the infected person. If they fail, the Nosis remains as part of the crew and the game continues, but you know, not until the ship decides to make a warp through hyperspace, during which time nobody can move or even realize

[12:58] Nosis has the ability to then traverse the ship and then kill one of the inhabitants. Once only one Nosis and a single human is left, the Nosis will win, killing all of the humans and commandeering the ship. But our

[13:12] protagonist has been granted a special cheat power that allows them to when they die wake up at an earlier point in time after being killed. It's just returned by death. Effectively giving them mastery over the timeline until

[13:25] they can identify the nosis. But but but but if the opening title of the show is to be believed, it's probably not just going to be a simple matter of pointing fingers at the last person who killed them, as it's likely that the Nosis has

[13:37] infecting different crew members each time our protagonist loops. Maybe. How will our protagonist then identify the threat and convince their fellow crew who the real Nosis is? I don't know. I am fascinated by this premise because I

[13:52] do love me a good game of werewolf. I hate playing the game, but I find watching the games fascinating. However, because it is essentially a mystery going to play out is key to the enjoyment of the show. The fact that

[14:05] there is a time loop as well could be amazing or it could be abused by the story to just ruin the whole thing. I could put this on hold and wait it out, but you know, because again, we have so few new sci-fi anime as of late, I am

[14:17] willing to give this one a chance and start it off on my keep list for now. Hero without a class. Who even needs skills? Protagonist lives in a world where everyone is given an RPG class at age 10. Our guy, however, doesn't get

[14:33] super awesome adventurers. Turns out, though, that just being a badass is its own skill, and he can do what he wants. It's not technically a cheat skill is involved. But when we do just time skip through all of that training, from a

[14:48] watching perspective, it's not that much different. Toss. Inexpressive Kashiwada and Expressive Ota, a comedy/s sliceoflife series where of one another as far as how much they let their emotions affect their outside

[15:04] movements and expressions. Kashiada is a small, quiet girl who doesn't seem to poker faces you've ever seen. Conversely, her classmate can be read extremely easily as most of his thoughts can be seen through his expressions and

[15:19] actions. It's become Ulta's mission to make Kashiada react to something or show some kind of emotion beyond her usual blank expression. And the series showcases his attempts to do this as the pair begin their unconventional romance.

[15:33] The enjoyment here really comes down to how much you enjoy this pair's interactions. It's a bit more difficult than normal since as part of the joke, Kashiada doesn't react to anything. So, the series constantly has to use bubbles

[15:46] to actually tell you her actual feelings at any given moment. And since half the joke is that can never seem to get her to react to anything, it's not like with any given scheme, you think that maybe this time he will succeed. No, he won't.

[16:00] a level of charm to it. It's like watching Wy Coyote face off against the difference is that I would actually rather watch that interaction than the showcased here in this show's first episode. Tossing this one.

[16:17] episode. Tossing this one. Let's Play Quirky Romance about a young game developer from LA who just released her first video game. The game is doing reasonably well until a popular streamer covers the game, blitzes through

[16:30] instructions, fails on the first challenge, and then calls out her game as the worst that he has ever played. This leads to his massive following, with all of the hate she's getting on her new game, despite being also an

[16:44] anxious mess half the time. But surprise, her new next door neighbor just so happens to be the very same streamer who badmouththed her game. What a coincidence. I'm tossing.

[16:57] I'm tossing. Little Miss Vampire can't suck, right? This one's It's in the title, really. Alternate modern day when fantastical creatures are commonplace and our protagonists are a human and a vampire.

[17:09] The human is an unassuming male and the vampire is a normally cool but secretly frustrated vampire who doesn't know how to suck blood from people despite that being, you know, not only the the main thing that vampires are known for, but

[17:23] also something that biologically is required for her body to work correctly. Okay. Our male protagonist is kind, however, very kind. And he offers up his arm for her to practice, which she accepts willingly, and thus their

[17:36] accepts willingly, and thus their relationship begins. not necessarily a this is going. I kind of wish that the least in the early episodes. The existence of other supernatural entities

[17:49] fact that their class seems to be made up of near entirely regular humans besides the one vampire seems a bit of a waste. Also, our little vampire here, on that because you'd figure at least one of her parents are also vampires who

[18:04] could explain to their daughter how things worked, but that hasn't happened. because, you know, that would get in the way of the main gist of the plot, being a vampire who can't suck, right? Ultimately, I can't say that the series

[18:17] sucks. But I also don't see much of reason to continue it personally. Toss. May I ask for one final thing? What could that final thing be? Oh, she just

[18:29] wants to punch that lying sack of dressed up garbage in the face. Then she nobleman who supported her foe engagement for the last 17 years. Finally, she wants to beat the ass of the prince who publicly humiliated her

[18:42] then, you know, toss her away and make all of her suffering meaningless. I honestly don't expect the show to keep up the surprises that I felt while watching the first episode. But regardless, I reward the series for its

[18:55] regardless, I reward the series for its pluck. Please watch this show. Keep [Music] mechanical Marie. At first, I walked into this thinking that it would be a reminder to me of the old robot made

[19:07] shows of old. But no, actually, because to call Marie a robot would be an absolute fabrication. Her master Arthur is subject to a myriad of assassination plots after his father has determined that he will be the heir to his family's

[19:20] company. Despite the fact that Arthur is an illegitimate child, he trusts nothing and no one. So when his head of security presents to him the latest from their company's labs, a robotic maid, he believes it very quickly for some

[19:32] reason. Sure, Marie has been an emotionless person for all her life, so that's an advantage. But she is not a robot. They are lying to her master. But front of Arthur, or else he might dismiss her immediately for being

[19:47] untrustworthy. She's not a robot. She's just got to act like one, I think. Yeah, While I generally like Marie as a character and, you know, the situations that she's placed in, all of the assassination plots thus far are just

[20:01] like this mish mash of mustache twirling villains and it's really hard to take would have been better if they actually had Marie be a robot, but you know,

[20:14] that's not to be. So, it'll be a toss from me. My awkward senpai. A woman works in the marketing department for a Japanese company. Everyone thinks that she's cool and standoffish, and it turns out she's

[20:27] just awkward. She gets a new trainee who will probably help her combat that, and they will probably also end up in a relationship. Good for them. Have fun, relationship. Good for them. Have fun, kiddos. Toss for me.

[20:39] My friend's little sister has it in for me. H A R E M. What's that spell? Nothing [ __ ] good. Episode one of this series wastes no time in showing

[20:51] off the body of our main character's friend's little sister. So, you know, she can fit into the little sister archetype, but we can bypass all of the out of our protagonist and teases him endlessly, hoping that he'll actually

[21:04] make a move, but he never does. The home room teacher of the show gets a bunch of spotlight, so I'm sure she'll be important later. Oh, and Buddy's uncle comes along and gets our protagonist to be in a fake boyfriend girlfriend

[21:16] relationship with his own cousin. So, yeah, you thought we bypass the incest, didn't you? But surprise, being cousins isn't really incest, is it? It's far enough removed. So, let's get this herm going. Right into the trash where it

[21:30] belongs. Toss. Quickly though, let's take a break for a moment. Give myself a chance to collect myself before we continue on with the next section. but to supporters of this channel over on Patreon. Because while this video is in

[22:13] isekai though, but really that doesn't really matter. A human boy lives in a world with a bunch of different fantasy races. And his only skill is that of an unlimited gotacha. You know, a gotcha that he can roll in unlimited times for

[22:25] free. But anytime that he has tried using it, he's only ever gotten worthless junk. Because it's still an unlimited gotcha. though he gets dragged into the Concord of Tribes, a group of adventurers who on the surface want to

[22:38] care for him and live harmoniously with all of the different beast folk and around because he could potentially have a super overpowered cheat skill. And gotcha is in fact worthless, they bring him into the dungeon and try to kill

[22:52] him. He escapes via a hidden teleportation trap. But before bleeding out, he ends up rolling his gotcha one final time because apparently his gotcha has better rates in locations filled with mana, like at the bottom of a

[23:06] dungeon. So instead of pulling junk, he pulls a level 9,999 pulls a level 9,999 warrior maid who is now devoted to him. Episode 1 ends with him vowing to get revenge on those who have wronged him.

[23:18] And then he activates his gotcha again because heck, unless using it actively drains the mana in the area, he's now got an unlimited number of SSR summons at his disposal. So if any of that sounds interesting to you, great. If

[23:31] not, like me, we can just treat it like any other cheat skills and toss it safely into the bin. My status as an assassin obviously exceeds the heroes. While the last one felt like an isekai and wasn't, this one is an isekai and

[23:46] honest. Stop me if you've heard this summoned to a fantasy world by a ruler for unknown reasons. The whole class thing to find out their stats and abilities. And it turns out our

[24:00] protagonist has a secret class or stats that others don't know about or hero is the best class, but apparently not. It's the assassin. But for some reason, he's basically a walking cheat skill and a liability to the king and

[24:14] world. So they frame him for a crime and he has to flee. He might claim revenge or something. Perhaps in a few episodes he'll get the help of some girl that he saves or buys from slavery. I don't know. And I don't intend to find out. I

[24:29] tossed it. Ninja versus Gokuo. I just realized that I've given out like a toss to eight shows in a row. Will this show be the one to break the streak? Nope. No, it will not. So, you have a ninja, which

[24:44] needs no explanation. And then you have a Gokuo, which are like some kind of different from that, but they're still people who commit crimes and such. Anyway, the Gokuo and the ninja have some kind of generational beef with one

[24:56] another. And that all builds up until present day when one very good ninja and the shadow leader of the Gokuo end up unknowingly bonding with one another over anime. despite them, you know, being fierce rivals, will this amount to

[25:10] anything? Will their roles in their societies be revealed to one another and death? Unlikely. More likely is that friendship and it won't be until like the end of the show that they both find

[25:22] out who they really are while spending, you know, the entire show just thwarting each other constantly behind the scenes. Or perhaps just the Goko will try to do crimes and the ninja will stop him. Not sure. Also, I'm not all that invested.

[25:37] situations, you know, despite not actually being a comedy. Having guys who are still able to react to the violent situations around them despite their own heads being recently cut off is amusing, but it's not anywhere near enough to get

[25:51] but it's not anywhere near enough to get this show onto my watch list. Toss. Pass the monster meet my lady. A European-like noble society. Our main character has gained a reputation as a gluttonous villainess for her skill at

[26:04] processing monsters and turning them into edible foods. Real delicacies that they taste horrible, but because they cannot conceive of eating anything that cannot conceive of eating anything that came from a monster. Our Lady Meeria Mel

[26:19] Meline, our protagonist, knowing she is an outcast, tries to take solace in her that she will never be able to find a nobleman who could possibly accept her food hobbies until she does. Within similar social circles is the Mad Duke,

[26:33] a powerful knight and warrior that is exceptionally skilled at killing monsters. He's never tried eating one before, though, but surprisingly enough, he's curious. And thus, the relationship between our two protagonists has begun.

[26:45] This is sort of like if you took Leos from uh Dungeon Messi, doubled him, and made their monster food obsession the crux of the whole show. I don't know if I love it, but like the Mad Duke, I'm curious. So, for now, we're going to put

[26:58] this on hold. Breaking the streak of tosses for this season. It doesn't last. Plus-sized misadventures in love. I mean, if you ignore the literal elephant in the room, because I'm not qualified to speak on

[27:13] how well or poorly this series handles an overweight character. Beyond all that, it's a fairly standard drama/ romcom. The protagonist wakes up from a attempts to figure out her surroundings. Her amnesia has caused her personality

[27:26] to change into one that is far more outgoing than what she had previously. And she begins to tackle the world like an extremely outgoing person. Turns out though, that there is a murder mystery involved. The police don't think that

[27:38] her suicide attempt was actually that and they believe that it was instead an reason, makes her body clam up and she doesn't know why. Her co-workers talk woman who sits next to her just stole all of her idea notebooks and that's

[27:52] kind of it. I'm not seeing much to actually keep me engaged here. Like, there is a mystery of a sort, but no real push for me to want to see it solved, nor any indication on what solving it would actually mean or

[28:05] solving it would actually mean or accomplish. So, I'm skipping this one. accomplish. So, I'm skipping this one. Sansaru example of when they do. S is a young boy who holds a secret. He's actually a

[28:19] descendant of Santa Claus. His classmate, Fuyamura, is a girl who desperately wants to find her missing friend that disappeared 6 months ago. being a descendant of Santa Claus, she works to reveal his secret so that she

[28:33] may use his powers to help her lost friend. So on a late Christmas afternoon, after having him touch some snow, trick him into giving her a gift, she only needs to have him wear red to release the curse of his family, which

[28:46] she does by stabbing him, and then letting his clothes be dyed red in his blood. But, you know, this somehow turns him, like All Might, into Santa Claus, a large and buff man with no clothes. He can revert back using a package of candy

[29:01] like beans that he keeps on his person for some reason. But now the two of them must use his newfound powers to find our protagonist's lost friend. What is even this show? On paper, this sounds so absurd and quite frankly stupid that I

[29:15] can't believe it works this well. and also that I legitimately want to watch also that I legitimately want to watch more because I do. Solid keep Shabbake. Old school Eeto Japan where spirits are commonplace living with humans or at

[29:29] least they are visible to one particular apothecary family in the city whose son first episode shows him trying to make the best of his poor constitution and with his life before he stumbles upon a murder. Considering that the series is

[29:44] that our young protagonist decides to use his ability to see and direct spirits in order to help solve this murder and a bunch of other mysteries in desperately want to be useful, even if his family won't let him be useful for

[29:58] fear of his own health. I'm not sold on the series just yet, but there is enough here with the characters in the setting that I am curious and at least interested. So, we're going to put this on hold for now.

[30:12] The banished court magician aims to become the strongest. Stop me if you've heard this before. A genius magic user ends up becoming support mage to an adventuring party run by an overconfident prince/noble/ass

[30:26] [ __ ] who not seeing the value in our protagonist banishes him from the party. The protagonist then instantly joins up with either a struggling or previous party full of former friends, and they end up being the best party ever, making

[30:39] his previous team jealous. I've just described like 50 different shows. You've heard it before, and really, there's not much more here. The show starts off with our protagonist and his mentor, who tries his best to impress

[30:53] upon his young student to not become a court magician. cut over to the end of a he's going to repay his master by becoming a court magician. Why? Which I

[31:05] assume then is how he, you know, joined the princess party only to then get kicked out shortly afterwards. Generally speaking, my recommendation is to toss this one because it's been done before and better. But honestly and

[31:18] I find myself drawn to this kind of narrative even if it's repetitive. I I stories about a protagonist who was cast aside because they're not valued for their worth and and only to then find a home with some people who will come to

[31:33] then, you know, it's nice to see the previous team get their own unique comeuppants as well. I'm still going to put it as a toss while fully admitting that I may end up personally watching the whole thing. We'll see.

[31:47] The dark history of the reincarnated villainess, a not too different villainess story from the normal mold. A Japanese woman spends most of her middle and high school years coming up with a wonderful fantasy world where she's a

[31:59] noble lady and she has a prince as a partner. And they have this whole wonderful narrative of trials and tribulations and romance. But eventually this Japanese woman grows up to be hit by truckun and sent into a fantasy

[32:12] world, her fantasy world. except instead of taking the place of the noble lady who she wrote as a self-insert and shares a name with, she instead wakes up in the body of her quote unquote sister, the jealous villainess who tries to kill

[32:25] her perfect sister at the start of the story. So now our protagonist finds herself in the situation of needing to survive the very events she wrote while also dealing with her now new desire as a sister to protect her perfect sister

[32:41] at all costs from the very threats that she herself wrote as a child. I'd like it a lot more if they didn't try to like play up the so much of the narrative angle of trying to protect her sister

[32:54] change of events from the normal formula, but I don't think at least with that all that much and instead we just slowly slip into the tried andrue tropes

[33:06] of this subgenre in a way that I didn't find all that interesting or engaging. I'm going to give it a few more episodes to see if it changes its tune, but I'm to see if it changes its tune, but I'm not hopeful. So, hold for now.

[33:20] not hopeful. So, hold for now. This monster wants to eat me. Oh boy, how do I even handle this? We got a protagonist who is teetering on the edge of despair. Her whole family appears to have died in some years previous,

[33:32] leaving her alone and broken. She's got an overprotective friend who does her know, she's limited by her own sickly body. And really though, our protagonist, for lack of a better description, just seems to be waiting to

[33:46] die despite, you know, only being in high school. For whatever reason, however, her body is quite delectable to other worldly creatures, leaving a hag to try and drag her into the sea near

[33:58] her school. But instead of being devoured, our protagonist gets rescued by a mermaid. a mermaid who herself admits to wanting to eat the flesh of our protagonist as it is apparently set to become more and more delicious as

[34:11] time passes. So, the mermaid then vows to protect our protagonists from the other beasts who would attempt to feed on her. But make no mistake, the mermaid she even goes so far as to join the high school as a transfer student in order to

[34:25] protect her soontobe meal. How does our protagonist feel about all this? while she appears happy because the mermaid might actually fulfill her wish and let her die, which is really sad. I have to

[34:41] about this show that follows like any sort of trend or obvious trope. And because of that, I have no idea where this story is going to go. What is the story even going to be like? And most importantly, how could it end? Do these

[34:57] characters just like traverse this world as normal with our protagonist getting defended at every turn by the mermaid only for the mermaid to devour her at the end? Do the pair fall in love and our protagonist finds a reason to want

[35:11] been a misunderstanding by an unreliable narrator who is so deep in depression that she can't tell fantasy from reality anymore? I don't know, but I really want

[35:23] to find out. So, we're keeping this one. Tojima wants to be a common rider. So, we have a guy that grew up loving common rider. He did the whole chibio thing rival gang of high school students because, you know, that's what a

[35:38] champion against shockers and the forces of evil would do. But reality has a way of crushing your dreams, especially if that dream is to be common rider. So, our protagonist Tojima has resolved to live a normal life despite, you know,

[35:51] his continued inner desires to still be common rider even at 40 years old. So, when a different guy, a gangster, grows up loving Common Rider, but rather the antagonists of Common Rider instead, and he gets his henchmen to act the part,

[36:05] well, there's only one person who can stop them, right? But reality keeps trying to crush things down. like our guy here is fighting between his childlike desires and his adult normalization of the world around him.

[36:18] What will this mean going forward is anyone's game, but for my part, I am curious about just how deep this man's delusions will go and what it will mean for the rest of his life. So, for now, I'm putting this on hold.

[36:33] Touring after the apocalypse, a pair of cute girls traveling around an apocalyptic wasteland of Japan. There's even a tank involved. Stop me if you've instead of other shows that are just following a formula or of like a popular

[36:49] subgenre, the idea of a post-apocalypse trek of characters is not rare, just uncommon. I mean, it's also just because I couldn't stop thinking about Girls doesn't mean that the show doesn't have its own merits. One of our protagonists

[37:05] is seemingly the last human on Earth, and she is trying to find happiness by recreating a tour around Japan that she took with her sister on their bikes before the world ended. She is accompanied by a smaller girl looking

[37:17] android character with a powerful arm cannon that she met at an apocalypse shelter. And the pair here are going on this journey because seemingly they have nothing better to do and might as well find something to do with the world

[37:29] having gone to crap. What I will give credit for, however, is that this is a beautiful apocalypse. It It's very easy to portray the apocalypse as like an absolute wasteland, a place covered in dirt and debris and surrounded by this

[37:44] dark and suffocating sky. This world here, however, is bright, and it showcases what the world might end up like after a number of years without humans, ruining everything. What this series plans to do going forward for its

[37:58] characters, I'm not sure, but I am curious to watch and find out where their trek takes them. So, we're keeping this one. this one. Wand Dance, a romance series between a

[38:11] guy that has little confidence and also a prominent stutter in his voice and a girl who just loves dancing. There's not much more to it than that. Our protagonists have a hard time communicating with words, so the act of

[38:23] groove of it, will help their confidence and ability to communicate. But that's not the reason why I'm adding it to my keep list. I'm adding it to my keep list because this anime about a guy who stutters decided to just straight up

[38:37] play the music video to Scatman in the middle of the show. And I can't show you YouTube will just blam this video into the stratosphere. But let me say that watching an anime in 2025 and having the wonderful tones of Scatman John's voice

[38:51] wonderful tones of Scatman John's voice from 1994 is a wonderful feeling. The from 1994 is a wonderful feeling. The dancing is okay with you. Our love will dancing is okay with you. Our love will make it through. Oh boy. romance series

[39:03] in a world where a bunch of years ago there were some experiments done and the results of those experiments were human and dog hybrid beastmen who now lived in their own little section off part of the city so that they can live in peace away

[39:15] ends up being brought out to try his luck at a human school. This dog beast man meets a girl who can't keep her eyes off of his body. And their budding romance begins, delayed by the constant racism allegory that propagates the show

[39:31] in the form of high school bullying to the point where, you know, our pair get locked in the gym storage room because of course they do. And they end up on top of one another and then the girl smells really nice and then we cut to

[39:43] the credits on episode 1. But would it surprise you to learn that the original author also wrote an 18 plus manga called Hana and the Beastmen that's very similar to this except you know 18 plus. I wasn't surprised to find that out

[39:56] after watching this episode and now you shouldn't be either. Ultimately though I'm I'm not going to let the the beast on human action detract from this show out the world seems to be and the

[40:10] relationships between our leads is quite nice. barring stuff. I just really don't want to continue to see any more borderline 18 plus content because my normal stance still applies where why do that when

[40:23] hentai exists. And also, if the narrative can keep away from the appreciate it because I don't and never have liked watching that kind of content. If it does any of that, I could see me watching the whole thing this

[40:36] season, especially with the amount of skips that I'm already giving this season. But if it can't follow those hopes of mine, then I will toss it. But for now, it is on hold. Yanokun's Ordinary Days. I would argue

[40:50] that the title here is a lie because Yanokun doesn't have ordinary days unless you consider being overly klutsy and cursed by some god of bad luck to be an ordinary day. Because that's what happens to Yanokun. He is a normal

[41:04] school injured with various bandages and eye patches. And the class rep gets concerned and she starts to follow him because she's worried about him and side of a gang or anything, but he is just an extremely unlucky and clumsy

[41:19] person. This is their comedy and soon to be romance. I assume it's decent enough, you know. I just didn't see much to keep me personally interested here. The gags are nice and the characters are interesting, sure, but um I just don't

[41:34] see myself holding on to it. like I want to give it at least a hold because I can't really find anything wrong with it. It just didn't grab me. So, unfortunately, I'll have to leave this one with a toss. But that is it for our

[41:51] understand what I was talking about at the top of the video. There are some possible gems here, right? I just didn't enjoy most of this. I hope that one or two of the keeps end up sticking, but if they don't, well, there's always next
