AI Summary

This video provides a critical analysis of YouTube niches that are no longer profitable in 2025, offering a framework for identifying high-potential niches. The creator, who claims to have scaled to over €10,000 per month, explains the characteristics of good and bad niches, then reviews nine specific examples of failing niches, and finally highlights two promising alternatives.

[00:43]
Definition of Niche and Sub-niche

A niche is the main topic of a channel, while sub-niches are more specific categories within it. For example, sports is a niche, while football or Formula 1 are sub-niches.

[01:10]
Characteristics of a Good Niche

A good niche has high demand, is not saturated in multiple markets, has low barrier to entry, and a high RPM (revenue per mile). It should also have reference channels with more views than subscribers, indicating high interest.

[02:44]
Understanding RPM and CPM

RPM (revenue per mile) is what YouTube pays the creator per 1,000 views, while CPM is what advertisers pay YouTube. Average RPM in Spain is €1-€3, and a niche with RPM of 5 is considered very good.

[03:24]
Characteristics of a Bad Niche

A bad niche has high competition, high barrier to entry, low RPM, and is not scalable. Many new creators choose general niches without proper analysis, leading to poor results.

[04:02]
Example 1: Declining Viral Niche

A channel with 150k subscribers that used to get millions of views now gets only a few thousand, generating around €150/month. This niche is no longer in demand and has a low RPM, making it a bad long-term choice.

[05:53]
Example 2: Reddit Stories Niche

Channels like 'Reddit Family Tales' have low CPM/RPM, requiring millions of views to earn significant income. They also have a high barrier to entry (uploading 4 videos/day) and are at risk of being flagged as reused content.

[07:12]
Example 3: History Niche with Sensual Content

A friend's history channel had low RPM (€0.80 per 1,000 views) and resorted to sensual content to get views, but this led to demonetization and copyright issues. Such content is not sustainable long-term.

[08:32]
Example 4: Meditation Niche

Meditation channels with just background music are hard to monetize and have low RPM. They are not recommended unless you create your own audio and have experience.

[09:14]
Example 5: AI-Generated Channels

AI-generated channels can have decent RPM but are risky due to high competition and potential for being taken down. They offer short-term income but not stability.

[10:08]
Example 6: Motivational Content

Motivational channels often use clips from others, leading to copyright issues and low RPM. The audience has low purchasing power, making it unattractive to advertisers.

[10:35]
Example 7: Children's Channels

Children's content has very low RPM because advertisers avoid it. Even channels with millions of views generate less than €1,000/month.

[11:54]
Example 8: Music Content

Music channels have low monetization rates (50-60% not monetized) and low RPM. They are not a stable income source.

[12:35]
Example 9: Video Game Niche

Gaming channels attract an audience with low purchasing power, resulting in low RPM (€1 or less). Even with millions of views, income is limited.

[13:03]
Good Niche Example: Religious Content

Religious channels like 'Bible Trail' have high RPM (around €5) and generate millions of views, making them highly profitable. Content is easy to duplicate with stock images and voiceover.

[14:01]
Second Good Niche Example: Religion Channel

Another religion channel 'God is' generates close to 700k views/month and could easily make over €3,000/month due to long videos and high RPM.

The video emphasizes that choosing the right niche is critical for YouTube success. Avoid saturated, low-RPM niches and focus on high-demand topics with low competition and high revenue potential, such as religious content.

13:03

[00:01] your channel a success or dooms it to failure. And although thousands of gurus claim to finding those potential niches, the truth is that most are completely wrong. If you 're not in the right niche, it doesn't matter if

[00:14] matter if you produce the best content, you're literally throwing your money, your effort, your time away. And I'm telling you this scaling to more than €10,000 per month with this business model is not

[00:29] this video I'm going to show you the niches you should avoid if you want to make money with YouTube and the characteristics a niche should have to be into what constitutes a good niche or a bad niche, we need to

[00:43] know what a niche is. And the niche is what we're talking about within our channel, that is, the topic we 're covering in all of them. the videos. One thing to keep in mind is that we have the niche and then we have the

[00:57] sub-niches. An example of a niche would be sports, since we are talking about sports in general, the sports niche, and a sub-niche of sports would be, for example, football, Formula 1, motorcycles, etc. So once we have

[01:10] this clear, what is a good niche? A good niche is one that has high demand and is not being duplicated in several markets. What do I mean by this? We always need to have certain reference channels, certain

[01:24] channels to inspire us, to get content from those channels, and obviously where we're going to open our channels. What we do is always analyze those reference channels, which are usually in English, leverage

[01:37] that channel and take it to another market, whether it be Spanish, Portuguese, French, etc. But Spanish is the most common language . A potential niche is also one that has a lot of demand, where all the channels within

[01:50] the niche have many more visits than subscribers, and that also validates it as a niche with high demand. Ultimately, if there are many more that there are many people interested in that topic, that niche. Obviously,

[02:05] a good potential niche is also one where the barrier to entry is low, meaning that we don't need content with animations, we don't need the best voice, we don't need the best script. Obviously we need to produce

[02:18] quality content, but it's not necessary to spend hundreds of euros a Because if we really have to spend so much money on content at the beginning, one thing is, you probably won't be able to because you're starting completely from scratch and you

[02:31] 're not generating any income. And two, to recoup that investment you'll need a lot of visits and a lot of revenue. Something else that must be taken into account, and is what truly makes that niche scalable to more than

[02:44] that niche scalable to more than five figures per month, is the RPM. RPM stands for revenue per mile, which means it's what YouTube pays you for every 1000 views. There's CPM, which is the money YouTube earns from videos,

[02:56] and then there's RPM, which is the money you keep. And the average RPM keep. And the average RPM is €1 to €3 here in Spain, in the Spanish market. And a niche with an RPM of 5 could be characterized as a very good

[03:11] potential niche, because for every 1000 visits we are generating we are visits we are generating we are earning €6, which means that to scale to €5,000 per visits, which is not easy, but it is possible if you know what you have to

[03:24] do in each of the situations. Let's now talk about what a bad niche is. A bad niche would be one where there is a lot of competition, where the barrier to entry is very high, where there is no good RPM, meaning that it cannot be

[03:38] scaled, but above all I would say the competition. These days, more and more people are opening YouTube channels, but they don't know what they have to do. So what they do is choose a general niche and

[03:50] all jump into it at once. And that's what happens, and that's why people don't get results, because they don't know how to find the niches with the characteristics I mentioned earlier. I just told you about the characteristics that

[04:02] potential. And now I'm going to show you some of them that are bad niches, and I said, let's get to it. The first channel I want to show you is this one right here. If we look at popular videos, we see that there are videos

[04:18] that have gotten 10 million views, or 4,000 views. 3,000 visits. But if we go to the most recent videos on this channel, in this niche, we see that it is currently a niche that is no longer of interest, there is no longer a great demand

[04:31] because almost all the videos are dead and we do see some videos with 1800, 2000, 3,000 views, but in relation to the subscribers they have that is nothing. If we look at the visits generated in the last 30

[04:45] visits, and with the type of content this person is uploading, this content does not have high RPM content. So, you could say that this channel with almost 150,000 subscribers is only generating about €150

[05:00] per month, which is indeed extra income, but I'm telling you that what this channel is generating is covered by equipment costs. In other words, what I mentioned earlier about the barrier to entry. Previously, this type of content

[05:13] was very viral, but now it is perceived as cheap content and, above all, . What I would do in this case is analyze the videos that have worked the most, analyze what is working recently, because yes, he

[05:27] has videos with millions of views, but today I am sure that other types of things are working. So, analyze what's working today, change that miniature format, that packaging, and

[05:39] today, because what worked a few years ago isn't what works today. channel, as you've seen, may have some videos with millions of views, but it's not a channel to watch in the long term. Because? Because there is a lot of

[05:53] instability in visits. Let's go for the second niche and the channel is called Reddit Family Tales. It's also a channel that generated videos with a lot of views six months ago, almost millions of views, but it's a channel that

[06:06] 's literally Reddit stories. These types of channels have a very low CPM and RPM, and to really scale this to €3,000, €4,000, €5,000 per month, we need many millions of visits. And yes, it's possible to do it, but it

[06:20] 's much more difficult than finding a niche where we don't need so many visits to generate that income. This channel is generating around 2,700,000 before, the barrier to entry is very high for starting out

[06:34] Because notice that he's uploading about four videos a day. So you're uploading four videos a day of 30, 30, 50 minutes and probably at the point you are now you can't

[06:46] afford to start with four videos a day of all this length. Besides, with this type of channel you can earn an extra income for about 3 months, but you can't look at this channel in the long term because I'm sure

[07:00] this topic will lose interest. To conclude, regarding this channel , this niche, and the new policies, it wouldn't make much sense to create these types of channels because it would be detected as either reused

[07:12] or repetitive content. Let's move on to the next channel, which is this one we're looking at here, which is a channel within the history niche. It's called Cleopatra's Treasure and this channel belongs to a great friend of mine, and I've seen the whole process he's had to

[07:25] go through to get the views we're seeing on screen. It is a channel that has generated videos with 2,000 views, 2 million views, 800,000 views, 600,000 views. And first of all, the

[07:38] 600,000 views. And first of all, the RPM of this channel was very, very low. And 1000 visits this channel was generating, it was earning about 80 cents. The person managing this channel

[07:50] identified what they needed to do to make these videos work, and they needed to create slightly more sensual content, but from that era, to make them successful. What was happening? That 80%, 70% of the videos he uploaded, in

[08:06] the vast majority of cases, either ended up getting the videos taken down, or his channel was demonetized, or the videos were flagged in yellow and he couldn't monetize them . And this is a reflection not only of this channel, but of

[08:19] sensual channels in general. There are many channels where you can generate millions of views by creating more sensual content, but by creating that type of content we are not going to find the income we are looking for in the long term.

[08:32] Let's move on to the next niche, and it's a meditation channel. I don't recommend doing it unless you're very experienced and generate your own audio. millions of views per month, but look, it's what we've seen

[08:45] n't generating many views these days, and as I mentioned before, since it's a video without voiceover or storytelling, just background music, it's much harder to monetize and will create many more

[08:59] obstacles when you try to Let's move on to the next niche, and I want to talk a little bit about several in general, which is the channels that are made with artificial intelligence. And I've put

[09:14] as a reference for what I is generating a good number of visits per month. It has a decent RPM because it's making 30-minute videos, but we can't rely on a channel like that and look at it

[09:30] in the long term. Because? Because this channel does work very well, it generates the visits we're looking for, that income, but then you decide what you want: that short-term income, generating that income all at once and then

[09:43] plummeting, or building a channel that generates income for you every day in a more stable way. This is something each person decides on a personal level. Today I prefer to focus on channels, on niches that generate

[09:56] daily income for me, and not depend on and worry about that channel being taken down every day. And besides, there is a lot, a lot of competition in this type of niche in general . Let's go for the next niche and we have this channel

[10:08] here called Value Row, which is more motivational content. What's going on ? Motivational content is usually taken from clips on other motivational channels have a lot of copyright issues. Apart from that,

[10:22] apart from having a lot of copyright problems and not monetizing five out of every ten videos , the RPM is very, very low because in the end you attract a huge audience with a very, very low purchasing power.

[10:35] Let's go for the next niche, and that's children's channels. We have this channel here and this channel here. I've given you two reference channels. This two reference channels. This channel is a channel where they talk about certain

[10:48] stories from specific series. It's a channel that's generating 1,600,000 visits, but what happens when it's children's content? Purchasing power is very, very low, and this channel here, which is generating a lot of visits—in fact,

[11:01] we've seen almost 2,000 visits a month—isn't generating even €1,000, and this other one here is more of the same. The RPM is very, very low. In terms of visits, it's

[11:13] generating 10 million visits per month, but most of them are from all the short videos it uploads. So, we can't focus on the monthly visits it's generating, and even if it were that many , the RPM, I repeat, is very, very low

[11:28] because it's attracting an audience of young children, and advertisers aren't going to want to invest money in this type of content. Before we continue, if you'd like me to send you a list of niches that are truly promising so you

[11:40] can start creating those channels today, just send me the word "niche" via the Instagram link below, which you 're seeing on the screen, and I'll send you the list. That said, let's move on to another niche that's bad. The

[11:54] next niche is music, okay? It's music content. We have this reference channel here called The Japanese Town, which is a channel that is generating 2,000 visits per month, but as I said before, 50-60%

[12:07] of this entire channel is not monetized, and if you manage to monetize it, okay? It's content that also generates quite a few recurring visits, but it's not a channel we can look at as a stable income, because many times

[12:21] we can create a publishing strategy, but what we don't know is how many of those videos we're going to make we're going to monetize or not. And I repeat, if we manage to achieve monetization for the videos. The next niche is

[12:35] here, which is the channel I've given you as a reference, is called Jetro. It's a channel that's generating about a million views a month, but it's the same as children's content. It's attracting an audience that YouTube is

[12:48] n't interested in promoting with its ads, and while we do see videos generating hundreds of thousands of views, the RPM is going to be quite low because it's a niche video game industry, meaning the RPM will be

[13:03] one or even much less. And finally, I didn't just want to include bad niches, but I also included two that are good and that I personally would enter own channel in. This one here is called the Bible Trail. Obviously we would have to

[13:17] analyze formats, etc., but this is just to give you an idea of the type of channels. It's a channel that's generating 3.5 million visits per month and it's a religious channel. Religious content, which is also usually long content,

[13:31] has an RPM of approximately 5. So, I can assure you that this channel is making more than €10,000 a month and it's not content that's difficult to duplicate. It's the typical video explaining history with stock images,

[13:46] sometimes generated with artificial intelligence, and a good voiceover in the this person knows what they have to do and is duplicating it all the time. And this is also a religion channel called God is

[14:01] many millions of views. It is generating close to 700,000 visits per month. But as I said, since it's a religion channel with longer videos, this channel could easily be making more than €3,000 a month. If what I've shown you

[14:14] I want to tell you that at the 1 of 10 Academy we help people who are starting completely from scratch or people who have already launched their channels, but haven't been their channels again and help them every step of the way to generate that income. At the

[14:29] academy we teach the skill to generate €2,000 per month in 90 days. And on both my Instagram and my YouTube channel you have testimonials, you have videos where we show real results so that the person can see that

[14:42] we are literally the best at what we are doing. People who literally started from scratch and are now making more than €4,000, €5,000, €10,000 too want to be the next success story, I want to tell you that below in

[14:55] the description, in the first link, you can schedule a call with us to see if we can help you and guide you to achieve those results. If you resemble our success stories, before you become successful, you
